I have come to this Walgreens for the past 20 years. They are consistent, they are friendly, and they take care of me for my prescription refills with ease. I truly wish I had come on here to read the reviews before recently switching to this pharmacy. I am a new customer and the two times that I have come to pick up my prescriptions have both been incredibly unpleasant. The first time I came the girl was so rude, I wasn't really sure if it was just a terrible employee. I own a business and I know that people have bad days and some employees are better than others. The second time I went it was on my way out of town. I pulled up to the pick up window and I'm immediately asked to come back Because it's 130 and apparently the entire pharmacy shuts down at 1:30. I had no indication of this. There are no signs of it anywhere yet they incessantly call me and text me that my prescriptions are ready. They don't know how to schedule their staffing in a way where they don't have to shut down the entire pharmacy? When I said I was going out of town and trying to avoid traffic the guy told me he would "get in trouble" for even talking to me and it was literally 1:30 on the dot. He then shut the window and walked away. If I hadn't just gone through the hassle of switching due to a move I would be looking for another option immediately. read more

Pharmacy staff is not helpful. They would rather pass the buck and argue instead of helping resolve problems to get their customers medication. I called about a specific medication and provided a coupon that they would not use properly even with instructions. Publix is hands down a better experience. read more

These folks have the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. Was once told off by a kid that mentioned by name, telling e that I wasn't their only customer. The pharmacist told me to call at 4 and this kid said I called 8 times Total BS. I called 2x. Never ever had anyone anywhere treat me so rude! These ppl are horrid. I can't help that I am sick from a spinal injury and then past yr a shattered shoulder. Trying to find another store that can accommodate me. Cant complain to the manager, Amanda....she is the worst one These ppl shouldn't be working in this field if they cant be nice. Terrible pharmacy service. Hung up 2x on the doctor who was calling in the antibiotic. Then 3 hours later when I called to see if they had it ready they said they didn't have time to check the phone lines. I asked when they could do it and they said they didn't know. I know they are understaffed during the pandemic however they need to hire more staff and also not be rude and non attentive. read more

I just got my pneumonia shot at the CVS in Toco Hill yesterday. Why? Because the pharmacist's attitude about giving me one at this Walgreens was totally unacceptable. I went early on a Sunday morning (thinking it wouldn't be busy then) and was admonished to never come to a pharmacy for anything like that during the opening hour or closing hour, since pharmacists are very busy. I was told to come back in an hour. I shopped in the store and killed 1 1/2 hours and returned to the Pharmacy Department. The Pharmacist rudely said there was no way she could help me that day and to come back between 10-5, Monday thru Friday. It wasn't what she told me, but the rudeness in her voice that was such a put off. I stopped by the closest CVS, asked if they could accommodate me. They said they would get the vaccine and call me in the morning. Then I could come at my convenience to get the vaccine. I took care of it on the weekend. Problem solved. Buh-bye, Walgreen's Pharmacy......you have lost a customer. I have always found the other store personnel at this Walgreens store very nice - but this pharmacist needs an attitude adjustment if you are going to keep your customers. read more

I don't know what it is but every time I have gone to this place it's the guys that really help you figure things out. But the older women seem to be very lazy and don't wanna work. If they are not happy they should go find a job that doesn't consist of talking to people or working with people. They seemed very racist, ignored other people including myself. Absolute worst pharmacy experience ever. Let me start by saying I have been getting all of our family prescriptions filled here for several years. Typically, I do not have an issue. I was told my dog needed to be on insulin immediately. My vet called it in Saturday, faxed it over and followed up. I tried twice on Saturday to retrieve the prescription and once again on Sunday to no avail. My vet called again Monday morning. I followed up after waiting for 20 minutes on hold to get through to the pharmacy. They still said they did not have the prescription and I should go get a paper copy from my vet because maybe something was wrong with THEIR (Walgreens) system. They called me back and said they did have the prescription and I should pick up after 2 PM. I pulled up at 2:15 and they said it would be 15- 20 minutes. I asked if they actually had what I needed in stock? "We don't know, what do you need?" YOU have the prescription not me! "What type of syringe do you need?" I don't know I've never done this before! "We have it, but it will take a few minutes. Pull around to get behind the car that's waiting behind you". Me circling again. Car leaves. I pull up. "Please park and we will wave to you when ready". There is no one behind me. I will move if someone comes up. " no just park". Circling store again and park. Phone call 2 mins later " your prescription is ready". Rude, unhelpful, uninformed, unprofessional. read more

Honestly my second home. The staff is wonderful to meet every week, and the store stocks are always full. The makeup they supply is great quality, and the store is very COVID safe. I haven't seen a single person near or in the store without a mask. read more

Waiting for an hour with anxious kids for a flu shot.. do not get it here.. people nice enough but way too long

My 5 year old son had a serious tooth infection to the point that his face was swollen to the size of a grapefruit, he had serious pain and ultimately had to have the tooth removed. My oral surgeon called in his antibiotics into the Oak Grove Walgreen immediately. After his surgery I went to pick them up (a couple hours after the prescription had been called in) and was told they would not be ready until the afternoon. I explained that he was in a lot of pain and needed to start antibiotics ASAP. They just responded by saying they were busy and would call me when his prescription was ready. After not hearing from them for 2 hours, I called several times and was finally about to make my way through the phone tree to talk to the actual pharmacy department. I was told that they did not have any in stock and I would need to wait until after the weekend. I calmly explained that my son had a serious infection and should have already started the antibiotics and certainly could not wait until after the weekend. She said I should call around to other Walgreens and see if they had the antibiotics in stock. I asked if that was something she could help me with. She said no, that they were very busy. I called the Tucker Walgreens and this pharmacist was able to quickly tell me they were also out of stock and within 30 seconds was able to tell me that only one Walgreens in the area had any in stock (along with the address and phone number). When a pediatric patient who is in a lot of pain needs medicine and I (his mother) am told that it won't be available for three days and told that they are busy and to figure it out myself: this is not appropriate! When I called the oral surgeon's office to ask if I should drive the long distance to the store that actually had stock or change to another medicine, the nurse immediately told me that Walgreens should have called their office immediately to alert them they were out of stock and get recommendations on how to proceed. I was very unimpressed with how this experience progressed. Needless to say, I will choose CVS on North Druid Hills from now on. Patients should be alerted of stock outs, particularly pediatric patients with raging infections who are in a lot of pain. Shame on you! read more

The pharmacy is lightning fast and extremely nice compared to their competitors. I live in walking distance to this Walgreens, but I will never shop there ever again. They have an activist pharmacy that will scrutinize the medications your doctor prescribes--counting the days and number of pills you take accusing you of over taking your medication even when you are taking it exactly as your doctor instructed. My doctor even called and spoke with the pharmacy, my insurances covered it, and they still refused to fill a prescription forcing me to go to a different store that filled it no questions asked. Clearly this store does not want my business and they will never get it again. read more

All I have to say is count and double-check your photos before leaving the store. The people in the photo department don't seem very competent. I like Walgreens as a store but the photo department at this location....not so much. Nuff said. I went back again for more pictures and bought a few other items as well. The lady at the photo counter over-charged me. I had to explain that some of my items were on sale and they adjusted my charge. First they give me someone else's family photos and now this. I am not impressed. Keep an eye on these people and double-check everything. They are clearly doing the bare minimum and are not really into their jobs. read more

absolute nincompoops- went last month for first vaccine shot- took the lady 20 minutes to verify my insurance-(isnt that somthing they do pretty regularly?) went for 2nd shot today- 915 appt- there at 9am when they opened-told lady was there for 2nd vaccine- told to have a seat- at 950 finally went to the window and checked- was told i needed to get in the long line-i was told to sit down and wait,and didnt have another hour to get in back in the long line- im sorry the dingbat that i talked to hasnt been propery trained i guess,but that shouldnt be my fault.instead of appoligizing for the long wait and the mishandling,the clueless pharmacist acted condescending and said i should come back-yes i waisted an hour here today/took off work,and can i pls come back and wait again! morons,and the pharmacist lady needs to return to the wendys drivethrough where she belongs read more

In my experience, hands-down the worst pharmacy for one-time prescriptions. Told them I needed to wait for prescription to be filled, and they told me it would be an hour and a half. Returned 10 min after the time I was told...still not ready. I'm a regular customer (3 members of my family have monthly scripts filled at this location, which are rarely a problem), but they don't ever run my non-refillable scrips through our insurance. read more

Well, it's Walgreen's. Cheap stuff. Profit oriented. Not focused on customer service. If they really wanted to do a good job, they could, but I don't expect it. I use Walgreen's for convenience and get in and out. These stores seem identical to other convenience stores such as CVS, Rite Aid, Target, etc. Most of the merchandise is disposable in that it's cheaper and poorly made and not durable. They sell cigarettes which CVS has dropped. Pharmacy and cigarettes are a contradiction. Praying to god that they don't try to expand into health care. This Oak Grove store needs bike racks near the door. Probably they all do. I would ride there if they had a safe location to lock up. Pretty good place for a convenience store. read more

I had been reasonably happy with this Walgreens until this week when I had a terrible customer service experience trying to get a flu shot. Despite signs in front of the store encouraging people to come in and get a shot, when I popped in over my lunch hour this week, I was told at the pharmacy that an appointment was required to get the vaccine despite no one else being in the pharmacy area at 2pm. The next day I got on the Walgreens app and made an appointment for an open time slot about 55 minutes in the future and received an email with a confirmation number. I arrived at the pharmacy ten minutes before my appointment time, as specified on the app, but when I got to the counter they checked their list and informed me that I had not made my appointment with enough advance notice and that they would not be able to get to me. Quite frustrating for me and the pharmacist's lousy attitude didn't help matters. Needless to say, I'll be taking my prescriptions and business elsewhere. read more
