If I could, I would add negative stars. This is the worst-managed Walgreens I have ever seen. They don't communicate, and various pharmacists give opposite information. They are rude, dismissive, and worst of all, they don't care. They conduct themselves unprofessionally, have lied, and verbally insult customers in front of them. Changing pharmacies is the best thing to do if you want to get your medication on time, with consideration to your health needs and concerns. read more

Every time I have to come to the pharmacy here (since they're open on weekends / after hours) I am reminded of why I switched to Southpoint pharmacy. I have just watched 4 people on a row have problems with obtaining their Rx. I had one called in almost 2 hours ago, came to pick up a bit over an hour later. One person said it would be about 15 minutes when I came to the counter and asked, come back 30 minutes later and my name isn't even in the computer. I've come here three times since switching pharmacies 2 years ago. Three times I've had some sort of issue, the simplest probably being a 3 hour wait for an antibiotic for a toddler simply because they were super busy (to be fair 2 nearby Rite Aides had recently closed and transferred any remaining Rx to this store if customers didn't update settings). Kudos to the staff for having excellent emotion regulation themselves at the end of the day after dealing with upset customers all day- credit where credits is due. Don't know what are the probably multiple breaking points in their system, but must be many. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I will drive to Chapel Hill to the closest CVS to my house next time I need a pharmacy outside of normal hours. It will likely be a lot faster despite longer drive. Ok as I've typed this, make that 6/7 customers in the line closest to me having some sort of hiccup, mostly minor but still. Nice chat with an elderly woman who was nearly in tears and is now waiting to talk with the pharmacist. If you need a pharmacist in normal business hours, highly recommend Southpoint pharmacy right down the street for so many reasons. Several times they've spontaneously offered to go out of their way to do pretty significant things to help me out, but most pertinent to this review I've never had to wait more than 30 mins after a Rx was sent in from the doc office - usually ready about or before I even get there. read more

The pharmacy customer service is horrible. I had called about a prescription of mine and I'm not sure if it was the pharmacist or the tech, but this person was so rude and hateful and then hung up on me. Nothing justifies that type of behavior from someone in that position and I'm sure I'm not the first person that's been done to. I will never go there again or any of the other chains or CVS, etc.. Mom and pop pharmacies are so much better!! I highly recommended Greystone Village Pharmacy on Lead Mine Rd. in Raleigh. They are AMAZING and have never hung up on me nor would they. read more

Walgreens 6405 Fayetteville Rd., Durham, NC 27713 has the worst customer service for the pharmacy that you can ever imagine. I'm ending up transferring my stuff to the Chapel Hill pharmacy. I have made multiple calls to corporate concerning 6405 Fayetteville Rd. pharmacy. The only thing I like about them is that they're 24 seven but they have the worst pharmacy. Walgreen's is the bomb.com. This location sits in a busy area of town so there is always traffic every time i come by. They always have stocked shelves and the staff is always super nice. I happened to be sitting in the parking lot talking to a friend one day when we realized giant cockroaches the size of an adult males thumb were coming from these bushes they had outside. I then look at my car and two of them were crawling on top... That was disguising. I understand nature is nature so i just hoped in my car and ran. Parking is free and again the staff is always nice. I went to four different stores looking for a lipstick a few weeks ago. Am I proud of that? Not really. But I really wanted to try it, it was like $5 and I really didn't want to place an amazon prime order for one measly lipstick. This was the last store I went to and they had the lipstick! Even when the other Walgreens a few miles down the road didn't even carry the range. So weird! Anyway, props to this store for carrying exactly what I was looking for. In general, i find Walgreens to be a very pleasant place to shop- nice drugstore smell, clean and wide aisles, tons of makeup to browse. I'll be back to this one, for sure! read more

This has to be the pharmacy staff ever. I brought my prescription in and I waited almost 2 hours to get it filled .

The only thing that keeps me coming is the 24 hours. But expect long lines for drivethrough and inside for phamarcy . At any time of the day not to mention Pharmacy staff who are so overwhelmed and can't keep up. Phone calls half the time are unanswered and waiting 41 minutes for them to just send you to surveys. Not to mention just trying to call for update on medicine. I swear the only reason I stay with Walgreens is cause of convience sake but thats quickly changing. Drive through may be closed random times which is inconvient and not fair cause the app says everything is open. Its beyond frustrating and disappointing for what I had in other Walgreens. I changed several Walgreens in Durham and now considering changing to a different pharmacy such as CVS or something else. Be prepared for lots of frustrations! read more

This used to be our go-to Walgreens since I believe they are open 24 hours. However, service is spotty and I'm not sure I like their new queuing system where they channel you into one long line that leads up to several registers. I've witnessed one woman complaining about the parking lot to the clerk and another customer take forever to select a cigarette pack. In both instances, the clerks should have recognized the long backed-up line and tried to move things along quicker. This is still where we get most of our prescriptions, but we might not pop in a much for other quick items. read more

If I could award 0 or even negative stars I would. I have gone to this Walgreens because it was convenient and open 24 hours and my new insurance did not cover prescriptions at CVS any longer. Every time I go to have a prescription filled I am met with a level of incompetence and frustratingly bad customer service that I am baffled as to why they continue to allow certain people to have jobs. I question if the prescriptions I am able to have filled are actually filled correctly or if I should be wondering what drugs I am actually dispensed. The staff have continually suggested that I should go to another pharmacy, not another Walgreens, but a totally different pharmacy chain if I want my prescriptions filled. Thank you for your lack of caring, consideration, and customer service. I will heed your advice and will be taking my business elsewhere and not returning. This is the worst one I have been too. They can't forgive out how to fill a script. One minute it is filled, you go there and it's not it will be 15-20 minutes , you drive away and 2 minutes later you get a notification it's ready. Then go back and they can't find it. On 6/29 about 9:35 p.m., the pharmacist's staff at Walgreens were extremely rude and unprofessional. I called hours in advance to refill my prescription. I sat in the drive through patiently as they walked back and forth and completely ignored me. After waiting a long while the pharmacist completed the transaction but did not open the tray completely. I've had issues with them (all with different pharmacy techs) 3 times picking up 3 different meds within the last month..one telling me my insurance ended in 2015, the second showing I hadn't even gotten one of my meds there when I went to pick up the refill (I had to end up having my insurance call figured out the issue, and the third issues trying to pick up another Rx a week later saying it wasn't ready and that I had no refills after the automated system said it was ready for pickup. This place is an absolute joke. I will be transferring all of my meds to a reliable pharmacy . read more

The Employees at checkout almost everyone I've been checked out by are extremely rude! My last visit took place last night, I have emailed customer service with my complaints and I intend to follow up with the executives if necessary because rude aggressive employees should not be employed! I will not tolerate it for one. There are always many people looking for employment who are kind and pleasant and thankful to actually have a job. Worst behavior I've ever exhibited by an employee. Everyone there 9 PM tonight were so helpful. I went there tonight extremely sick and one employee Delta helped me in to the store to the pharmacist to get what I needed. I am home now and not so sad, feeling much better thank God for the female pharmacist. She knew exactly what I needed. Delta, Asia, Tasia and Pam were so sweet to me when I needed it most. I read some of the reviews that are bad but everyone is human. Just because they have on name tags does not mean they are not allowed to have a bad day sometimes like you do. I have never been able to pick up Meds in a timely fashion here and I've been hung up on on multiple occasions when I tried to call in prescriptions. I have been a customer of Walgreen's for several years. I am sad to say that I will be transferring my Rxs to another store. Picking up my Rxs have become more and more painful with each visit the last couple of years or so. If I go inside to pick it up, there is a long line going down the aisle with 30+ minute waits not uncommon. When I go to the drive thru, I usually have to wait AT LEAST 15-20 minutes while the people inside just ignore you. Save yourself some grief and take your Rxs to another store or at least another location! read more

That said, over the last several months, this location has given me and my wife the worst service I have ever received from a retail store. Great online services. Not only can you order things online from the company, you can manage your prescriptions like no other drug store chain I have seen before. Once you register with the site, it tracks every medication you have had or have filled. You can order new refills by using your history or just entering the prescription number, even without an account, and schedule the pickup time. Plus they have a family option that lets you join a family members account with yours so you can check and order refills for both. I am usually the one who gets refills for my wife, so this helps. Just reminded today why I'd left Walgreens and use another pharmacy. Completely unprofessional and unorganized. My provider electronically sent a medication to them, I stopped by last night to pick up and was told they needed 20 minutes to fill. I told them I couldn't wait and would have another pharmacy call to have the prescription transferred. Today they tell me they've deleted the prescription because I said that. Thank you Walgreens. Drive through takes an inordinate amount of time, call to renew takes just as long.

Do not use this pharmacy unless you want to wait an hour to get the wrong prescription filled. What should have taken 15 minutes to do took over an hour to fill and on top of that they filled more than what I asked for and would not take back the extra prescription. I was given wrong information about the return policy and have now wasted more time between getting the original prescription filled and coming back to attempt to resolve the issue, then I have ever cared to. The service was unprofessional. Save your time and go somewhere else. read more

I tried to get a flu shot at another nearby Walgreen's, but they stopped giving shots a half hour before the pharmacy closed, and I missed by about two minutes. So I tried this Walgreen's, because the pharmacy closed two hours later. I showed up almost an hour before the pharmacy was supposed to close, and waited in line, only to be told that they stopped giving shots an HOUR before the pharmacy closed! They said they would give me one anyway, but it would be at least 20 or 30 minutes, and they might not get to me before they closed. I said maybe I should make an appointment, but they said, no, that wasn't necessary, just come back some other time. Yeah, right! I said forget it. What's with advertising pharmacy hours if they are not really open the whole time? How are we supposed to know what the real closing time is for getting shots if it is not advertised and is different for every store? read more

This place has horrible service and they don't even apologize for it. I have had numerous negative experiences at the store but one of the most recent involves them not completing a refill, only doing a partial refill, and not calling it to my attention. I left town right after that and realized what had happened only to find that other Walgreens cannot complete the transaction. Both I and the pharmacist at another Walgreens tried to call the store in Durham and even after a 32 minute wait I could not get an answer on the phone. Therefore I was stuck without my medication. I tried calling multiple times at various times of the day and night and the only answer I would get would come from someone in the front of the store who knew nothing about my prescription. When they would transfer me I would sit with the phone ringing indefinitely without an answer. Upon arriving back in town I made a personal trip to the store, went inside, and found a manager. I basically was told that they are busy and don't plan to answer the phone in the pharmacy unless they have no other customers who are there in person. I explained that does not work well when you are out of state and need help. The manager had no apologies, no suggestions, and pretty much indicated that's just how they function. The only thing that keeps me returning to Walgreens is the ability to usually have prescriptions filled in various locations. Otherwise I would not recommend them to anyone! read more
