This is my favorite Walgreens in the area! Always well kept and things are easy to find. Their team is also incredibly helpful!

Terrible service, overpriced and the staff watch and follow you closely like they're worried you're gonna steal something, there's always a beggar outside, which wouldn't be a problem if the lot of them weren't so aggressive, the cops have been to the place on three separate occasions and frankly the location just seems unsafe and the experience always makes you feel criminal. I once waited in line for 35 minutes to pay for three items because the only cashier left to help someone across the store before helping the building line. I even once watched someone get wrongly accused of stealing just because they reached for their phone. Don't come here. read more

Its clean & convenient. However, the pharmacy is ...... not the best. Their drive thru service is always different, you never know what they will ask. Sometimes its just your name and DOB, other times an ID is requested, sometimes just your DOB & CC. Its a surprise every time. And trying to get a hold of them, yeah good luck, your best bet is going in person. My meds are on automatic refill however I never get a notification of when they'll be ready, again.. its a surprise(: I called twice and after holding (a lady was nice to say we'll be right with you sir) for 18 minutes, I was hung up on. I don't think I've seen quite a subpar Walgreens located in a decent neighborhood. I came here to get my COVID vaccine that was scheduled. I show up to the pharmacy counter and there's about 3 very disinterested pharmacists/ techs there that clearly do not want to be there. I tell them that I had an appointment to get my shot and then they look at the time and then tell me to come back in a hour because they are gonna go to lunch. Really dude? This shot takes less than 5 minutes and I already drove out here and you have the gall to tell me to piss off for a hour then drive all the way back? What's the point of evens scheduling anything? Management needs to clean house at this location and find some staff that actually want to work and enjoy being employed. read more

I came to get two of my daughters prescriptions and was told that the pharmacist (would have to call me in 40 minutes because she needed to be sure the dosage was adequate for the first. The second wasn't available because it needed to be compounded (no one called to say this was an issue when it was sent three days ago). I was in the drive thru and asked if the pharmacist could come to the window but that wasn't an option - pharmacist was too busy. pharmacist then called 30 minutes later to say the prescription was ready with no explanation. I appreciate the safeguards but a bit of customer service from the pharmacist or team would've been helpful. read more

I use this Walgreens for a few of my prescriptions and for general emergency grocery needs. I've had a few frustrations with the pharmacy giving me partial prescription refills due to not having enough of the medicine in stock that then disallowed me from using a Good Rx coupon that would have made the prescription MUCH cheaper because their system couldn't override a partial refill. After arguing about how silly that was and how that allowed Walgreens to make more money on prescriptions by making coupon use difficult, I have just given up and refuse to pick up refills until it is fully filled so I can utilize my Good Rx coupon and save almost 60% in some instances. Other than that, the store is fine and the staff up front at the checkout is always very friendly. read more

First off, my appointment was for a FREE flu shot as advertised on the website. I get to the appointment, some staff standing around talking and didn't acknowledge that I was there. After acknowledging me, I was told told it would be $42. Then told me that it is only free with insurance. She kept asking did I want the vaccine after I said yes several times. She called me back up to take the payment and give me the form to fill out instead of giving of giving it to me while I was up there. I waited another 5 minutes when no one else was there. After finally getting my shot. I asked for immunization form then the pharmacist got an attitude. The customer service is piss poor and the lies about free flu vaccine is outrageous. The pharmacy staff and the cashiers are knowledgeable and super friendly. My issue is with the store's food pantry. I don't know where they store their inventory but everything frozen I have ever purchased there looks like it thawed and refroze/solidified. Ice cream, pizzas....even the candy. I pick up stuff there for the office often and in the last six months everything I've purchased with chocolate - cookies, candy, even Halloween and Christmas candy - the chocolate was melted and solidified or it bloomed. I got a store credit each time but seriously, unless you're picking up a drink, chips or something canned I would avoid getting food there. read more

I actually live next to a CVS but still continue to fill Rxs through Walgreens. I usually just swing by the drive-through but had to grab a few things so I actually went inside the store today. I had an arm full of medications because I didn't grab a basket and Sheila ran over to help me carry my items to check out. She was super sweet and attentive. Friendly, but not invasive. I had the headache of all headaches last weekend. Being out of pain relievers at the casa, I ran into my local Walgreen's to get something to soothe my dying head.... I wanted some Aleve, but it was locked up in the cabinet. (WTF?) Not noticing they had a nifty "call for help" button, I wandered the store searching for someone to help me open the cabinet vs. me breaking into it - yeah it was that bad... Anyway, finally found a VERY helpful employee in the cosmetics department. She must have sensed my pain, because she asked another customer if they wouldn't mind waiting while she helped me. Thankfully, they were very gracious. Anyway, pain reliever in hand, I went to check out with my new best friend in the cosmetics department. Anxious to leave, I was a little impatient that she was going through an endless box of coupons and I didn't understand, until she pulled out a coupon for me to use with my Aleve. Whoa. What customer service! I am going back soon to catch her name and write a thank you letter to Walgreen's for their excellent decision in hiring top notch employees who strive to improve the quality of experience for their customers. I recently moved to the area so I have made this location my "go-to" Wal-greens. It's pretty convenient and I can get in and out pretty quick and the pharmacy drive-thru is usually pretty quick too, if there's not a long line. I have nothing negative to say yet b/c I haven't had a bad experience at this Wal-greens yet, like I did at my old Wal-greens. read more

I like this Walgreens! Every now and again I have an issue with my insurance showing as not covering a medicine that they do cover. This location is the only one that has been able to figure it out quickly and resolve the issue fast. I've also had a situation where my refill on a daily medicine was not called in on time and they gave me an emergency 3 day supply of the medicine without issue. Lastly, everyone in the store is super friendly. The last time I was there the pharmacist made a point to engage with my son while we were in line and the store associates are always helpful. One Con: There is only one drive thru so the line can get long but they are super helpful. read more

She was very standoffish, unhelpful and un-caring. Basically gave me no information and it almost felt like I had done something wrong. Not friendly at all. I lost my job and also my health insurance. During that time, I had to purchase prescription medications so I had to pay out of pocket. Once I got my health care reinstated using COBRA, I filed a claim with my insurance company. They told me that since I paid Walgreens directly, I had to have Walgreens resubmit the charges. Walgreens refused, saying they have policy where they will only do that within 7 days of the original purchase (which is impossible during a transition to COBRA). If you find yourself in a similar situation, you probably want to look to some other pharmacy other that Walgreens. read more

The pharmacy here is a mess. The customer service and delivery of your prescriptions is never consistent. For someone who doesn't know the prescription policy AND it's not even listed on any receipt or pharmacy paper, the way that the pharmacy employees handled my situation was not professional. I had mistakenly refilled a prescription and was in a hurry and picked it up in the drive through. I literally came 10 minutes later to return it because i realized it was the wrong prescription I refilled. It was still in its box unopened and the employee just told me that they couldnt and that if I wanted to talk to the store manager that I would have to come after the weekend. I came on a friday and pretty much had to wait till Monday. I come in Monday to talk face to face with the manager and they still tell me that I have to come in Tuesday. I let them know the situation and I was told about their policy of "what's already left the pharmacy cannot be returned" - i completely understand this but I came only 10 minutes after with everything still sealed. The rep I talked to on Monday told me they could have taken it back n Friday but since the weekend passed, they have no idea what I could have done to the prescriptions and could not take it back. I was frustrated that I had to wait after the weekend to talk to a store manager about this and coming to find out they wouldnt accept it when I was told to wait till I could talk to a store manager. I was given the run about and was not a happy camper. They're also not very good about returning voicemails/phonecalls. I was in the drive through on another occasion and a lady was upset next to me that she got generics instead of preferred brand names and couldnt return the prescriptions when she was right outside the window in her car. She was fumed that she wasnt notified that they would default fill her prescriptions to generic and even asked the asian lady rep at the window if they notify patients about generics before filling them. The asian rep said that they didnt. I was actually upset about this because I didn;t think it was fair or right! Why would they NOT notify customers about filling their prescriptions generic?? I don't think the asian girl knew the policy because I came in a week later to get a prescription filled and was asked that if I was ok with a generic prescription. sighs...what a big mess. It used to be great but lately, they need to get their act together. Otherwise the store is great including the cleanliness, displays, and photo lab service (only complaint about them is that it's sometimes hard to track down where the lab specialist is all the time). read more

Two thumbs down for this pharmacy!! The Walgreens Pharmacy here is terrible. I came at 10:02 which yes, is after hours. However, when I knocked on the window a pharmacy worker came out. I said I needed to pick up medicine for a sinus infection and if she could help and she said no and closed the door. Clearly this Walgreens does not want you to "Be Well" unless it is within business hours. This pharmacy is not personable and has a high turnover with employees. Definitely switching pharmacies after being a loyal customer for two years due to this last visit and the many other inconveniences. read more

The male pharmacist at this location is incredibly rude and does not go out of his way to help the customers. In fact, it seems like a burden every time he has to do anything for a customer. The most important service a Pharmacy should tend to, is the patients needs. He fails 10 fold on this service. I stopped by here to get my RX on Friday 6/30/17 and he would not help me with my urgent situation. ** It is worth noting: I have been in the same situation with the female pharmacist at this location and she was very helpful with finding a solution. I give 1 star for the rest of the store, 0 stars for the pharmacy. I have been getting my meds here for 2 years and I am officially changing to CVS down the road. This is not the first time I have had an issue with this pharmacist. After reading other reviews I was hesitant but since I just moved to town and this was the closest location, I decided to try it. I requested a refill over the phone and came in the next day to pick up prescription. The pharmacist suggested that I may have requested a refill for the wrong medication and she was right. She was super polite and fixed my error quickly. I got my correct prescription within 5 minutes. Everyone was friendly and helpful. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would, the pharmacy is an absolute nightmare. The drive in line is super slow which made me have to go inside to drop off a prescription. The attendant told me it would be ready in 30 minutes. I came back an hour later to pick it up and she told me they had not even put it in the system yet. I came back 2 hours later and they said they couldn't find my insurance information (even with my card in her hand). They wanted me to pay out of pocket for the prescriptions. I asked them to transfer the prescription to a nearby CVS and which never did. It may be a good place to pick up over priced milk but as far as a pharmacy... Go somewhere else! read more

The pharmacist, (Cyprian), is a complete and utter disgrace. This is my THIRD unfortunate happening with this Washington D.C. native. He is the by far one of the rudest and cockiest people I have EVER met in the customer service industry. I understand that there are certain rules and or precautions to be taken, and there are ways that you can handle that in a kind, courteous manor. But when you just run up on your pharmacy tech and yank the phone from her as she is trying to explain to me why YOU WILL NOT fill my prescriptions, then start yapping your lips at me talking about how you are going to give me this hard time every month to fill my prescriptions, that's where I draw the line. I am not the only person in my household that uses Walgreens on a monthly basis and then some. But I can definitely tell you that all prescriptions and ANY other needs Walgreens use to provide for us, will now be taken elsewhere. Anything to not have to deal with that kind of customer service. I was going to this location because it is just right down the street from where I live, but after last night's and todays dealings with this "God's gift to pharmacists" attitude individual... I'd rather travel further or even pay more for better service. What's sad is that there are other people that have had issues with this person as well and have posted about it on various review sites and Walgreens still allows this person to remain a pharmacy manager. Thought you guys were better than that.. Guess not. I don't know how they do it up in D.C. or Maryland and maybe being up there too long may not have taught him anything as far as treating people go. Mixed reviews on this Walgreens due to the staff. There is a middle aged woman who is always very sweet and nice but my lower score review is due to the same girl who always has a puss face on and is never friendly or nice. This place is a hit or miss. The management should be aware of the girl with shoulder length blondish hair and glasses. She portrays an attitude as if she doesn't want to be there and as if the customer is inconveniencing her all the time. I have always had great service here by everyone else but seem to be having to interact with her a lot. She has welcome only sometimes when she is paying attention and when she does it is in poor tone. Then when ready at the register she seems to always be busy with something and makes you wait til she gives you eye contact or acknowledge you. She just gives a crappy feeling when you are there. I have wrote great reviews for this Walgreens before as the rest of the staff is awesome here. You nice she is gone I think this will go back to 5 stars. Hopefully management sees this. read more

They made me pay 10.99 for five pictures that weren't even that good. I had an old camera and wanted to try and take some pictures with it. I told them the roll may be crap and if it was to not worry about it (the girl even wrote that on my envelope). But instead, they said since it was "difficult" to develop they were charging me the FULL 10.99. Come to this Walgreens here, rude customer reps in the pharmacy...specially the ladies some people get a job or a position where the can decide for you and they feel like they can tell you what to do. I dealt with Walgreens until I came across this particular store, service is so bad it made me move my business of 10yrs to CVS( the lady in the pharmacy at Ella and 610 is the best).
