I was a customer at this Walgreens for three years, primarily because it was close by and I had not had any issues. Will change my pharmacy because of a recent incident (which is probably not exclusive to this particular Walgreens), they charged me for a prescription drug 6x of what it costs as an over the counter medication. I did not realize this at the moment and made the payment, and later when I called no later than 30 minutes, they refused to return or refund. The staff who gave me the medication was very brusque, and did not really explain why it was so expensive even when I asked her if this was after insurance. read more

I went in last week because I thought I might be coming down with the flu and needed to stock up on meds. One of the pharmacists, Dinh, took the time to give me her advice on what would work best for me. After finding out it was strep, I was back in a few days later to pick up some antibiotics and Dinh took my prescription and had it filled in less than 5 minutes. She was so warm and kind and you can tell she loves her job. I normally don't get my prescriptions filled here, but will do so from now on because of the above and beyond service. Usually they're pretty good, but within the last three months they've gone downhill. On a recent visit they got the wrong prescription and then tried to bill our account. When they said that the address didn't match they then offered "oh it must be wrong" and then blindly updated the address for the prescription. After receiving it, it wasn't the correct item - it turns out the assistant has overwritten the address of a different customer with a different last name. They didn't speak English well, so they didn't immediately understand the spelling. Then I needed to wait for them to fix up the address of the other customer back to what it was and finally I got my correct item. Just tonight my wife was promised that her prescription for acute back pain would be ready "within an hour" when she dropped off her script. About two hours I show up because she was couch bound and was told "it's not ready". When I ask when it will be ready they offered "we can say you're waiting and it'll then be about an hour." I said okay and left to have dinner. I returned after two hours and asked for it -- after waiting in line again for about 5 minutes -- and was told "it's not ready, we're still running it down." I then let the attendant know this was the third time we tried to get it they just said "we're just trying to be helpful." Some help. Then I waited around for about 10 more minutes and my wife messaged that it was ready from home, which surprised me because they had not announced it on the PA. Regardless I got in line and found it was ready -- finally! The one saving grace is the same attendant was still patient and when I asked if they were really swamped he shared that the entire staff had basically turned over in the last month. While I understand there are sometimes staff reshuffles, they really need to get their house in order; I'm halfway off to Bartell's. read more

I get my prescriptions refilled here. I've been using this Walgreens for about 4 years now. There's been some improvements in the quality of the service. In the past, you could wait forever to be acknowledged in the drive thru but now it's faster. There is a guy that works in the pharmacy, I think I remember his name as Todd, but he gives amazing customer service. He goes out of his way for me. He's had the unfortunate event of helping me with my meds when I was sick with bronchitis and grumpy but he handled that well (I wasn't nasty I was just grumpy). Prior to him, I've had slightly passable service. This Walgreens has problems communicating with my doc. There have been two instances where they needed to get into contact with my doctor's office and Walgreens folks say they've faxed my doc a request (one was actually because two of my meds could cause a conflict and they wanted to know if the doc was aware and do they really want me taking both... even though I've been taking both for over a year). My doc has said she doesn't get the requests. In the past, my doc has been efficient and reliable and so I can believe she's telling the truth. In both of those instances, I've had to call my doc and ask them to call Walgreens because of the communication issue. Walgreens as a company is fine. You can refill your prescriptions online. I wish the online prescription system was smarter because it'll suggest that I do mail order but then my insurance doesn't accept mail order so it causes the system to freak out and I called and days later my prescription isn't ready. It's annoying. The store has issues with proper labeling on the merchandising end (not on the safety end as far as I can see). For instance, yesterday I went to buy isopropyl alcohol and there were two different sizes of bottles. One was 12 oz and the other 32 but the 32 was less than the 12. I reviewed and saw hat the 12 was mislabeled as a different kind of isopropyl at the 32 oz size. There have been issues with mislabeling the pricing in the past as well. It seems there are some lazy associates and management isn't checking into these things. All in all, this Walgreens is just ok. I might have given it a 2 but Todd really upgraded my impression. read more

I will never do business with you again, or recommend your pharmacy services, and I'm sharing my experiences with everyone I know. Why? Last April and May I got my Covid vaccines from one of your stores. The second vaccine was never recorded in the state system, and you have refused to resubmit the information. Instead of fixing this problem, you've blamed everyone else. I don't care who's fault it is that the system glitched. All I care is that you could fix it, and you won't. Because of this, I can't correct my online medical record, which shows me as only partially vaccinated, and if I ever lose my paper vaccination card the only way I can replace it is by returning to you. read more

I love drugstores. They have the most random merchandise. I love to peruse the aisles. I've got the best fleece-lined leggings at Walgreens (not this particular site) and some other odd finds. I came here today specifically for gummy vitamins. They have the best selections of gummy vitamins. They had a sale going on, you know, buy one get one half off. I didn't get the half off product, but if you need to stock up... Friendly staff. Clean, organized store. Decent amount of parking out front. Now that I've moved this is the closest drugstore, so I'll be here more :) read more

The best. Seriously. I have lived in many cities around the country and this truly feels like "home." I have been coming to this store for five-years solely. Quick, knowledgable attention with the cashiers, photo and pharmacists prompt my returns. I tried the Walgreen's off 85th and they were so rude and inefficient. Not impressed. I made an appointment for my Covid bivalent booster 2 weeks ago. I received a reminder from them this morning at 4:16 am, the day before my appointment. Then this afternoon at 5 pm I received a call saying that they were sorry, but they double booked and they couldn't accommodate me and they said to call another specific Walgreens location for my Covid bivalent booster, because I would get an appointment faster. Except, the other location does not even have the Covid bivalent booster in stock. I assume, since I made my appointment 2 weeks ago, they should have known they were double booked for 2 weeks. How could they not know? Or even this morning when they sent out the reminder for my appointment. Instead, they cancel on me less than 24 hours from my appointment time. I had already made a bunch of other appointments (dental, optometrist) based on the timing of my Covid bivalent booster. So I had to scramble to find another appointment (which I did, but it is a lot farther away). I should have read these other reviews before even making an appointment here. read more

I live in Juanita village so this place is my go to if I don't want to get in the car and battle through lines at a grocery store. The place is clean, the staff is helpful, the selection is fantastic, and I use the pharmacy for both myself and any meds my dog's vet prescribes. They also have great deals and sales on vitamins and great post holiday sales. This place is one of the many reasons I love the ease and convenience of living in Juanita Village! read more

The pharmacy tech that helped me was super friendly and efficient, despite having many customers. The location looks fairly new and has lots of parking - beware there's a lot of traffic in and out of here with all the businesses in the plaza. I love the staff at the Juanita Walgreens! I have mostly interacted with the pharmacy department, but have been equally impressed by the store cashiers as well. I don't know the pharmacist's first name (I think it's Dinh), but she is amazing! She is a younger woman who is always so kind and helpful. The pharmacy staff makes it a point to fill your prescriptions quickly and to also ensure that you do not have any questions. I can't say this is true for all Walgreens, and the Juanita Bay store is above the rest with their level of customer service. Dinh (if that is her name) is an incredible pharmacist and Walgreens is lucky to have her. I mostly wrote this review because of the excellent service I have received time and time again from her. Conveniently located within walking distance from the Junita Village area and also it's like a mini Walmart. It has pretty much everything you need to get through the day except the only downer is that they're not open 24hrs. The workers are always friendly and helpful not to mention that they always have deals on something...you just have to look for them. read more

I don't come here too often as Bartells is 2 blocks from my house on the top of the hill. It gets 4 stars because it is so much better than the Rite Aid up the street and you can actually find a staff person here and they are helpful and know the store and products. read more

A week ago I called Walgreens in Juanita village to see if they had Coricidin Night Time liquid and Coricidin Day and Night. Lynn answered the phone and checked on the products for me. No liquid but yes to the Day and Night. Feeling really crummy from a cold I went there and picked up a Day and Night package. When I got home I opened the package and discovered it had expired in June 2014. I couldn't read the top of the package with the expiration date because it is embossed and was so faint I didn't even notice it was there. I called Lynn back and told her I wasn't a happy camper and what had happened. She asked me to hold while she checked the rest of the packages. Much to her surprise she discovered that all except one was expired! She asked "what can we do to make this up to you?" I (half way kidding) said bring me the one that isn't expired. Imagine my surprise when she said she'd be glad to and where did I live? About 10 - 15 minutes later Lynn arrived with a new package of Coricidin, a box of Puffs tissues (easier on the nose) and a bottle of orange juice. WOW was I impressed - Lynn at Walgreens - Juanita Village went way above and beyond what I would ever expect from a pharmacy! THANK YOU LYNN!!! Barb L. read more

Be very careful to check prices before going to Walgreens Pharmacy for your prescriptions...they charged me over double (a significant difference in terms of actual dollars) even with a prescription discount card; then they also refused to honor the $25 transfer offer on prescriptions, claiming that my insurance company (a mainstream one) uses the same numbers as the government and I need to get my Plan Administrator to change my ID number. Insult to injury: After going in personally to talk to a store manager, she neglected to follow-up. I called her after 5 days had passed and her solution: To offer me a Club Savings Card so I can continue to take advantage of their low pricing on other prescription drugs!!!! Maybe I can have the doctor write me a few gratuitous prescriptions so I can go back to the place that treated me so poorly and accused me of receiving government benefits as a way to deny me the use of their coupon!!!! read more
