Quality is what is to be expected at a Walgreens. Parking isn't great, but staff is okay. Some friendly, some not. What got them a one star: (a) I went to buy some freeze-off and they had the price marked as on sale, I think around 4 dollars off. So I get to the front of the line and it doesn't ring up as on sale. So I ask the guy, he makes me go get the on-sale tag (um, isn't that your job, there was no one in line behind me). So I go get it and bring it back. He informs me that the sale was a mistake and that it was clearly ended in April. At this point it is almost June! Refused to give me the sale price. You had it marked wrong, not me. and I'm sorry I couldn't read the fine print on a tag on the top shelf. If you didn't want people thinking it was on sale then take down the tag! (b) I went back yesterday. I needed to do laundry and it's sunday (so I can't get quarters from my bank). So I get cash back and ask nicely if I could possibly get any quarters. Now I understand if they can't for whatever reason, but no need to be rude about telling me no. I was just asking. Will go out of my way to go to safeway or target from now on. read more

Honestly I loved this Walgreens until today. I was looking at the nail and beauty products and the lady working there said, " Some kids like you open and steal packages". I was seriously waking around with a school backpack quietly and respectfully. I don't know if she thought I was like other kids at my school (a lot are very rich and snobby), but I felt victimized. She said that Walgreens is not a playhouse and that we should get out if we are not buying anything. This was about a minute after I entered the store. Disregard the one star above, this is a zero star rating for the pharmacy. There is never more than one clerk behind the counter and the line is always at least six people deep. My favorite is when you show up and there is a sign that says "closed for lunch." How does management allow the entire pharmacy to be closed during the lunch hour? This may truly be the worst retail establishment in America. Praying for Amazon to enter the mail order pharmacy business so I never have to set foot in this place again. read more

The pharmacist May gave me very detailed instructions on how to use an automatic blood pressure cuff. It should be wrapped not too tight and not too loose. The tube should come out in the center of the inside (crook) of the elbow, and in the direction of the hand. The left arm is preferred, because it is closer to the heart. I had thought that the blood pressure cuff I had bought was defective, but actually, it was a user problem. read more

I had to pick up the prescriptions for my aunt and uncle, who are out of town. Walgreens' pharmacy sent out email notifications that there was an issue with my uncle's medication. I called and spoke with the pharmacist, Lisa, who immediately took care of the issue. My uncle received the updates and told me that everything was okay for the pick up today. The tall, young lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful. It feel good when she called me, "Miss" two times instead of the dreaded "Ma'am." Overall, the pharmacy workers seemed nice and are helpful to each other. This was my second time coming here and I almost missed the storefront because the Walgreens' sign was green instead of the normal red color. Parking can be difficult at times. read more

This Walgreens pharmacy almost NEVER has my prescription ready. I am always told it is not ready and have to wait over 15 min each time and frequently tells me they only have the generic versions. I am seriously considering going back to CVS, I am tired of this! read more

Although I give the Walgreen's Menlo Park store very high marks for efficiency, cleanliness and product availability, the pharmacy is atrocious. Because I otherwise like shopping at Walgreen's, I've been going to the pharmacy for several and I can't tell you how many errors they have made filling my prescription with the wrong dosage, not charging me appropriately and then you have to wait in line to get the mistakes corrected. They won't even correct billing errors over the phone when they don't apply your prescriptions savings card appropriately in the store. I've never had any issues with their mail order service but I will never fill or refill a prescription at the Menlo Park store except in an emergency. Again, I don't blame the staff, they try to be pleasant and probably don't intend to keep making errors, but are massively overrun with customers. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever used. It's in a convenient location, and is close to my house, which is the ONLY reason I continue to get my prescriptions filled there. But the lines are consistently 8-15 people long. I usually have to wait a good 20 minutes in line before I get to pick up a prescription. I try to call ahead when there's any question about whether something has been filled. I'm on the phone right now and have been on hold for 25 minutes (which prompted me to write this review). They do get most medications, I think. If you have the time, call their customer service center and complain. Hopefully, with a little pressure they'll staff properly. read more

Walgreen's has cut its pharmacy staff making getting a prescription filled a long cumbersome process. The process needed 3 trips and 2 phone calls to complete. I had 2 coupons for expensive eye medications. On the first trip the clerk told me that they were not acceptable and I called the manufacture and MD to confirm that they were good as stated. The second trip the computers were down and no prescriptions could be processed. The third trip I waited over an hour for the only employee in the store to return from a break to key in the coupons. Then I got to wait in line again for 20 minutes to be helped at the pickup window. When I asked to speak to the manager the beleaguered clerk told me that all the managers were out at a meeting. Avoid this store if you can! read more

Could be the worst pharmacy in the US. Monumental lines, hold times forever on the phone, no parking, high prices, and they screw up prescriptions. After going here for 20 years I vow to never go again. read more

As someone who lives on Santa Cruz Avenue in Menlo Park, it makes all the sense in the world for me to frequent this Walgreens. I do not. Unfounately, they have an unfriendly staff and often always run out of prescription. What's more; they've handed my different brand names for then drug I'm prescribed without notifying me, which has caused serious health problems for me. I'll never step foot in this poorly-run joke of a pharamacy. read more

I've been going to this pharmacy for 15+ years. It's close to me, and while never incredible, it was serviceable. In the last few years it's gotten worse and worse, to the point that 25 minutes is a typical wait, and I've waited longer on regular occasion. About a month ago, while picking up my daughters prescription after a 35 minute wait, the person suggested I sign up for in store Express pickup. I agreed and she said she'd do it for that medication. A month goes by, I get a text for express pickup. I go into the "Express" line, but no checkout person comes. Finally after 20 minutes a checker leaves their regular line to come help me. I get the medicine, take it home, and it's an old prescription my daughter no longer takes. It is not open, still in its staples bag, but they will not take it back. Not only does that mean $40 copay down the drain, it also means insurance won't pay her correct prescription. Walgreens, you should be ashamed of yourselves. read more

Rating based on the pharmacy. Generally, I love Walgreens. I sorely miss the one on University Ave that burned down. However, this one sucks. I have yet to have a prescription be ready on time, even when that time is several hours, and even when that's three hours to throw a pack of birth control pills in a bag. Last time -- when they said it would be a half hour and I said I'd go to lunch and come back in two hours (thinking "Yeah, this time it'll be ready. I'm giving them extra time"), they re-shelved my prescription that they did fill (in the two hours that I was at lunch), and then I had to wait a half-hour again! They also love to only fill two of three prescriptions that were ordered online and have no clue about the other one (Me: "but they were all in the same order. You can't have only gotten two." Them: "I don't know. We only have two. We can fill the other one now if you want to wait an hour." Argh.) As for the other drugstore-y stuff, they're fine, it's just the pharmacy that bums me out. read more

Filled a prescription for three generic tablets of a medication that should have cost a few cents, but as it turns out Walgreens has a "minimum fee" per prescription of $12 (plus tax). And I didn't even get the brand name prescription. Complete rip-off. I will take my prescriptions henceforth take to different pharmacies. read more

Wait often very long for picking up drugs. If you bring in a prescription and want to wait for it I hope you enjoy hanging around drug stores. They give flu shots which is a good service. Seemed to make a lot of mistakes on completing multi prescription orders. Some of staff terrific but others new or poorly trained. read more

The service I get at the pharmacy is good, especially from the grey haired lady who is always polite and helpful. BUT the staff in the rest of the store leave much to be desired! They are so slow and unhelpful that I seldom buy anything unless I can buy it at the pharmacy counter when I pick up a prescription. However, I do wish people could use the pharmacy counter only when they are picking up prescriptions. read more

At least you can trust fedex when they send you to walgreens. Their photo kiosk works (and even though it doesn't work with usb they have a "download from mobile device" option where I always email photos to be sure I have them). There is a wait but 30 minutes is better than ever having to go into fedex kinkos again! read more
