I called in earlier in the day to acquire information regarding their passport photos. I asked 4 things: - if they were doing passport photos - how much were they - if I needed to make an appointment - how long it would take after the photo is taken that I can receive the pictures He stated they are taking passport photos, no appointment is needed, that he thinks it's $17.99 for 2 photos, and that it should take no longer than 10 minutes to produce the photos. I ended up stopping by there to do my photos and was told that it would take 30 minutes after I took the photo to receive them. Which I figured it would be longer than 10 minutes since they usually do photos in 1 hour. I went around Safeway and came back in 30 minutes. The lady helping me rang me up and I asked if I could use the promo code that I found on the website to save $2 on the passport photo. She told me I should have told her earlier because it needed to register on the kiosk. I said the code said specifically that it was in an store purchase. She had to re-register my photo with the kiosk and said it would take another 15 minutes now because it would need to register the code and make a new copy. The code did work on the kiosk but then when we clicked out, it was the exact same price. Per another customer, he said he was here earlier and that kiosk machine wasn't working either. I honestly did not want to wait another 15 minutes for 2 small photos especially since the price didn't even change. So I just ended up paying for the one already made and used my Walgreens rewards instead. It came out to be $15.99 prior to tax or using any rewards. Overall, I am glad she took a few photos and was able to show me what it looked like prior to printing ( I did have to ask to see them). However, I wish there was so more consistency in what you tell someone on the phone versus what you say in store. read more

I did an online order and I got a text that Pick up confirmed . Then I received a text letting me know my order is ready for pick up. Then I got another text let us know you're on your way and when you're here. So my husband went in showed him the confirmation and they said their computer is down. So he showed them the order on the phone and that it was paid. They didn't have it ready so he had to find the stuff and bring it up to them, then they said it was not paid for and made him pay for it. Went in to grab some ibuprofen and ask the pharmacist some questions. The pharmacist was informative and helpful. She told us exactly what we needed and assisted us with how to go about filling out a prescription. The store was full of people and as we were leaving the line seem to be growing. Worst Walgreens ever. Very unorganized and no communication with other shift employees. I ordered a framed canvas through photos yesterday and it said it would be done by 3:01pm. I went to Walgreens around 3:05pm-3:10pm and spoke with an employee she told me oh no one had worked on it yet so it's not done. She then told me I don't know why it would say it would be done by 3:01pm. I asked when it would be done and she told me tomorrow morning and that she also left a note saying that I would be there in the morning for the canvas. I go today around 10am-10:30am today to pick up my framed canvas thinking that it would be done. Spoke with a gentleman working in photos and he said let me run to the back and see if they are working on it. About 5 mins go by and he comes back out and says yeah unfortunately it's not done we don't have the materials to print your canvas and it won't be here until Monday. The gentleman then tells me it's been out I don't know why now called you yesterday when you placed the order to let you know. So I told him to just cancel my order very frustrating. Someone else picked up my in-store order at this Walgreens. I found out when I was at home and received an email alert stating my order was picked up. My fiance called the Walgreens and nobody picked up the phone. Had to call several times before someone answered. A person who said his name is Sergo answered and put her on hold to look for the order. He kept asking for the pick-up names and while waiting for him, the call got disconnected and we had to call back. Sergo answered the call and when my fiance inquired about the order again he said that the order is not there. She asked how could they give our paid order to someone else without properly verifying the order? Sergo said it seems like they gave the order to someone else and we would have to come in tomorrow to speak with a manager because there is no manager on duty right now. He was unwilling to help and didn't care that they let someone steal our order from the store by not following the proper store pick-up verification process. We had to call the corporate Walgreens number in the order pick-up email to complain and get a refund. read more

For those taking care of a homebound person, I want to share how Walgreens helped me, especially the clerks and managers who understand the needs of the homebound, take care of my parents with all of their health needs, especially when their own health care provider would not help In short, for dementia, they have "Brightstrong" and their own brand with Ginko Biloba and Choline. It is not a cure, but it helps, and be aware that dementia can be an influence on one's inability to walk or transfer. As my parents ability to do this declined, Walgreens had canes, walkers, wheelchairs and commodes that were very helpful. For skin cancer, "Skin Tag Oil", again, not a cure, and may not work for everyone, but it seemed to prevent my mom's skin cancer, which became an open wound about 1 inch in diameter, from getting worse and keeping a stasis. It may be that the ingredient "Thuja Occidentalis", from conifer oils, has an anti-cancer ability. With this, wound care with saline solution, sometimes Hydrogen Peroxide (which deeply cleanses, but if used too often prevents healthy skin from regrowing), and iodine solution, with rolled gauze used as a bandage and held with clear or cloth tape. If the wound is more serious, then use gauze pads or adhesive bandages (the Walgreens brand was very good in protecting the wound and yet gentle on the skin) For Incontinence, the 3 x 4 ft thick pads, which are washable, were helpful at night or for putting on the wheelchair as padding, and adult undergarments, be it Depends or the Walgreens brand, which worked well For bed sores, if it is minimal, Caladryl or the Walgreens brand works, and if it gets worse, and these can grow quickly from minor irritation to an open wound, then Caloseptine works very well, and if necessary, cover with a Adhesive Gauze bandage, the Walgreens brand was the best, and they have various sizes. For bowel movement issues, to keep things regular and avoid constipation or diarrhea, daily probiotic yogurt like Activa with a good fiber cereal like Grape Nuts tastes good and helps with regularity, and a spoonful of Metamucil with the yogurt ( try different amounts to find what works for that person) also helps a lot. For difficulty in urination, be it from prostate issues ( especially if the typical medication from doctors loses its ability to work, they say that the issue is that the prostate has grown with old age and limits the uretha, which is true, but there are natural remedies worth trying dealing with urinary tract and kidney infections that result). So, Saw Palmetto, try one per day and work up to two or maybe three, find out what works for the individual, more than three may be too strong, but Saw Palmetto, I found out, going back for a century, made from the Palm plant, has been used to decrease the prostate gland, regulating the change in hormones that has cause it's increase. Also, the difficulty in urination is not only because of the growth of the prostate gland, but also the resulting urine that sits in the gall bladder unable to expel totally, as when one was younger. So, to help with this, pure 100% cranberry juice, about 4 oz per day, and about 8 cups of purified water ( or at least 600 mls of water) per day help in this regard. Also, one or two garlic pills per day and perhaps one pill of tumeric, help with preventing bacterial infections in the urinary tract system. Again, thank you to Walgreens and all the staff who provide this service to those with health care problems, especially those who have no where else to turn. They are very lax in restocking some shelves. Some aisles look great, fully stocked and neat, where others have gaping holes where products should be. It appears very sloppy. This is a store that I have been going to for over 20 years and it has always been very dependable. It is needed in this neighborhood. It's a shame to see it mismanaged like this. When I asked for a Walgreen allergy product, she said they didn't carry it, until I asked her to reach for a box about 2 inches above her eye-level. This is my Walgreens of choice for playing the Walgreens Scavenger Hunt. Make a list of what to find (the key is nothing specific) and get a group of friends together and go! Past items have included: -Something hexagon shaped -Something past its expiration date -A product with a name of at least 5 letters that can be anagrammed -A product with a flightless bird -A product that says "Now with __% More!" but the number cannot be divisable by 2, 3 or 5. Also, Walgreens has good cheap toe socks. I notice that they're often striped and often in the loudest colors imaginable (like my chartreuse, purple, blue, bright orange ones). There was one prescription that required MD contact and I reached out to him for Walgreens so they did not have to do a thing. This is one of the worst Pharmacies on the planet. The chances of this pharmacy filling your prescription in a timely manner is between slim and none. The turnover of pharmacists is remarkable. Several of them have lied to me about having ordered medication when in fact they neglected to order medication. The pharmacy technicians are surly and rude. One (Carol) however, was truthful when she confided in me that, "The Pharmacist is new and he does not know what he is doing." Frankly, if I did not know better I truly would believe it was run by the 3 Stooges. I have complained to the District Manager- Dr Shutt but he has done nothing to remedy the situation.
