Trying to ask a question about my prescription. I have been on hold for 40 minutes!

For years my family and I have given this Walgreens the benefit of the doubt, it's the closest location to us. This place is absolutely horrendous. It is extremely unorganized. Don't bother running to pick up your prescription real quick, even calling with a quick question, it will take an hour MINIMUM. Staff constantly looks confused and gives off the impression you're wasting THEIR time. It's not one bad experience I've had here, it is every. single. time. I'm never coming back. This location needs to be shut down.

Zero stars, stopped in to return an item through http://babylist-store.loopreturns.com zero customer service, lady with a tattoo behind her ear was extremely rude and displayed zero customers service. Truly seem like she hated her job, or maybe just doesn't like to do returns. After leaving I seen that the QR code states I do not need to print my return label. The lady with the tattoo behind her ear was upset I didn't have a printed return label. She was upset lady and I will make sure to never return to this location again! I return stuff at whole food all the time and NEVER experience such a bad encounter. STAY AWAY FROM HERE.

UNACCEPTABLE COMMUNICATION & DENIAL OF PHARMACIST ACCESS…read more I attempted to reach a pharmacist via phone, but I was explicitly told by the front desk that the pharmacists "requested not to be forwarded calls anymore." My multiple voicemails, regarding my medication, went completely ignored. This is not just a customer service issue; it is a violation of California Code of Regulations (Title 16, § 1707.2), which mandates a pharmacist's duty to consult. By blocking phone access, this location is choosing convenience over patient safety and ethics. This pharmacy invites medical malpractice and professional misconduct claims. PATIENT RIGHTS: IF YOU HAVE BEEN IGNORED If you have been harmed by this pharmacy's lack of communication, know your rights under California law: THE 10-MINUTE RULE: A pharmacist must be available to speak to you within an average of 10 minutes. ONE-HOUR CALLBACK: If they cannot talk immediately, they must schedule a return call within one business hour. RIGHT TO CONSULT: Patients have an absolute right to an oral consultation "in all settings," including over the phone. If they fail to meet these standards, they can be reported to the California Board of Pharmacy. If their refusal to communicate leads to a medical error, you may be entitled to compensation for professional negligence. ---------- HOW TO FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH THE CALIFORNIA BOARD OF PHARMACY: It takes 3 minutes to hold this CVS legally accountable: Go to the the California Board of Pharmacy website at www.pharmacy.ca.gov Locate the Form: Click on "Consumers" and then select "File a Complaint". You can fill out the form online instantly. Provide the Details: Pharmacy Name: CVS Pharmacy #09689. Address: 950 W Foothill Blvd, Monrovia, CA 91016. The Violation: Specifically cite CCR § 1707.2 (Duty to Consult) and mention that your voicemails were not returned or front staff refused to connect you to a pharmacist. ------------ I have moved my prescriptions elsewhere. WHERE TO GO INSTEAD AMAZON PHARMACY: They offer free home delivery and an "RxPass" that is often cheaper than insurance copays. To switch, just hit "transfer" in their app. VONS PHARMACY (Monrovia): Located on Foothill. It is much quieter, and the pharmacists actually communicate with patients. PAVILIONS PHARMACY (Arcadia): Offers a professional, calm atmosphere with a focus on service. PAX PHARMACY (Duarte): They answer the phone immediately and often provide free local delivery because they value your business.

Please note: I've been a customer at this location since 2020 (photo evidence attached). However,…read moreI seldom write reviews. Good or bad. Over the years I've come to depend on the professionalism and care the staff provides at this location. True compassion amongst the entire staff and pharmacy. In the midst of the current Los Angeles labor strikes, I wanted to do my SMALL part in supporting our quaint township. Therefore, any positive review I provided this CVS would be incomplete without mentioning Darleen. Over the years, I've noticed the attentiveness and humanity she displays to customers...even under pressure. She is truly a pillar of our community and for that reason I say thanks! FIVE STARS

Horrible pharmacy. I always run into issues here with lack…read moreof service from the pharmacy. It's currently 2:10pm, they were supposed to be open at 2 o'clock yet they have the curtain shade down over the window so you can't even see inside or ask anyone for help in the drive-through pharmacy. There is a seven car line already built up as everyone has been here since before 2 PM waiting for the pharmacy to open back up after their late lunch. Currently have been waiting for over 10 minutes after their opening time with a screaming baby in the car. Not the first time with this issue, it's often. Truly terrible. Came back and the person at the window did not want to do his job or help at all. I think his name is Adan. He first said my prescription for a very generic, routine medication would be $183 because insurance won't cover it. That couldn't be possible so I questioned him. Turns out they didn't have my insurance on file, not sure why that wasn't mentioned first. So I gave the insurance card. Was told it was inactive, which also isn't possible because it is active and my husband used it for the same medication earlier in the week. He tried to turn me away or make me pay out of pocket. To which I said no, you need to contact the insurance and provide service. He said "you need to call", to which I very politely asked "isn't that your job?" I am a nurse myself, it is part of their job. If I go home and call and the come back, it's the same thing as my just telling them the insurance is active and them ignoring me. It's not the same as them calling insurance and verifying so they can render services. Which is what they are supposed to do. Anyways the worker told me to get out of line and get back into it again, wait through 8 cars of other people being serviced first, instead of finishing my transaction. I questioned this, so he finally agreed to have me pull over. After 8 ppl being serviced while I waited I walked up to the window where he told me he never called. The male pharmacist with glasses gave me the same runaround. I had to wait through 6 lines with a screaming baby to get help. I went inside, didn't tell them what was going on and just said trying to fill a prescription as a test. Finally Minlan provided incredible service, called the insurance without me even asking, and solved the whole issue in less than 5 mins. After my spending an hour there due to no other staff wanting to do their jobs. No one should have to wait in 6 lines, with a crying and screaming baby, being constantly shrugged off, while staff refuses do their jobs. I am transferring all my prescriptions to another pharmacy immediately. No wonder they have SO MANY people working inside, it's because no one is actually doing their jobs. This is the LAZIEST staff I have ever encountered in my lifetime. I plan on filing a complaint.

This CVS is in a quiet, well-kept suburb, not a dense urban area--and yet the restroom policy here…read moreis shockingly degrading. I was with my wife picking up prescription medication and politely asked to use the restroom. I was told the bathrooms were "out of service" and that customers should use porta-potties outside. When I went outside, the porta-potties were locked with padlocks. So paying customers are denied restroom access, redirected outside, and then left with no usable facilities at all. This goes beyond inconvenience. It may violate basic health, safety, or accessibility standards, particularly for elderly customers, people with disabilities, pregnant people, or anyone with a medical condition. This is a pharmacy, not a construction site. I understand concerns about misuse of restrooms. What I don't understand is stripping all customers of basic human dignity--especially in a suburban location where this level of restriction makes no sense. CVS corporate needs to address this location's policies immediately. If this is not company-wide policy, then local management needs correction. If it is corporate policy, CVS should publicly explain how this complies with health and accessibility expectations. Either way, this deserves a response. I will not return to this location.
