This is such a horrible Walgreens pharmacy. I miss the location in Arcadia! The staff there was always quick, sufficient, and knowledgeable. Monrovia is the complete opposite. There's a 7 million dollar law suit against Walgreens, and I'm sure if that wasn't happening the other two locations in Arcadia would still be open. read more

If you need medicine or any kind of prescriptions go to any other pharmacy literally any other pharmacy and any other nearby city except for this one because it is not worth your time. The people here are completely rude slow and drag their asses whenever you need something. This review is for the Photo Center. My fiancé and I decided to try Walgreens instead of CVS this time merely because we were emailed a coupon that was supposed to be 50% off $25 or more. When it came time to check out, the photo specialist didn't honor the coupon because she said it was only for online orders even though the coupon didn't specify that. Let me just add that we had high quality photos taken from a GoPro and a $4k Canon camera on our flash drive that normally print beautifully at CVS. This photo center however was AWFUL. Majority of our photos came out blurry or with TERRIBLE color distortion. What made matters worse was when we were reviewing them and letting the photo specialist know that we were unhappy with them, she didn't offer to do anything. I started going to this Walgreens after they closed another location in Arcadia. The pharmacy service here is horrible. Just to get a hold of them on the phone will take you over 20 min... and that's if they pick up the line for you. I've been left on hold multiple times, which makes it very inconvenient to refill my prescription. read more

The pharmacy is unbelievably slow. They make you wait for no reason at all. I went to the doctor today for a medical emergency. I explained it to them and told them I was in extreme pain. They proceeded to make me wait an extra 30 minutes despite finding the medicine immediately. I asked them for a rush order and they said it would be a few short minutes. My eye is bloodshot. I'm in obvious pain. I voiced my concerns. I cannot recommend this pharmacy. I suggest you go to CVS. read more

I love this pharmacy and I love the people working at the pharmacy. Every time I call I get immediate answers and my prescriptions are ready on time. They go the extra mile and contact my doctor if there's any questions or required refills. I'm not sure what the negative comments are about except maybe the people are having a bad day. read more

It's local. It's clean. It's convenient. Plenty of parking. Sometimes there are some nice deals out there (stuffed animals, snacks). I come here sometimes when I want a few prints developed as well, usually without a hitch [though sometimes you have to ask someone at the cashier's to page them to the department, which is a pain]. read more

Love Walgreen's but every time I come to this Walgreen's they never seem to honor coupons on their app. I've shown them the Walgreen's ad and they still give me hard time every time. I am not a couponer but if there's something in the weekly ad and it asks me to go onto the app to clip a digital coupon and I do all that I'd like them to honor it. The company advertises a sale and uses that to get me into the store. I don't have this issue at any other Walgreen's. They tell me they have no control over the coupons. Now my review is meant to garner attention. This Walgreen does not open early enough. The other pharmacies in the region (CVS/Riteaid) all open earlier. 8am though sounds early is tough if you want to get in before your workday. This Walgreens is my go-to store for all medical needs. The pharmacists are sharp and personable, and they always get your order right. Andy and Maureen are as nice and helpful as can be. And they work extra hard to make sure any insurance hiccups are kept to a minimum. The rest of the store is just as good. They often have "managers specials" on products I buy often which really helps my budget. A woman here named Tiffany really seems to have things together. If she's not the manager, she should be. My only complaint is the photo department. The use a dry-process machine which makes prints not the sharpest. They told me to go to another Walgreens on Foothill which has better equipment, so I take all my photo orders there. read more

The pharmacy here really went above and beyond to help me out. I came in with a prescription that my insurance didn't cover and would cost about $200 out of pocket. The pharmacist there (his name is Rob) was really friendly and offered to call my doctor to see if there were any alternate medications I could take. A few days later, I received a text alert letting me know my prescription was ready to be picked up. It turns out someone (I'm assuming Rob) had found a coupon program that brought my costs down to $35. I had already tried a couple other pharmacies before this one--so glad I stopped by! read more

This store deserves a 0 dot if it can be done especially its pharmacy dept. On 10/12/20 at approximately 10 a.m, my ophthalmologist's office called in for a prescription for eyedrops and spoke to a pharmacist. The pharmacist took the prescription by phone, set it aside and did nothing with it. I waited until 3 p.m of 10/14/20 and did not hear from this Walgreens. No one contacted me by phone or by text. I contacted the district manager who called the pharmacy of this store and spoke to the pharmacist who took the prescription when my doctor's office phoned in. I was told that he forgot and did not fill the prescription. Hence, I was not contacted. This pharmacist was not newly licensed but a seasoned one. He ignored my prescription for 53 hours until his district manager called him to follow up on the prescription. Had I not called the disctrict manager, my prescription would still be sitting there. Failure to timely fill a prescription is neither professional nor acceptable in my opinion. If I didn't need it, I would have filled it at my mail order pharmacy. read more

The manager here named a Tina Marie is very rude and unprofessional. She would not return a returnable item because "it was sold at a different Walgreens." I politely pulled up the return policy and showed her items could be returned to any Walgreens. She the very shorty said you know what I'm not going to return the item and that is company policy, and if you don't leave I'm going to call the police." I was in shock because the entire time I had not been rude, disruptive and I was very polite. I shop at this Walgreens all the time and never been treated so disrespectfully as with this woman. I could not find the person I was with so I walked back into the store to look for my brother, and she then rudely started threatening that if I did not leave immediately she was calling the police right then when I asked why she said because I was disrupting the customers when the entire time she was yelling and being very rude about the whole situation and had the entire store staring. Is not the first time and event like this is happened. I have seen her give many different stores a hard time and asked to leave the store and threatened to call the police. Honestly she needs to be fired as manager, this is getting ridiculous and she could hardly be over 21. read more

Hope you're not in search of good customer service here. My friend and I were in town attending the Breeders' Cup at Santa Anita and we needed a few items so we thought we'd run in this store. When we found what we needed we approached the checkout counter to pay. The cashier was so busy chatting to another customer at a different register (about hair color) she barely acknowledged our presence. She rang up my items and then left them on the counter. When I asked for a bag she said in a snotty voice that they cost ten cents. I handed her a dime and she put it in the register without handing me a bag. I had to get it myself and put my items in it. When my friend paid for his items and ended the transaction he told the cashier thank you. No response. I realize these are young people working for low wages, but it costs nothing to be polite. I have worked in retail pharmacy for 25 years and always make it a point to hand customers their bags and say THANK YOU. Is that so hard? Won't be back to this store. read more
