I never use the pharmacy here but because it's 24 hours and close to PAMF, I had to come here in order to gets my meds today. But the service was bad. They gave me the run around and everyone seemed to hand me over to the next person. Hope I never have to fill my Rx here again! read more

Their pharmacy is horrible. If I can give negative stars I would. Went there one evening to get my prescription and the line was so long. They seemed pretty disorganized and inefficient. Each person they served took like 20 minutes. Finally when it was my turn they told me it would be ready in 20 minutes. I just went home and my prescription was not ready until the next morning. Good thing I didn't wait. Don't even bother calling. I tried to call the next day to transfer my prescription to a Walgreens closer to my home but was on hold for over 30 minutes. They would pick up and put me back on hold again. I mean why even have that option to talk to a pharmacist when they don't plan on talking to you anyways. read more

This pharmacy is unorganized. Prescription is never ready . I fill for my elderly mom and she has to wait in car for an hour while I am inside trying to pick up her prescriptions. It takes them forever. Shop at Walgreens on escuela road. It's way better and has drive thru as well. read more

I was told at 5:45 my medication would be ready in 1 hour - I get here at 7:45 & i have to wait in line - plus an additional 5 minutes at the register to be told it won't be ready for another 10 minutes. I get out of line to get a text message 5 minutes later that it was ready to pick up. Then I have to wait in a long line again. Worst pharmacy ever. Some of the staff are highly unprofessional and rude. All sorts of people in line were appalled by their behavior -- a guy with an infant in his arms was made to wait an extra thirty minutes because the infant lacked an ID card; a middle-aged mom and her teenage daughter were made to wait an extra hour because the pharmacy ignored the doctor-phoned script; an 80 year old man was told he could not have his script because the doctor used a form that they no longer would accept; and on and on. An employee even called the police because she did not like that a customer video-ed an exchange between the pharmacist and a customer. The police came and explained to the employee that it is a free country and that both the store and the customers could video what happens in a public space. If you can get to the nearby CVS -- please do and save yourself from a crazy and lengthy experience! read more

It's Walgreens..so it's always gonna be a mixed bag. I am here a lot for the pharmacy and have had more than a few emergencies where I needed their help. First off, the night pharmacy manager is awesome. He went above and beyond to help us out on more than one occasion. And most of the rest of the pharmacy folks are nice enough....but their "system" leaves a lot to be desired. It's really screwed up when the drop off window closes and it's busy. It's just ridiculous to have to wait in that long line TWICE. But here's the real reason I was inspired to write this: Chris, at the photo counter. Dude, I get that you hate your job. I do. I worked in retail for years. It's not always easy to put on a smiling face and for me, that's not even necessary. But, damn - can you make 1/2 an effort to communicate? Something more than mumbling and pointing would be awesome. I mean, I know you are a Certified Photo Specialist and all but the attitude is just a bit much. read more

1.) They always have a long line, 2.) it takes about 2 hrs to pick up a rx that is ready for pick up. They always have aides but the lines gets long. 3.) The pharmacist are always rude esp when I have a written pain med to be dropped off, or call about. 4.) they look or talk down on you Like u are some junkie or a homeless person which I am not. 5.) they are especially rude on the phone, when they answer, they say "pharmacy, pls hold" and bang!!! the phone on ur ear "ouch" with music on hold. When the music stops, the phone rings again and when the phone gets picked up, u give a sigh of relief only to hear the music on hold once again. These and more are the reasons I believe the most upsetting that they 'always' do to me. For 15 yrs, and I am still with them? They are 3 blocks away but as soon as we move, I pray I don't have to use them anymore. I have not tried other pharmacies yet, maybe they may even be worse that is why people still go there or it may be bec of the other items they sell and they are open 24hrs (this particular one) or the rewards which my boys enjoy, they get free stuff. But is it worth stressing over this? They offend me, hurt my feelings. could not help but ask my husband or son to pick up my medications. I get offended by them all the time over the phone, what more in person? They should have a more people person or pharmacist with more people skills. To think they are professionals is so disappointing. I have been going here for maybe over 15 yrs. I tried calling at a diff time and find the evening pharmacist is very kind and polite. It is someone like her that they should have during the day. For me, you need to be kind and polite to ur customers, they sell medicines so it is expected to be dealing with sick people, people in pain, maybe terminally ill patients. Is this how sick people should be treated? I learned my lesson not to call during the day, but today, for some reason I forgot abt it. My medications are always approved by my insurance, my whole family have the same insurance for over 10 yrs, my medications were always approved by them. The rude pharmacist that took my call today told me they have not ran the medication through my insurance and since I want to pick up today, I will need to pay the cash price. If i am trying to get it now as in now, that's the price I have to pay. The Walgreens app has told me it is ready for pick up but the price is way over the deductible price of $10 for a generic medication. The app is not reliable too, it will say it will be ready, it does not say that you have picked ur last med on this day so ur next refill will be 30 days after ur last refill. What if you have close to 10 medications? These are important dates that the app should provide us. If any Walgreens executives would like to know who I am referring to, they can message me. Is there a shortage of pharmacist now that they cannot get one with right bedside manners? Or give them training on this matter. Every patient calling to check on their medications also have the right to be treated with respect and dignity. read more

This place has gotten so bad that I'm going back to CVS - W being open 24 hours just isn't worth it. They are always crowded at the pharmacy window., sometimes having an hour wait to pick up. Their "Express" system is a bad joke - they require you to use a phone app the doesn't work on my Galaxy android. They are under staffed, so trying to call on the phone doesn't work. They transfer calls from the store to a corporate call center, and the people there always end up transferring me back the Mtn View. They have taken up to 3 weeks to fill subscriptions for popular kids ADHD medications. The only way a pharmacy could be worse is if they were putting cyanide in the pills. I do not even have the words to describe how much I absolutely LOATHE this Walgreens pharmacy*, because, and I need to be brutally honest here, every single person I've interacted with in the pharmacy is AN INCOMPETENT IDIOT. Why should you read/believe my critique of the problematic, frustrating, & infuriating service provided at this pharmacy? Well, here's some background about me: 1) I worked for the UCSF School of Medicine (one of the top 10 medical schools in the country) running the patient care course for 5 years before becoming a PhD student at UCSF studying the production of healthcare professionals via health professions education (including pharmacy); 2) I'm very proactive about researching my conditions & medications using resources intended for professional HCP use (i.e., UpToDate, etc.), so I am a very well informed patient with a significant clinical lexicon; and 3) Not only do I have the educational chops, I also personally have a *LOT* of chronic illnesses/disabilities for being a 36 year old person -- and have managed them for a long enough time that I know EXACTLY what/when/how I need my medications and refuse to take any guff about it. So, point being, I know how things SHOULD be done!! I admit I got spoiled by my EXCELLENT Walgreens pharmacists in San Francisco (Diamond Heights -- Jen & Brian are completely made of WIN) before I moved down to the South Bay, but I'm still SHOCKED and APPALLED by how COMPLETELY EFFING TERRIBLE this pharmacy is every time I come here. My experiences have included: Prescriptions that are never ready at the time they are supposed to be; usually a long line & an even longer wait for them to get my scrips ready (despite being the largest -- and therefore assumably the most well-staffed -- location in the chain down here); staff that are RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL, or simply seem to just have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what they are doing; some member of staff who changed my account name, striking my preferred name that I have gone by for over 12 years from my record without even mentioning it or asking me about it (I originally included both my preferred name & legal name on my account to avoid confusion; it was this way for YEARS in SF but got changed without my permission in under 3 months down here); staff on all levels (from pharmacist to tech) who were completely unhelpful when I had a particular question or need; and watching every single encounter (not just my own) take a painfully longer amount of time than it should. ALSO: How is it they allow one of their techs (who is the ONLY person I've seen working the pickup counter in the 1.5 hours I've been here) to be chewing gum like a cow with her mouth open? Isn't that like Customer Service 101??? I know there's more that I could probably write about, but I've been waiting for my meds for so long here today that I have low blood sugar & that is making me super spacey. __________________ * So if I hate it so much, I bet you are wondering why I keep coming back. Well, 1) as the 24 hour Walgreens, they are the only pharmacy in the chain that is likely to have all the medications I need to get in stock; 2) I'm on so many meds that trying to change pharmacies is ridiculously annoying because they don't have my meds history & think I'm trying to scam them or something; and 3) This location has a large parking lot & is easily accessible for a person with disabilities, which is not true of other locations. read more

The pharmacist told me that they claim to route the phone calls but actually don't send any through to the pharmacy because they don't want to hire more people to work in the pharmacy to take the calls. I had to go to this 24 hour pharmacy because my daughter was prescribed pain meds at Stanford about 9:40 on a Sunday night. The line was as long as the photos, moved incredibly slowly and the clerks were rude. The whole process took over 1 1/2 hours. I would never come unless there was no other choice. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. My experience with this store was horrible, as was many others on the same day. I went in on 6/11/2022 at 8:20ish PM to fill my consumers new prescription for antibiotics. They told me they could have it ready for me by the time they closed at 9pm. When I returned at 8:45pm, there was a rude man (Isaac) that later identified himself as the store manager, telling everybody in line that "we couldn't pick up our medications because he was about to close the pharmacy." Everyone else in line & myself were complaining about the same thing. They were also told to return before 9pm for their medications. Isaac then stated to other customers that "he didn't care, but nobody was going to pick up their medications because they were understaffed and he needed to close the pharmacy!" At this point, everyone was upset and he just proceeded to close the pharmacy. I was able to get my consumers medication only because I went to the consultation window and told the pharmacist that she had instructed me to return before 9pm and she recognized me, so she hurried to give me the prescription. I am upset that a pharmacy could deny peoples prescriptions after they were told to come back for their prescriptions. I am also upset about the managers response to all the customers waiting in line before the pharmacies closing hour. I will never go back to that store for ANYTHING! This is all without mentioning the inefficient communication between the pharmacist and her cashier employee. That employee, which I didn't get her name, was rude and seemed to not know what she was doing. So that prolonged the short time I had, even more, before closing hours. After waiting in the line for 20 minutes, they tell me my prescription has not arrived from the doctor. We waited for another 30 minutes and inquired again, when they told us they got it and they are working on it. Cue 15 mins later, they tell me they only have 5000 IU and not 50000 IU like the doctor prescribed. Alright, we asked them if they could find us any other Walgreens which might have the medication. The woman told us she was busy(!), so we asked her very politely, when we can know about the availability. It was 9:00 in the night by then, and she curtly tells me she doesn't know :( At this point, I got fedup and left the store. There was one woman who tried to find out at one Walgreens, and told it was not there. The other one did not even check. So we waited for 1:30 hours to not get the medication, and not knowing where it is coming from. In the time of instant emails, messages and photos the prescription takes 40 min to come from a hospital down the street. It looks very poor on someone's behalf professionally, if it takes 15 mins to discover it was 50000 IU and not 5000 IU. I would be ashamed of it if I made a similar mistake in something I do for a living. Finally, they don't even have courtesy to check. I am not going here ever again! read more

I went to urgent care and was diagnosed with a UTI. I was in pain, and so I had them send my prescription to this Walgreens, because it's open 24 hours. I went to the store, and there was a line of about 25 people, at 10pm. It was chaos. Once I got to the counter, I was given an eye roll and attitude when I asked if my prescription had come through. She told me it hasn't and then smugly informed me that even if it did, it could be an hour for them to fill it. I went home, and tried calling an hour later, to see if they had gotten it. I sat on the phone for half an hour waiting. I am convinced they don't answer their phones. If I had wanted to wait until the next day, I would have had the doctor's office call it into my regular pharmacy, CVS. If you are looking for compassionate customer service, or expedite prescription filling, don't come here. I know I never will again. read more

By far the worst pharmacy on the planet Earth. No matter when you go, there is always an outrageously long line at the pharmacy, mostly due to being grossly understaffed. Too bad I can't give 0 stars to this pathetic store. "Critical B" is spot on in his review, especially the 1st line about management not caring. To make a long story short, here are the facts: I walked into this store & there was an employee standing nearby, working on something. When she saw me she stopped her work & just stood there glaring at me. I walked on pretending not to see her but she kept glaring at me until I went to another aisle. I couldn't find what I was looking for & had no choice but to ask her since I couldn't find any other employee to ask. She told me the location, but as I was walking away SHE CALLED ME A BITCH. I sent a complaint to the store manager & to Walgreens HQ but did not receive any response from anyone, not even a robocall or form letter. Obviously they don't care about anyone but themselves.
