Seriously why can't the Orange location be like this?!! My mom is already a Walgreen's customer and has a special pharmacy that delivers her medications but sometimes the doctors will send her with a hard copy prescription that needs to be filled at a different location, we've had such bad luck at the Chapman location, they don't know how to bill her insurance and always charge her co-pays for no reason when she's not supposed to even have them. She recently just had a cataract removed a few days ago and her doctor prescribed her some eye drops, I refused to go back to the Orange location I knew there had to be a Walgreens around his office and yelped around the area and bingo! This one popped up immediately! Her appointment was so early that the store wasn't even open yet so we waited in the car and right on time at 8AM the doors opened, I walked to the pharmacy and had no problems getting her prescription filled at ALL! 15 minutes later I was out the door with her meds and back in the car! This is what I'm talking about! No issues, no frustration at all! The Chapman location needs to take some pointers! From now on this is my go to Walgreens!! ^_^ read more

Wow, talk about an inconvenience store. This place totally struck out for me. 1. The sales prices advertised were NOT posted on the shelves. There is nothing more irritating then having to refer to the paper advertisement and try to figure out which items are on sale. 2. Making things even more annoying thier advertisement is layed out such that similar items are not on the same page. Not only do I have to find the prices in this dully-printed thing (which always look like they either ran out of ink or are using the cheapest ink in existence) because the prices are not on the shelves, but I have to flip back and forth between several pages just to compare prices on a few brands for the same items. 3. They didn't have several items they advertised even in stock (the items I went there for in the first place, of course). Yes, they were great deals, but Rite Aid across the street never has that problem! 3 strikes = Walgreens FAIL. If I wasn't trapped into going back by those register rewards I would probably avoid this place from now on. read more

It's also a great place to meet people for Craigslist stuff because it is always open and it's a high traffic public place, so no one will get 'crazy' on you. read more

Another of the few stores that take a tax exemption certificate and it is a laborious process where the manager has to be called to help the cashier ring it up properly. I'm gonna miss this place.. .the downright, plain and clear convenience of a convenience store. Sure the prices aren't the best.. but they are the best at 11PM-6AM... and that's the fact. the people here are actually somewhat helpful.. the selection is good enough to take care of the immediate business, but the prices are just high enough to not be gouging, but yet a reminder that if you plan ahead just a little bit, you can save a decent chunk of money elsewhere. read more

Review of pharmacy: My husband went from work to the ER to the couch after a bad injury. After I got off work I went to this Walgreens because it is the closest I know with a 24 hour pharmacy and he had a bunch of scripts to fill. They were quick, courteous and helpful. For this 5 stars. They did not have one of the meds so they sent me to another Walgreens. When I was getting the consultation on when the drugs should be taken when and whatnot, the pharmacist told me in his thick Asian accent, "This is Vicodin. He should take 1 or 2 every 4 hours for pain. You take this (pointing to me), you drive, you get DUI!" He said this with humor, and I got a kick out of it. Stupid, but funny. Will be back for refills, even if I didn't have to. read more

Ive been to the pharmacy here way too often bc it is 24hour and I work nearby. You can never count on them actually filling a prescription you call in. You can never count on them calling your name when they do fill the prescription you were told to wait on. And its super slow. So its about as inconvenient as possible and will eat hours of your time, unless you are a jerk and bug them periodically until they come up with the scrip while an entire line of people just stares hating at you. I used to think all Walgreens were 24 hours because of this store (this was the first Walgreens I ever went to) They were open on Christmas Day when I wanted to buy some two-liter bottles of soda! Sometimes lines form up, but the cosmetics and photo registers usually open up in time. I never had problems with the pharmacy when I used to go there. I did my refills online and I would pick them up when I knew there wouldn't be much of a line. Yeah, you get interesting people there shopping for socks and nylons at 2 in the morning, but I try not to go there at those hours. read more

I know this is the only 24 hour pharmacy in the area, but I would recommend avoiding this place if at all possible. I've tried coming here three times, and all three times it has been a monumental waste of my time. The main problem is the terrible service. Tonight around 9:30, the line for pick-ups was 13 customers deep (and nearly as long for drop-offs), and I waited over 20 minutes. When I got to the front, I found that one of my prescriptions was not ready, though I had called 1.5 hours before and the staff member said it would be ready in 1. My other prescription had not been transferred from another pharmacy as promised and no one had bothered to call and let me know. So not only was I not able to get my much needed medication, I drove nearly an hour round trip and waited in line for 20 minutes for no reason. I get to keep sneezing tonight... read more

I am visiting from out of state and forgot one of my medications at home. Since Walgreens is my usual pharmacy I called this location...they advised me to check with my insurance company to make sure that my (otherwise very expensive) medication was covered under lost medication or vacation exception benefits. I did just that and it was. I called back and spoke to the same person to let him know...he had it filled and ready for me in less than an hour and called me directly to let me know it was ready. How refreshing to deal with someone who knew what they were talking about and was able to guide me accordingly. I'm only sorry I did not ask their name so I could shout them out directly. This location answered their phone promptly when I called and helped me quickly when I arrived in person to pick up the medication. It seems to be a hard time for pharmacies across the country, and I sympathize and know they are doing the best they can. That said, what a breath of fresh air to visit a location that provides such great customer service and seems to be run very efficiently. Thank you! read more

He declined to print a duplicate receipt and told me that he would only give me store credit. When I agreed to it, he told me that he would only refund half of the price as the item was not Walgreens brand. The next day I bought a flashlight. Once I made the payment, I realized that the flashlight was not working. A clerk at the counter told me to replace it with the other one. Okay first let me start with this is the third time I come here for picture prints. The first time I came was for holiday pictures. They didn't give me envelopes so I had to purchase separately. Second time I came was for more holiday prints they did have envelopes but charged me a different price than the app said. Today was the last straw. The concept of walgreen pictures is great but unfortunately there have been too many inconsistencies. I came to print out my god daughters 15th bday pictures. I put in two orders because there were several pictures. When I came to pick up there was 3 different charges (they separated my orders and charged me more. I had used a coupon that gave me 50% off and I didn't see it in the order although the worker said the discount appeared. There was a discount but not a 50% like I originally selected. Workers are just doing their jobs and it's not their fault. But Walgreens upper management or whoever runs the picture department needs to honor their prices that they quote and stop separating orders! Beyond frustrated! read more

Terrible service!!!! Not only did I wait a week for my RX to come in I was given the wrong medicine and not to mention the horrible service I received from the staff. After waiting 10 minutes in the drive tru when they had no one in line I rang them for assistance and the pharmacist told me I had to wait beacuse it was a holiday weekend and they were busy not to mention I had 3 cars waiting behind me. Clean store and friendly service the employees are always there to help. The store manager runs a tight ship so if they don't carry a product talk to her and she will get it in for you. The ladies that work in the beauty department Michelle and Diana are always helpful and they have extra manufacter coupons under the counter for beauty related merchandise just ask for a coupon. read more

As another reviewer stated, if I could give this place negative stars, I would. The people who work here are straight up RUDE. I don't buy the excuses posted by another reviewer (who supposedly works there) because I have been to other phenomenal pharmacies like Target pharmacy where my prescriptions are always filled promptly and I'm treated with common courtesy. There is absolutely no excuse for horrible customer service and not having medicines ready quickly. Other pharmacies can do it, so Walgreens, quit making excuses! I have been to this pharmacy on numerous occasions and now I avoid it like the plague. I take my prescriptions to Target pharmacy. I got sick of waiting in line for prescriptions that I'd called in well in advance. Also, once when I was there they told me they would call my name when my prescription was ready and they didn't. I heard someone else asking if their name would be called and I told them that it wouldn't - I didn't want them to waste their time waiting! I think this may be a ploy by Walgreens to get you to spend more time in their store, but who can say. Anyways, take your prescriptions anywhere else - this Walgreens is 100% awful. read more

As far as drug stores go, this should be standard that all others try to match. The store is clean, organized, and always stocked neatly. Most of the employees are friendly and helpful. The pharmacy has a convenient drive through which is seldom used by customers. Although there is a CVS across the street, this should be your first option. read more

My boyfriend is sick as a dog with pneumonia. His prescription was sent to the pharmacy on Saturday but they took so long to notify us that it was filled that we went home so he could lay down for a bit and finally get some much needed rest. We realized too late that the pharmacy had closed so we had to wait for morning. After a virtually sleepless night of coughing and hacking we get ready to go to the pharmacy and again receive notification that the prescription is ready. So we head over and are told that we can't pick up said medication because there is not attending pharmacist!!! What sweet hell is this that a pharmacy is open and notifying patients that their prescriptions are ready and they arrive and can't pick them up??!! On the way out I ask what the hell is going on "Oh sorry our pharmacist called out." You should have 2 pharmacists scheduled then. Sorry's are shit, they don't help anyone, especially sick people. This is my favorite Walgreens for one reason. Lube. Yes this Walgreens stocks a great supply of lubricants. They are the only store in the area selling ID brand lube. ID and ID Pleasure are found in various sizes, including the big pump size. The store is also very large in size and has all the goods you never even knew you needed. read more

So I'm torn, the Walgreens is average. However, I came here for the pharmacy since Palo Alto Med Group down the street recommended them...plus, I guess they are the only 24 hour pharmacy in the area. Well, the pharmacy didn't receive my prescription because their fax machine wasn't working. Usually in this situation, the pharmacist will call the doc's office to clear things up. However, they were no help, I had to call the doc and ask when they sent the prescription. Terrible customer service Walgreens. My son, who was in the hospital, needed some meds after his blood platelets were falling. It was quicker for me to pick them up than send a courier over. The drug wasn't covered by my insurance, so I ended up paying $159 for medicine to treat my son's malaria. Three days later, my son and I visited the doctor after his release. The doctor asked, 'Why do you have so many pills left? Have you been taking them?' It turns out Walgreens misread the prescription and put too many pills in the order--which they charged me for. I returned to Walgreens to get some new meds and explained the problem. They admitted they made a mistake and that they owed me $60 but said I would have to go home to get my receipt to get the refund. 'You made the mistake, and you know I paid via credit card.' 'No I can't give you a refund without the receipt.' they replied. After a heated discussion with the manager they gave me my money back.' Nothing special, nothing awful. It is your fairly typical Walgreens. I've used mostly their photo department and have no major complaints about it. The only issue I have is trying to get customer service at the photo station. The cashiers who aren't doing anything will see you there but not call anyone. I also had to wait several hours for passport photos. Other then that this place is ok. read more

This review is for the cosmetics/skincare section, which has more brands than any other Walgreens I've been to from SF to SJ. Ladies with ethnic skin and hair, this place is for you. This is the "select" Walgreens that's mentioned in Cover Girl ads for carrying Queen Cover Girl (a line designed for women of color). Also, skin treatment brands and products that aren't carried at other drug stores like those for discoloration, spots, quick fixes (acne, puffiness, stetch marks) and etc... were well displayed. If you've got a skin issue, they've probably got a product to try. read more

I have been getting prescriptions refilled there for 15 years and over the past few years the reliability of auto refills has become problematical at best and the phone is system is terrible. The only saving grace for the place is it has a drive thru and the CVS across the street doesn't. read more

This place gets one star just so I can post a review. If I could give negative stars I would. Last night we went here to pick up my prescription from the pharmacy. Only to be told that they received it not so long ago and we would have to wait for another hour to get it (which is the most ridiculous thing I've heard ever). When we called an hour later, it was pushed forth by another 30-40 min. Upon reaching the parmacy, we spent 40 min more till we finally got the medicines in hand. 2-3 hours to get simple medicine. I shudder to think what if some one needs medicines in an emergency. And mine is not the only case. There were couple other people standing there who said they'd been waiting for over 2 hours. such a delay to get any medicine is simply unacceptable. They really need to add staff to the palce to make it efficient, but I guess cost-cutting rules Whatever happens, this place won't get my business again that's for sure!! read more

I go to this Walgreens because it's so close to my home. Yesterday at 5:30 p.m. there were at least 20 people in line for the pharmacy. Service is generally poor, with the exception of Karen, who is always there when I go in to check me out and is very kind and friendly. Yesterday there was a long line and Karen called three times for help; by the time I left there still was no one else who came and opened a second register. I did get alot of good deals, but there was an error on my register receipt (a sale item that didn't ring up) so I have to go back today. Drive a couple of miles down the road to the newer Walgreen's in Sunnyvale next to PetSmart for much better service and a much cleaner and organized store. read more

Their pharmacy is the worst!!! I had just had surgery and was in MAJOR pain, but old Walgreen's had ONE PERSON WORKING!!! Went to Jamba Juice to grab a smoothie over at Miramonte Plaza and when I returned, the prescription was still not ready. Two stars for eventually getting my meds and me getting back into shape.
