Terrible customer service. If you call you are on hold forever and if you go in they are nowhere to be found.

This pharmacy is beyond ridiculous. Ive been on hold for at least 20 mins and haven't spoken to anyone yet. It sounds like they pick up and put me back on hold without saying anything. Wish I could give it negative stars. I need a simple RX refill. Given the reviews I've already seen I guess there's no point in complaining to the manager. Apparently they're useless. The slowest pharmacy in the world. It takes forever to pick up prescriptions. Techs go back and forth between cash register trying to ring up one prescription. It seems there is multiple layers of complexity for pharmacy techs to ring up medications. Came here instead of CVS, because of long lines. Now it seems CVS is pretty quick and Walgreens is painfully slow. read more

My new favorite!!! Stopped by for some last minute gifts. Noticed It is a nice clean store, they have a huge selection of stuff that Amazon has "and maybe cheaper". They usually have the prescriptions you need available which is a plus...BUT they only have one line for pick up and drop off services which is very inefficient for time management purposes. It could be fast it could be slow you never know. Same goes with their phone line, Ive spent over 40 minutes on hold before. read more

I walked into this store Thursday at 3:40pm. The store is located in Tarzana & I have never felt so uncomfortable .. the young man who was my cashier told me he had to see every one of my items . I told him how many were in the bag & he told me that he needed to see & count every single item. This was insane!! I Will NEVER shop at this Tarzana Walgreens again!! Best toy section for a drug store/convenient store ever. They have the newest and usually hippest toys! They also have really good specials on stuff all the time. Last but not least, the staff is really helpful and will give you discounts here and there where they see fit. They just so happen to see fit often for me, that's for sure. This has been my family's second time visiting the pharmacy and I can not say how much I appreciate the professionalism and customer service I have received. They have gone above and beyond to make sure my kids received the correct medications and dosages as two different doctors did not write an accurate prescription. This is one of Walgreen's' smaller stores, with a small, extremely busy, VERY understaffed pharmacy. The shinning star at this pharmacy is their pharmacist Ramin Amini. This poor fellow tries to be everywhere to keep up with the demand. We've seen him answering phones, advising customers, ringing up orders, prepping and giving inoculations, etc. It's exhausting to watch him. Yet, he manages to do all of this with a calm, patient demeanor. Walgreen's' management should be ashamed for their blatant under staffing of this pharmacy. read more

This store is unbelievably poorly run. In just one week they have disappointed me twice. Last week they had the formula I needed in boxes upstairs and couldn't get for me. Now they have the formula and no key to open the case. Would I ever come back here??? read more

i've had multiple issues in the past (including one today) where the walgreens pharmacy either ignores or loses the messages from my psychiatrist requesting refills on my medications. i called the pharmacy to check to make sure my prescriptions went through and the lady on the phone gave me an extreme amount of attitude and refused my refills because i was "asking for them too early". well, my psychiatrist went in and spoke with the pharmacy and they LITERALLY did the math WRONG and had their INFORMATION WRONG. i ended the call literally hyperventilating because two of my meds are mood stabilizers and i wasn't sure how i was going to be able to take my medications. get your shit together, please. figure out your system. actually check your math. check your information. this is extremely unprofessional and makes me question how reliable this pharmacy is. who the fuck does the math wrong?? This pharmacy never answers calls. You are placed on hold and then they pick up several times without saying anything and place you back on hold. They are worse then CVS. At least CVS eventually answers the call. read more

I have been a customer of Walgreens Tarzana and their fantastic pharmacy for over 5 years. Raiman, the pharmacy manager, is always is so helpful and ready to answer any questions. The pharmacy as a whole, always follows up with doctors to get refills and to make sure my medication is ready in a timely manner. So happy to have such a wonderful pharmacy in my neighborhood. read more

I felt I had to post my review to balance out some of the negativity thrown in here. I think very often people only review when they are angry and wish for revenge. The staff here is always very friendly and helpful if you are friendly to them. It seems to me that pharmacists are too often in the path of the stray bullets of anger from people that are feeling unwell, frustrated and powerless in the health and insurance system. I myself am totally guilty of having unleashed on these hard working people a couple of times when I was not my best self. After having to frequent many pharmacies all too often I was happy to settle in on this one. It's usually not very crowded and the pharmacists, while not showing effusive personalities, are always very helpful in answering questions and concerned with making sure you don't pay too much for noncovered prescriptions, finding discounts or coupons if possible. The real issue with this pharmacy and most chain store pharmacies is massive understaffing. There is not a moment that I have ever walked up and seen an employee taking a breath. There seems to be a constant flow of needs coming to them, I can only imagine! All of that important very regulated medicinal work and all of the insurance craziness too? Seems thankless to me! I have no relation to any of the staff here. I just want more people, even in their pain and desperation, to recognize the kind people they are with, doing their darndest to serve in a job with limitations to their power and resources. read more

My family and I got our flu shots and Dr. Ramin did a fabulous job. He was so personable, comforting, and is an overall great pharmacist!! He was very informative and we all did not feel our shots. read more

Yesterday, Rabim, the pharmacist at Walgreen's in Tarzana, expertly administered my flu shot. For most people, this is a straightforward procedure, but for me it is not because when I was kid, I had a serious reaction to an innoculation. So to this day, I am understandably wary each time I get a vaccination (even though I know it is important to go ahead and get it). As always before, Rabim took great care of me with great skill, including putting me at ease, and I didn't even feel the shot. (And while I was waiting my turn, I was particularly impressed with the way Rabim diplomatically handled an obnoxious, complaining customer who, in my view, clearly had no cause to complain about anything.) I am giving Rabim five stars because he deserved them, and I will return to Walgreen's in Tarzana in a month to have him administer my pneumococcal vaccine. read more

The staff, including the pharmacy staff at this Walgreens is THE BEST! Even when I show up at the last minute at the pharmacy or when we can't get my prescription discount card to cooperate with my insurance, the staff is friendly and patient. The people at the front register and in the beauty section are personable and professional. I don't usually write reviews about drugstores but their customer service is so consistently good that I am finally sitting down to do this once and for all. read more

Really great staff of people! My prescription was filled quickly and correctly, and the staff made sure to ask me about any questions I may have about my medication. Helen is great, and so is the male pharmacist (I forgot his name), and they not only treat the patients with respect, but they treat their staff with respect too. Three stars for the amount of people who need extra extra help, like doc did wrong RX, people haven't been here in a while, RX confusion, lots of calls to the doctors office. This is why it is extremely busy, the customers need an extraordinary amount of services. Expect to wait, but also expect a resolution and a willingness to help. read more

Overall, im really satisfied with this walgreen, customer service was great and the associates really take care of you.

It has easy parking and it is new clean store. The pharmacy was somewhat annoying in that I had a prescription called in, but they did not fill it until I physically was in the store and as a result ended waiting about 20-30 minutes for the presciption. read more

If I could give a zero stats, I would. They say they to drop off your prescription, and come back in 25 minutes. I came back in 40, and they did not even began making it. However people that drop off and wait, they take care right away. Horrible customer service. read more

My prescriptions were automatically transferred here when the Rite Aid Encino pharmacy closed. I'm a busy person with high expectations of competency, efficiency and professionalism. This Walgreens Tarzana pharmacy has not disappointed. The pharmacist Rami is a true professional with an incredible work ethic and a desire to please his customers. Called pharmacy about a prescription. Waited on hold for over a half hour. I can hear someone picking up the receiver, placing me on hold, then placing the receiver back down. Hold music plays for a while, then, ringing again. Worst customer service experience so far in 2018. read more

The ladies in the pharmacy were very helpful and sweet. I will be transferring all my prescriptions here even though this pharmacy is a little out of the way.
