    The walker!

Very fun atmosphere! Very small place, but then again they're called Walkers. You get your food and get to walking! The food is excellent as far as tacos go! The service is amazing! They scared the crap outta my wife on entry into the door. (Always a plus).

I've been seeing this place all over TikTok and we tried to go when we were in Branson in October but it was so busy, the line was out the door and we couldn't find any parking so we didn't go on that trip. Fast forward to this trip and we were already downtown for a convention so we HAD to go try it out! You can bring your own container and have them fill it like someone actually brought in a kiddie pool or you can go crazy and bring your own bag of chips. I got the smallest one and it filled me up cuz they really pile on those ingredients. We had to wait a bit it was busy when we got there but so worth the wait. You pick your ingredients and they are made to order. We watched a family size bag of Doritos get turned into a fun lunch for 4 but I'm telling you it probably fed a lot more than that, they said it was heavy carrying it out the door. It's a tiny little store with a few barstools if you want to eat in but I don't recommend that. Plan on walking around and eating it or go down to the Landing. One person was working and he hustled so he sure to tip your worker if they do a good job.

Juggernaut with no vegetables- of course my teen ordered! Great part is everyone gets what they like!

Carnitas, Al Pastor, Barbacoa, and Asada. I loved them in that order. I probably wouldn't do the asada again. There's nothing wrong with it but it's just standard and I'd rather repeat one of the other 3. The meat in them was perfectly seasoned, tons of flavor, great texture. They have a little salsa bar to get some sauces. Green and orange were very hot which I love so they were perfect for me! Also a mild one to choose and sliced radishes and cucumbers which I love stuffing radishes onto my tacos. We showed up 20 min before close and it was no problem. Very welcoming. It took longer than expected to get the food being as we were the only ones in there but that told me they cooked it all fresh and took care in the preparation. Not just thrown in a basket and here ya go be quick and get going! One of the employees came to chat with us for a while and just ask about where we were from etc and we had a pleasant conversation with her. We won't soon forget this place and will be back again!

10/10. Tl;dr. Excellent choice. You gotta try it…read more We're from San Antonio, so we're spoiled by options for great Mexican food. I was skeptical about a Mexican restaurant on the outskirts of Branson, Missouri, but we were pleased to find this hidden gem. If this restaurant was in San Antonio it would be on my short list of top choices, at least based on the one experience. We all agreed it exceded expectations and if we're ever back in Branson, we'll return. The parking lot was empty when we arrived, not a good sign, but it was 2:00pm on a weekday, in the off season (early May with temps in the upper 50's) so we decided to chance it. We walked in and were the only customers there. Everything only got better from there We received a healthy servings of chips with a small carafe of salsa, so no need to ask for refills. We ordered an appetizer of guacamole. It was on point. We repeatedly remarked how fresh and tasty everything was. My wife had a mango margarita. It came with plenty of mango flavor, including some fresh mango chunks. I had the ground beef chili relleno with a side order of cactus (nopales). I've had many disappointing chili rellenos, but this one was perfect. The ground beef was well seasoned and not to dry or too sloppy like you sometimes get. Is was very lightly breaded, so if you really like a lot of batter, that might be a negative for you. It was served "open-faced ", sliced open so the ground beef, topped with plenty of cheese, was on top of, not really stuffed inside the poblano chili, but it was awesome. The cactus strips had been stewed with onion, tomato and jalapeños, so it was almost like a spicy warm salsa, or if you've ever had spicy green beans cooked with tomato and jalapeño, it was kinda like that - really good. My wife had enchiladas with a side of fried ripe plantains (maduros) and our grown son had tacos. Again, everything was great. The server was attentive and food service was quick (to be fair, we were the only customers). This is a small place They have a patio but it was chilly so we sat inside. There were only 5-6 booths and 4-5 tables but the decor was nice. They played mostly mexican pop music ( incl. Selena - Bailey Este Cumbia) with some American pop - a nice mix. I almost never post to Yelp. I had to recover my password to post this, cuz its been years, but I didn't want to let this pass without giving these folks credit.
