    Breakfast burrito

Good food, locally sourced ingredients. Fair warning: their "breakfast burrito" is a full sized meal (think Chipotle burrito)

Breakfast sandwich--egg white, cheddar cheese, sausage patty on English muffin, all for under $5
    Mike L.

We stayed at the Sheraton about one block down and were looking for a quick breakfast place--these guys got it right! For under $5 per person, you can get a breakfast sandwich made up of your choice of croissant, bagel, or English muffin, yellow or white egg, cheese, and sausage or bacon. I went in two mornings in a row and got in and out in a matter of minutes. If you're coming off the street from the corner of Union and 6th, you have to go into the courtyard and up the stairs. There's no sign out front so you actually have to go into the building and you'll see it, right next to Starbucks. PROS: fast service, very reasonable prices for breakfast (compared to a hotel room service breakfast) CONS: they were closed on the weekend. The first time I looked around for this place I walked around outside for a bit before finding out it was indoors and there was no sign out front (don't give up, you'll find it!) BOTTOM LINE: if you're staying at the Sheraton and want to grab a quick breakfast that won't break the bank, walk 1 block down here for a breakfast sandwich.

    Turkey Club Wrap

Walla Walla Farms is a good option if you work (or not) in One Union Square or Two Union Square building in downtown. They have breakfast (until 10:30am) soups, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, salad bar, loaded baked potatoes, chips, drinks and other little snacks etc. Line can get long at high noon so I've been going before that. Sandwiches and wraps is mainly what I go for and the few times I've been here, it's been pretty tasty. I like the Chicken Bacon Ranch Avocado sandwich and the Turkey Club Wrap. Both are made to order, most sandwiches are heated up in their little Quiznos type oven. All sandwiches and wraps come with a bag of chips of your choosing. Sandwich staff works hard to get your order going and have a good memory to what you ordered as they are totally multi-tasking as you are ordering. When your sandwich is ready, they will call your sandwich out loud, not by your name, so be sure to pay attention and stop staring at your phone. Paying for your food has been confusing and a bit of a cluster lately, there are signs that tell you to order here, pay here, but then direct you to pay on the other side near salad bar. Then now it's back to the original way where you actually follow the signs, but the people that have been going to pay on the other side don't realize it's changed back to the original way, but it's tough to recognize that as there is not always someone at the register to let people know it's the original way not the other way. Get me? Glad we got that cleared up. Anyways, good lunch option, staff is pretty nice, food is pretty good, and prices are pretty normal for downtown. They do offer discounts on certain days, holidays and offer lunch specials of the day.

Not sure how they made this "grilled" cheese sandwich
    Heather S.

This place is okay at best. Salad bar is okay. Have had both okay and inedible soup. But this is the saddest "grilled" cheese sandwich I've ever seen. Scarcely grilled and soggy--literally the easiest thing on earth to make and they found a way to screw it up. If I weren't severely limited in mobility, I would take it back and demand a new one or that they finish cooking this sad sandwich.

Thank you for accommodating our customized request. The presentation of each tray looks great (extra wrapping for eggs to avoid spilling); the food taste excellent; the price is reasonable; the delivery service is on-time. Personally, I don't like the taste of sausage, but I enjoy the way it cooked by Walla Walla Farms. Thanks again!

You know the random breakfast place you've never heard of when you're in an area you've never been to? Of course you haven't cause you've never been there so don't lie with your inner monologue. Easiest way to find this...go to the Starbucks and it's next door. First off no wait like the tards in the bucks line. Better selection of food and normal quick coffee. Simple fast cheap so you can get on with your tourist activities.

a sandwich wrapped in tin foil

Ending up throwing away. GROSS! Be careful. They asked me if I wanted any veggies but didn't tell me til the end that it cost extra $3!

I'd heard it was Filipino breakfast food, so I decided to go on a weekday after a staff member mentioned there's no wait then. To be safe, I placed my order online ahead of time. That turned out to be a smart move -- when I arrived, the place was packed and there were still two people in line. This is at 7:30am :| I ordered the Combo Silog to try a variety of things. I couldn't find the highly recommended ube pancake on the weekday menu. I later learned that it's only available on weekends, so I'll definitely have to come back for that. The combo came with a pork chop, two eggs cooked to your choice, two types of sausage, a silog with beef filling, and garlic rice. I also added a side of fried chicken. The pork chop and fried chicken were the highlights for me -- both had a thin, crispy batter that tasted great. I ordered my eggs over easy, and they were cooked perfectly: soft, but not too runny. The rest of the plate was solid, though nothing else especially stood out. I did wish substitutions were allowed, but the menu makes it clear they aren't. Overall, Ludi's definitely knows how to cook. The food feels like a tasty fusion of Asian and American breakfast comfort food, and it's hearty enough to keep you full for hours. I ended up skipping lunch. I'd absolutely recommend it, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try the ube pancake.

They served the coffees with a little shortbread cookie, and these little details really elevated the whole experience. Also, the cappuccino was so foamy, and it hit the spot immediately. The breakfast menu was also fantastic. The TPC Breakfast plate included sausage, potatoes, bacon, bread, and some scrambled eggs. There also was an option to add Beecher's cheese on the eggs, and I'd say it was totally worth it. Most importantly, the Dutch baby was as good as they'd advertised. It comes out on a piping hot skillet which kept the dessert warm till the end of the meal. The service was very quick even though they were entirely booked out for the time we were there for. I appreciated the patience from the servers and their helpful directions in picking the menu items. I will warn you that we had to reserve our spot months in advance. This is probably because the restaurant is great but pretty limited in seating space. However, it was definitely worth the wait, so don't be discouraged. The arboretum-inspired interior creates a warm, inviting space that's perfect whether you're meeting friends, getting some work done, or simply taking a break from the day. While I ultimately decided that I'm still a fan of the classic mocha, I'm glad I tried it--it made for a unique coffee experience. Another nice surprise is that Hagen also has a full bar, so it's a great place to return later in the day if you're in the mood for a cocktail instead of coffee. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions, making the experience even more enjoyable. Between the excellent coffee, creative drink offerings, beautiful interior, and relaxed atmosphere, Hagen Café is a place I'd happily recommend to anyone looking for a unique café experience in Seattle. I ordered the Pork N' Bitch, which came with biscuits as the base, smothered in sausage gravy and topped with plenty of shredded cheese and bacon bits. As for the taste, it was delicious and very savory. The biscuit was soft, and the bacon bits added a nice crispy texture. My only complaint is that I wish there had been more gravy. I also didn't really taste any sausage in the gravy. I was expecting more of a traditional Southern-style sausage gravy, but the flavor was a bit different from what I'm used to. This is more of a take out spot, as there isn't any indoor dining. Fortunately, it's located near the Pike's Marketplace, so I recommend taking your food for a walk toward the waterfront and finding a nice place to enjoy your meal. One funny thing was that I was expecting the person taking my order to greet me with, "Good morning, bitch! What can I get you?" Instead, he called me "sweetheart." LOL. Maybe he could tell I wasn't a local.
