I was stunned as I walked in with my girlfriend and was greeted so warmly. Offering a water in this Texas heat, life savior. The detail about it, Peter was kind, spoke to me as if he knew exactly what I wanted. Offered me this simulation on bed rest and showed me a mattress that worked for me and my girlfriend. They are asleep on the job!…read more My wife and I bought a split king bed and adjustable base with LED underlighting plus two black touchpad remotes (over $5k) from Kenny at the Keller store on Denton Highway and North Tarrant. The delivery driver and helper set up the bases and installed the mattresses. The driver tested one of the two bases then raced outta here. PROBLEM ONE: The remote did not work properly on the untested one. I actually had to hold the remote under the bed to get it to work. They sent another team out with a replacement base and remote that afternoon. They disassembled the old base, installed the new base and left. PROBLEM TWO: The new base they brought out was an older version - not matching the other base (perhaps refurbished but who knows). It had a silver remote (not a touchpad) and a standard light bulb for underframe lighting rather than the LED. I called the store manager and told her I wanted the SAME BASE AND REMOTE on both sides of the bed. She tried to convince me otherwise saying they were the same product and it happens all the time but I wasn't accepting that. Eventually she agreed to send the other. PROBLEM THREE: Several days later a delivery team arrived. They disassembled my base, took it out to the truck, then opened the new box and... low and behold they brought the wrong one yet again. It should be noted that each time they come out they only commit to a date, so we need to make sure someone is available at home ALL DAY to receive the bed. The night before, they give you a two hour window via automated caller narrowing it down, but once you clear your calendar it remains cleared. PROBLEM FOUR: I spoke to the store manager, Melanie. She told me she checked and "actually the silver remote and base with light bulb is the newer version and the black touchtone remote and LED model is the "old model" and they don't make it anymore. She offered to bring out a replacement for the black remote and LED. I told her I needed to research it first because I don't believe her story! Nobody is phasing out LED's in favor of light bulbs and moving from touchscreen remote in favor of the old type push buttons. I immediately contacted the manufacturer, Leggett and Platt and spoke with Alisa in customer service. Amazingly, she confirmed I was right! The newest version is the black remote and LED light. They discontinued the other one because they had lots of problems with it. MELANIE AT SLEEP EXPERTS LIED TO ME in an effort to make this go away! I called Melanie back and informed her, and she ultimately offered to upgrade us to their top base model at no additional cost. I must say this type of treatment of retail customers went out the window many many years ago now that social media is available. This interaction thus far has been regrettable! I'm waiting now on a delivery date for my two new 900 model bases! We'll see how that goes, but I'm not holding my breath!
