I had most of my house done by Wallside 30 years ago. Had an issue a few years ago and they were prompt to take care of. Much appreciated!! In October of 2022 I had 4 other windows and door wall wall replaced. Once again very pleased. My question is. When it rains or snows the bottom jamb of my new door wall will accumulate water on the inside track. Had a Wallside tech come out and he says its normal because its a one piece track. Just doesn't seem correct to me. Anyone else experience this? I'm going to contact Wallside again and ask to speak to someone to advise. Thank you. Today is 03/02023 this is a follow up to my previous. Wallside sent a tech out to check my concern and he looked at it and said water inside the track was normal as long as it wasn't over flowing. unsatified I called for service again and asked for a different tech. The lady who took the call was somewhat rude and also said it was normal but sent a different tech at my request. The tech "Nick" came out 2 days later and Actually took the track apart and said, you have ponding water in the track. Then said the door will have to be taken out and reinstalled to allow the water to flow out. Wallside called and said the installers will be contacting me in 10 days to correct the problem. Bought $6,000 worth of doors and windows and paid in full. Since the installation in February, I have had nothing but problems. I still can't move into my house and we are in MAY. They admitted the person who put my windows in, was on drugs (cocaine) and was fired because of it. The sliding door they installed leaked destroying my new floor. They told me they would be out in two weeks to replace the door, meanwhile this very large investment is destroying my floor that I just installed. It actually took them three months to return and fix the door. Update, they replaced sliding door and said they were making an insurance claim to cover the damages to my floor and an insurance adjuster will contact me... so my family is going to have to pay 3 more months rent on our current house. We cant move in when they have to rip up the whole floor that was just put in. We got estimates from our contractor who said the whole floor needs to be replaced because of the water damage. They caused over $17,000 in damages so far. Our bills continue to pile up because we chose to use this company. It took me a week to get in contact with the owner of the company who did his best to dodge my calls. When I expressed my concerns to the owner of the company, he did not stand behind his product or offer a refund on doors he knows was put in by his installers who was on cocaine. He simply said, "that's why I have insurance." I can't express how unhappy I am with this company. I think the most unsettling part of the experience is knowing that my pregnant wife and toddler daughter opened the door for the installer who was fired for having a drug problem. This gentleman was in my home, and around my family. If you value your property, and don't want to go through the hassle of an insurance claim; if you don't want scuzzy drug addicts in your home, I would use a different window company. read more

Wallside Windows warranty ROCKS. I will start off by saying that I have not actually purchased anything from Wallside Windows...YET! When we are ready and able to replace the entire windows, they will be our first and most likely only call. Here is the story behind the raving review: We moved into our new house about 3 years ago and did not know how old the windows were, but almost every single pane had either a crack, fog or condensation in it, one of them had all 3 issues! Our original plan was to replace them all at once, in a year or 2 after we moved in. then COVID, then I lost my job, etc. Needless to say, new windows were definitely not in the budget. I was so tired of cleaning these windows that would never look clean. I called Wallside to see if they had installed them and if they would be covered. They knew right away, from our address, they they were Wallside windows that were installed in 1991. They sent out Nick, who was very nice, to look at all the issues. He said they would all be covered, even the cracks in the panes, because they were stress cracks. As I am typing this review, 2 nice men, Jacob and Ryan, are replacing NINETEEN panes, all covered under warranty. Mind you, this is 31 years after they were installed! We also have a rental property that had 5 windows with the some of the same issues when we bought it and so we called and got those replaced under warranty before renting it out. The installers today said Wallside will honor the warranty on these new ones til 35 years from the original purchase day (about 4 more years for these). They also said that the new glass is thicker and that the insulation value is better than the original too, so I may even save a few bucks on heat/air costs! Wallside came to my home to address concerns from the original install. I called for this appointment in November and the Tech was to come December 17th but he did not. He did say Wallside would call to re-schedule. They did not. I called Customer Service in January and spoke with "Linda" who is probably the rudest "customer service" person in the State of Michigan. I ended up calling the Install Manager who came out the same day. He noted problems with two screens and caulking around a 3rd window. Wallside came out today, but sent a defective screen so they have to come back again. Today's Tech told me "during the Obama Era, they changed adhesives in caulk...." I hired Wallside Windows to install seven windows in my home. The workmanship was not good. They did not chalk around my kitchen window, and now yellow Jackets are living in my walls!! We purchased wallside windows because of the warranty they offered, now they won't stand behind their warranty. We couldn't get the screens back in our large picture window frame so I called wallside to have them look at it. After a 3 week wait the guy finally shows up. When I explained the issue we're having he goes inside the house first. He couldn't get the windows out, which they're supposed to lift out for easy cleaning. Then he goes outside to check the screens which obviously won't go in. He goes to his truck and brings back a wide putty knife and pries the screens in. I explain that the window is sagging and needs to be replaced. He says there's nothing wrong with it, that you need to pry the screens in and out. I respond by saying that I shouldn't have to use a tool the get the screens in or out. He said that's the way it is and we would have to live with it. I then asked about the windows he couldn't get out. He said that's normal. If I would have a review like this before buying their windows I never would have bought them. The windows are a nice design concept, but we noticed several quality defects after installation. 7 of the 21 windows had noticeable imperfections in the glass panes (e.g. scratches). There was also broken hardware on one of the windows, which was discovered when the window became dislodged from the frame. The installation crew did a great job, but there were some areas where they didn't clean up any of the sawdust or vinyl. It only required some vacuuming on our part, but my expectation is that all work areas be thoroughly cleaned by the contractor after installation. We've been working with customer service to try and get these issues resolved, but as of right now I cannot recommend this company to potential customers. read more

BUYER BEWARE: DO NOT BUY FROM WALLSIDE WINDOWS Our Wallside Window install was scheduled 10/2021- it took 62 days for them to get it right. The flex screens are HORRIBLE. Wallside would not re-measure our windows after I repeatedly requested it... "No need. Your window measurements are on file." So surprise, surprise, NONE of the flex screens fit (after 2 attempts). Then they tried aluminum framed screens. Again, I requested a re-measure, and they said "No need"... guess what? They did not fit AGAIN! After the Nth visit did Wallside get it right -- and ONLY bc their independent installing contractor, Todd, took it upon himself to FINALLY measure our windows for the aluminum frame, which he said, "Those fit differently than the flex screens." So, thanks to Todd, we got the right fit on our double hung screens.... 62 days after the initial installation. This whole Wallside Window experience was horrible and very stressful. I wish we had never done it. It ended on an even lower note with management, who was accusatory and name calling even though his staff ran charges on our credit card that was NOT on file. So, if you want quality products, quality install and professional management -- DON'T USE WALLSIDE WINDOWS. Unfortunately, we are stuck with them now, and I truly hope Wallside Windows honors the warranty that was pitched to us. read more

These Gus stand behind their products and I will always govack to them for my window needs. We had them install windows in our home about 18 years ago. The seals recently broke on 4 of them. We called them, they sent out someone to inspect them who verified the problem and then promptly replaced them at no cost to us! That's how you run a business!!! read more

We ordered 3 window replacements which were installed in April. The crew left a huge mess, debris on our lawn, caulk on all the windows and a gouge in our window sill. Wallside reimbursed used $200 for the two hours it took to clean it up and $100 to fix the window sill. The caulking job was very sloppy. A crew came to reinstall the windows and was very professional but the original crew had caulked our shutters in such a way they could not be removed. Wallside reimbursed us $159 for new shutters. The windows failed inspection because they did not use tempered glass in one window and a safety device in another. Now 7 months later the job is finally completed assuming in passes reinspection. I called for additional compensation for my wasted time and they promised to get back to me about the amount. Still waiting!!!! read more

Customer service is awful. Tried calling them for over a month. After getting the run around they just stopped returning calls. Finally just gave up. Pretty sad that these people get away with this stuff. They left our house saying they would come back to complete the sliding door we had installed. Never came back.. Never told us what needed to be finished.. They put a hole in our wall. Had a verbal altercation with the installing manager. The employees had a verbal altercation with the install manager. Nick the repair man did a great job and was very pleasant. Love how they stand behind their work with a 35 year warranty. Can't beat the warranty. Had windows installed in a sunroom January of this year. After installation two out of three windows are leaking every time it rains. Rather than repair the leaks I am being told that it will have to go before a review board to determine if it is there responsibility or mine as they are stating the J channel above the windows is the issue and not the window installation itself. The windows I had replaced were over 40 years old and never leaked a day. Wallside installs new windows, they leak and somehow it is my responsibility. This company is awful to work with. The workmanship from the Wallside employees, Austin and his crew was very poor, and amateur. They damaged numerous walls in our home, and trim around the windows. All of which they failed to tell us. We discovered this after they left and were very disappointed they would leave a job in that condition. They marked up walls, left broken glass on the carpet, failed to fill all the nails holes, installed damaged trim, and damaged trim throughout the home. An employee, Dan, came out to the home after we called and shared our concerns. He took pictures of the damages and said it was very poor quality and it would all be fixed, by someone other than the original installers. My husband called to inquire when they were going to come and fix the damages/repairs and was told by David everything was completed on 4/10/23. NOBODY ever came to fix all of these damages. We are still waiting. Our home has been in this condition for one month. We have spoken with four different employees to get these problems corrected, and nothing has been done. Install went ok but windows have drafts and customer service isn't good at all. Wallside has been out a few times in an effort to correct the drafts felt through multiple windows. Paid way too much for a garden window in the kitchen and it seems to be the worst. A tech came out and said it was never sealed. I offered him a ladder so he could reach but he proceeded to step in the sink and broke it. He tried blaming it on the counter people that installed it. I told him it was for dishes and water, not to stand in. Wallside reimbursed us to have it fixed but the window drafts continue to be an issue. Had another service tech out in December as there is at least a 7 degree temperature difference between our first and second floors. he said they will need to send a few out to check the insulation, or lack of it. I have now called twice to see when I can expect someone out. Today they said possibly March. I asked to speak to a manager and was told she was unavailable but I could leave a voicemail. Still waiting on a call back. At this point I could not recommend them to family or friends and we spent a lot of money to have new windows installed in the entire house. Just had all windows in the house replaced, including changing a family room window into a slider. The crew arrived at 9am (Scott, Tyler and Tim), a man short due to sickness, Scott stated that they would do all they could to finish in one day, but due to heavy rain and one man down, had to come back (at 8am) the following day to finish off. Overall, VERY satisfied with the installation and site clean up! They even replaced the trim on our original slider to match the larger trim on the new slider at no extra cost. After ! paid over 7,000 for windows last couple of years (2020), This year the picture window leaks(2021 and water puddles damaging the sill and wall) and they refuse to service the window.! In my opinion the representatives are either stupid or ignorant. Very negative opinion of this company. Very bad installation. They have been here twice to reinstalled a window because of worker error. They broke my window sill and had to replace the sill during installation. one window was broken during install and I had to wait weeks for the company to replace the broken glass. Wallside initially installed the wrong windows on their first trip out. It has taken 8 return trips and 18 months to put the correct windows in. Their installers have refused to honor the promises and contract their salesman made, most notably they refused to replace a rotted window sill and installed the new window over it. Their service department is unhelpful in getting these issues corrected. read more

Wallside Windows installed windows in my home in 1999. For reference, a Google search reveals the inception of Yelp was 2004. My review is based on owning these windows 19 years, and having service and warranty work completed. As one can assume after 22 years, the windows didn't open as they did when I first got them. They stuck. Additionally, the large garden window we had in our kitchen tending to "weep" when the weather was inclement. It took me a long time to finally call service. I just procrastinated. The sticking windows were easily resolved by spraying silicone, however during the inspection they noted several seals were bad. I have double hung windows, and throughout my house they ultimately replaced 9 of the sections of the double hung windows. More significantly, the entire Garden window in the kitchen was replaced, ( and, it is huge) No arguments, no negotiations, no attitude, they just did it. Honored their warranty. It's sad to say, but I was shocked at how good the service was. The fact that I didn't have to fight for my warranty. Shocked, utterly shocked. I was ready for a fight. But none was needed. I will tell you this was not a quick process, as we had several service appointments , measuring from 2 areas of the company, since the garden windows are made in a different area. But, oh so worth it. Having this process be completed without any charge, with excellent service, with smiling faces....Priceless! read more

I do not recommend Wallside(vinyl). After spending thousands of dollars on windows, it was the worst decision. Our gas bill has increased. We can hear everything outside, feel draft, windows are hard to open & harder to close, yet easy to clean & they make your home look nice. But people want quality which they are not. If you want good windows go with Majic (fiberglass windows). We will be saving to get new windows from Majic within the next two years. And please read the contract. Windows have 30 year warranty exactly what does that mean. read more

I also had them put frosted glass in two bathroom windows, charged $15 per pane, so $60. What a deal! They stand behind their work and the employees were efficient and very nice. Installed in 1998 windows and door-well, contractors were great installing the door & windows, but when it came to follow up with warranty service, Very Poor! It will cost no less than $85.00 to replace a $5.00 cylinder lock! When the serviceman arrived 5/25/21 he didn't have any replacement parts! Seriously? Then we were told they would be in touch in one week, nonsense Never happened! Try to speak to a supervisor or anyone at a higher pay grade it's not happening. We'll be replacing the complete door well with another company, that has a 10/20 yr. warranty.
