While out and about for errands I placed an order to pick up on my way home. The website offers curbside pickup and text message updates. I received neither. I arrived a few minutes early and parked waiting for my order status to be texted to me. When that didn't happen I called asking about the status of my order and they told me it was ready for me to pickup. I told them I placed the order for curbside and the response was still it's ready for me to pickup. I gave it a few minutes thinking they would bring it to me since I did order curbside, but no I still had to go inside to pick it up. Food was good though. read more

The food was very salty, over priced for the quality we received. We were visiting from out of town and were so very disappointed in the whole meal. Some creepy guy from the kitchen in dirty clothes kept coming out in the dining room. The waitress was wonderful though. read more

We ate lunch here today. My husband ordered the grilled meatloaf and it was good. Mashed potatoes were awesome but green beans tasted like they were from a can. I ordered the English roast served on a bed of mashed potatoes, and turnip greens. Again the mashed potatoes were very good but the turnip greens.....from a can. Now the roast...yuk! It was what looked like pieces of stew beef....definitely not a roast. It was too tough to even put a fork in. My husband tried mine and he will eat anything, but said he thought it was terrible. I was able to fill up on mashed potatoes, tea and some bites of turnip greens. The service was great and they have decorated and put in new tables and chairs since it was Marie's. read more

I don't see how this place is rate 4.5 stars, honestly it was marginal at best. Service was slow, food was decent. I asked for over hard eggs, and they came out runny - sorry but that is a big turn off for me. Sausage gravy tasted like it came out of a can. Extremely friendly wait staff and outgoing owner is just the cherry on top of this place. If you go, be sure to try the Trainwreck breakfast platter, or the Lipstick on a Cow if you want a scrumptious burger! Meatloaf and mashed potatoes are also excellent choices while here. read more

This was an off the path gem we found on Yelp. So glad we did! We tried the trainwreck breakfast which was fantastic! Huge pile of home fries with sausage gravy and eggs any way you want them on top. Perfect home fries and delicious gravy and eggs. I came too early in the day to get the Mississippi pot roast I saw others had recommended but by the time we left it was ready and the waitress brought us a sample without us even asking. We were not disappointed! So good. Can only imagine how good it would have been over their mashed potatoes! We would come back if in the area again. read more

Nice little local hole in the wall. I was in town for business and wanted to get some chicken and waffles on the way to the airport. I put in my order and noticed that they must have been short handed as the 2 people rushing around working all the tables, as well as the walk in's. Food arrived quickly, and I was a bit disappointed. Waffle was gummy, and the chicken was over cooked. Staff was nice but I hope the rest of the menu is better. read more

This is one our favorite breakfast spots! My hubby gets the train wreck and I get the aye caramba which are both fantastic. The kiddos love their pancakes (honestly best around...a teeny bit crispy around the edges and soft and sweet in the center!). Their sausage is to die for...tastes like it's homemade! Service is always good. They've had a few hiccups starting up but are always quick to make things right. You can leave your mark writing on their walls and a special section for veterans and first responders which is a nice touch. This is our go to breakfast spot! See y'all again soon! read more

Frozen waffles, frozen chicken strips probably from Sam's or Kroger. Cheap syrup, potatoes out of a bag, horrible. If your going to serve people food then take the time to learn your craft. Spend time learning to cook instead of buying everything frozen and heating it up. What a waste of money. I will never go back. read more

I just picked up the thunder chicken breakfast and it will be 2-3 meals for me and it was FANTASTIC. It is only a 15 minute drive home. Only had to wait another 15-20 minutes after I got home and the doorbell rang. Kudos for quick service. Now on to the food... My wife and I both ordered the grilled meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. Overall, the meal was good. Was it "slap yo mama" good? No. But it was good, and certainly plentiful. The star was the meatloaf (as it should be). The meatloaf was good. It still had a good ground beef texture, and wasn't too dry. The sauce was sweet and tangy, somewhere between ketchup and BBQ sauce. The sides were the underwhelming part. The mashed potatoes were definitely instant. This wouldn't have been so disappointing if it weren't for the fact they boast about using fresh ingredients on their website. Both the potatoes and green beans were severely under-seasoned. This is attested to by the fact that my wife, who is very salt sensitive was actively looking for our salt shaker to give it some food. All that being said, I would definitely like to try some other things on the menu. While under-seasoning is a bit of a bummer, I can always compensate for that. Much easier than fixing food that is already too salty. read more

was excited to try after hearing good things, but incredibly disappointed. we arrived around 9:45 and were one of three tables in the restaurant. we ordered and did not get our food until 10:45. four tables came in and were served while we were still waiting for food. when the food arrived, sides were missing and everyone's food was lukewarm. i ordered the french toast and it tasted solely like sourdough toast while the menu said it was "drenched in vanilla ice cream prior to cooking". my bacon was barely cooked and cold. the waitstaff was not helpful and did not come over to our table to explain why the wait was so long. i've worked in food service for 2 years and understand that waits are normal, but an hour long wait for lukewarm food should have been addressed. read more

My family tried celebrating my daughters birthday here today. There is no call ahead reservations and we were told for our party of 10 it would be 'first come, first serve'. Normally this would be fine and we attempted to go just before noon. We walked in and surveyed the open spaces. Several tables were available inside the first room and we asked to pull tables together. After being told that we couldn't, we debated finding another restaurant but decided to stay and try to make it work. After separating to three separate tables, the server for the room began taking our orders. During this time the server yelled angrily at my Mother. Evidently she was too busy. We gathered our things and left. We will never be back and I will never recommend this place to anyone, ever. read more

Went in for a weekend breakfast. Place was busy but not crowded. The coffee was weak and though I didn't want a refill, one was never offered. Asked for eggs over easy and they came fried hard. The pancakes were rubbery and greasy. A very disappointing meal. I'd eaten at Maria's which was located there previously and thought their breakfast was OK and hoped this would be better or at least at the same level. The Yelp reviews for the restaurant were good which is why I was hoping for a good breakfast. I can not recommend at any level for breakfast and won't be going again as the preparation was among the worst I've ever experienced. This was my first and my last visit. The service was extremely slow. The food was overcooked and not as described in the menu.

I love that breakfast is served all day, because we were late risers this morning. We had cheese cubes for an appetizer. They are cubes of pepper jack cheese that have been battered and fried. They were served with ranch dressing. They tasted amazing!!!! Personally, I think that marinara sauce would have went better. Everyone else liked the ranch. I chose the Hay Caramba which was a breakfast scramble over breakfast potatoes. It was great!!!! Everyone else seemed pleased with their pancakes, omelettes, breakfast burritos and bacon. We went on a Saturday morning. I ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast with white gravy, eggs and biscuit, and my wife ordered the bacon and eggs and biscuit. We both ordered our eggs "over easy". First, I was given toast instead of a biscuit. That's fine, I told the lady that delivered our food, and she said she'd tell our waitress, and then proceeded to go help her tables instead. Our waitress came by a few min later and noticed and got my biscuit instead. Our eggs were not over easy. Instead they were fully fried. My wife decided to eat hers, but I asked for new eggs. 5-7 min later I received 2 less-fried eggs, even though my meal comes with 3. At this point I was over the issues and didn't complain additionally. My wife's biscuit was also cold, but again, this experience was pretty bad if you don't know how to cook eggs at a breakfast place. The rest of the meal was "eh" with the breakfast potatoes being half seasoned and basically frozen steak fries that are cut up smaller. The bacon and chicken fried steak were good (only reason they get 2 stars), but the white gravy had so much sausage in it, it became greasy. We won't be going back. read more
