I thought this was pretty good. It does seem a bit dirty on the inside. Which could def using some cleaning. The food itself was wonderful. Service was pretty fast. We were in and out. The menu was pretty self explanatory. Would come back and try other things!

This was typical diner food. It wasn't good and it wasn't bad. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, check them out. Husband was satisfied with his food. He has pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. I had a biscuit, sausage and potatoes. Service was good. Price point it excellent.

One of my favorite diners ever. Classic diner setup: a long, bright hall with booths and often lots of people. The service is extremely quick and servers are friendly. The prices are awesome! I've shopped around at West Street: pancakes, patty melts, it's all good. But I always come back to fried catfish and fried okra. It's always fresh, hot, and crispy. You can't go wrong with any of their sides, but you'd be wrong to NOT order okra here.

Fresh turnip greens, spiced apples, corn bread and muffin.

So exactly what you would expect. Very good. Quick service. Real food for less than most fast food places.

Man sometimes a diner is what you need. We originally went to Big Bad Breakfast but I'm sorry man that joint ain't worth a 60 minute wait. Maybe the one in Oxford but not the Memphis location. Anyway back to West St Diner. One of us wanted lunch and three wanted breakfast. It was almost noon (pay no mind to the time shown on the clock that I shared). Lunch guy got a cheeseburger and French fries. Good looking burger with 2 slices of cheese and generous amounts of lettuce 'maters and onions. Crinkle cut fries. One got strawberry pancakes, the strawberries were frozen (thawed of course) as opposed to fresh. Still tasty though. One had biscuit and gravy an egg and some toast (biscuits were home made) and I had eggs Benedict and hash browns - the hash browns are fresh taters diced and cooked on the skillet top. Very nicely done!!

Small diner in Germantown with good food and quick service. Don't miss the counter area in case the wait is too long ofr you. Staff is friendly and efficient. Menu has a nice variety for whatever you're in the mood for.

    Swai Fish

I have been dining at West St Diner a few years. I make it there at least once a week to dine in. The main dish that I get often is the catfish. It's tasty and fried to perfection. Just recently I dined in and ordered my usual catfish with fries. This time it was DIFFERENT. When I received my plate I noticed IT WAS NOT CATFISH. ITS SWAI FISH. I was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. I called the waiter over to ask her is this swai fish. She said "Yes it's swai fish. We've always sold swai fish" This is when I told her I have never received swai fish as an entree when I come here. She was very rude with her response. I completely lost my appetite after being served Swai Fish & the waitress telling me they always serve swai fish. I WILL NOT be dining there anytime soon. Please be aware that although the menu says CATFISH they are serving SWAI FISH..

Not great. The vegetables were clearly out of a can. Mashed potatoes were weird. Chicken and dumplings seemed canned too. Gross.

The food and coffee was so delicious. I wouldn't say I'm a food snob, but I'm particular about breakfast foods, and this made me very happy. We each ordered a coffee and the bacon potatoes to share. I ordered the Juniper Benedict and my friend ordered the loaded biscuits and gravy. The bacon potatoes were cooked perfectly, soft and slightly crunchy with plenty of cheese and bacon. The eggs in my eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly and they used a regular house-made biscuit that soaked up the egg yolks perfectly. The restaurant was pretty big, but the ambiance felt like a small-town diner. The staff was super kind and attentive, too. The cost is par for the course for a nice diner in a big city. TLDR: Not a bad word to say about this place.

The meal consists of baked beans, Cole slaw, a deviled egg for each and dinner rolls. We were seated immediately by a very friendly hostess and then greeted by our waitress. She is clearly someone's Grandma! She was extremely cordial and attentive....just like your Grandma would be if you sat down at her dinner table! The food was delicious and maybe the best ribs I've ever had! The meat was perfectly smoked, with a great Smokey flavor and a rich bark on the outside. I'm talking about sucking on the bones to get that last bit of BBQ taste. My biggest disappointment was we finished everything...no leftovers!
