Oh. My. Gosh. This establishment has some of the finest staff I have ever seen. And their crown jewel, PJ, is nothing short of greatness. I was thoroughly enjoying my shrimp scampi, rare, when I spilt a little bit on my shirt. Without hesitation, PJ, my knight in shining armor, sprinted across the resturant with swiftness and finesse and started wiping the spill off of my shirt. He was extremely apologetic and then went and gave me his shirt to wear for the duration of the meal. Once the end of the meal came, I offered to give his shirt back to him and he said, "Keep it, let it be a memory of me to relieve you in my absence from your life" Astonishing. Had dinner there tonight with my son and his wife. Nothing stood out as being extra good the hamburgers were somebody could make it home with a wonder bread bun I had ahi tuna. It was satisfactory. On another note the servers need to dress up a bit they're wearing these lame T-shirts supplied by the owner and they don't fit when you're paying 25 or $30 for dinner. It looks like a bunch of college kids at an ice cream store. The place needs some fixing up. The ambience is hardly anything. The room is full of TVs. Nothing on the walls. Not one painting or anything. But this is Long Beach Island so if you're open people will come and spend money. So I guess the owner figures he doesn't have to do anything special It has potential it's just not living up to it. read more

We had breakfast here on Monday this week. The food was delicious! Especially the Lemon Ricotta Crepes and French Toast. And better than the food was our waiter Nick who didn't skip a beat taking excellent care of all our needs. Such a great place for breakfast!! Also want to complement Nichole the manager. This was not a planned visit tonight, but boy o boy sooo glad we did!!! This place is supper friendly. From the moment we walked in and asked for a table of 4 tithe very end everyone was soooo friendly, service was fabulous. Now for the food....OMG THEIR ORANGE ROUGHY special was out of this world!! Coconut shrimp and the sauce was fabulous. Viking scallops were excellent. I would recommend this to everyone ten fold! All I can say is you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!!! read more

Excellent spot for an outdoor covered dining experience. They have propane heaters for almost all the tables and everyone is definitely spaced out 6 feet apart. The wait staff is wearing gloves and masks and the tables are sanitized in between seating. My husband and I came here on the way home from Smithville because we were looking for a new restaurant to try in the LBI area. I love clam chowder and there's was actually one of the top clam chowder's I've ever had. I wish I could've taken a pint home with me. The fish tacos were just OK I I was caught off guard by the whole hot and cold dynamic of the dish. Also the bacon and ranch chicken quesadillas were slamming highly recommend as an appetizer even your meal. Great spot in LBI definitely can't wait to come back and it's probably even better to come in the off-season because even then it's still was getting a little bit busy but there was no wait. read more

Consistently yummy! Vegetarian and vegan options! Accommodating. One of my island favorites!!

As a single diner, I enjoy sitting at the counter. Staff are friendly to CV hat with. I had the crab cake sandwich for 14.95 which included french fries. For the price the sandwich was good. Fries were excellent. WATCH OUT hours listed on Yelp say they are open until 9:30 PM. Those hours are during the summer. Thay are open until 8:30. I uploaded a pic of their new hours. read more

Great food and service. I've never had such good gluten-free pancakes. Very few places serve water that's hot enough to make good tea, but Wally's does, and they give you a nice pot. My beau enjoyed his shrimp omelet and coffee. read more

I was happy to find a restaurant close to home with vegan options however what you order is important! I had portobello fajita with peppers and onions. No kidding the order came with 1 small piece of onion, 5 small mushroom pieces if that and tons of peppers. When mentioned, waitstaff brought some fried greasy yellow onions not red. No one offered to correct the problem. the waiter was obviously unconcerned and didnt fully get that mushrooms to a vegan, should have been the main event. $19 for sauteed peppers and a fajita, very disappointing. My husband had the falafel salad and was very happy with his choice and at past visits I had a good impossible burger so 3 stars is benefit of doubt rating. read more

This is now my go to breakfast place in the off season. Gluten Free waffles are wonder and it so great to be able to sub almost everything to GF. We'll be winter regulars from here out. Summer is everyone else's chance to get a taste of the amazing food. read more

Wally's is a solid breakfast/brunch place for sunny LBI mornings. We went twice in one weekend, because it was right next to our hotel and our mornings would've been sad, rushed, and foodless otherwise. True, the food itself is just average - slightly overcooked omelettes, overcooked home fries, a corned beef hash that was perplexingly Italian (with tomato and parsley??). The breakfast burrito is small and cold and they seemed to just sprinkle the inside with unmelted "Mexican blend" shredded cheese. The poached egg dishes are the best thing - drenched in hollandaise, exactly what you want a benedict plate to be. But be forewarned that the "salmon benedict" is just cooked salmon, not smoked salmon. The bright, clean ambiance makes up for any missteps in the food. The space is a modern version of an average diner, with a counter, extremely friendly servers, and all. Wally's is apparently very popular, packed and bustling even at 9am, but we never had to wait for a seat. read more

Wally's salads and appetizers are what we usually get and those have been excellent! The service is the best in Surf City and I've been coming here for 20 years. BYOB and they provide glasses. There's a liquor store next door at the SC Hotel. They are dog-friendly at their outdoor area, too!! read more

This place was so impressive! From the friendly staff to the excellent food- we actually ended up visiting twice for breakfast on our vacation! The staff were incredibly accommodating and family friendly. I enjoyed pancakes my first time, and a breakfast burrito on my second visit. They really have their act together, On a Saturday in July diner time I got on their waitlist online before I left my house and they had a table waiting for me when I got there. Unlike other restaurants right now they had more then enough staff. The food came out quickly and was good. I think I was in and out of there faster then I could of gotten a table at one of their competitors. read more
