I tried to make an appointment for an oil change here on the app and it said the next available date was this coming Saturday. That is insane to me. So I decided to call them directly and the guy on the phone said come in "right now" which I did not expect. I left immediately and my car was taken in right away. They said it was going to be a half hour wait, but they finished way before that so that was very nice. I wanted Mobile 1 full synthetic because I'm pretty sure it was listed as one of the options in the app. But they said they didn't have it and recommended Quaker State as that is what they use on high mileage cars. I had a pretty standard and good experience getting an oil change at this location. I made sure to reserve a time slot 1 week in advance for my oil change via their website. Navigating through it was simple and easy. When it came time to get my oil change done, I was about 30 minutes late due to traffic. I did call ahead and they said it was still fine for me to come-in late. Driving in, it was a bit confusing as to where I should park and where I should call for the mechanic. However, when I was able to get a hold of one, they guided me on where to park and I was able to simply register for my oil change. However, the staff were a bit unwelcoming and stern, but I could understand since I was one of the last people to get their car serviced and they wanted to go home, but still. They signed me up for phone notifications and I was able to get my oil change done in 45 minutes. I did go through the mall next door while waiting, so they were able to hold my car until 6:30pm. Overall, a decent experience here. It was also a good deal for $28.99 for a basic oil change. I would come back to get my car serviced here again if it makes sense logistically. read more

I am deeply disappointed with the service I received. On Friday, December 5, I paid for an oil change. By Thursday, December 11, my car was feeling shaky and making unusual noises. Upon checking the oil, I found it was low, so I drove home that morning. The next day, I noticed the oil light had turned on, and the car had no engine oil. I added five quarts but decided to take the vehicle to Walmart Auto, this time in Brea rather than Buena Park. The team in Brea informed me that the filter cap was loose, which caused the oil to leak out. I am grateful I took the car in on Sunday morning to have it fixed, and the manager was very helpful. However, I will not return to the Buena Park Auto Center again. On Monday, I plan to contact customer service to inquire why this issue was not double-checked before I drove off. read more

Horrible experience. Been going here for my oil changes but today will be my last one! Went to pick up my car and first they couldn't find my keys. As I was pulling out of the parking spot I saw a big puddle of oil and went to park again I went out to check and of course it was my car leaking all over the floor. The person working there took it back in and fix it but never gave me an explanation whatsoever. Decided to go talk to their manager to get my money back they wasted my time and in danger my car and all she said was a free oil change next time as if someone would go back and trust them with their vehicle. read more

Took a drive to this auto center to get a usual oil change or one of my cars. Arriving just a few minutes after they have opened I saw only two attendants working. I thought it would have taken a while for me to be seen but they took me in just after a couple of minutes waiting. Not sure what the guy name was who helped me but he had curly hair and glasses. He took my info down and was very quick about it. He mentioned that it would only be 30-45 min wait. Went back to pay for my oil change after walking around the store for a bit. The cashier was nice and informed me that I was a quart low in oil when I arrived but other than that I was good to go. This Auto Center SUCKS* I made the mistake of coming here for an oil change twice in the past, both times I waited approximately 4 hours, because according to the clerk they had a mechanic that did not showed up. Ok, that can happen, people get sick. Two days ago on Thursday I called to see what the wait time for a oil change was at 9am, they told me "it would be a while" because their 9am person did not show up, today, Sunday I called again at 9am, the answer? The same "it would be a while our 9 am person did not showed up". It would be a while? Really? What do you want me to drop my car at 10am and pick it up next day so you have enough time to do an oil change? At this point it can be te thing, either they are doing this on the phone so they service less cars/customers by telling them basically not to come because it will be a long wait or they really have a person that doesn't want to work and just don't show up. Conclusion, call before coming to this auto center, but trust me this Walmart sucks just go to another place and save yourself of wasting your whole day here. read more

They don't take appointments. I ordered tires online and when they arrived I called them to make an appointment to have them mounted. When I called they said they don't take appointments because they are short staffed. When I picked up the tires they said it would be 4 hours. The key is to be the first car. Pull up in the back and park in front of the garage doors behind the garden section. They open at 8am so get there around 7:30am at least. I didn't get there early enough. I wanted to get my tire patched up and it would take less than 15 mins but the person in front me arrived 3 mins earlier than me and needed all 4 tires changed. They told me I would have to wait at least 45 mins bc there was only 1 person working in the morning. So I went to Goodyear down the street to save time and ît was slightly more but time is money. Walmart gets 3 stars for being under staffed. My husband has taken my car to Walmart several times but he got lucky and I didn't. read more

I came here on a Tuesday morning to get an oil change. Paid about $40 and cannot be any happier. I think they vacuumed my two front seats because I remembered leaving my car thinking I was going to clean it after the oil changed was done. I came back and my floors were definitely cleaned. Came here on a Saturday morning to replace my car battery. Was greeted by Jose. Jose replaced my car battery well before the initial estimated time of completion! Great job! And cool guy! Everyone was friendly and would often check on you if you needed anything or ask if you have been helped yet. You can go inside the Walmart and walk around the mall while you wait. I have gotten my oil changed a few times here. Nothing too great or terrible the first couple times. After today, I will not be returning. I was greeted by a rude and grumpy employee, who treated me like an idiot when I didn't know which brand of oil I wanted in my car. When I asked about how long he thought it would be, he scowled and barked "I dont know". THEN I waited 3 1/2 HOURS for an oil change. I'm sure they were busy, but to be honest, if he had maybe mentioned that it might take a while when I asked, I might have rethought keeping my car there. The worst service in an auto shop I've had in all the years of needing repairs/tire changes. I was helped quickly inside and was told to take a paper outside to the auto shop valet stand. I stood there for 30 minutes being ignored by all the mechanics until one who was barely competent asked what I needed. After dealing with him for 15 minutes just giving him information, I had I ask how long it would be and the mechanics inside who seemed annoyed at being asked mumbled an hour-hour and a half to change one tire. I came back in an hour, paid for it and my keys a were not in the box behind the counter. Was told they had them outside. Okay fine. Went back to the podium to be ignored AGAIN by the two dudes out there for about 10 minutes until male customer showed up needing help who they felt was worthy of letting him knot they'd be with him in a moment. I furiously went back inside to ask if someone could just give my keys so I could go home since I was being ignored. Finally got them and left. I will never come here again and only did this one time due to a bomb threat at the Long Beach Towne Center location. read more

I've gone here about 3 times now to get a basic oil change and without any line or other people waiting, it takes about 1 hour and 15 min just for the oil change. The ladies inside are never polite and get very annoyed if you ask about how much longer your car will take. The lady working today said that she will call when my car is ready, if she "has time for it". She then said otherwise I just need to keep checking in....so theyll get annoyed at you checking in but not call you when it's done so you have no choice but to keep asking. I had to get my tire replaced today. When I got the call from them to pick my car up, I wasn't able to answer and they did not leave any voice mail. When I called them back I had an unpleasant conversation with the guy. He seemed a little off and rude by the tone of his voice. I already knew that picking up my car would be a hassle after the conversation I had with him. Anyways, when I get there, I tell him that I change my mind and do not wish to get the warranty for my tire. He then proceeds to tell me that since I had changed my mind, the paper work was going to take a little longer (which was a total lie) and that I had to wait for it to reprint. By the time the paperwork is done and I'm about to pay for the work done, I realize that he was about to charge me an extra amount for tire disposal, even though the extra tire was in the trunk of my car. After pointing that out, he easily removed the charge. What frustrated me was his attitude, his body language and the fact that if he was able to take off the price of the tire disposal so easily, he could've done the same to the warranty of the tire. Terrible place, avoid it by all means. I used to go to this Auto Center to do my oil changes, but not anymore. The couple times I used their services the wait time for a oil change being 3rd on the line of cars was about 2.5 or 3 hours. The mechanics and associates are rude. They do your oil change and don't have the audacity to reset the computer. Last time I was there it was 12:30 pm and I had 5 cars in front of me, I said ok, it is gonna take a while but let's do it, when it was my turn, the associate told me that they won't do the service to my car because they had only two mechanics and they were no taking anymore cars, come on, I was waiting 30 mins, they should have told me that before. Again and again..Giant Super Retailer fails me again. Horrible horrible experience as a customer. Its Monday morning 10:40am and i pulled over to autocenter for oil/filter change for my Durango. The lady employee asked me what i needed, and i specifically told her i needed full synthetic,0w20 Mobil 1 ohil/filter change. She scanned my vin and told me to leave the car keys to her. I asked how long it will take , they said they dunno. I was told between 1-2 hrs...i waited and waited and kept checking to make sure there were progress. After another hour, i asked them again and they said its not ready. I left the keys at 10:40am..after nearly 2.5hrs...1pm i went to the autocenter desk and asked them if it was ready. The employee told me "WE DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS AVAILABLE , SO NOTHING WAS DONE" .... I asked WHAT??? WHAT DO U MEAN??? He says NOTHING WAS DONE, WE COULD NOT PERFORM ANY SERVICE WITHOUT NECESSARY PARTS AND TOOLS" Why did they even accept my vehicle for service?? Why didnt they tell me earlier?? I arrived at the auto center at 4:25. They're open until 7 pm but apparently they stop servicing anywhere between 4-5pm. Which is totally understandable if they have a lot of cars to service from the morning or afternoon. BUT, it is NOT OKAY to have multiple customers waiting outside in the line, in front of a sign that says, "please wait here for assistance." I waited 20 minutes in line behind the "wait here" sign. It took a worker TWENTY MINUTES to realize that there's cars waiting for assistance, only to tell me that they're closed for the day. Geez thanks for the heads up. At least put up a closed sign to inform customers. It just annoys me that multiple workers servicing other cars clearly saw that I was waiting and didn't even say a word. It didn't kill anyone to say two words, WE'RE CLOSED. read more

I had ask for Mobil full synthetic oil and they used semi synthetic in all of my cars.

this is a good place for an oil change. really good deal for the price with synthetic Penzoil. just make sure you tell them what oil you want for your car. they use castrol oil too.. it happened to me one time that a lady there is the one who checked in my car.. i mentioned that i want penzoil, but when i asked after, what they put in there, they told me it was castrol that they put.. and i told them that i said, i wanted Penzoil on my engine and they told me they will replace the oil with the one i want. so i said Ok, and if they change it or not i can't really tell since it's gonna look all the same. and one more tip.. the checklist they have is not accurate so don't panic, they will mark it, even if they didn't really do or check it.. all is just visual inspection for sure. but if ever it's true (in your case) and you didn't know about it, it's a good way to start and check the checklist as a guide for you. and fix it yourself, if you know how. read more
