I went to Walmart Auto Care Center (839 US Hwy 130) for a simple oil change. As soon as I left, I noticed a strange noise coming from the blower motor. I went back immediately, and the manager told me it wasn't related to the oil change and said to go to the dealer, claiming they would cover the cost if needed. The dealer found the cabin air filter was installed upside down, causing debris to fall into the blower motor. They explained that checking and reinstalling the filter properly is the responsibility of the service center. After paying to fix the issue, I returned to Walmart -- and they refused to reimburse me, saying it wasn't their problem. Unprofessional, irresponsible, and unwilling to take accountability. Definitely not recommended. read more

They say it's first come first serve, i get there at 7am when they open just for an oil change. After 3.5 hrs of waiting I ask how much longer and they say there's 4 cars ahead of me and it will take another 4-5 more hours. The people here suck all of them read more

Had a 6pm appt, didn't get my car in the bay until 7:30. Asst. Manager took about 30 min locating my prepaid tires. George is good at explaining things with a side of common sense. If you are looking for cheap new tires this is the place. Just expect to waste hours waiting for your car. 2/15/18 Update, came back because one of the tires was installed the wrong way (directional). I can only laugh..... read more

I've been turned away from this place every time I go. I've always gone to my local Walmart for oil changes but after stupidly trying repeatedly in the last four months I've given up. I should have done so after my first 2 negative experiences in 2018. Their staff of incompetent, lazy, and rude "mechanics" have finally blown me off for the last time. Going to finally wise up and go to a reputable establishment that hires professionals and not individuals who couldn't hack it in a legitimate shop. read more

I should've listened to the one-star ratings here before coming - ALWAYS LISTEN TO YELPERS! because this place is pretty terrible. came twice to get my oil changed and was turned away both times because they were "too busy" - one of those days I came at 4 pm... when their closing time was 7 pm (THATS 3 HOURS BEFORE CLOSING FYI). the 3rd time I woke up at 7 am on a Sunday to try again, and they made me wait until 9:30 before telling me they refused to do it (liability due to a tightened oil cap or something - which is understandable... but every other Walmart I've gone to has been able to open it and thus tells me a lot about the competency of their workers.) this was before I saw them tell the guy right in front of me they refused to do something to his car because his license plate was too rusty. (seriously. exact words.) so, Auto Center dudes: what CAN you guys do? besides stand around eating Cheez-its while talking to your customers with bad attitudes? read more

I am less than impressed by the service and lack of experience and expertise of the shop workers at this location. I would go ANYWHERE else but this specific Wal-Mart for anything tire related. Do yourself a favor and stay away. read more

This is Walmart in Hamilton on route #130 August 31, 2016 I took my car to the Walmart (Store #02518) to get an oil change. When I went to take my car out of lot it was hesitating and not moving at first in reverse. When I drove it it was hesitating and revving extremely high until I got moving a bit. I park my car in another location of the shopping center and continued my school shopping. On the way home it did the same. When I took it out later that day it did the same. In the parking lot I checked the oil and it was extremely over filled. I took it to mechanic across from store I was at and he checked as well. He said I should bring it back to Walmart and speak to manager and not mechanic. When I arrived the mechanic who worked on my car came over and I told him what happened when i drove it and when I checked oil. He checked oil and said it was slightly overfilled. I requested he fix the over filled oil since that was all I knew at time. I went into store and requested to talk to manager. I was told the manager was not in but the supervisor Joshua could help me. When I spoke with him I told him what happened and I requested it in writing the work that was just done to fix oil problem. He refused to give me anything in writing. I requested to speak to store manager and the assistant Tom came over. I explained what happened with my car when I tried to drive it and that I checked the oil after and the results and I wanted it in writing. He had supervisor write me a receipt that the car was brought in and 2 qts of oil was drained from car. When I left parking lot my car continued to slip when I drove. Prior to coming there there was absolutely no problems with my car. I drove it to Superior Automotive who has ASE certified mechanics. I explained the symptoms. They checked oil and it was correct. They then explained that the transmission pan in the Subaru is located where the old pan is and close and a lot of times mechanics who are not familiar with Subarus make this mistake. They checked my transmission fluid and it was completely empty. The mechanic refilled it for me and he stated it took 3 quarts to fill, the exact amount needed on a Subaru. Therefore I was driving my car with no transmission fluid because Walmart totally emptied it. The customer service man at mechanics even knew that. When I brought it back to Walmart they should of checked the transmission fluid when I described the symptoms. I have recored my conversation where I explained to the mechanic and manager the symptoms i had. Any knowledgable mechanic would of checked that. They did not and let me drive off and damage my car. When I called Walmart and spoke with assistant manager he first said he was not the one who spoke with me. This was another lie whereas he later said I did ask the mechanic if he checked the trans. They did not because if they did they should of documented that as well on the receipt I requested. Tom the manager told me he was sure they did and were good mechanics. I am not sure how this was possible whereas he already put two quarts too much oil in my car which is equal to 50% too much. My car burns oil and I just got back from a long trip where I check periodically and refill. This time I decided to go get oil change then refill due to being low. That is why 6 quarts were in it. It was approximately two quarts low already when he refilled with their 4 quarts. Obviously their mechanics are not well trained if they do not know difference between transmission pan and oil pan, nor to check transmission fluid when customer comes back same day and describes how car is driving. I want a full refund on oil change and I want Walmart to pay for my car to be checked by Subaru and for them to pay for any damage related to driving my car with NO transmission fluid and too much oil. read more

I know that I was being extremely generous with-in my last review while I was writing it. Unfortunately the last time that I went to this Walmart for vehicle service, I was not helped. There was nobody available in this department at all. Phones were ringing off the hook, and customers were waiting around for assistance. I had to walk into a different department to request assistance, to which was unsuccessful in it's own right. Finally a woman, possibly superviser, approached me with quite an attitude. She advised that there was only one person working that day, and that I would have to wait just for them to take down my information. But I didn't let the smile go from my face, as it was Saturday morning, and there are plenty of other options available for routine service. Even when a workstaff is present, there is far too much aloofness. This causes concern for me, considering that they're touching and "working" on my wifes car. We're done taking our vehicles here. read more
