I'm sure it must suck to be a Walmart oil change tech. I mean, you couldn't even qualify for Jiffy Lube? But jeez dude, don't take your misery out on the customers! Never saw such attitude. There's no signs, and the procedure for checking in has been different every time I've come here. But the dude was pissed that I pulled up to the open bay (as I was told to do last visit) to ASK, and he about went out of his mind! I brought my car in for an oil change and to have one of the TPMS sensors replaced. When I came to pick it up four and a half hours later, after they said the work was complete, I found out that the oil was changed but the only thing about the TPMS, they said, is that one of my sensors is out, which I already knew. When I asked why the work was done, the lady behind the counter said, "I don't know, I just started my shift." She gave me a lot of attitude and finally went and talked to the mechanic. They both couldn't figure out why the work wasn't done and told me to come back the next day. When I asked why they didn't bother to call me and let me know that they found a defective TPMS sensor, I was told their employees are not trained to make those types of phone calls. This has not been a good week for us with our vehicles. I should preface this by saying we have visited this location included in the service without any issues. We bought tires at Walmart, and free rotation was a service that was included in that purchase. We got an appointment for an oil change at 5 p.m. on Saturday. I called a total of four times. The first time I called, I was put on hold for 10 minutes. I called back two more times, and nobody answered the phone. I waited for a few hours before calling back. I got through, and a nice employee made the appointment. I called four times. The first time When I arrived, they were quite busy, but I was able to check in right away. I ended up waiting for an hour and a half. I left the shop and drove home. On my way home, I noticed my car was acting a little funny. It was only a 4-5 mile drive, but at about mile 3, it started hesitating. When I reached my house, it was blowing white smoke and would only coast. We tried calling the tire center and could not get through. We tried calling the main store but we could not get through. we pressed every department number we could and NO ANSWER. We drove down to the Tire Center and spoke with Ben. He says he will call his manager. We were told that we can bring it in tomorrow, the manager will, and the manager will check it out. We tell him we can not drive it. We can tow it in. He says. "OK," We ask when will the manager be in. He tells us that he comes in at 10:30 the next morning. We told him, please call him back and let him know he needs to come in early. So fast-forward to the next morning, we have the car towed in, at our expense, and the people that are there in the morning so not really know what we're talking about when we ask about our situation. Ben comes in shortly after we arrived. The good news was that they took the car in right away. They saw that it was overfilled and proceeded to drain and redo the oil change. It only takes about an hour. They also wipe down several of the areas that had oil on them, which was appreciated. So, Ben comes out explains what happened and apologized again. He says if there are any issues at all, please let him know. While we were waiting for the car, we walked around the inside of the store. We ended up talking to one of the managers who was very sympathetic and kind when we had explained what happened. We were not going to involve the managers in the store in the situation beyond letting them know that nobody answered the phone for over 30 minutes. We told the manager that we spoke with, we didn't need any follow up but just wanted to let them know that it is very difficult to get through. And there was no follow up from the auto care center or the Main store. This never should've happened and I originally was going to post it with one star but based on Ben's performance, I bumped it up to a three. He is a good team player and they are lucky to have him. read more

The people working there were helpful, and the services is very affordable (for instance, oil change is very inexpensive compared to other mechanic shops). Downside is that it's impossible to make an appointment without going there in person. Nobody picks up the phone, so don't bother calling. Forget about using the Walmart website- it only allows you to schedule an oil change and wouldn't let you add any of the other services. Go there if you want oil changes or tires replaced for cheap, but overall this place needs improvement because scheduling was such a huge hassle. read more

The absolutely worse Place WARNING to everyone coming here We came here 3 months ago and we mark our filter for oil change mas it came out the same one So they didn't change our oil filter and we pay full price And we are today to do another oil change and so I finally Mande a complain and they said they did change until I mento that my husband mark the filter and it was the same one And they got all nervous and quiet So we leaving today without our sticker because they said they don't have one for us So everyone mark your filters get under your car I think is pretty fair to complain for a work you are paying for. read more

I have gotten consistently GREAT service from the folks at Walmart Auto Care Center in Folsom, CA. I had a bad battery, which was under warranty from an auto parts store. With my car running, I raced into one of the service bays and explained that the car would not be able to be restarted if the engine was turned off. It took AAA truck, plus their battery pack, to jump in the car and get it running! The Walmart team immediately drove my car into one of the bays. They dropped in the new battery for me very quickly and had me out of the store in less than a half an hour. This is not the only time that I received great service from this crew. Unfortunately they're not allowed to except tips, cookies or other gratuities... Which is unfortunate, because they certainly have earned it! Son brought his truck in for an oil change in January 2019. After waiting a while and another customer who checked in after he did was done, he found out they lost his set of keys. Needless to say, he ended up spending approximately 8 hours there where they looked, checked video, but no sign of his keys. I had to run to his house after work to find a hidden key, run to Walmart so they could make duplicates of all the keys on his key ring and get him a key so he could drive his truck home. Reported it to Folsom PD as we were not sure if they were lost or stolen?! The reason we come here is it is convenient to shop while you wait and there are numerous other stores in the area to do other errands while in Folsom. A joke. Came in to get a tire patched and they didn't even try to do it claiming my tires are "too narrow". I've had several shops work on my car in the past and that has never been a problem. I think the technician was just too lazy, not in the mood to do it. read more

So our Brand new car we bought was in need of its first oil change and like most people we were too busy to take it to a "real" shop to get its oil done. Saving a little off the price was an added bonus. She arrives there with the car before me and the first thing the "sales rep" say to her is that, "We are booked today and we are only doing quick oil changes." I thought nothing of it since that is all we wanted a simple oil change. so we drop the car off and go to a neighboring store to do some shopping that Wal-Mart doesn't really have. Less than 30 mins latter my Wife gets a text stating that her car is ready. I immediately had a bad feeling about that simply because in all the years I have used Wal-Mart's Tire and Lube services I have never had an oil change done in less than 30 min, yet I remained optimistic. So I dropped her off at the Wal-Mart to get her car and I did ask her, "Do you want me to come in?" she said, "no I can do it!" My God those service clowns are awfully damn lucky I did not go in. When she entered the "sales rep" states that the car has "severe damage" and "they were unable to remove the drain plug due to extreme risk of causing further damage to the vehicle" and they "recommend that we take it to the last place where we had the oil change" THATS THE DEALER THAT SOLD US A THE CAR YOU CLOWNS! Now we all know CA's roads are pretty gnarly to be driving on but how the hell does a car with 30k miles on it have a "severely damaged oil pan and drain plug? We do not take this car off roading. we just drive it on freeways and have yet to hit anything other than a load of bugs. So my Wife brings the car to me at home and now I am not no mechanic by any means but I did grow up around cars working on them with my dad so I know my way around cars. I immediately jump under the hood the engine still remarkably clean from when we bought it. I noticed on the front hood/grill area that there is used motor oil splattered all over it so they did spill oil all over my car, wonder what damage that my cause to the paint? I got underneath the car to inspected the "severe damage they talk about in their report. the underneath of my car is clean as a whistle and not scratch, nick, dent, puncture, NOTHING. the underneath of this car is in pristine condition. Its funny that they say the oil pan is damaged and that is why they "can't work" on it, because the oil pan has a steel shield plate the covers the entirety of the pan except where the drain plug is where you remove to drain the oil. I will be filing a complaint with the California Bureau of Repair, because telling people that they have hundreds if not thousands of dollars in damages so you can get out changing peoples oil on their car is a dangerous business model. If Wal-Mart is hiring people that don't want to work then they need to fire those people get new people in there or they need to do away with their Tire & Lube services. This really what happened, "Bill another walk-in for oil change" ok we will wait like 30 min tell them that their car is all busted up and send them on their way." Piss Poor automotive team you have there Wal-Mart this needs to be fixed immediately. I tried to buy tires that are indicated on their website in stock. The lady checked their computer and it indicates that it's in stock. But after searching around the store she said she just can't find the tires. This was at the Folsom, ca. store. We also tried at the Reno store and they said they can't guarantee when they can put the tires on because they don't have enough staff so just come to the store and sit and wait and maybe they'll get to you. Zero stars and my trust is gone. I arrived at 7am their website said they opened at 7, nope they open at 8am. But with Covid that's not unusual. I just needed an oil changed. They said it would be 45 mins, it took 70mins. I was fine with that. It's when the service guy said "Lady your car takes a lot of oil, like 8 quarts! I looked him square in the eyes and said " It does not take 8 quarts, it takes 4.75 quarts!!! ( My car is a 2006 Hyundai Tucson Limited Edition 2.7 Liter 2 wheel drive ) He argued with me that they are professionals and they always look it up! I said fine look it up... I'm telling you it's 4.75 quarts and 8 quarts will blow all the seals in my engine. He pulls the book out, slides his finger across the page see it says right here... OMG IT SAYS 4.8 quarts!!!! All 4 employees run to the shop area. Which the door automatically locks. They stay out there for 10 mins and said it's all fixed we redid your bill to reflect 4.8 quarts and it doesn't say revised bill on your receipt. But did you drain off the excess oil. Well we filled it to the line someone scratched on the stick. I was starting to get very upset and I said there is an F and an L on the dip stick. The oil should be just below the F!!! The response was Lady we fixed it! I got home checked the oil.. it was 3" above the Full mark. I called the Store Mgr. He said bring it back we'll look at it. I asked if he was going to pay for the seals if I drive it. He said he didn't have a tow truck. I called State Farm and they arranged to Have Quality Tow to come out and tow it back to Walmart. The store Mgr and Auto set Mgr we're waiting there for me. The Store Mgr said he watched the video tapes and his employees did everything right! Then why did the service guy say Lady your car takes a lot of oil like 8 qts!!! They drained out the Full Synthetic that I paid for just to show me it was not over filled. Except they put the plug in before it stopped. Then the service guy ask what oil to put in the anger told him use Replacement Oil! Full Synthetic is golden/ clear, they replaced it with brown murky oil. I asked why they were not replacing it with Full Synthetic the Manager said oh it's the same that jug is tinted. As if I am blind!! I may be blonde. But I know how to read a dip stick, how much oil my car takes and the difference between 10W30 and Full Synthetic 5W30 Oil. I throughly resent the bold face lies and condescending remarks about the oil in my driveway was probably water! Like I don't know the difference between water and oil! read more

Although Walmart has sold out of stock he mentioned that if I went and bought it in he would help if it wasn't too busy and sure enough he did. I bought tires online and scheduled a new tire installation for a Monday morning at 9AM. I go to the auto center at 9am on Monday and they're closed and apparently not open until 12pm. I call back when they're open and they say someone called in sick which is why no one was there at 9. Which is fine, I get that happens. I try to schedule for a different time that day and they say "we don't schedule day of appointments" which makes no sense since I had scheduled an appointment for that day to begin with. I come to the store to schedule an appointment for 10am for the following Monday and that went well. I come in for my tire installation at 9:45am and then stop by the desk later to check in at 11:20am. My tires hadn't even been put on and my car hadn't even been worked on. They may have just rotated my old tires by accident i don't even know. Now I have to wait ANOTHER HOUR for them to do this. Save your time and spend a little more money at a different auto center. WASTE OF TIME! I bought tires from Walmart online. I went to the Supercenter at Folsom to have them put on the car and they told me there would be a 4 hour wait. So I made an appointment for the next day. Came back next day and they processed me and I gave them the keys. Walked around for about an hour, came back to the desk and the young lady told me they couldn't put my tires on because the car was missing two jack pads and so they wouldn't jack the car up to do the job. Stamped in big letters "CANCELLED" on my order form. I told them that they were just there to prevent the frame from getting scratched and I don't care. She refused and told me "Walmart is really strict about that". So even though I gave them permission, they refused to do the job. I found out that these are pretty common and they sell them everywhere and also have universal ones for mechanics and tire shops to have on hand. Not only that, but they are really supposed to be used with floor jacks, not a lift like they have. If you have a professional lift, you don't need pads because lifts have their own fully adjustable pads built in. So if Walmart is in the business of selling tires and have a shop, they should have their own jack pads on hand instead of inconveniencing their customers like that or learn how to use their own lift. Very poor, incompetent service! The lady just told me to go somewhere else and have them put on. Wow! NICE! read more
