We brought my wife's car to Firestone Complete Auto Care for a deep scraping noise that turned out…read moreto be a wheel bearing issue. This was a scheduled 9:00 appointment and we didn't hear from them until almost 6:00. The biggest issue here is pricing and professionalism. They tried to quote nearly $1,200 to replace a wheel bearing. That same job can be done almost anywhere else for MAYBE $500 and $600 at the absolute high end. The quote felt completely disconnected from reality. What made it worse was the experience after we told them we'll do the service elsewhere. While waiting, it took them nearly an hour just to bring the car down. During that time, multiple employees were sitting around in plain view on their phones. Not working. Not communicating. Just scrolling. No manager involvement because honestly, what would be the point. The core problems here are inflated pricing, poor time management, and a lack of basic professionalism. This location wasted our time and tried to overcharge us for a straightforward repair. We will not be back, and I would strongly recommend going literally anywhere else.

I wish I could give negative stars for this business…read more First of all, I dropped off my car with a slow-leaking tire around 10am and did not hear back until 4pm only to find out - 1. my tire is not repairable due to nail also having punctured the sides --this is a lie (1) because I had my car towed to my house and the person to towed it said it was completely fixable since nail was in the middle of the Trea. 2. my treads are low so I need to also replace the other back tire for a total of $1000. --this is a second like since my car only had 30k miles and my treads were just fine. So walked in, got my keys and left... at least "air is free" which I filled up my tire so I could head over to Preston Tires in McKinney where I was promised my tire would be patched up in 15 minutes and it would only cost me $20. WHAHT?!?!??! It turned out to be completely true. I drove 30 minutes from Prosper to McKinny and boy, Princeton Tires were amazing. They are just cranking out tire repairs like they were making tacos at a taco stand. No joke, no kidding. This is the place for all tire issues going forward. So the lesson is.... These guys are complete crooks. Make it out to Preston Tires and forget all this BS.

Gave 1-Star Review for recent Extremely Poor Customer Service experience - Avoid This Location…read moreI've been a regular customer at this Brakes Plus for over a year and generally had good experiences--until my most recent visit. The service advisor, Bruce, was being Condescending and impatient right from the start while interacting with me. I came in for a standard Oil Change Plus package, which has always cost around $100-$150 (including the inspection, tire rotation, etc.). Instead, Bruce came back with a massive $2,700 estimate for a long list of "recommended" repairs and immediately started pressuring me hard to approve everything on the spot. When I asked for a printed copy of the estimate so I could get a second opinion (something any reasonable customer would do), he got visibly offended and made a scene in front of other customers. He sarcastically snapped, "Tell me please, I will give it to you"--like I was being difficult for simply wanting documentation of a multi-thousand-dollar quote. It was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. This kind of childish, condescending attitude has no place in customer service. We're paying with our hard-earned money, not running a charity for the shop (and they're definitely not running one for us). Basic respect, clear explanations, and professionalism should be standard. Despite his terrible behavior, I still authorized about $550 worth of the recommended work because my car needed it. Had Bruce been patient, explained things calmly, and treated me like a valued customer instead of acting entitled, I likely would have gone ahead with the full $2,700 job. His attitude alone cost the shop a ton of potential revenue from me. I won't be back to this location. I'll take my business to another Brakes Plus there are 2 right within 5-8miles. Management needs to address this kind of behavior--retrain advisors like Bruce before they drive away more loyal customers. Very disappointing and frustrating.

I waited about 15 minutes which was reasonable. The girl scanning in was nice. I asked her if they will top off coolant and fill tires because the coolant was low and my tire pressure light was on. She assured me they would and they started the service. Not once did anyone come explain pricing or how it works, give me an option or anything like Take 5 does. Then they came to replace my oil. They all looked annoyed to be there and the guy changing mine very clearly did not put coolant or any top off of fluids. They also did not even touch my tires. This is all fairly basic in an oil change but for them it must have been too much to deal with because I had to ask if they did it. Another guy had come over to the window and said yes and I asked again if he was sure to which he said, yes again. had zero wiper fluid so I knew already that they didn't just from that alone. The girl came over to ring me up. The oil change was $135 which is absolutely ridiculous. There was zero warning on the price plus it was clear they didn't bother to do anything else with the oil change. I'd honestly be shocked if they did anything at all. I'm just hoping the oil is fine. I paid and the hood was still up. The guy who said that they topped off the fluids closer the hood and told me I was good to go. I asked him if they filled up the tires and he said no. I said I asked before they started if they'd do it and they said it was included...clearly this was an annoyance to them. He said the machine wasn't working and I'd have to drive down two stalls. I was like sure that's fine...welp when I said that he just got the air compressor at the stall I was at and filled them up. I'm assuming he just didn't want to do it... Finally, I asked him again for the THIRD time id they'd topped off fluids. He said yes they should have and I told him the car was still saying it had low coolant and could he just check because I just paid them $135 to do this and I didn't want to have to come back. He finally did and...no they had not put coolant or Wiper fluid in. He very reluctantly did it and said he was always having to show people how to do their jobs. I'm assuming this happens a lot and they just hope people don't say anything. Long story short, this place is overpriced...gives no indication of how much the service is and then doesn't even do the basic "18 point maintenance check". I'm so annoyed I had to keep asking and they kept trying to make me leave before they even checked under the hood. They clearly are too busy or annoyed to deal with it. I will absolutely not be back and I would highly suggest you go elsewhere too.

They came back and said I had a nail and the serviceman was repairing it. After about 30 min my car was ready. No charge, headed out. My daughter was driving my car immediately to OKC. About 45 min into her drive the tire light came back on. She called and I told her she needed to return home. I have those "run flat" tires that can be driven on for limited miles. She returned home and very annoyed I returned to Firestone. Explained what happened, and they got my car right in. I FULLY expected them to come back and tell me that I needed a new tire. These tires run about $450-$500 each. HOWEVER, the manager came back and explained that the tech who had repaired my tired had made a mistake in how he tried to repair it and because it was their fault, he was replacing at no charge! I was shocked! Absolutely no way I would have known that without them telling me. This place has earned a customer for life for their integrity and honesty. Got the tire replaced and car back to my daughter. She arrived safely in OKC and I've not had any issues since that time. Thank you Firestone!

I used CarAdvise for additional discounts, so all these services were extremely cheap. All of the staff were friendly and quick to get to work on my truck. I change my own air filters, both cabin filter and engine air filter. So after I was there last week and they showed me the dirty air filter, I stopped by an auto parts store and picked up both. Today, when changing the cabin filter I notice that 2 of the screws that hold down the box the encases the air filter are missing. This detail is minor, yet disappointing to me. Also, the reminder tag in the top left corner of the window.......when the old one was removed, also the reminder for a tire rotation was removed. The tire rotation sticker not only had the mileage for needed service, but also the address to create the appointment. This is a service that I get done at Costco where I bought the tires, as it is a free service. Again, a minor detail....but important to me. I understand it might have been stuck to the reminder they removed. As a courtesy, I should have been handed that sticker and given an apology or at the least, leave the sticker in my car. Fortunately for me, I know the mileage to have the rotation completed and I am confident I can easily locate the website. Oil change was fine, they were fast and a coupon was honored. Hopefully this review will serve as a reminder to respect the property of others
