My dad recommended this Mr. Tire down the street from their house and I was beyond happy with my service. The man that helped me at the desk whom I believe was the manager, was one of the nicest, patient and friendliest people in automotive I have ever met. Super Kudos to you, dude. They told me it would be a little over an hour for my car to be done, was done exactly that. Their prices are on-point, they also offered extra things but never once tried to sell me things I didn't need which I haven't experienced in any of those places. Typically you're conned into getting all kinds of extras you don't need at all. Not this time. I'm beyond impressed with this place. It's hard to find genuine people who actually care about your car and getting you back on the road. I highly recommend Mr. Tire by Polaris! Way to go, guys!

Manager Glen was immediately rude and resistant to processing my valid Fidelity Warranty service plan -- I had to call Fidelity and hold my phone over the counter on speakerphone just to get him to do his job. 33 days later my engine was destroyed. The authorized Subaru dealership formally documented in writing that the oil level was incorrect following Mr. Tire's service and caused catastrophic engine failure -- $8,952.09 in damages. I filed a claim with their insurer Travelers Insurance. Denied. I have filed complaints with the Ohio Department of Insurance, the Ohio Attorney General, and Subaru Corporate. I am pursuing this in Franklin County court. I am a server. This set me back years. Glen didn't want to do his job that day and I'm paying for it. Other customers -- check your oil level immediately after any service here.

When reading reviews, it is important to remember that people's experiences with auto mechanics…read morewill always vary depending upon their individual circumstances and perceptions of the quality of services rendered. Most of the time when people come to a mechanic, their vehicle is broken down or need repair meaning they're already under a lot of stress about how much a repair will cost and frustrated they need a repair to begin with. Obviously, not many of us have money to just throw away and seldom do we expect the extra expense of a repair when the occasion arises. This being said, I've been to Tuffy Tire & Auto Service in Lewis Center twice now. Once to have a repair done and once to purchase new tires. Both times, the staff have been courteous, professional, friendly, and put in the extra effort to make sure my vehicle and purchase was right before I left. I have to say though, this last visit (September, 2020) was exceptional. I called about new tires for my vehicle and spoke with Brandon. Now, I know that for most, tires are simply the big round rubber things that hold air and keep our vehicle connected to the road. For me, as silly as it may sound, I had a specific look and functionality I was looking for in my tire purchase. Unfortunately, I didn't have much of a foundation to build on in terms of finding the right brand, warranty, and purpose (All-Season, All-Terrain, etc.). Brandon spent a significant amount of time with me showing me what was available, what would best meet my functionality needs and still provide the look I was after at an affordable price. After helping me narrow down my options and deciding what I wanted, the tires were delivered quickly and I got my vehicle in and out with new "boots" the same day. I can say without question that was a team effort because it took everyone (Brandon, the Tire supplier, and the technician) coordinating and working together to get it accomplished for me. I am incredibly grateful for every single person who helped me and put the effort and care into my vehicle. Thank you all! I will definitely be coming back to this shop.

In October of 2025, I had to get each of my brake pads and rotors replaced so I went to Tuffy in…read moreLewis Center and paid $1,281.90. About a month or so ago, so in late July of 2026, I began hearing a squealing noise from my cars around the undercarriage/tires at inconsistent times. After getting concerned, I took my car to the Honda Germain service center to get the sound checked out. They determined that it was due to "previous installer on pads and rotors installed aftermarket incorrect pad springs and bracket shims causing squeak." The Honda Germain shop stated that they "ended up replacing pads and rotors with Honda OEM ones. Noise went away afterwards on the test drive." I paid $700 for this repair. I can attest that the noise has since disappeared. Since this problems appears to be rooted with my initial service with Tuffy, I returned to ask for compensation since I was still within warranty period and either the incorrect pads were installed or the pads they installed were defective. I explained the situation and asked if there was any possibility of compensation for the $700 I paid and I was met with an immediate and firm rejection. The employee at the counter, Jeff, said that because I took my car to a different shop and not their Tuffy location to get the issue checked out and resolved, the warranty was no longer applicable. I explained that if service was done incorrectly initially or with a defective part, I would not want to get service at that location again. Jeff stated that I have no way to prove that the issue actually was with their servicing and that the part may have just been defective, and that Honda Germain could've just been saying anything to get me to pay. He stated this was a "he said she said" situation and that they could not be held liable if they had not examined the car and determined the problem themselves. While I understand their perspective, I am extremely frustrated at their lack of accountability. Not only did they dismiss my concerns saying that there was nothing wrong with the brake pads they installed and that Honda Germain was just trying to get my money, because there was probably nothing wrong with my car/their servicing, even though I stated I heard a squealing noise and was unsure of where it was coming from and I felt the car could be unsafe to drive, but they also claimed there was "no other part for [my] car" after looking up my service. Even if there was no other "correct" part for my car, the part they installed, that I paid for, was either faulty or incorrect, both of which I feel they should be held accountable for, as I simply took my car to my flagship service center to get an unknown noise checked out and chose to resolve the situation through them instead of the service center I was told completed the initial service incorrectly. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the lack of accountability, unwillingness to listen or reach a compromise, the dismissal of my concerns surround the safety of my car, inability to consider the idea that they may have done something incorrectly, smug attitude, implication that I was foolish for trusting my flagship service center (over them), and the badmouthing of said service center, implying they exaggerated an issue and only wanted my money, for an issue I audibly heard and brought my car in to be checked out for. I highly recommend you do not get any service done at this or any other Tuffy service center, lest they make a mistake, shrug off accountability despite warranties, imply you should have service with them again despite issues stemming from them, and dismiss and all your concerns while making you pay for trustworthy service you had to complete because of their mistakes.
