Phone system gets you an overseas answering service which rings the manager - no answer, they will call back. No call back a day later, ring again and you can leave a voice mail - again no call back. Ring up the technician onsite, who says you should call corporate. After reaching out to customer service at corporate and being re-directed to different departments, finally someone answers their phone and says they can help. Again this sounds like overseas back office contractor. They cannot find the Customer ID number which is printed on my invoice. They said to send an e-mail to the corporate address they provided. No response to the e-mail. Send a backup e-mail a week later, and still no response whatever. I have finally decided to give up on this useless Monro customer service and use Yelp to share my experience. This company only cares about taking your money, and could not care less about working out any problems you may have after their service. Their response tag line is, "We're not in business to disappoint customers" but that is exactly the effect of their customer service process - there is no support provided, and disappointed customers will not bring their business to this company again. The problem is with corporate management cutting costs by taking away customer service. You are much better off patronizing any other company where they might care about keeping their customers happy.

That kind of integrity is why we've stayed loyal for many years. However, there has been a lingering problem that keeps giving me pause, and it has nothing to do with the work that is performed by Tim and his mechanics. It's the woman, who shall remain nameless, who answers the phone that keeps tripping up what should be a smooth, well-oiled experience like it was years ago. Ultimately, getting a direct, straightforward answer from her has proven harder than getting my kids to do their chores, and the tone is about the same, too. There's this steady drip of condescension, as if every question is a personal affront to her. And there are the sighs, the putting on hold, more sighs, and then there is the "Take it or leave it" edict. More than once, I've called needing work done, found myself hanging up mid-conversation, and immediately dialed another shop. In fact, the last couple of times I've called, I didn't even wait for the frustration to build; the moment her voice hit the line, I simply hung up and spared myself the aggravation. There have been times I've asked for clarification or if there was any other availability after she's issued her verdict; it felt like I was stepping out of line and challenging her authority. Which is a strange experience when all I'm trying to do is support a local business and throw money their way. I mean, I get it - it's a busy shop, lots of moving parts...That is not an excuse to be void of a little appreciation, or even a modicum of basic courtesy, which shouldn't be too much to hope for. Tim, I hate that this reflects on your business at all, because you've always been, and I'm sure still are a solid, trustworthy place. Judging by how full your lot is, it's clear you're still a local favorite. All I'm asking is this: please send a little of your empathy and human skills her way. I'm sure she's a perfectly nice woman when she isn't answering the phones, but something changes the moment that line rings, and it's impacting the experience, at least in my opinion, in a way that doesn't match the quality of your work. Hani fit me in the same day charges me short money to completely install, I appreciated that & they took the old tires to boot! Then Hani, who is a complete gentleman btw, took the time to look up my car fax and realized I had not changed the sparks plugs...EVER! I went on to explain that I bought the car almost brand-new in 2019, and I was the second owner of the vehicle. I explained further that my engine was vibrating and I feared it was my Exhaust-Manifold, which was welded by an arch-welder approx. 4 years ago ($700) I was dreading that expense again. Hani urged me to change the spark plugs which were 71,000 miles overdue for replacement, and stated it might stop the vibrating, and it DID! Hani went on to say, I could of ruined my engine-& thats all I had to hear. Hani scheduled me in right away the next morning to install the new spark plugs-which was completed in less than 1 hour. When I drove out of the shop my car felt like it was brand-new again and for that I'm so grateful (God is Good!) I couldn't be happier with the work, the care, and the time spent on my behalf by both Hani and his HILARIOUS Mechanic who also knew this car inside & out. My car is my livelihood and I cannot live w/out it, so I'm here to make sure I send my Blessings & Thanks to this shop whom has earned my trust, ...for now! Roadside assistance was going to charge me too much to tow to my regular mechanic, so I had my Volvo towed here. They charged me almost $800 (which was more than they had told me over the phone, by the way), and when I picked the car up, it was doing the EXACT SAME THING it was doing when I had it towed to them (flashing check engine light and all). I went inside to tell the man that, and he told me that he had put something in the engine to treat it and I just needed to drive it for a while to fix the problem. If it did not, they would be happy to look at it again and charge me even more money. To recap: 1) I paid them almost $800 to diagnose and fix a flashing check engine light; 2) I picked the car up and the problem was not fixed; 3) they told me to drive the car, with a flashing check engine light (I'm no expert, but I can Google and know that it is a bad idea to drive a car with a flashing check engine light); 4) I had to pay a competent (and honest) mechanic to tell me my car had a stuck open valve; and 5) I paid these people a lot of money for nothing, only to need to pay a whole lot more money to fix the real problem. Next time I will know to pay roadside assistance the extra money to keep towing my car past this place.
