Turns out, she was sold the wrong size battery (Thanks, Jenny!!). Jenny was unhelpful and rude stating that it was too cold for them to install the battery. Yes, it was a very cold day (hence needing a new battery) but OReilly advertises free battery installation. Our family uses them for this very reason and have always had a quick, positive experience. I towed it Des Moines, IA to a shop when I later decided to have it junked. I spoke with a guy on the phone who gave me the best price estimate that I could find in Des Moines, and he told me that I could just mail them the title later, as I didn't have it with me and then they would just mail me the check. Most junk yards I spoke with had a problem with me not having the title. I did all of that and low and behold they followed through, was very painless and I'm thankful for all of their help. Saved me a lot of miles driving!

Their "new" booster was a rebuild or worse yet, a mis-manufactured POS. Slave bore was completely oversized, pedal went to floor. Paperwork was generically put in telling to change spring and plugger, which was there. Some Num nuts put 4 nuts, not locking on the studs which would cause the holder out, off the firewall. Really, really disappointed! Plus, I don't like the fact that you have to hold tongue out of the side of your mouth, close one eye to mount the damn things. Napa is supposed to be a "professional" auto parts store. Sow it in your employees know what they're doing- don't leave people waiting at counter when 6 people are BSing in back.

On my recent visit, I went here because I needed a new battery. To be more specific, I just got a jump from my in-laws and was driving on a dead battery. Needless to say, I was planning to change the battery in the parking lot. The sales associate was very helpful finding which battery I wanted to buy. There are many different brands that are rated with different cold cranking amps (CCA). In case you didn't know, as the weather gets colder, it is harder for a battery to function. For example, you've probably noticed that when it's really cold, your car takes a few seconds longer to start or may not start at all! Having a battery with a higher CCA rating such as 800 CCA ensures that the battery will function when it's like ten below zero. The standard rating is 600 CCA. Given our frigid winters here in Iowa, I prefer to buy a battery with at least 800 CCA. After I chose my battery, which was around $120 that included a six year warranty, the sales associate offered to install it for me! This is a great service for individuals who are not familiar with cars. Also, the batteries themselves weight about 40 pounds so having someone lift and install them is very helpful. He grabbed the new battery and put it on a cart with all of the required tools. He wheeled the cart outside, and he changed the battery. He also recommended buying some battery terminal rings, which are green and red cloth discs that go around the terminals. These rings and the associated liquid coating that is applied to the terminals are designed to help reduce discharge. I have used them in the past and decided to use them again. Besides, they are only a couple of bucks! Lastly, the sales associate took my old battery, which will be properly disposed/recycled. Advance Auto also has some great sales every now and then. You don't need the coupons as they have them posted outside the building or along the counter. Lastly, if you are doing any of your own car work in their parking lot, the sales associates are really cool about letting you use their restroom to wash up afterwards. Also, their restroom has that orange, mechanic's soap that gets all of the oil and crud off of your hands! Overall, a great place to buy all of your car parts and accessories!

The staff was personable. The location is clean and well organized. I found what I needed. Just a quick in and out!

There was no crap installed on the car that I was forced to buy which is the normal practice if you get something with no additional markup. He offered to ship it to me but I covered the nose in blue painters tape and drove it home. If I would've had time, I would've had his PPF guy cover the front end. His work looks top notch. Kenneth is a great guy that loves what he does. More importantly, he does everything that he promises, which is very unusual today. He sent me to see Carla Gillotti in finance. She's very nice and low pressure, again, unusual. It was such a great experience. I wanted to help them out, so I agreed to a couple years of prepaid maintenance, stuff that I was gonna pay for anyway at my local Porsche dealer. (I figured I saved at least 10k with the zero mark up) Overall, a fantastic experience, and I cannot recommend them higher. As an old guy, I have purchased approximately 50 cars over my lifetime and I can honestly say this was the best and smoothest transaction I have experienced.
