I ordered a product from Walmart.com that was delivered from the store in Clinton, NJ using a delivery service called Spark. Apparently, this is a Walmart brand delivery company. The Spark driver used Google maps and the GPS system sent him to a totally different street than the one that was on my order. Instead of questioning that something seems wrong, the driver left my package at someone else's house and took a picture of someone else's door. When I called Walmart, both the store and the 1-800 customer service number, both informed me that the package was delivered and no error had been made, and they refused to send out another driver, or track my package, or refund my money. Basically, they said it was now MY problem. They had the audacity to blame Google. Google GPS is not infallible, and sometimes does not always work. This is widely known. This is why HUMAN beings with a brain sometimes need to think before doing something that looks questionable. If a package/order has a delivery address on it and Google takes them somewhere else, that driver should either call the contact number given on the order or take the merchandise back to the store for further clarification. So let this be a warning to anyone ordering online at Walmart. They do not guarantee the accuracy of their delivery service and brainwashed all their employees to make the customer feel guilty about being angry. The low level employees were all super empathetic, but were powerless to help. The managers who do have the power to help had no empathy and continued to push a ridiculous conclusion that they and their deliver driver did nothing wrong. I know Walmart is pretty basic. But, when you have your youngest turning 8 and she wants a party and you want to keep out of multiple stores... they have it all! There was a fantastic selection of unicorn party supplies for our family party... even without all her friends, this day will be special. ALSO... no clue whether they have a new policy but seriously every employee was sooo nice! The lady at the door greeted us with glee, some guy popped out of nowhere and sanitized our cart... another employee randomly asked if I needed help halfway through and the gentleman at checkout was lovely. Today is a split review. electronics personnel did not help their customer. I came in to ask about my phone not working with losing charge. I took automatic off of it so I wouldn't get new 30 days with phone not working. I tried to ask him to switch a phone card over to my previous phone bought there. He was leaving me at times to help other customers... abruptly snapping technical terms at me instead of actually helping get one phone running. then basically telling me I had to get to Wi-Fi to do it myself so making me leave with my 2 unfunctional phones driving home in bad weather and also stated to him I had bad health. He acted as if he simply did not care about helping the customer but expecting me to figure it out myself. My stress and temper went into overdrive and I don't know this technical stuff. I walked around store basically in a daze because I feel that if they work in a department they need to put their customer as their priority and show professionalism not I don't care attitude. This employee should learn customer service. After getting my groceries my cashier was above and beyond. She was super attentive and nice to everyone in her line. The guy in electronics should learn from her. By the way. This is NJ Clinton Walmart and my name should NOT be listed as California location.........!!!!!!!!! read more

Walmarts can vary so much its crazy b/c they are usually pretty standard. This is a older layout compared to the other walmarts but its well taken care of. The place is always clean, neat and orderly. The one I always avoid is in manville or watchung b/c its always like the place is a mess and the people there usually rude. This location is good but if you are looking for the new version of a super walmart, goto the one in flemington, its about 3-4 times bigger than this location with all fresh foods, baked goods etc. I typically do not buy food from walmart so I can't vouch for quality etc. read more

I'm a mom of 3 young children and I used to frequent this location out of pure convenience. Not anymore! From being watched at the checkout like I'm a criminal - (shouldn't the employees recognize me if I'm there many times a week???) to the totally incompetent staff, this Walmart is in terrible need of a personnel upgrade, not just a physical one. Half the time ShopRite in the same complex has better prices anyway. And don't bother trying to price match - even to Walmart's OWN prices online. This location won't do it. read more

I shop there for pure convenience, just because it is close. But went there today in hope that they are done with the renovations and I was stunned. Looks much worse than before, dark, dingy crowded spaces. I think they added more shelf to fit more merchandise and had to squeeze the isles. Terrible. My wife bought me a shirt that I really liked (from a different Walmart) but it wasn't my size, so we went back to that store to exchange it for the right size but they didn't have it, so I called around the area to all the local Walmarts but no one was answering the phone- but Clinton Walmart did! The person who answered the phone was Jessica and she promptly got someone to check if they had the shirt, and she even described it to me over the phone just to make sure it was the right one, and it was, so she put it on hold for us and we drove an hour to the store and she had it waiting for use behind the counter at the customer service desk. I wish other stores could be so helpful like this. The customer service did a great great job tonight at this store! read more

We were there on a Tuesday night and it just felt bizarre, like nothing had changed in decades....even the customers and employees. Its a walmart, they're all pretty spectacular if you ask me. This one is a bit scuzzy. I have been going here for years. Its small compared to all the others in the area, and pretty much a mess most of the time. I am sad they took out the mcdonalds from this location, but sort of relieved at the same time. Not all the workers are the most helpful, the young ones have a bit of an attitude, but thats expected.. its a walmart! I can't expect much! :) read more

I went to the customer service desk to ask a question and I got nothing but attitude from the manager, Elaine. Very unprofessional for a "manager". Another manager came over and answered my question calmly and without attitude which is all I needed. Just because your having a bad day doesn't mean you need to take it out on others. read more

It's Walmart, what do you expect. This particular Walmart is pretty convenient, however the people inside have to be the slowest checkers in history. They also have a pretty terrible baby section - which is surprising for a Walmart. On the other hand, they have a decent garden/outdoors section. They also have a McDonalds inside - which could be a plus or minus. read more

I ordered 25 prints for Christmas cards using the 1 hour service, received the text saying that they were ready, but surprise, when I went to the store to pick them up the kid who worked there said the printer was down all day and wouldn't be fixed for 5 more days. No apology offered. I asked why I got a text telling me that the photos were ready, and he couldn't tell me. read more

As far as Walmarts go, I consider this one of the better ones. This one is a bit smaller than some of the others in the area, but I always find what I need here. Some of the employees, especially the younger cashiers, aren't exactly the most outgoing friendly of people, but I wouldn't be if I was a cashier at Walmart either. For the most part the employees are very friendly and will go out of the way to help you. The pharmacy here is great, and I have used it for many years. There's not much of a food selection here, but with Shop Rite just up the hill there's no need for a big food section. I have been to many Walmarts, from South Jersey to Northern Pennsy, and I do have to say that this one has more of a welcoming feeling than others. And like the other reviewer said, the in-store Mcdonalds is gone, but shortly there will be dunkin Donuts to take it's place. read more

This Walmart usually has what I need. Small grocery section, but I don't usually go there for food. Most of the employees are nice enough.

Always a horrible experience at this store. I've sworn several times to never return, but sometimes in a pinch I need something so I pop in and get disappointed all over again. Staff is typically unfriendly and incompetent, checkouts are inconceivably slow, information is often inaccurate, products are cheap in price because they are cheap in quality. You might think you're saving a few bucks by heading to a Walmart but the amount of angst and frustration will leave you wishing you had just paid the few bucks more elsewhere.
