Just had a terrible experience while shopping at Walmart at the hands of Celeste a cashier and Kattie the store manager. They both refused to sell me an 18 pack of beer, Celeste wouldn't explain to me why until I asked for the manger. When kattie the manager got there the cashier accused me of trying to buy for minors. However I walked in the store by myself. Also, neither of them asked for my ID and would not show me on the cameras where their supposed minors I was buying for where. Katie's customer service and manager skills were terrible, lacking and disappointing. Katie pretty much told me to get out that she had the right to refuse me my service. She was rude and both of them made false accusations about providing to minors without proof. What was so hard about checking the cameras? Also when I went to customer service to write a complaint I found out Kattie is not even the real manager. The people at customer service saw right through the lies and terrible service I received and offered to sell me the beer but I told them I was no longer interested or would be coming back to that store because of my memorable experience with both Celeste and Kattie. I hope that both these women get sent to extra training where they can be educated and learn to be more courteous and have the right skills to work at Walmart. read more

This place is horrible. My mom and I were there yesterday. Disorganized, messy. My mom came out of the store very upset because she was treated very disrespectfully by a cashier, who made her and the customers in line after her wait more than twenty minutes while she fixed her (the cashier's) mistakes that she made with the customer she was helping. My mom said she heard the cashier call her a b*tch under her breath. My mom asked to speak to the manager and the manager reassured her she would talk to the cashier. But my mom walked away feeling that the cashier would probably not have any negative consequences from her actions. My mom is not the type of person to start trouble, so it is very disappointing to see her treated poorly. She didn't want me to go in to the store to talk to anyone. I have never liked Walmart but my mom wanted to go. She and I will never go back. My suggestion is not to go there. Try Target instead. read more

Good place to buy whatever I need. And a great place to save money. Things are messy and checking out is usually slow since they only open a few lanes but I know where everything is now and I just do the self check out there so the negatives don't really affect me besides when I come late and the self checkouts closed. With as many times as I've been here, I'm actually quite surprised that I haven't reviewed this Walmart sooner. In a nutshell, if you've been to one Walmart, you've been to them all. What separates this Walmart from other Walmarts is the fact that the men's restroom here at the main entrance is actually almost always 100 percent clean! Maybe a few paper towels here and there, but it never smells like the cleaning crew went over the floor a few times with a piss soaked mop! Which is good for when you have an emergency sit down head call to do. Or have to bring in one of the little one's with you when they need to go potty. read more

I placed the order and few hours later decided after from experience to call them just to make sure they do carry it. I called a total of 3 different times all with no success in finding out if they carry the item. I gave up and canceled my order. It took me so long to just get in contact with the electronics department. Then I was on hold for electronics someone picked up the phone told me there were other customers before me on hold, i said perfectly fine i can wait.. another minute goes by and the call ends. I call back and now the operator is telling me that the employees are helping other customers. How am i supposed to get helped if they hang up the call i am making? I went to return an item today to the store and they said it was non returnable. They claimed it was a Christmas item and they wouldn't take it back. The receipt says nothing about that, nor did anyone tell me, and there weren't any signs. It's an air hockey table so how is that a Christmas item? It's less than $10, but I'm not happy that I threw that money in the trash, which us where this item will go. I wrote to corporate because I wanted to return this item for a full refund. I have the receipt. I don't think I even got corporate, but general customer service. They referred me back to the store. So I just got the runaround. So disappointed. I can't believe that walmart has such bad customer service that it's willing to piss off a regular customer. I won't be shopping at the store anymore. It's a shame too since I spend a lot of money there. Walmart needs to do something about this. If they have some kind of secret policies in place, then announce it by putting signs everywhere, have the cashiers tell the customer about any exceptions and put in on the receipts. The positive thing about this Walmart is they have self-checkout line and the regular checkout lines are not as long as other Walmarts since they don't have a big grocery department. I'm not sure why but every Walmart I go to never have shopping baskets. Instead, you have to use a shopping cart. I guess they hope you'll buy more stuff pushing a cart. But I actually buy less stuff since I don't feel like pushing a cart and I can only buy what I can hold. So the jokes on them! read more

I processed a exchange with customer service and was helped by a nice girl named Vivian. She was very polite with telling me she was unable to exchange my product. I asked to speak to her manager which didn't take long. When I spoke to the manager she was very understanding about the situation and granted my exchange. Don't try and pick up anything at this store after buying it online. The first time I came to pick up my item, 2 days after I received my confirmation email, they did not have it unloaded since receiving it from the truck. They told me this 30 minutes after waiting. I come back 3 days later, wait for over an hour and they still can't find my order. Absolutely ridiculous and the workers there were entirely lackadaisical. I have never been to a Walmart or any other major retailer that will tell you they are able to make up policies as they go. I purchased some seasonal products from here two days before Christmas. The items that I had remaining that were unused and unopened I came back today to return. I was then told with handmade signs that they refused to accept any returns that were seasonal although they were purchased just seven days ago and I have the receipt. I asked to speak with the customer service manager. I then was greeted by someone who was sent by the manager and was not the manager named Vivian. She stood there and talked to me like a robot constantly repeating "I understand. I'm sorry there's nothing I can do." I asked her why there was a policy that was made up? She said "I understand. There's nothing I can do." She sounded like a robot, it was ridiculous. I then went and told her I wanted her name and her title so I could go ahead and know who to refer to when I called corporate office. She then proceeds to go and get the actual customer service manager. At that point the young lady (Kathleen) tells me that it is the store manager's discretion whether or not they're able to create certain policies that go completely against the actual return policy from corporate. She then volunteered my time money and energy to tell me that I was able to go ahead and drive to the Rosemead location, although I purchased everything here. This is by far the worst experience I've had at Walmart. read more

Walmart has the worst customer service policies that I have ever seen. This corporation cares nothing about its customers. My wife mistakenly picked up the wrong size and we went to exchange it. They are open until midnight, but will only exchanges and returns up to 10:00 PM. So, how is the customer supposed to know this. You take the time in good faith to come and make a simple exchange for a different size not changing the color or anything else, and because it's past 10:00 PM, they won't allow it. But they will easily take your money to purchase another one and come back for a refund tomorrow. This is so stupid. It show that there is no consideration for the customer who keeps them in business. They don't even empower there employees or managers to make simple decisions or exceptions. What's even worse is that they have conditioned there customers to except such poor customer service, and people continue to flock there in droves because they undercut many other stores. It's so unfortunate that these low life retailers can continue to operate and treat the very people who help them exist like crap. I wish enough of us would stop shopping there so they would either have to treat their customers with respect or close their doors forever. read more

I do not like this Walmart at all. I don't like Walmart I prefer Target, but the last time that I came here with my friend was the last time I step foot in there. It is super ghetto and the store looks bad (it's really messy, like if no one pick up anything that's on the floor). Employees are not friendly at all & when we checked our receipt we saw they had charged us the same item twice! I parked my rv in this walmart's parking lot last night...towards the back as to be out of the way and inconspicuous. there were NO 'no camping signs'. in fact, Walmart is known for being a place to safely park an rv at night without being bothered. I ordered something online and went to pick up here because it was in stock. not knowing where to go I asked 2 employees walking by if they knew where I can find a then area and they kept walking, while one said "sorry were on lunch". 1 I didn't know they were off the clock, but what a RUDE manner these girls had. I've worked retail before and have helped plenty customers off the clock or gotten someone else before walking away. This is a review based on store operations. I received a $50 vanilla gift card as a present. I went to the store to make a $4 purchase for a snack at this walmart and the next month the card balance was at zero. I used the self checkout process. Just be aware that there is dishonest employees working at this store. Also this was the only place I've ever used this gift card at. Very disappointed at this walmart' s service standards. CHECK YOUR RECEIPT! Walmart Pharmacy just charged me $42 instead of $4.00 for a prescription on their $4 Prescription Plan that I've been filling with them for 7 years. They were apparently out of the $4 brand so used the $42 brand without telling me; and they had 2 days to fill the prescription. When I called them they told me to come the next day (not telling me to bring in the medication). At Walmart Sunday they said I needed to come back with the medication; that's 3 trips to get my medication. I'm 74y.o., have chronic pain from Fibromyalgia and severe Arthritis, and 3 trips, 1 hr a trip, plus the cost of gas, is ridiculous. Check your receipts before leaving the counter, no matter how long it takes and who is waiting in line. read more

Went in to get a few things and it was chaos (should have known after all it was Sunday). I also don't usually shop at Walmart since it is so far away (about 30 minutes from my house). I was in a hurry and completely overwhelmed by the number of people and size of the store with no real idea of where to get any of the items in my list. Despite how busy it was, there was an available store employee asking how they could help me around every corner (which was greatly appreciated - they must have seen the look of "uh oh, where do I start" on my face. Everyone I encountered was exceptionally helpful and even looked genuinely happy to help despite being a Sunday evening and therefor I would assume the end of another long and busy weekend. All in all be impressed with the customer service. I have always assumed that as prices go down so does customer service....this Walmart is definitely challenging that assumption. I will definitely be back regardless of the drive. read more
