I have been to this Walmart plenty of times before and this is not the first time I came across rude employees here. I bought a costume online and when it came it was missing a piece, So I was talking with customer service online at the Walmart website and I asked if I could get a replacement but they said they couldn't do it because next week was Halloween. And after talking back and forth I was told that I had until November 22nd to return the item, also keep in mind that they say returning stuff is easy but it's really not. So I went to this walmart location and after waiting in a line I bought the costume to the counter and showed my barcode but then I got told they were not taking returns after Halloween and I said that I was told that I can return this until November 22nd and so the lady calls someone on the loudspeaker and after waiting 10 minutes , with a tone she was asking if I got the item in the store and I simply said no and she was telling me that I don't have to be nasty but I'm not I just want to return this thing and go on with my day. Luckily I was able to return the costume and I got the receipt but it didn't have an approval number on it and the lady just wrote down the amount of money I was supposed to be refunded with. So I spoke to the manager and explained my situation with the returning and she was also confused that there was no approval number on the receipt and said I should wait and keep looking at my account for 5 days to see if I got refunded. Luckily not long after that I got refunded my money. I'm still angry about this trip because this is what Walmart does to people, they steal from low income people and they do not want to give you back your money, this honestly might be the last time I go to another Walmart because I can't deal with rude people. Instead of wasting your time at Walmart you should shop at Target instead, it's much easier to return stuff and shop at Target. read more

I'm not a big fan of this store. The parking lot is always crowded and you have to park pretty far away if you care about your car. Inside, there alway seem to be a lot of employees but not many cashiers. The ones stocking the shelves tend to avoid making eye contact with you and the others are usually too busy talking to one another to say hello or ask if you need help. This is the only store around that I know of that carries the dish detergent we like, so every few months I drop in. It's not something I look forward to. I usually put it off until the last possible moment, which is a bad idea because they are not always stocked. I ran in quick yesterday, or intended to be quick anyway. I waited on line for 10+ minutes to buy 2 items. Maybe it's time to find a new dish detergent? read more

I am a regular customer here. The store is very clean and I always find what I am looking for. The prices are so affordable. The pharmacy department is great always helpful and the prices of my medications are significantly cheaper then ANY drugstore. One more thing.... the soda and water machine outside the store is incredibly cheap! 50 cents a drink! Seriously?! That's awesome!! read more

The better of all the Walmart's on Long Island. The only Walmart I would even consider shopping at. Great employees who really keep the store running and clean. Best lawn and garden section I've ever been in. The plants are really cared for and items are truly quality in this section of the store. Worst Walmart in the Northeast. It is Ok if you do not expect to have any customer service.

I usually use the Centereach location. Mainly because this Walmart tends to be a zoo all day. It does not seem to be as organized as the other locations. Most of the cash registers are usually closed. The staff are sometimes friendly and helpful. However I feel there can be more order in the store. This is horrible customer service, a manager STEVE and customer service MIKE were uncooperative and an extremely un helpful in exchanging my powerbeats3 headphones that just stopped working after 3 months, first they stated i had no receipt when walmart is a no recipt policy so i pulled up my debit card account found the date and time pf purchase $145.10 and printed new receipt then they tried saying it was past 90 days nut there store policy stated it was 1 year i have photos and all paper work to prove my claims! Then the manager stated that he could over ride policy but would not because his regional manager KEN WORTHINGTON would then fire him, they were very evasive and back in fourth in not knowing there own policies and makin customer's happy, i did not wish to get money just a new pair of headphones i paid alot of money for to work and use, I ALSO HAVE FULL VIDEO OF THIS THAT WILL BE POSTED TO YOUTUBE, EAST SETAUKET WALMART HAS HORRIBLE EMPLOYEES. We all know Walmart sucks but this one sucks least. It's much better than that Walmart down the street. Situated in a rich neighborhood, there ain't too many gangbangers shopping/loitering here. They actually have aisles so you know where stuff is at. Although it is a small Walmart, it is neat, things are stocked well, and they have mostly what you need. On the flip side though, I don't think this Walmart has an auto center. They also have a starbucks, gamestop, GNC, and KFC nearby. Not the cleanest, not the most organized and certainly not the best selection (by far)

Came to buy a fishing pole. Found one without barcode. Asked an employee, was told to go up to the front and ask for the price because it was the last pole. Went up to the cashier named Mark. As soon as I said this one doesnt have a barcode, he snapped at me and shut me off, saying "you just realized this one doesnt have barcode? There wasnt another pole with a barcode?" Tried to explain, shut me off again. He called Anthony for price check. Mark was rude to two other customers and made me feel extremely uncomfortable by giving attitude. I attempted to explain my side of story (with frustration) and Mark raised his voice again, scaring me. Anthony, the manager, came with a price, apologized on behalf of Mark's ugly attitude, gave us a discount. Thus the two stars for Anthony. read more

Came in for tires, they had the exact ones I wanted in stock... and with just 25 minutes before closing, I offered to come back tomorrow, and the staff insisted on doing it right now... They put the tires on in about 25 minutes... I was in and out in by 5pm!!! I recommend them, and will be back! read more

I am comparing this to the walmart in centereach mainly. This one is newer, neater, cleaner, more organized and usually has less people in it. To the other reviewers: we all know walmart outsources, we all know there is a target less than a mile away. However: We also know Walmart is cheaper 90% of the time than target, that is why we go here. No one is going to walmart because they *want* to, they go here b/c they know it is cheap. I would rather buy things elsewhere- but guess what, the 20$ i will save at walmart is important to me b/c i am poor. read more

Went to this Walmart to buy some Christmas gifts. The manager Teresa assured me they will price match an item and honor a competitors coupon. When I brought in the proper documentation, the assistant manager Alexa not only wouldn't honor the price match or coupon but told me to return everything she doesn't care. I have heard the Walmart stories, even seen the Walmart pictures, but I have never experienced such horrible service! Maybe spending $1100 isn't a lot for that store but for a single mom it is a lot for me, so to be treated like trash was unacceptable. I would never suggest anyone goes to this store, unless you like speaking to dirtbags who call themselves managers. read more

If you are handicapped and need any sort of assistance stay away from this store.This is by far the least handicapped friendly establishment I have ever been too. This is my home town Walmart and they should be embarassed by how they accomadate and interact with people in need of assistance. Most of the time the electronic scooters are not plugged in and are not charged. The 2 regular Wheelchairs with baskets have been broken at least a year now . I brought this to the attention of management 6 months ago and they were never repaired. Instead of fixing them they attached bungee cords to keep them closed. If you are fortunate enough to get a scooter , do not buy very much because you can't take the scooter outside so you need to carry your purchase to your car. I learned this the hard way. I asked for help at the customer service counter and was treated rudely. They seemed as if they were annoyed by my asking and called to get someone to help me who was noticably inconvienced and one of the women literally laughed with the young man who was burdened with helping me. I ended up telling them to forget it and made several tripto my car with my bags. I notified management of this as well. They apologized repeatedly but nothing has changed. I asked for help on another day and was completely ignored. Now I don't go there unless I have someone with me. The staff in general have no manners whatsoever .Always double check the size on the hanger matches the actual item as well as the price matching what the sign advertizing the item is. The place is jus a big mess.The way they treat people in need of assistance is really the worst aspect to me. Again if you are fortunate enough to get a scooter the staff is noticably annoyed if they have to move out of your way so you can get by. I try to get most of what I need at BJ's in the same parking lot. read more

ALL WALMARTS IN LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK! Customer service has taken a dive!! The actual store is a good store, but the staff is another story. I've been shopping there since they've opened on Long Island. What I've noticed is that the staff does allot of talking, gossipping, texting/phone, and complaining on the job. You will find more workers standing around complaining about their hours/job, STANDING AROUND IS THE POINT! I hardly see any management around, and have asked on multiple occasions. I've had other staff jump the checkout line because they had "one thing" to pay for while still on the clock. People don't have a clue what work is, and if they're not actually being watched, it's truly amazing what they get away with. I've shopped at other Walmart's outside of the Island, and they are much better. It seems the staff feels entitled if they actually do the jobs they were hired for! Normally im all about Walmart. I font know if they changed management but this place stunk..literally. ...as soon as you walk in the smell overwhelms you..evidentally they rented a space to a nail salon. It is positioned right next to mcdonalds. Honestly if the smell of french fries grease n burgers wasnt strong enough to cover it...I think youbget the idea. Even so I moved on to grab a few quick items . There were boxes all over the aisles. Blocking the carts in every direction. I actually had to move through the clothing dept to get into the produce and cosmetics sections. They obviously have no regard for customer service either. I asked 2 ppl just tob help me find almond milk.Nobody knew anything. Then the register...that was a trip..4 lights on and one woman standing by optical. I asked her what reg was open and she told me to pick one. I moved to thw closest one and she told me shed have to get someone to help me....while on line after finally someone was swnt over to help me, a person walked upbto another register and that same women went over to ring her up. Ordered a TV online. Got to store in a damaged box that was wet (how that happened...). Was told I would be refunded, but had to reorder the TV and then I could do a next day ship on it so as not to wait again. So, I spent 15 minutes on the phone, ordering a new tv with a rep. When I tracked it, it said it could get here in 2 days - not next day, so that was a lie. It is now 1pm on the second day and it has still not arrived. Should have known better. Yes, it was less expensive, but I paying for it in other ways. Should have just gone to a smaller store and picked it up. read more
