Super annoying! Called multiple stores for screen protectors for my iPad 2. Nobody has them but at least could tell me "NO". When I called this location they told me I need to come in because they don't know if the protectors they have will work or not on my iPad. The employees from the main desk put me on hold two different times and Nobody answered the phone after being on hold for 10 minutes. Finally I get through to the electronics section and the employee is extremely rude and wouldn't go look how much the screen protectors cost. Finally I get him to go check when he realizes the protectors he almost made me come to see the price are not even go an IPad 2!! This is why I stay away from Walmart. Period. read more

Horrible. I ordered 2 bed frames and 2 mattresses from Walmart.com. The order showed arrived and ready for pick up at the Elk Grove Wal Mart on Bruceville. When I went to pick up my order, the service rep named Stacy informed me that one mattress was refunded, one on its way, and the only items available are the 2 bed frames. Heres the catch, the mattress in my name was right in front of me. Their system at walmart.com and walmart were not communicating for whatever reason. I called walmart.com and they said their system shows the order is ready for pick up and no refund was issued, a fourth item is on its way. Walmart on Bruceville would not give me my third item. In the end, the assistant manager Annabil gave me my 3 items but cut my tag off. When my fourth item arrived on the following Wednesday, my wife called to make sure it was ready and the rep there said I (the husbad) already picked up 3 items and one was refunded. There was no freaken refund and i was charged 4 items. What a rip off store. If there system was not communicating, then they need to fix the issue and give me the items i paid for because they have just scammed me. I contacted walmart corporation and spoke to a supervisor. There fix was to re-order a new mattress free of charge. Well now I have to wait another few days. Thanks for wasting my time and not putting a smile on my face. I had the absolute worst customer service at this store yesterday. I was looking forward to going to the new store. Everyone had been talking about how clean and nice it was. I needed to return some clothes that I had purchased at Walmart.com. I was the only person in line. I went up to the woman and she didn't know how to return online purchases. I waited fro 15 minutes while she attempted things on her computer, but couldn't figure it out. In the meantime a line of about 10 people stacked up behind me. She asked me to wait while she helped everyone else in line. After waiting another 15 minutes while she helped everyone else, I finally went on my own and found a manager. When he showed up, he was rude and ALSO didn't know how to return the online items. After another 15 minutes of him digging through my stuff he took everything out of the little plastic bags that they came in with the barcodes on them for return and then said he couldn't return any of the stuff because he didn't know which items were which. I waited in that stupid store for an hour, was treated badly, and still didn't get my money back! I will never go back to that one. I left there and went to the old EG store and was promptly and patiently helped and got all my money back. read more

THIS IS REGARDING THE VISION CENTER. I'm going to preface this saying that I have never written a review in my life, and that the rest of this Walmart is just like any other. However, I have been to this location for the vision center on different occasions, and every time I get the worst customer service imaginable. You are completely ignored the minute you walk in. In a way that makes you feel like they want you to go away. Would recommend going to a different vision center. Worst customer service from customer service manager, Elizabeth, and assistant store manager, Santos. My wife was trying to exchange diapers we received as gifts for our baby shower and they turned her away saying Walmart's policy has ALWAYS been to not accept returns or exchanges without a receipt. Am I missing something cause Walmart's website states otherwise. I later called and spoke with Elizabeth to inform her of what the Walmart websites says and she tells me the website hasn't been updated. Wait, why does it need to be updated if, according to Elizabeth, Walmart's policy has always been to not accept returns or exchanges without a receipt. Anyhow, I asked her for her last name so I could make a compliant to corporate and she refused so I asked to be transferred to the store manger and was transferred to Santos, the assistant store manager, who also refused to give me his last name saying last names are confidential. Really? I can open a phonebook and find someones last name if I wanted to. The customer service I received from both managers were definitely not indicative of how a manager should treat their customers. I'm at awe how these two became managers. read more

I do prefer this Walmart compared to the others in Elk Grove. Less traffic and cashiers are friendly. I do a lot of shopping online and depending on how fast I need it, there are times I chose pick up in store. Now, I do this a lot at Target and other locations as well due to my hectic schedule at times. However, every time I have ordered something online and go to pick it up AFTER I get a notification that my items are ready for pick up...they always have me waiting 20-30 minutes saying my items were not ready. They've asked to see my confirmation and notification and i do both and they always tell me to A.) go shopping or B.) wait for an extra 30 minutes. I've done this a few times thinking maybe it was just the employee at the time or something. I've asked them if they could cancel the transaction and I can go get the items myself from the shelf or if i could just get the items and they tell me no. Because online orders may be cheaper and they can't override it for price adjustment...even if it's the same exact thing (same UPC code too). However, after 4 times I've learned you're better off just going in and getting what you need yourself or do your online shopping and in store pick up at Target. If they fix that this would be a good Walmart to shop and pick up items at. Until they fix this, I doubt I'll be doing any online shopping here and will just opt for Target instead. read more

I bought some Foster Farms chicken on 10/09/2013, a few days after the Foster Farms chicken recall, and asked the meat clerk if the chicken had been checked for recall and he replied that the chicken had been checked and that their chicken was not affected by the recall. I purchased some Foster Farms chicken breasts and brought it home to feed a family of five and as I was cooking the chicken I decided to check the recall numbers and found that I was about to serve my family recalled Sal Manila chicken!!! I'm not sure why the chicken was still being sold after they knew of the recall or why the clerk made such a false statement that could have had horrible repercussions! read more

Only come here because I need to or have time to kill, or need get something quickly, and it's close by. that said walmart the location and how clean they keep it is fine. But my big complain is the self check out. Every god damn time I come here to use the self check out it's always card only, sooo unreliable for customers who have cash and don't want to wait in the line, and want to use the self check out. Than here's the part that pisses me off the day I have a card and I want to use the self check out it says it take cash only, no split payment. the hell is wrong with your machines.!!!!! Fix it!!!! or open more registers, 12 register lanes and only open 2 the hell is wrong with you. But plus side is: It is still a new location, like almost a year old, pretty organized and clean for most part, and still lot better than the elk grove blvd location. Ridiculous. Walmart has an ultra smart inventory system and a website designed to assist customers determine if something is in stock but they don't utilize it. Went to 5 different Walmart's all which said they had the kids tablet in stock but get there and there isn't one. Drove over a 100 miles and after the 4th one even called the store and was told they have two in stock. Get there and there isn't one. What's the point. Don't trust Walmart system. Best thing to do is is bog down there phone lines, call multiple times, ask to speak to managers in advance, and utilize their people resources since Walmart clearly isn't using them to do inventory. Management at these stores is poor and clearly there is no oversight because all the employees keep telling me this is normal try another Walmart maybe. Has to be at least one or two managers who know how to properly and effectively run their store. read more

The only Walmart I'll shop at. (I used to shop at Walmart about once a year before this one opened.) So far it's clean, non-ghetto, decent employees (some are actually downright pleasant), and well stocked. Bought a pair of rain boots for my son and decided to return them with a receipt and no tag. My son didn't even wear them anywhere and we thought we we're going to make use of them but we didn't so why not get my money back. I came in to return them and the Hispanic lady with the glasses at guest service told me since I didn't have the tag I would have go out on the floor and find the one just like it to give to them to return. You've got to me shitting me right?! The boots should have numbers inside, it still is brand new but has no tag and you want to make ME to go get another pair for you guys?! I asked her why can't you look up the numbers and have another worker go get me a pair? You guys work here, it's so inconvenient. She said no, she can't return them unless I go get the other pair. Even Target gets their employees to get the items. There was a line I just went to get them in less than 30 seconds, it just amazes me that they tell their own customers to go get the item when they should be doing their jobs! Im a UC student and ever since this new Walmart open, it has been my favorite place to go shopping. The place is always clean and modern, the shelf's are always stocked, and of course all the employees are nice and happy. Phony 100% Egyptian cotton sheet sets sold under the brand name Better Homes & Gardens and Canopy. The real issue for me is that the sheets are being sold as a rare premium material, which it is not, and the retailer is profiting from fraud. They have been selling these sheets for two years - Welspun has been unable to assure Walmart that the products are 100% Egyptian cotton. I detest being duped. I was hopeful, but skeptical. I have washed them three times in the hopes that they would soften up - they still feel like I am sleeping on burlap. When I return them for a refund, I wish I had some "REAL" bedbugs to add to these "Fake" sheets. read more

I'm not one to complain about stores. I've worked retail and now the stress. But this has happened twice and I'm over giving them the benefit of the doubt. The photo department here is the WORST!! I've order Christmas cards online and when I went to pick them up after getting an email, text, AND phone call saying they are ready it took them over 30 minutes to find. I got frustrated especially when they said it's NOT ready! Even after playing the voice mail from an employee saying it WAS ready!!! I ended up leaving and coming back another day and SAME thing. They couldn't find it for about 30 minutes till FINALLY they found it! I thought ok it's Christmas time they have a lot going on no problem. But just this week I printed only 2 pictures online and once I got yet another email and text that it was ready I went down to pick them up. Again the guy couldn't find it! And used the same excuse that it wasn't ready! Um...I have a text saying it's ready! He again looked everywhere for it and couldn't find it. I was beyond frustrated this time! He ended up just reprinting them!!!!! They need more organization in the photo department and the right hand REALLY needs to know what the left hand is doing!!! I will NOT use this Walmart photo department EVER again!!! Come up with a simple system that ALL your employees can understand and do!!!!!! read more
