Nice small store, they get you through the checkout line quickly. My only complaint is that items are regularly discontinued.

Customer service reps are the worst! From the no personality to zombie like behavior- no help! We just purchased a foam mattress topper for our trailer and Susan questioned if we had opened it or used it even though WE HADN'T LEFT THE STORE! (And she was holding our receipt that had the date and time stamped on it! Really Susan?! We honestly felt like we were in Crazy Town! There was MUCH more, however too much to type! read more

It's decent, I suppose. It's a bit tricky to find regular deli and bakery items, as they are stored in coolers in the grocery section. What I have to really emphasize is that the parking lot is sketchy as hell. Really need to watch your surroundings. read more

I have to say that the prices as expected are really good. Instead of getting gouged in the Grand Canyon, I went to Flagstaff to purchase groceries and boy was it worth it. There are always boxes for restocking cluttering the aisles. I wouldn't mind it if I went in at 3am and it was like that, but it's usually between 5pm and 8pm. I've gone in on several different occasions and required assistance with either finding an item or getting fabric cut for school projects, and each time was a dismal failure on Walmart's part. At 9pm on a school night, don't expect anybody to ever help you with cutting fabric. We had to ask three different employees to have someone meet my girlfriend and I at the fabric table. It took about 20 minutes for some disgruntled old man to come around the corner and bark at us about how understaffed Walmart is (trust us; we know). If you ask a night-stocker if they carry an item, they should know. They're the ones putting the items on the shelves. I don't think I've ever asked an employee where an item was or if they carried something and had them either confidently answer my questions and/or lead me to the exact place where the item is. Most questions I ask the employees result in a slow head-scratch and an "Umm.... (silence) .... I don't think so. Sorry." Check-out times at this Walmart have never been too big of an issue for me, for the rudeness and informal attitudes of the front-end staff is a huge problem. There are a few older ladies who seem generally concerned with how your day is going and try to strike up a bit of friendly conversation with you. I like that. But most of the check-out employees are either neutral and seem to not care about anything, or are outlandishly rude and almost seem to go out of their way to screw with you. One younger guy a few months ago didn't say a single word to me. I swiped my card, completed checking out on the PIN-pad, and then he held out my receipt in his hand and just glared at me without even turning my bags around to me on the stupid carousel they use. Honestly, Walmart's prices aren't even that low. In order to save more than just a penny per item, you'd have to bring in a competitor's store ad and then waste a ton of time figuring out exactly what to buy, how much, if you have the right coupons, and then use your ad in the check-out lane to take forever in order to save a dollar. All grocery stores in Flagstaff (some more than others) will have unbelievable sales on certain items (like four 12-packs of soda for $7) while Walmart's soda will still be four for $12, unless you have an ad. But if you're going to the grocery store to get an ad anyways, why not just buy it there? The money you spend in gasoline to get from that store to Walmart will simply negate any money you save at Walmart. Walmart's prices are literally only a penny or two less than Target's, but even Target nowadays will have BOGO sales on certain items or "Get a free $5 gift card" special on items that you need anyways, like toilet paper or trash bags. And Target typically has cleaner stores, a more knowledgeable staff, and less shady-looking people on the inside. (I don't usually mind how other people look or act, but if you had a choice, would you intentionally choose that?) Walmart's own "Equate" products, in my personal experience, are either pennies cheaper for the identical product or significantly cheaper than the superior product. Example: I use Clear Care contact solution for my eyes and have been for several months now. Clear Care is about $15 for 2 bottles and a case. Equate is about $10 for 2 bottle and a case. I had no problems until I switched to Walmart's Equate version of Clear Care. My eyes were always irritated, dried out, and itchy. The first day I switched back to Clear Care (supposedly "chemically identical" to Equate's product), my eyes were back to normal with no problems. There are always transient-looking people in the parking lot entrances/exits at Walmart and a ton of camping trailer/RVs. I'd select "Private Lot" for Walmart's parking situation, but that's not entirely true. They allow boondocking to go unchecked in their parking lot and they can easily fill up half the lot during the summer. I personally can't stand boondocking in parking lots. It makes you feel like you're going to be robbed when you have to park close to (or next to) what is essentially a mobile hobo camp. Conclusion: Walmart's not as inexpensive as you think it is (its prices are virtually identical to Target's, just without the specials), the stores always feel scatterbrained, dirty, and unorganized, and the employees are nearly all cattle-like simpletons who just walk around and intentionally avoid customers. I only shop there when I'm in need of one essential product (because of the close proximity to my apartment), like body wash or toothpaste. I can't recall the last time I went to Walmart and brought home more than $5-worth of items. The longer I stay in that building, the more likely I am to further my loss of faith in both Walmart and humanity. read more

A Walmart, like any other Walmart. No better, no worse. Visiting from out of town meant picking up basic stuff- toiletries, a couple of packaged pies for munching, and a few other basics. Everything laid out as nicely as needed. It's a 24-hour store, which is great. And there was no line in the evening so sped on by and paying the usual low prices of Walmart. read more

It's Wally World. This one is not a super center. They don't have fresh produce, this Walmart has a ton of foot traffic. The customer service is lackadaisical at best, the folks seem to do enough to say they acknowledged your presence. This store seems dirty, although I think it is just deem lighting. The new Walmart had everything I needed but the people in the parking lot and entrance are aggressive and follow you to your car. Sign holders at the entrance and exits and then when you come out there they are at the front of your car asking you for money. I was so scared last week I took out a whistle in my pocket. I quickly put groceries in the trunk but I was ready to run as distance between us got closer. Row 2 undercover parking. Be careful and check your surroundings and Walmart should do a better job of moving these people on. There are food banks to help. I won't be going back there. read more

Needed phone chargers and my mom needed driving gloves. She swears they help with her arthritis. We were able to get those as well as a few other things. Does one ever leave this place with only what they needed? Outside this place looks nicer than on the Inside. Doesn't look like this is one that has a grocery store, but they do sell liquor and have a Subway. Why don't our grocery stores do this in Texas....sigh Also wish we had Subways in ours instead of McDonalds. It also seems to be a popular place for hunters via all the camo clad folk. Okay, so normally I don't have any problems with any sort of Walmart at all. Except for some reason today there was this older lady working with glasses, and she was questioning my age to why I'm buying alcohol, even though I'm the legal age of 21. She kept interrogating me about my id claiming it to be fake or what not, she kept going on about it and started to eventually bend my id and try to peel at it. I am very frustrated with my experience here, and I have no clue to whether you encourage your workers to have a happy positive attitude towards work, but this lady was just not any of that. In fact, she was even questing me to whether I was with these other group of teens, claiming that I'm buying alcohol for them. In actuality all I was doing was just buying alcohol for my father with whom I'm visiting this lovely state with. Please have this worker reprimanded to some sort of degree, because this is not right in my books. read more

Anyways, I was here earlier today and I never experienced this store so disorganized! For example, ladies clothing someone just tossed in the stationary department. I went to this location at 1 o'clock in the morning to shop for college supplies. I had about $400 of college supplies in my shopping cart. I decided to then head over to the toy department and check out what was on the shelves for fun. I'm a collector. It looked as if the boxes were in front of what I was looking at so I decided to open the box. It was folded shut not taped shut. A woman by the name of Pam, who claim to be an assistant manager at night, at 3:30 in the morning decided to argue with me about opening the box. I told her to open the box she didn't want to and said she was busy and I informed her that she was busy arguing with me. It takes seconds to open a box for a customer that's about to spend $400 in your store. I will becalling corporate. She then had Christopher who was walking next to her open the box. All of that fighting she had something up her but I don't know. I told her to loosen up because it was 4 o'clock in the morning and I did not need to go through the crap that she was putting me through. I would like somebody to contact me back. read more

This is no superstore. It's not even super. In fact it's not even average. Save time and gasoline and try your luck at the Huntington store. You might find what you need there. This store seems to be poorly managed and is just a haven for pan handlers in the parking lot waiting for disappointed customers to come out. read more

This Walmart is a great location and very helpful and very clean and organized during the early days as in the a.m. our helpful people everywhere if you can't find it at Walmart then you get someone to help you are the probably if you look to your left or to your right there's probably a Walmart associate within an arms reach away to help you, The bathrooms are not very clean so they need a little bit a help in this department to have someone check up on them a little bit more better but other than that they're very helpful now when it comes to the evening hour they seem to put out stock a little bit early I would say they're at they start to bring the pallets on the floor and they block every aisle practically they're everywhere there's many many pallets everywhere blocking the main aisles you have to go up like a hoe I'll down just to get around to another to get to the isle you really need to get down to it's pretty messy it's very on organized and very chaotic to have these palettes everywhere all over the store it's doesn't make it a very quick and efficient shopping to be a mess like that so I would definitely avoid the store in the evening hours because it turns into a big mess I would think they should start to do that after 10 or 11 o'clock but this is a store that's that's open 24 hours and being really close to the NIU campus they should not do that this find a better time to do this specially as busy as it gets in there about who am I to complain they're never going to change it I'm sure of it. read more

DANGEROUS PARKING LOT FOR WOMEN ANS CHILDREN My wife and 5 month old cold were harassed and so frightened in the parking lot so bad they had to set the panic button of my truck off to scare off two homeless men trying to harass her and get into the truck, 15 feet from the front door The two men were waiting right outside the front doors walking from single women to old men harassing them for money for alcohol. One worked as the look out and the other as the aggressor. When we pulled up I noticed the men waiting around but all the Walmart employees just walking by them. I warned her to keep a her eyes open as they looked suspicious. Sure enough 15 seconds after I walked into the store they approached. Had they not ran when she hit the panic button completely terrified and they were still to be seen the blood of their bodies would be on Walmarts hands as it is obviois the store promotes this behavior on their property. read more

I am a traveling nurse here in flagstaff for 3 months. I can,t believe these reviews. I appreciate when I am traveling around that I can stop at walmart and have a safe place for over night. I am not weird, or a vagrant. I went to the walmart x2 since I have been here, I certainly have found nothing strange about the customers or staff. I imagine a store as busy as walmart is stocking items all day long, I would rather have the item on the shelf and deal with a few boxes. There is nothing "scary" about this store. Worst Walmart I have ever been into. Went to find some sweaters because drove from Tucson where it was 80 degrees and it was 30 degrees in Flagstaff. Almost no sweaters and the excuse the staff gave me was that it was not the season for it. Okay, it makes sense so, then I went to the sporting goods store to the outdoors area to find thermal shirts since I have purchased that item in other walmarts. When I can't find one, I go to the cashier in the sporting goods store and when I ask for help, she tells me that she is off!, I ask if she can at least call someone to help me and she walks off with an attitude. I wait for about 5 minutes and see another employee. He tells me he doesn't work in that section and he will find someone from the sporting section. While waiting, I see a knife that I want to buy so, I stop another employee and ask him if he can give me a knife that I want to purchase. He tells me that the person with the keys comes in at 0730. I immediately replied that it was 0745, his reply was: "Well, he's running late" and walks off! I have never seen so many unprofessional persons working in the same place. this is the worst walmart in the state of arizona. this store has about 5 checkout lanes but only keep one open....all the time. they have self checkouts that they expect everyone to use, but it is not convenient if you have a basket full of groceries. it boggles one's mind to see only one checkout stand open when 10-15 employees are sitting in the breakroom. if you do not believe me, go to the back of the store where the restrooms are located, and look into the breakroom. this wallmart is not managed by the best and the brightest. do not go to this store, instead go to the walmart located on the east side of flagstaff. there are about 15 lanes in this walmart and they are always open, plus the workers are friendlier and seem to be much more edcuated and motivated than the store at woodlands village. if you want to do a study on a walart store that is poorly run, then go the woodlands village location. i have no idea how this store is going to survive when the college dorms open across the street with 500+ students. read more
