I came in for a simple trip--just a few items--and was met with a store that seemed to have completely given up on its customers. Every single register and self-checkout on the first floor was shut down. No staff, no machines, nothing. I was forced to trek to the second level just to find a way to pay for my items. When I finally got there, the only thing available was self-checkout, and because the rest of the store was essentially closed, the line stretched on forever. It is pathetic that a major retailer expects its customers to hunt through multiple floors just to find a functioning terminal. I don't work here. I am not on the payroll. Yet, Target expects me to do the labor of checking myself out after waiting in a line that management clearly doesn't care about fixing. The lack of staffing and the complete disregard for a customer's time is a glaring weakness in how this location is run. You are failing at the most basic requirement of a retail business: letting people buy things. This needs to be addressed ASAP because the current "service" is non-existent.

The modern part. But, alas, is closed.

As a former associate of this store and my boyfriend is a dept mgr in this store i'm gonna say it sucks!!! I am aware of why.. They WONT hire people. My boyfriend is the hardest worker here ready to drop what he is doing and run to a customer if they need help. But they are so under staffed its not even funny. Not only that the store mgr and ass mgrs do not care for the health of their associates. My boyfriends friend is also a dpt mgr and he has been there since 7 last night. It is now almost 3 in the afternoon. They give my boyfriend these crazy hours too. He has had a few hours sleep in the past 3 days. Granted they are given more responsibilities but this can't be healthy for them. Too much to type but there is more. When I worked there the store was ranked #1. Bad management!! Walmart is the third worst store in the area (the worse ones are Market Basket and Best Buy). Although they have some deals here and there, I find that I am better off buying nonperishable stuff at CVS when they put something on sale. I find that a lot of the other stuff that is related to a grocery store can be had at roughly the same price over at Hannaford. Electronics items are pricey relative to the internet, but I have to say that its still better than Best Buy. I find that clothes purchased here tends to not last as long as compared to many other stores despite being at a cheap price and I'm better off cashing in credit card rewards for LL Bean giftcards and shopping at the LL Bean Outlet for that. read more
