One of the most crowded Wal marts in the island. The parking can get pretty ridiculous despite having a rather large lot. Very popular spot for everyone north of Pearl City. Definitely one of my favorite stores to get all my goods in one place. Honestly I even do my dry food shopping here because of the lower prices. And since Babies R Us has been gone, this is my go to for my kids needs. Fairly clean and the customer service is pretty good too. Always have been greeted and sent off with a smile. There is always someone nearby to answer any questions. And they got a bunch of those buttons all over the place to call for help which is great. read more

Imagine this, it's the big 10 for your son, you stop at Wal-Mart on the way home from work for that special birthday gift. A 10 year old boy, an electric scooter that goes 10mph...perfect, right? Oh and don't forget, it is a little pricey considering it's coming from the "toy" section, $161.26 So you take the thing home and keep it hidden in your trunk for a little while so you can start that special birthday dinner. You send your son out to play so you can sneak the gift in the house, downstairs in the guest bedroom. The entire evening is going well, he had his favorite dinner, a fun cupcake in the face session and a delicious cake. So now time for the gifts. He opens a few cards and small gifts. Maybe it's because I know where everything is and to me it's not cosmetic features are up to par. They always have stock for items and workers are friendly here. Ive never experienced any issues at this location. Put it this way, if I live in another town or city, I'd still drive to this location regardless if there's one nearby. read more

Buy supplies to make lots of Graduation Lei. 99 cents adult slippers/flip flops Beach towels for $6 something. Foldable activity or homework table, chairs Easy to assemble kids book stand Son's soccer cleats, shoes and slippers for under $10. $5 boys shorts that last a long time. $4.98 pair of water shoes Various pill cutters for half pill prescriptions Cheaper fever medicines Once in a while I will find cheaper diapers and wipes cost per unit. It's an automatic that when shopping at Walmart for food supply, they won't have what you are looking for in stock. Prices are great, so this is usually the first place I will check for items in need. I love the items they sell for cake decorating, I can hang around this section most of my visit. I appreciate the low prices, and how tidy they try to keep the store despite the uncontrollable crowds. I have to add that the electronic/photo department is quite disappointing. I usually have to look around for a worker and by then, they don't seem quite happy to had been interrupted. I love the prices, and will always be a Walmart return customer. read more

I believe Mililani Walmart was the first Walmart to appear in Hawaii alone. I remember when it was brand spanking new... I must've been ~3 years old. My dad would bring me here to browse and sometimes let me pick out a toy from the toy department! This Walmart location is significantly less crowded than the other location that I frequent (Keeamoku Walmart). Located right next to the Town Center of Mililani, there is a large parking lot, so Parking is hardly ever a problem. Since Mililani Walmart has a lower volume of customers, I find that more of their products are more readily available for purchase. Shelves are more full. This location also has a garden section where you can purchase small plants... a lot of their seasonal merchandise is also placed there as well. I don't think I've ever had a problem with any of the employees, but like any Walmart, they are famous for ringing up purchases wrong. I recently purchased two curtain rods and two sets of curtain hooks. When I got home, I didn't realize that each rod already came with it's own set of hooks. When I went back to make the return the next day, the associate doing my return pointed out that I was only rung up for ONE set of hooks! I thought that was rather odd so I reexamined the receipt. The original cashier had rung up THREE rods and one set of hooks! When I pointed out the error, the associate was nice about it and gave me the correct refund. No apology, though. My update today comes at the hands of a Hyperion dashboard camera that I purchased from this location a short time ago, the thing is over $60 and I decided that buying a more expensive camera would be good. In its time it did serve a good cause, I was hit by a vehicle and ended up on the news. The dash camera footage was a leading factor in the lane lines on Farrington Highway being repainted. However! Today we were driving into town and this things charger caught on fricken fire!! YES FIRE! AS IN THE HOT STUFF THAT COMES OUT OF A LIGHTER! Foof! $60 product gone. Was trying to get sporting goods for something I needed right away. Got transferred four times to no one and then waited over thirty minutes for someone to pick the phone back up. Here's a screen shot of how long I was on hold before I finally hung up. Walmart has good prices, but the customer service and awareness of customers is to be desired. My daughters also waited in person at the store for the same amount of time. Perhaps some training and the store would be top notch. So two stars for customer service and higher rating for prices and products. read more

3rd Place- The Smart One While I notice the very huge parking to be a nice convenience, it is also a hassle to have to drive up and down its long narrow driveways if theres no open spots. This location also feels smaller in capacity size than the other ones, just slightly. I do like how some of the plants are chillin outside the garden store, especially the ones that really need sunlight, yes I browse these sometimes, mostly the fresh herb plants, cheaper than the ones gruesomely suffocating and its severed stems, humilated, and sold for double the price at grocers. They also hold outdoor events here at this location sometimes. One time it was like food trucks of some sort and a spin the wheel thing. I would think theres been lots of employee turnover at this location so service and experiences may be different from what it was long ago, good and bad. I do think this location has the best electronic sections out of all 6 wal mart locations because of the variety, updated products, and im impressed with the knowledge of the workers there are on point as they are capable of answering my sophisticated technological questions with ease and finesse.(at least this was the case when I made a stop there in a few months ago in the afternoon.) The other good thing I like about this location is the store layout. In-a-hurry-shoppers take note: If you park near the garden area, most of the times theres more open spots and closer to enter the store from the garden area. That backdoor entrance leads directly to the money services area, which is much further if you enter the main front side, and more importantly it leads to the milk and food section, quick and easy exit strategy if your in a hurry to beat the rush as there are checkouts on the way out as well. All in all, a good location, slightly a bit more convenient and pleasant shopping experiences edging Kapolei out for 3rd place. read more

I must compliment this walmart for their handicap scooters, wheelchairs all ready to go for those of you who are handicapped all ready at the front of the stores along the wall by the eye pharmacy for the scooters and their wheelchairs located in the front of their self check out counters. I notice that if the scooters needs to be charged they have a sign in there basket says charging and when its fully charged it said fully charged. That's great because some stores just leave their scooters plugged in and when you want to use them it's not fully charged and when you do your shopping you get stuck in their aisles. Walmart mililani great accommodations for us handicap people. Keep it up you put other stores to shame. You know how to take care of the handicap. Hopefully other stores will follow your concern to the seniors who are handicapped. read more

The usual walmart. Lots of people, its loud, shelfs are sometimes unorganized and long cashier lines. You will find almost everything that you may need there though, at a cheap price 24 hours a day. Sometimes I don't even need to buy anything. After getting a drink from starbucks or maybe we're just at the plaza my wife and I are just like "Lets go to walmart and look around!?, Yeah!" I doubt we are the only one that do this. Haha I wouldn't buy any games here though as most are sold at the new released price of $60 dollars, even when the game has already been released for a while. A lot of the games there you can find a lot cheaper online as well like amazon, or even facebook marketplace. By the way be careful where you park your car. A great place to pick up needed car supplies for a do it your self oil change! Prices for car oil, air filters and car oil filter were much cheaper than at O'Riley Auto Parts. The only hope I have is that the electronic box that helps determine which type of filters you need was not working. So thank God for my Iphone to research the correct type of filters and oil needed for my vehicle. We came in shopping around 6pm but another thing that Walmart could work on is having staff members that knew what they were doing, or were at least able to give car advice and knowledge. We were able to pay quickly paying and exerting in the garden section, located in the back end of the store...much more convenient than walking towards the front and paying in the long lines :) read more

Waited 20 minutes to use my gift card at the self checkout. Don't know why the system said it needed a manager. Waited then the manager came and I had to move to a regular register and she had trouble too. It finally worked after she called someone else. They clearly don't know how to redeem gift cards at Walmart even though they sell them. So sad. The best part is that the ice cream melted when I got home. read more

If I could give no stars I would. This is my home Walmart which I am loyal to until today. I went in to by a gift card which gets rung up and the receipt shows the total along with the gift card though the price of the gift is shown as minuses out on another though mind you I have already paid for it. The cashier is confused and rightfully so she seeks out a manager who turns out to be this young kid who looks like he just grade Mililani high maybe last year and together they figure out the confusing receipt appears that way because the gift card is invalid and can't be activated which is a vendor error. And of course the refund back to my card will be in 7-10 days but in the mean time, I still need a gift card which I need to pay for again which is total bullshitso I ask to speak to a grown up, the store manager and enters stage left useless man number 2 who states you can just call your bank and ask them to push your refund through. I asked him if he realized it was 4pm on a Friday. Needless to say....my loyalties are gone. I went to longs and bought the gift card . Walmart, you don't get my money anymore! read more

I shopped at Wal-Mart yesterday and saw something that just caught my eye. It was a nicely boxed pie that I originally thought was pumpkin but, in fact, was a sweet potato pie. I looked closer and noticed that it was the Patti La Belle brand and under $5. I know from having watched many afternoon TV shows that La Belle is a serious cook (along with her famous entertainment career.) So I decided to give it a try. The pie is about 8 inches in diameter so it can definitely feed at least 4 hearty portions. The directions on the box recommended placing the pie in the oven for 10-20 minutes at 300 degrees F. So I went 15 minutes. The pie was warm but not hot. If you want it hot I'm thinking closer to 30 minutes. Even while the pie was in the oven I could smell the spices and the crust which made me reminiscent of my younger days watching my mother bake pies in our kitchen . It was very nice, I'm thinking it would be wonderful on a cold winter's morning with hot coffee. I had to cover the pie with a foil to keep the crust from over darkening. From the first bite to the last I could taste the cinnamon and butter mixed into the sweet potato. I expected it to taste more like a pumpkin pie but the sweet potato flavor came right through. This was the first time that I ever ate such a pie so I have no reference to compare. I will say that I am not at all disappointed. This Patti La Belle pie hit the spot and I can recommend this to everyone. Hope you give it a try! read more

Walmart in Mililani is walking distance to the Town Center of Mililani. I stepped foot into the store on a Friday afternoon with my mom and my tall kid sister. I didn't get a chance to browse around as much as I wanted to. I did take notice that there is a McDonald's located inside. My family went to Walmart because my mom wanted to purchase a picture frame. The 4×6 was too small for the picture. She picked up a 5×7 picture frame. On the way towards the checkout counter I spotted some comforters. I noticed there was a 2 piece comforter set and my mom noticed a single comforter. I was price checking the items since I need a new comforter for home. As we reached the checkout counter we noticed there was the self checkout as well as the ones operated by the cashiers. Mom opted to stand in line and wait for the cashier to help her out. She paid with cash. I personally would have tried the self checkout counter if I were paying with a credit card. Next time I'm in Mililani I want to browse every single aisle of this Walmart. 6/100 read more

Was in the area and needed to return some items that was purchased at another store. The ladies at customer service were friendly, quick and efficient. Decided to look around and see what this Walmart had (as we all know that certain stores carry things that others don't) and was pleased with their souvenir selection as well as their plus size bathing suits. As I rounded corners and came in contact with employees they greeted me and asked if I was finding everything okay or if I needed any assistance finding something. At self check out the lady was there to assist me when I needed help getting something to scan. I go to Walmart for a lot of my needs but today they were very disrespectful, enough for me to write this review. I have my 16 year old niece with me shopping. We had candy, drainx, plastic containers, jello and Smirnoff. I pulled the Smirnoff off the shelf, it was in my hands the WHOLE ENTIRE TIME! THE WHOLE TIME! The only time it left my hands was when it was placed on the conveyer belt. My niece then followed me, carrying the candy and drainx. After everything was placed, they blatantly told me that I couldn't make my purchase. When I asked why, they said it was because I had a minor next to me. I told them that I was the one who was carrying the liquor the whole time. They still refused to let me make my purchase. They didn't card me either. I literally just left all the stuff I wanted to purchase on the conveyer belt and walked out. How dare you try to accuse me of purchasing liquor for a minor! I called the assistant manager Joyce after to explain my situation. She agreed with me, and stated as long as she didn't touch the alcohol there shouldn't have been a problem. Well, Walmart is Walmart. What can I say? We go here for its convenience and rollback specials. It's always busy at this location, and it shows as the shelves are often empty. And recently I've noticed many opened items with contents missing. I once had to get some Capri Sun and only a few boxes were in tact, while the others were ripped open and missing a few juice packs. Sad! Toiletries, household items, booze, and canned foods are worth buying here if you don't feel like getting it in bulk at Costco. Dollar for dollar, the prices are comparable and you don't get stuck with 100000 rolls of paper towel or vats of tomato sauce. Lol! But booze is almost always cheaper...especially the spirits and non-green bottled beers. In any case, we will always frequent Walmart since it's nearby. The cashier lines are a little slow, but the ladies are quite friendly. The self-checkout is a pain IMO but it is an option. Will be back again and again. read more

This is definitely my least favorite Walmart (well, after the keeamoku location). It's sad though. I've been coming here since they first opened when I was little. I used to love this Walmart but it has definitely gone downhill in the last couple years. Probably the one thing that irritates me the MOST about this Walmart is that it is always out of stock of what I need. So many times I've come and the shelves are absolutely BARE. How do you run out of powdered sugar or cardstock or certain shampoos or any succulents that ARENT half dead already?! Ridiculous. Granted that problem probably is due to 1. Being way under staffed. 2. Being crowded with incredibly RUDE customers. Idk why they only have 1 out of the 4 registers in the garden open and a line of customers wrapping around to the inside of the store. Also, if you ever need help just forget about it because it is so hard to find anyone (especially in electronics). Also this store is ridiculously packed all the time. I know that a lot of people are moving and reproducing and what not, but they don't need to be so darn rude each time they go to the store. Clean, Quick, McDs inside, and easy returns. Not many, cuckoo birds and crackys at this Walmart. I have had the easiest time finding things and the shelves are almost always stocked. I have even found shorts that lasted me seriously 5 years, yes, I said 5 years. Yes, I said I wore the same shorts for about 5 years from Walmart. Ok, stop reading it over again. I have always said that this is one of the cleaner, most helpful, and stocked Walmarts I have been to on the island. As far as parking goes, as long as you don't mind walking a little, there is always parking. Some Walmarts take an extra 15 minutes just to find a parking stall. I like that they added the "grocery" area with fresh fruits and veggies. That makes things a little easier if you need ONE tomato or a bag of onions. You know how that goes when you have to make ANOTHER stop. This is a Walmart just like any other Walmart here on the island. Though it does get points for being the first one in the state. However the customer service pretty much stink! The woman who works in the jewelry section doesn't even want to help me. I asked if she could help me set my watch that I wanted to buy and she told me just to read the instructions! And than when I wanted to buy the watch she didn't even want to ring me up at her cash register! She told me to go to the set check out line!! I also went to the DVD section and there was throw up on the ground! My dad actually slid on it! I had to go hunt down someone to clean it up! They really need to have employees around. Bother than that they have a lot of merchandise but I think I would rather go to target. At least there they will match online prices! I tried to match a DVD price from target with the ad and the casher fought me on it! I told her that I meet the requirements cause I brought the target ad with the price!! Great prices, great cashiers, great staff management. But greedy corporate management should consider closing the store. Or start your restocking crew later. Why? Because it'll allow the staff time to replenish the store. If I shop store after 10:00 pm, I encounter pallets and a stacks of merchandise in the aisle and many times blocking it. It's very frustrating and an inconvenience for customers to navigate through the maze of pallets of merchandise. By the way it's also a potential accident waiting to happen.
