Even for Walmart this one is pretty bad. If you only need a few items you either want to go really early or very late, otherwise you will be in line for 30 minutes just to buy milk for 25 cents less than the store you could just pop into. I've used this place for buying concert tickets at ticketmaster and even then the service was marginal at best. I avoid Walmart whenever possible. read more

The employees here are rude my boyfriend and i went shopping and we were outside waiting for out neighbor who is Handicapped to help her get out of her lyft and in a cart i was helping her why he watched the cart he turned his back for a quick second and somebody stole something out of our cart in the front right under a camera so my boyfriend went inside to ask them if they could look on the camera so he went to self check out to ask the lady working there if she could call a manager she said sorry go to customer service so we did another employee should us the 2 manager's that were working there we went up to one of them in a yellow vest we explained to her what happend and she was gonna just refund us but as she was gonna refund us the lady in a blue vest who was the "manager" told her no we can't do that and to call the manager in charge he took 7 mins to get to us then the lady in the blue vest took him in the back said something to him then we told him about it and he said well sorry that happend but we can not do anything about it you would need to call the police and make a report then they can come look at the cameras all they want and he said i can ring another up for you and he did and we wasted more money to but another one i think this is bull crap cause the outside where the doors are is still their property it this happen in the parking lot then it would make more sence read more

Ok, I confess, I'm guilty... I used to shop at Walmart! But come on, I was a poor student, and I lived nearby: that's a good excuse, right? Anyway, this Walmart location on a Saturday afternoon is what I imagine Hell to be like. Seriously, walking in there when it's packed with all the Mountain-View 5-kid families gives me the urge to buy a gun and kill everyone there. Very unpleasant experience... a euphemism of course. As for the store, it's just another Walmart: you know, half of the employees don't speak a word of English, the other half is completely useless when it comes to helping you find an item. The lines are long, and I always seem to end up in line right behind the coupon queen, who pulls out 25 coupons out her purse, making the check out process yet slower if that was possible. Or behind that non-English-speaking Chinese woman trying to argue with the non-English-speaking Mexican cashier that the bottle of conditioner she's buying was advertised for $2.99 and not $3.45 as the cash register says it costs. Oh and I'm not mentioning the countless times someone stole my cart in the middle of my shopping! Simply Hell. read more

I like the physical store most of the time, but I have had a pretty difficult experience with their over-the-phone customer service. My boyfriend ordered a bike online and wanted to speak to the bicycle department to see if they could assemble the bike before pick up. In the past week he has called Walmart over 15 times. Sometimes the phone just rings forever and no one picks up. At other times he gets the operator, who will listen for 2 seconds and transfer him to the bicycle department, which apparently is never staffed because no one ever picks up the phone. After the phone rings for about 5 minutes, he gets transferred back to the operator. When he tries to explain that he can't reach anyone in the bicycle department, they will immediately transfer him again without listening to the rest of his sentence. It's like a never-ending cycle of being transferred back and forth again and never being able to actually speak to anyone. In the end we had to physically drive to Walmart just so we could speak with someone, and even then we weren't able to talk to anyone from the bicycle department specifically - only a customer service agent. read more

If there was a negative star I would put it so I was shopping in yesterday which is the date of May 9, 2019 I was looking for a face wash and I am not racist by any means I then saw a African-American Walmart staff who then asked are you going to get something from behind the glass With an attitude sort of there was also a white customer beside me who wanted to get the same face wash as me she then grabbed the face wash for the white customer and gave it to her when I have been shopping here for almost over 18 years and I know that they are not supposed to give you the product you are supposed to pay the product next to the make up department she let you he customer go and as soon as she got my products out of the glass she put them in her pocket with an attitude there was another customer I don't know her race but she look like she was Indian and was getting a face wash as well she grabbed her product and even put the products inside her shopping cart and said have a good day!! She then grabbed my products slammed the on the cashier table next to the make up department! I then asked her politely what was the difference between me and the other customers as As to why she let them go with their products and I have to pay for my product at the table as if I was going to steal them with my mother there her response was "they're going to pay for it" with an attitude that was not OK she was discriminating me because I was Mexican and not only she discriminate me personally but she discriminated me with other customers around me she didn't even bother to apologize and walked away with a smirk on her face I don't know if she's been treating Hispanics like that and thinking that it's OK but is not OK and I hope management does something about this because I am not only going to review this on Yelp but I'm going to send a personal handwritten letter to the Walmart company she thought it was right with with what she was saying! The online to store pick-up at Walmart is horrible! Because of this experience, I am vowing to never buy anything online from Walmart ever again. My F got an email saying his furniture was ready for pick-up. On a Friday evening, we showed up at Walmart and gave them the slip of paper with our products, while also stating that we wanted to return the file cabinet and just take the linen cabinet. The guy comes back out with a file cabinet and we tell him no, this is what we want returned on the credit card. He says okay, goes back inside and comes back out empty-handed. "What's your last name again?" F: "A-B-C-D-E". "Okay." The guy goes back, after 10 minutes, comes out empty handed once again. There's also another customer waiting, so this poor customer, who already has his goods, has to wait till the incompetent dude named L.B. had to go search for our linen cabinet. We told L.B. to just let the guy pay for his stuff and leave, since there's no point wasting everyone's time. L.B. comes back out again, "is your last name B-C-F-G-A?" "No, it's A-B-C-D-E (at a slower pace)." After another 10-15 minutes, he comes back out saying he still can't find it and that it's probably still in the truck (unloaded). Seriously now, does it really take 30+ minutes to figure that out? Now you're thinking, why didn't you just walk away? Well, incompetent L.B. already charged this on the card and now we needed a refund, but that means we'll have to reorder again since the item is in the truck and will be sent back. We walk to the Refund section and the workers there couldn't figure out how to return an item that was charged but does not exist. Of course it's against the rules to charge a customer's card before the item is physically in it's prescence. So "genius" L.B. decides to blame the charge on poor innocent Eddy, who was supposed to be on his break at the moment. Oh, the injustice! Anyway, after a couple tries and getting the head honcho of Returns/Refunds to try it out, the money has been refunded back into the credit card. But now another dilemma is that we now wasted 45 minutes of our life waiting for an invisible item and will have to potentally order again. The next day, the F gets a phone call from Walmart asking if we really wanted to return our linen cabinet. When we asked if it was available to pick up right now, he says yes, but that he's leaving right now so we'll have to come back the next day. WTH? The next-next day, we go to Walmart, give them the slip of paper saying we want the linen cabinet. Lo and behold, it is FINALLY there! wewt ~ and it only took an entire weekend for those incompetent workers to find us the cabinet we ordered. Of course I go to corporate and file a complaint about all this... to my dismay, all they could say is they're sorry (I was hoping for a giftcard so at least I could get something in return for wasting 45+ minutes of my life on absolutely nothing). At the same time we ordered the linen cabinet, I had also ordered a desk. It was supposed to arrive by 9/28, it's currently 9/28... I wrote a complaint email (again) and still no sign of it. All I want to do is return it! So that marks another reason why I am a Target fan... read more

The deals Walmart had during this Black Friday were excellent. I spent several hours comparing prices and offers to the ones other stores had and Walmart was the best option. Not only that, the one hour guaranteed offers made the most coveted items available to anyone -- no going home empty-handed this time. I got there at 530 pm and by 7 pm I was already done buying the electronics I wanted. Even though I could not take home all the items I bought I could still get a voucher along with the promise to get them delivered before Christmas. Walmart's great deals and amazing organization was the key to a fantastic Black Friday. read more

Came here for what was supposed to be a quick stop; I was on my way to adopt a kitten and needed various pet supplies. Parking isn't great, I had to park a bit farther than I would have liked while navigating around all these slow people. Once inside, I grabbed a cart, the worst cart in the entire world! The front left wheel was locked because something had tangled it, I managed to force it to the pet section before completely ditching it, at least I worked out those arm muscles... I found the few things I needed and made my way to the register only to find huge lines at EVERY single register. Fine, I'm patient, I'll wait for the 20 items or less register. A few minutes later, an employee opens up the register on the other side and takes the people right behind me! No courtesy by taking the very next person, siiiiigh, so me and my 3 items waited more. My cashier was slow and I was growing very impatient, finally got checked out and she almost forgot to give me my receipt after trying to bag the huge litter box which (I thought) obviously didn't need a bag... That wasn't even the worst part. After my whole shopping ordeal, I swiftly walked to my car to be harassed by another shopper. NO! I do NOT want to give you my name or number or anything else! This guy would not leave me alone and followed me to my car and tried to talk to me through my closed window. What part of I don't give out my information and I have to go don't you understand?! Almost ran him over on my way out. Thank god, it was daylight in a very public parking lot. I am never coming here again. read more

I was so very sad to see two fish tanks with multiple dead fish! It was truly awful. If you're going to sell pets, at least take the best care of them that you can. Removing the deceased fish is a good sanitary place to start. Sad day. Also, their plant section was quite barren. They have no indoor plants, even though all of their Christmas decorations are (already!) out. Um, holly... Norfolk Pines, Poinsettia, anything? Nope, just fake black trees. I have recently moved to the peninsula area. Checking out all the high prices at the other stores for items I have continually done a good load of my shopping overthe years at Walmart. The prices are so much higher at the other stores that I will not mention on this review. It is a shame in this area there is only one Walmart available. All I needed was a new mouse for my computer and a mini cupcake tray for my little sister. Getting into the parking lot I had anticipated that the lot would be busy and I was right, but even so, I wasn't ready for the left over carts blocking empty spaces; I can't blame the terrible parkers on Walmart, that's just being a crappy driver. Heading inside my sister and I were immediately dumbstruck at how many people were inside. This was my first time here so I thought "Wow, this place must be awesome to attract so many people." But I was wrong...oh so wrong. It was like a general walmart in that it had lots of low priced items and lots of them; however, walking around and looking for a cart was my initial dillema given that there was simply a wall of people blocking it and that once we started walking around one could not stop and wonder how the floors could be so dirty how there could be so many unattended carts left around with people wandering aimlessly through aisles. We walked around the inner perimeter and finally got to a point where it seemed like they had just run out of shelves...literally there was a 25x25ft square of simply empty space with shelves surrounding it that seemed as if they were there to help try and fill the void since they didn't belong. ie: they had bounty paper towels next to some obviously old LCD tvs. Needless to say I didn't get my mouse because I saw a better deal online, but my sister did find her cupcake tray(and it was cheap) and the lady at out checkoutstand was realyl friendly given that there looked like a mob of people trying to check out behind us. For a walmart located in such a nice area, I was disappointed with the cleanliness and this weird feeling I had the entire time I was walking around that something was total off about this walmart. read more

Oh snap - here we go. Rule of thumb with this Walmart- go when they first open which is at 7am or go 30min to an 1hour before they close. If you go duing the peek hours 9am - 6pm enter through the garden section and pay through the garden section. This is place is a mad house everyday!!! So many people and their families -dang everytime I go I feel like its a family event with others. Do you really have to bring the whole entire family of 12??? Geez. I thought I would never find a fairly decent, clean Walmart - but I did. The Walmart in Fremont which is HUUUGGGEEEE! Is a beautiful and plesant one. The aisles are always kept up, roomey and nice and when you talk to people they actually understant what you are talkigng about and help you instead of pawning you off to another assoiciate or calling someone from "what use to be the layway section" and walking off while you stand there for 30min - 1hour waiting hoping and praying to see another associate to ask them for help. Oh my god. I hate Walmart but sometimes I can't resist stepping in this store to purchase everyday home goods for less. If you're not purchasing a bunch of things at once, I'd suggest going to your local CVS or Walgreens. Every time I come here, I dread waiting in the long lines and weaving through the crowds of families that shop here. I hate crying babies and kids throwing things around. It's the worst you can get here at Walmart. The customer service is also pretty sh*tty. My word of advice is to NEVER purchase electronics here. The employees know next to nothing about their inventory or their products. I tried to purchase the new iPad with a gift card that I received and called the night before to check if they had any in stock. The employee told me there were 12 new white iPads left. I came in the next day and found out that they never had any in stock and in fact, the employee was wrong and had mistaken the newer model for the older version. Ugh! If you manage to get through the store finding your products quickly and get through the lines... then feel free to shop at Walmart at your leisure. A few nights ago I was scammed and sadly I fell for it, however the story has a happy ending. The walmart staff working money center/returns fortunately didnt know what exactly I was instructed to buy or perhaps knew already something didnt add up and sold me a prepayed master card instead. Shortly after I payed is when it dawned on me that I might have been a scammed. The Assistant Manager is currently a person named Jeff. He is nice but is just doing his job. If you call the general store # trying to get ahold of him or anyone, you will be on hold for days and the person will never be found. If you call Walmart Corporate 800-925-6278 and complain, the store management is obligated to call you back. I have seen people get treated badly at Customer Service and I recommend the route below. Go to Walmart Corporate first, then try to deal with the store - it will save you lots of time and anguish. **TIP #1: If you don't have a receipt but have a bank statement with a date of the transaction, Walmart Corporate (# above) can research it and email you a copy of the receipt. The store can then look the item up by bar code or tag and refund for the item. Original receipt is NOT necessary (as I heard one CSR tell someone). Just because you don't have a physical receipt doesn't mean you can't get a refund - they just make it hard. Walmart Corporate has much better service. **TIP#2: You can order stuff through Walmart.com and in most cases pick it up at the store, thus avoiding the whole horrendous experience of crowded stores, empty shelves and shrinking inventories. Walmart is good for a few essential items, otherwise it is a retail experience to be avoided. read more

Hello, fellow customers. I am compelled to write a review about a bad and good experience I had at this Wal-Mart store on Showers in Mountain View, CA I am not one to shop at the busier time with other customers in the store so I went in this store on Tuesday morning 12/11/18 at around 7:35 am. It was not busy yet so I was very happy. I had planned to shop in the ladies department for clothes which I did. I found a few items that I wanted to try on first. I went to the fitting room and was very disappointed to see no staff there yet and the fitting rooms locked. Okay. So I went to the check out area because the employee there was the only person I saw working. He told me he would get someone to open a fitting room for me. He did leave and came back to tell me someone is coming. I waited 10 minutes and started looking for other employees. No one was around or available so around 8:00 am I told the employee at the check out station I have not been helped and he did asked me first if I have been helped yet. No. He left again then a person came out I thought to go to the Fitting Room. Instead she asked me what I wanted. I was at that point very upset and told her I have been waiting at least 10 minutes for someone to open a fitting room and I believe this is bad customer service. Yes I did raise my voice but I was not yelling. She refused to help me and told me to stop yelling and disrupting business there. I told her I am not getting served. She just turned around and walked another direction. She then came back and I had raised my voice about the BAD SERVICE I am receiving. She told me to lower my voice or she will ask me to leave. Thank goodness another staff member came and took over, her name was Ana (and I can clearly see her badge). She (in a calm voice) told me she would help me and took me to the Fitting Room Area and unlock a fitting room. I asked her about my cart and she instructed me to leave it outside of the room, it will be okay. She had to leave but she told me someone else would be there if I needed help. To finish this long story, I end up spending $72.00 that morning. I saw Ana again and I thank her again for handling the situation appropriately and that she is the main reason I would ever go back to this Wal-Mart. I asked her what is her title? Ana said I am the Manager. Yeah. Thank goodness she is the manager and not that Rude Customer Service employee. Today Wal-Mart kept a customer because of Ana, the Manager, instead of losing one. Keep up the great work Ana. Please do something about the Customer Service staff. read more

I never go to Walmart after 9 AM in the morning. It's essential to get there early to avoid the crush of incredibly ignorant and downright stupid customers. Get there at 8 with a list, shop quickly, get in and get out. BTW, the few checkers who are on duty at 8-9 AM are fresh and rested and are a heck of a lot nicer than when the cattle show up and start messing up the checkout lines. read more

This is the worst Walmart I've ever encountered, and as someone who grew up in rural Kansas - let me tell you, I've seen a good few. What happened here? I hate Walmart; I've seen it destroy many of the small towns I grew up around. Unfortunately, I'm also stupidly poor, so I seem to constantly end up there against my better judgement. I just can't afford to pay the prices anywhere else (have you been to Safeway lately?!?!)... That said, I avoid this store as much as possible. The parking lot is such a disaster, I have taken to parking in the Target lot across the street and crossing via the crosswalk. This technique has saved my sanity and blood pressure a lot of strain. Inside the store? Another poster mentioned claustrophobia... um, check. I feel like the guy in the Edvard Munch painting every time I go into this store. You can't even turn around half the time. My only other major complaint is the serious inability to keep anything stocked on a consistent basis. The basics are almost ALWAYS missing and you'll notice whole shelves of empty space. I suppose it's so crowded they can't get enough stuff on the shelf before the hordes descend and wipe them out again. Go here if you must. If you can afford any other option, spare yourself the depression of a visit. read more

I was recently in this Walmart to receive money in a Walmart to Walmart transaction. I was told that I could not receive my money because my license has a P. O. Box as my address. The DMV states that your mailing address must be the address on your license. I currently do not have a physical address. I was discriminated against because I did not have an address. Does that mean that the homeless or people living in their cars can not receive money. I was very upset and the situation triggered my PTSD. Eventually I requested the police be called in order to resolve the situation. I demanded that I get written documentation that states the policy of receiving money. They could not and did not produce any such documentation. After waiting around for over an hour, being frustrated and then attempting to humiliate me, I finally received the measly $40.00. The manager said she was told she could use her discretion. I will never use Walmart to Walmart again at this location. read more

Despite the low reviews I decided to give this location a 2.5 rating. I went with someone who needed something from here. We arrived and it wasn't that crowded and found parking. Went inside, looked around and found out the prices are not that bad. I found a scarf and a little oneise that would be cute for a little one. We went there to return an item bought at another walmart but when we arrived at 9pm (store closes at 10pm). we were told that customer service counter actually closed at 8, but no where in their website was it indicated. When asked about this, the staff yelled & said its like this at every walmart all over the world, the website is not updated. When asked to speak to a manager she said she's the manager & there's nothing anyone can do. Her attitude was so horrible she was literally shouting & yelling at 5 to 6 customers who brought stuffs to the counter. She said we can call the store manager & pointed to a picture at the front door with phone number. I called & of course the number is a computer operated number with no answers. Pros: You always get fair, reasonable prices for anything at Walmart. Cons: checkout can be a pain in the ass. no surprise-can you get capable workers with Walmart wages? There is always a long line in front of customer service. For one time cashier screwed up my bill by charging me wrong price and I was asked to go to CS for refund. Once I saw the long time I decided to leave with peace of mind. It is not worth 2 bucks to wait there. Bottom line: buy items with bar codes so cashier will not mess up your bill. Watch your item list before swipe the card. Think it over before you buy. Return line at CS desk can take for ever. read more
