Came in for 2 tires. Been here since 7am. I was 4th in line. 4 tire change, then 2 oil changes. Had 2 techs til 9am. It's 950a and they're still not done. Understandable cuz short staffed but come on how long does that really take? Tire change 45 mins tops. Each oil change 20-30mins. 2 techs means oil changes should be done after same time. Time management sucks! I should of been done by 830 tops. Won't be returning. Mind you I asked to make an appt the day before, they say first come first served. NEVER AGAIN FOR AUTOMOTIVE! read more

Pros: can find some products that other local stores no longer carry, at reasonable prices. Many of the long-time regular employees are very helpful, friendly and courteous. Cons: My biggest peeve about this store is there aren't prices on many of the products or locations and the store management team has chosen to remove each and every one of the price scanners for some odd reason. The isles are very narrow and customers are usually blocking isles and aren't willing to move their carts so that others can pass. Some of the CSM's I've encountered are rude and lazy. Often standing around doing no work, attempting to look important. read more

The auto center should be closed down. Tried twice in two weeks to get an oil change around 330 in the afternoon when their hours are until 7pm. First trip I was told they were closed for maintenance. Second time I was told they don't do oil changes this late on during the week. Are you kidding me? Ever since the Walmart moved to Antioch it has changed amazingly. Fresh produce and oven baked bread to go. You can still feel the heat from the bread because it's so fresh. The prices are famously Walmart affordable and the aisles are very organized and easy to find items. They have great discounts on clothes and fast cashiers that are kind. The self check out place is convenient and works great too! There's a McDonald's inside and a huge vision care center. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks! read more

I spoke to Nita in the pharmacy over the phone. She explained how my prescription at Kaiser could be transferred to Walmart because they had a better price. She handled everything and called me when my prescription was ready. When I went to pick it up the next day, she came to the window and introduced herself as the one to whom I spoke over the phone. Then she told me that she found a discount coupon for my prescription that reduced its price even further. What service! I will use their pharmacy again. Thank you, Nita! You made my day. read more

Asked for help twice at crafts and sewing section to get material cut. Waited a half hour and nothing. While waiting customers even came up to me and asked me to help them as if I was an employee. One of them asked me to send someone to the storage and laundry section. What the hell walmart?! After waiting for a bit longer, since I'm waiting for my grandmother anyways who loves shopping at Walmart, same employee was surprised I didn't receive help and she asked another employee to see if I can get help. The customer service interaction is fine, everyone is polite but actually getting the help I want leaves very little to be desired. Got the help eventually so they get an extra star. I used to work at a different Walmart location and it seems the "don't make eye contact with customers or you have to help them" holds true at this location too. Haha The prices are low here so I will come back in the future and they're close to home. I usually try to defend Walmart because I love the low prices & usually easy return policy but today, the Pittsburg Walmart pissed me off. I tried to return a swimsuit with tags (clearly un-used); however, I couldn't find the receipt. I only wanted whatever store credit they would give me so I could pick up a few other necessities but apparently with no receipt you can only exchange for other swim wear items.... Umm, what?!?? This makes no sense and is not consistent with other Walmart store policies, nor is it stated anywhere on their website. Incredibly arbitrary!! There really isn't alot you can say about it the prices are good so you have to put up with bad customer service but the prices are good so you can't complain I hate that the shaving cream is locked up in cosmetic section and then you have to pay for it there and if you have more then 10 items you have to go to stand in line a second time so very frustrating read more

I went there after looking for a product at many Walmarts which Walmart decided to just be out of in about all its stores, the "Equate Aloe Vera Aftersun Gel, 20 oz" There's other stores with "aloe vera gel" and it's not only priced more if you read the ingredients the actual aloe vera is way down the list so there's hardly in there unlike the Walmart version which has it second on the list after water. So after hitting a number of stores which their website claimed had some in there (but the stores didn't), I come by this store. Outside the store, are lots of people with blaring car stereos just everywhere. Well so I go inside the Walmart. Now pretty much every store likes to blare bad music from overhead except for Target, Costco and Walmart. However a few Walmart stores do. And this Walmart store was one of the ones, just blaring bad music. I had hoped I could escape that crap inside this Walmart, but nope. They just want the shopping experience to be as miserble as they can. After seeing that they didn't carry the product, I simply left. I had planned on buying a bunch of other stuff if they did have it. I see other reviews describing this Walmart with words like "ghetto" and "vibrant diversity" but every Walmart gets bad people in them, some more than others, but it only takes a few. For instance, make sure at every Walmart to check the lotions for people who have opened them up and used some of the lotion. read more

Went in to Walmart and had one of the worst checkout experiences. Got in line and the cashier was waiting on an elderly person before my wife and I. She asked him how he was doing and we overheard him tell her that he was irritated and annoyed. And didn't ask her how she was. He was flat out rude. Darian then went on to ring us up and said nothing to me so I said hello and then he responded rudely and I had to ask for bags because he didn't ask if I wanted any and he responded with "fine". He had earphones on and was banging on the register seemingly to the beat of his music, he was checking his phone too during the transaction. He didn't engage in conversation or tried to. I work at Safeway and I know customer service and the way we and the lady before us were treated was unfairly. I hope someone can take this seriously because his attitude was out of line. read more

Thanks to the pleasant employees I encountered last night and today, I left wanting to leave this positive review. Because I go to this store at least once a week, and yes the parking lot is now a lot scarier than it was, but in all of my 24 years living here in Pittsburg and going to this WalMart, I never had a negative experience. And it shocked me when I read all of these negative comments here this morning. My experience: I bought ink last night, HP 61XL, that cost me more than $35. Got home and I couldn't find the ink. Got on yelp for WalMart Pittsburg phone number and read all the negative reviews and thought for sure, I'm gonna have to buy another ink. I called as soon as they open, but I had to call back because customer service does not open until 8am. I called back and was answered right away by a pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Told me there was no ink in the lost and found. And that I can come in any time so they could check the camera. Went back to store at around 4pm. Was helped right away. Again by another pleasant employee. Checked the lost and found again. And then told me they have to check the camera. And in front of me, called someone to check the camera. Employee was told I never got the ink. Which was my fault because electronics was closing, I was in a hurry, pre-occupied, on the phone, texting and chatted with the cashier. I was lucky the cashier let me in because electronics dept was closed and they were just helping the last 2 people. I grabbed the ink and gave to cashier to scan and to open the security container it comes in. He also scanned all my other items. The cashier was called to take care of something and I left the electronics dept and WalMart. Well at the end, they told me to grab the ink from electronics and bring to customer service. And I was out of there in less than 10 minutes from the time I came in. I know I could've saved myself the hassle if only I got the ink in the first place. But things happen no matter who's fault. Worst Walmart in the country! The best thing about this place is that women and workers advocate Betty Dukes works here. She's the only thing good about this place. Parking lot has not been paved since at least 1997. The other day I went in and brought my reusable bag to buy candy for Christmas. The cashier did not greet me and immediately began ringing up my stuff as I was facing the other way. I told her, "Oh I'd like to use this bag!" She gave me a death stare and started THROWING the plastic candy containers into my bag...like FULL FORCE. I couldn't believe my eyes. When I went home later that day, I noticed one of the candy containers was broken. Since it was only $1.00, it was not worth going back and exchanging the item. In addition, their customer service is terrible. None of the employees will help you, the auto shop took four and a half hours to replace my tire when it went flat and was covered under warranty, and the customer service counter folks are rude as hell. Its Pittsburg, so I guess the demographic doesn't allow the Walmart management to find customer service oriented individuals to hire in their store; but then again, they don't have an incentive. It is so hard to find what I am looking for, and don't bother asking an employee, they are just as clueless about where the items should be. I hate to say this but I'm always kinda nervous to go to this Walmart. Are most Walmarts in the ghetto? I try my best to never make eye contact with any of the ghettobirds or drunks or meth-heads or crazies that shop in this store and I certainly never bother to ask questions of any of the employees. I just noticed that all of the signs indicating the locations of different departments within the store are in English with the Spanish translation directly below. I thought that this seemed to be pretty helpful, but then I noticed that on all of the packaging and boxes and labels throughout the store, the Spanish translation seemed to be the most prominent writing! No me gusta. I was really confused at first because I couldn't figure out why in the world I was having trouble reading! I guess I can't blame Walmart for wanting to cater to their target population of shoppers in this neighborhood at least but it was still sort of annoying. I initially stopped by the other day to see if I could pick up some Raiders paraphernalia as a last-minute gift for my stepbro and I found that I was definitely in the right place. Everything Raiders!!! There were even all kinds of pink colored shirts and hats with Raiders logos on them for the girls. (I HATE the Raiders by the way....Niners all the way baby) I picked up a couple of hats that were marked as $5 each but at the register they rang up as $3! Sweeeeeet. Mike had to go destroy the bathroom for a while so while I waited for him to be done and for the hazmat team to arrive to clean up his bathroom biohazardous mess I thought I'd browse through the Juniors and Women's clothing section. Every now and then it's possible to find something cute for a couple of bucks. They carry a clothing line called To the Max for women and I found it to be full of some very chic work clothes and quite a few different sweaters in cute and unique shapes and styles. I would've picked up a few except I feel like there's something wrong about paying $40 for one sweater at Walmart. For some reason the normally atrociously long lines were practically non-existant. We walked right up to a register and checked out in about a minute. I saw that they've implemented the popular self-checkout stands but those were surprisingly empty. I actually think that self-checkout is kind of a dangerous idea for Walmart considering that the opportunity must be high to "mistakenly" forget to ring up some items and just sneakily put some unpaid for things in your bag. Oh well, Walmart must have done the cost benefit analysis already and deemed it worthwhile. Oh yeah, and like everyone else has pointed out, this is NOT the cleanest WalMart in existence...not by a long shot. read more

Waited 45 minutes for a fishing license. 10 minutes, no one was there. My fiancee went looking for someone and I stayed to make sure I didnt miss anyone. He found someone and they assured him someone will be right there. 15 minutes pass, he leaves again, and finds someone who says over the loud speaker that help is needed in our department. 20 minutes later, nobody. I gave up, and was pissed none the less. my day and fishing trip ruined. Besides that one experience, they always have no more than 3 or maybe 4 registers open with tons of customers, your likely to wait a good 25 minutes+ in line. and no, its not the employees faults, they are over worked, understaffed, and underpayed. hire more people management. read more
