Ok I know everyone hates on Walmart fir various reasons but imo they usually have the best prices on necessities and also the things you don't need but you want . This one no matter how much they remodel or fix this or that just has a stank vibe to it . The clientele,employees,type of merchandise it's all just stank . It's one of those Walmart's that's in a good part of the city but it's just something that makes me not come here unless I'm forced to. I had to stop by tonight is they were closest that had a item In stock and it was pretty shocking because they usually don't have a big selection of the food items that even the neighborhood markets Carry. They've upgraded the market offerings for sure which is good. They also made changes to the pickup thank god!!! Before you had to walk all the way to by the layaway area in the back and wait,wait and wait some more for maybe an employee to be rushing by from another dept or hunt one down and get them to page somebody . It was real inefficient and I'm sure complaints led to them setting up the temp pick area by the entrance . I still wouldn't make this my go to location on the app or my first choice tO shop at. Horrible service I would not recomend this store to anyone. I went to buy a cube storage unit. I bought it then when I was loading it up I see that it was hit by what looks to be 2 fork punctures tru the box I checked and it was damage. now I took it in , I was not only accused by the door ticket checker, or the gustapo. On May 4, 2019 I came to this Walmart to return a scrub top. I handed the nice lady my receipt and she proceed to do the return. It rung up different from the receipt and price tag. She called the assistant manger Kassie for help. So the three of us have our cell phone out doing the math. The nice lady behind the counter and I had the same dollar amount that was owed to me. And Kassie has a different amount, she told me that I wasn't going to get all the taxes back because I wasn't returning all the items on the receipt. Well smart one there is only one item on the receipt. So I had to show her how to do simple six grade math. Kassie got to frustrate she told the clerk to just give it to her (me) "I don't have time for this" . She said it twice. I told her you are not suppose to tell a customer you don't have time for them. She said "well I don't". Well Kassie it not my fault that you can't do six grade math. Small Walmart. No veggies or fruit. Dirty. Rude greeter at the door. She needs an attitude check. Untrained. Associate couldn't move when my wife passed by and hit her. She couldn't even say excuse me. I wanted a primo refill. The cashier didn't know how to do it so she asked her coworker. Her coworker tried charging me for a new prefilled bottle. This Walmart on the out side looks ok until you see all the security cameras outside and the homeless guy out side next to the soda machine. The parking lot clean and that about it. Inside this is a older store and no Mcdonalds. There are a lot of black bubbles where the cameras are and the makeup is on lock-down like the rest of the Walmart. The electronics center is small and not worth it.The check out there are only 2 lanes are open. What i seen on different reviews employees are lazy and really don't care. Shopped today August 6th about 2:30 waited about 15 mins to have case unlocked for eye drops pressed that button 7 times and asked pharmacy for help. I guess they were short help. I then proceeded to checkstands number 7 light on no one there. A front end worker walked passed us while we were waiting for the checker she walked passed us to nexts checkstand with her back towards me I said excuse me is there a cashier for number 7 instead of taking it upon herself to call for service see to call that would of been good Customer service but no we were ignored. Cashier had long brown hair said I guess I can ring you up no hi or goodbye horrible service she seemed bothered to check us out. Cashier shouldn't walk away and leave a light on. I worked luckys market and Albertsons for 35 yrs I would of be written up.No one greets you on floor as well. Shelves were bare in pet area. Won't be shopping this store any more. read more

Apple pay didnt work and I didnt have my wallet so I asked if i could purchase it online and show the receipt as I had done in my usual Walmart that i go to (fullerton) Manager was just flat out rude. Walmart (Pomona) is by far the least ghetto Walmart that I've ever been to! I didn't have to park a far distance because there weren't that many cars in the lot. Customers aren't dangerous obstacles in the parking lot because they don't jump out in front of you without looking. I've seen ducks cross the road faster than some families in the SGV! MISSION: Obtain a children's kitchen play-set for my nephew (on clearance, and in limited quantities at remaining Walmart stores). DIFFICULTY: Website only had two stores within a 50 mile radius that had a "limited quantity" in store. 1) Pico Rivera: on hold for 30 minutes, hung up, called back to complain, on hold again, no more clearance play-sets. Was referred to try the Pomona store. 2) Pomona: greeted sincerely, placed on hold (but was asked politely), one clearance play-set IN-STORE!!!, placed on hold to see if they could hold the item for me, apologized for the long hold and tell me that the item will be held for me! SUCCESS: Arrived at Walmart, picked up my claimed clearance kitchen play-set, and was greeted (by name!) by the employee who had helped me locate the clearance toy. The original price on this kitchen play-set was $70 and it was on sale for $40. Yes I drove out of my way to save a chunk of change and to get the desired toy for my nephew =) read more

Not all Walmarts are the same. I hate going to this store and so will avoid it, unless I am really desperate. Same stock, but oftentimes, less to choose from. Like Rosa M, the one thing I did buy here was missing it's price tag. It is usually messy, and I feel like I need a bath after I leave. When the greeter is there he is super friendly saying hi to each and every person. (Older man in a wheel chair) They always have everything I need. Plenty of parking. I always do self check and thankfully there is always a person working that section for when the computer beeps with an error. No complaints here. read more

I dislike this Walmart. For security reasons they lock a lot of things up. But what's really aggravating is having to pay for something in each area. An item from the electronics, then razors in the beauty section, etc. Not to mention hunting down a less than eager employee willing to follow you and open up the glass cases... Then the funny thing is they have holiday gift packs of razors just out in the open by the cash registers or wherever else they happen to be displayed at this time of year. If you have the hiring sign up all the time, I don't understand why you're not training employees better or making the store more efficient. I hope things improve. read more

ugh...this place.... so I purchased a brand of socks I needed to be returned. I try to purchase alot of the same item so they do not need to be mix matched and losing one particular sock is not an annoyance. I get called upon to start my return and I have my receipt and socks in hand. She takes both items and I have my card in my hand ready for the amount to be placed back into my card AND...the lady holds out her hand with cash... now I have purchased with card and I seen people ask for cash for returns that have specifically been hassled for the amount to go back to the card that was used for its transaction. They had ALMOST everything I was looking for. self-checkout had issue after issue, the lady kept having to punch in her store code=LAG!! they did not have Any Maybeline vivids lip sticks. BUT!! They did carry DREW BARRY's FLOWER cosmetics here-Their foundations were stocked up but I cant say the same about the rest... The cosmetic dept was a MESS. All the reviews are true, I've never been profiled as a shoplifter, until today me n my roommate went to furnish our apartment until "Nira" or the weird look looking girl with the fried purple hair comes up to us and says we only have 14 items as I'm paying. We reassured her that we had 2 separate transactions she then proceeded to unwillingly go thru our bags with items and verify everything was on the receipt like we were stealing. Came on March 23rd around 11am to the return center. There was this lazy "front desk worker" who took her sweet time with a customer knowing that there were other customers in line. When I was waiting in line she gave me a bad look acting as if she was above me, like sit down woman! You are just a Walmart worker! I was really impressed w/this Walmart. Went there on a Sunday afternoon and was surprised it wasn't that crowded, aisles had room to move around, they were stocked (although they didn't have Stella Rosa Rosso, but they had Moscati & White wines - Stella bands). We went there for kitten flea drops & stuff....and they had what we needed, flea drops worked and I'm so going to come here on my way back from the IE on my way home to La area. Parking - a plenty!!! Convenience location. Right by 60 & 71 fwy. Store is clean and organized. Food section is limited compared to Walmart in Chino, however. I purchased some stuff online and choose to pick up in store here because Walmart, Chino was out of stock on many things. Pickup was fast and easy. Just check-in on Walmart app when you are there AFTER you receive the email notification that your merchandise is ready for pickup. Park at the designated area reserve for pickup only (right side corner of the store) and someone will bring your order to you. Always check your order before leaving to make sure you receive the correct items. Would definitely shop here again. read more

This Walmart is ran by scammers. The employees are allowed to falsely state they are managers and make decisions based on racist thoughts. We purchased a circulating fan from this Pomona Walmart. Took the item, box and receipt and was denied a return for a manual missing when Walmart states you don't need a box to return an item. We went to Walmart in Chino and they kindly returned the item. Customer service apologized and sent a gift car for the wasted gas. Do not go to this Walmart. Maybe if we stop going someone will do something and clean house. The employees are rude, and incompetent. I say incompetent because if your working at Walmart or wherever you should know the name of your superiors. This place has always been terrible but it gets worse every time. I didn't have my ID so my husband used his card to pay for some wine and the cashier refused to let him pay for it unless I had mine. The line for customer service is usually very long but thankfully they seem to keep everybody moving. They got rid of the McDonald's that was in the store, and that's fine because there's another up the street, but I wish they would have replaced it with something, maybe a deli or some other chain, but they just covered it up. They do offer an eyeglass center and auto care, but nothing crazy like a nail salon or a bank like some larger Walmarts. read more

Just tried to do an online order pick up. I went in and was told I could not pick up my item in store, so I drove around to where they directed me. Checked in with an associate and waited about 25 minutes, until he came out and told me they had given my order to someone else and were now out of stock. There was nothing they could do, no way to fix the problem or bring another one to pick up later. They could only cancel my order and send me to another location nearby that had it. And that location was another whole disaster, I found it to be much more expensive there and was told by a smug child of a cashier that they did not price match THEIR OWN WEBSITE. This was a horribly run system, an awful experience, and just proves what people say about how Walmart doesn't care about customer service. read more
