I'm comparing this Walmart to other Walmarts. So don't think I have lofty standards. The standard is very low to get 3/4/5 stars. This place is clean and for some reason less crowded than usual. But that is about it for the good stuff. There is no produce section. The grocery section is limited. But the worst part is customer service. You can't trust them for anything. I got ripped off when they wouldn't give me a water bottle exchange when their exchange ticket machine broke and the machine has been broken for weeks without a note on the machine. If they're this bad in customer service about water, how will they be when you try to return something and they accuse you of breaking it or substituting the product or when they double charge you and they refuse to refund the extra they stole. Go to another store to do your refund or customer service or just go to another store period. Avoid. read more

If you go to Walmart Auto looking for an oil change and they tell you that they cant do it because xyz reason. They are lieing. They are just lazy and dont want to do oil changes haha. I went in for an oil change and they said my stock 2009 honda civic had a "Skid Plate" and that they did not have the proper equipment for it. Took it to Sears Auto they said multiple people had said they went to Walmart and heard something similar so they went to Sears. Generally a decent experience, once out of the dangerous homeless filled parking lot. Returning things here, however, is an utter nightmare. I waited in line almost twenty minutes and more than half of that time I was next in line. I just walked into this Walmart with my service dog and the older African American that greets you at the door refused to let me inside with my service dog. I let him know it's a service animal and he is trained and he said "You can't come in the store". I told him I have paper work to show for it and he said it doesn't matter. Return policy is ridiculous, according to management I was told if my return was over $80.00 I need to go back to the original location, what is the receipt for?? I came to this location because I live in Pomona I purchased a LED monitor for work and it isn't going to work for what I need it for. Came here the other day and was attacked by I believe who was the manager. My mom and I had came to buy a couple of items and we took some lysol too we did not know the limit and once checking out by a young lady the manager came at me and my mom with such an attitude as if we had attacked her first. She threw our items onto the check out area and told us we couldn't buy so many lysol sprays (it was 4 that we had and the limit was 2). Nice Walmart with plenty of parking and its spring cleaning here a lot of plants are for 99 cents amazing. I got a bunch of ICE plants and Daisy s , they both need very little water produce abundant of flowers and are easy to grow. The Daisy attract butterfly's. These are a must for any Garden. If you easily forget to water then get the Verbina they have continuous flowers and need only once a week watering. Well I also got a wind tunnel fan for this weeks heat wave and this one really works and is very quiet. The Coral car-wash with wax concentrate bottle costs $3 and will last at least two years. read more

I don't mind the eye doctor here. She is very sweet but maan, two hours just to get my eye exam done is very long. I had an appt at 530pm, so after working all day long I want to go in and out! I would go to Costco because contacts are usually a bit cheaper but they don't accept anthem. If you got time to blow, come here for an eye exam. So I been all over so cal... And been to alot of Walmarts. Admittedly the majority have had rude employees but this one takes the Cake in a good way ;). The employees are always helpful, they go out of their way to do things for you if you ask nicely, today I went in right before closing time and I wanted a cork board with black frame for my dorm room... (Color coding with furniture) anyways there was only a white one... So I asked him and after seeing if there was any there and there wasn't he went to the back and turns out he went through all the boxes just to see if they had it. 1 was left In stock... This Walmart is a Pomona land mark take that as you will. I have been coming to this particular establishment since it opened and I can say that 3 stars is very appropriate for this place. Over the course of my visits here I have felt both pretty satisfied and sometimes pretty upset at the rudeness/ incompetence of SOME employees. This place is the spot when you need something ASAP and need to do some quick shoppin' such as late night condom runs or you need new door handles. But i have had issues with employees not giving me my complete change and making a big deal when i didn't bring my ID to buy paint remover.. I mean what am i gonna do with paint remover use it as eye drops or drink it??I had a full goddamn beard I think its OK to let it slide, considering all the safety hazards I have witnessed there over the years. This is a Friday night. I just stopped here to buy some clothes for my granddaughter for her birthday tomorrow. I also planned to exchange a shirt for a different size. They refused to change the shirt. Although they are open until midnight they only offer customer service from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. I explained that I didn't want my money back. I just wanted a different size. "Sorry," he said. "We turn people away everyday like this and I cannot make exceptions." I asked, "If you have to turn so many people away then why do you close so early at 8?" He said it was company policy. Really stupid company policy if you ask me. Horrible experience with one particular car service personnel. I've been coming here for more than 7 years but I haven't had the greatest luck with one guy there. He often fails to reset the "OIL LIFE" & the most recent experience he failed to change the "AIR FILTER" & didn't note it. I went back to ask if it was changed and he flat out told me "I DON'T HAVE TIME." I'm glad he's honest but isn't that part of the job? Iget it that there were only two of them that Sunday morning but the problem could have been alleviated with scheduling a few more servicemen. Then again, this one guy always messes up and never provide the best service there. To be fair, there are good people there and it's the reason I go back there every time. My next visit, I am tempted to drive off if I see this one bad apple once more. Please consider re-assigning this dude or you may lose a few more customers, let alone, revenue to a nearby Walmart in Chino. read more

This walmart isn't as nice at the one in Chino Hills but it is closer to me and right next to the WinCo... I really com here only because I go to WinCo and don't really want to drive all the way to Chino Hills. Walmart is ridiculously cheap compared to other places...and this location isn't bad. The staff here are generally nice - I've had at least one positive experience where the staff went out of their way to recommend a product to treat a burn. This is generally the place I go to get my toiletries like shaving cream (Gillette after shave gel) and deodorant (highly recommend Degree Cool Comfort- has a great scent) - even costco selling in bulk can't undercut the pricing at Walmart. If you use Garnier products for your hair the Fructis Surf Hair works well for messy and the putty works well for spiking. Both very cheap here. Or if you like Axe, they carry the "Whatever Messy Look" paste... but that doesn't really smell as good. I don't really have any gripes about this place. I like the fact that they have self-checkout stands... I guess my only suggestion would be to maybe maintain the bathrooms better. I gave this place 3 stars because it isn't spectacular; it doesn't make me want to come back; i just come back because it is cheap to get what I want here. read more

Love Walmart's prices, but I hate everything else. This one was unorganized and the employees were unprofessional and lazy. While waiting for someone at the Site to Store room so I could pick up my mini-fridge, employees would see me, notice the lack of service, lock eyes with me, but just walk away as if helping a customer was the last thing they want to do!! It was so unbelievably rude and ridiculous. I waited 15+ minutes for a representative to arrive, even after furiously pressing a button which was supposed to "alert an employee." After waiting some more, I concluded that no one was coming and that the button proved to be a big load of Bull. So I had to walk all around Walmart to try and find an employee and ended up asking a woman up front at Customer Service, who didn't seem to know anything herself...she simply told me that someone shouldd be arriving if I pressed the button, with both faux confidence and uncertainty in her answer. When my time and efforts were done being wasted at Customer Service, I walked back to the back of the store in search of the rare and elusive species called the Walmart Employee and by a miracle I managed to discover one. I asked the woman if she could either assist me or call someone to assist me at Site to Store and she gave me a more helpful answer than Customer Service, but it was also strange and a bit....sad...."Go to Electronics and ask one of the people there, they're who take care of Site to Store. Better you than me though, because they wouldn't even notice me." What? Okay..LOL. Then I was on my way to Electronics and happened to pass the Site to Store room, when I saw a woman come out from the door behind the counter...Finally!! The employee (who was meant to help like 30 minutes ago) has arrived!!! But afterr I had to irritatingly walk around the entire store...and then I realized, she was back there the whole time...and didn't come out at all to help me or the other people waiting... I told her my order, got my mini-fridge, and bolted the heck out of there! I didn't want to spend another second there or else I would've flipped tables.. I would've rated zero stars if I could, but the only reason why this place is getting one from me is because I got a good deal on my 3.2 cubic feet, two door freezer and refridgerator, Igloo Mini-Fridge for my dorm. $165 discounted to $124 discounted again to $99 was the only thing that made Walmart worth going to. read more

I'm a super target person, therefore my expectations of large stores like these are high. With that being said I gave this particular Walmart 3 stars because it's the closet to me and it's always open when I need things late at night. When I come here it's full of people, loud people. There's a McDonald's which is great and convenient. That staff is fast and always on point with orders and customer service. I use their photo center a lot because it's cheap and great quality prints. The photo center is located with the electronics btw. I always order 1 hour prints online and just pick them up it's very easy to do. The personnel they have at the electronics, well he is very slow working, he takes his time a lot and sometimes you're stuck waiting and he's not always very helpful. The kids clothes are somehow always on sale and that's wonderful, but be prepared because depending on the time and day you go it could be a tornado of clothes everywhere. Another thing I really appreciate is the fabric section, it's great for crafters like myself. The restrooms are decent too. The employees are hard to review; sometimes I have good service sometimes I don't. Whatever the case is I never argue, I think we as customers need to be patient and polite, we are not entitled to anything especially if we are going to Walmart. So people please stop being so annoying and disrespectful, I hate seeing customers like that anywhere I go. Let's be classy. I love the parking lot it's big, plenty of spaces and they have security driving around constantly day and night. There's a red box there too! read more

This review is for the guys at the auto center. They are the nicest, most awesome people you will ever meet! Especially the service manager, Jerry, he definitely helped me out in a time of need. My car's battery died and he replaced it for me for free! That is a $77 value right there! I bought my battery from Wal-mart almost 2 years ago, and he replaced it for me since it was still under warranty. I also got an oil change there today too. I love this place! I will never step foot in this Walmart store again, thanks to a heavy set, latina cashier named Veronica. She was beyond rude, she spoke to me like I was a dog, and treated me like I was a thief. I pushed my cart with the cases of water down to the end by the bagging area so Veronica could easily scan these items with the scan gun. She did not say hello. She did not pleasantly greet me. Instead, she yelled at me, "You're blocking the aisle!" I was not. And she startled me at her tone. I just looked at her in amazement. Then she barked, "Just put your stuff on the counter!" At that point, I took a step back and told her, "How about you do it and you can stop yelling at me while you're at it." She scanned my items and slammed them around. It took everything within me not to just walk out of the store at that point with this utter disrespect. She continued on, "Next time you need to just put your stuff on the counter," as she bugged her eyes at me with attitude and continued, "You need to learn how to follow directions." Resolved, I told her, "No wonder why people say don't come to the Pomona store." She sarcastically asked, "Why, because we're strict and make sure people aren't stealing?" I said, "No, because you are rude and now I see that you are profiling me." I told her, "Go ahead, say something else so we can see what corporate has to say about your behavior and attitude." She shut up embarrassed and fuming. Friends. Family. Fellow Yelp!'ers... Don't expect professionalism or appreciation of your business at this Walmart location. The Ontario Walmart is much better. I personally drive all the way to the La Habra store on Beach Blvd. because that is an awesome Walmart.
