I like this Wal-Mart because its a supercenter. I usually do all my grocery shopping here and buy movies here if I'm not shipping for them online. Its always pretty well stocked and I have noticed the lines moving quicker since the Self Checkout Terminals were installed. Free WiFi too if you need it. read more

I bought a Walmart Visa gift card for $300. and went to usebit 3 days later and it had a zero balance!!! It took a few days to show where the money went. The online web site said exactly $300 was transfered to the Hemit Walmart the very next morning sfter I bought it. Also the security numbers didn't mstch which it had been tampeted with. Walmarts manager day manager was so nice the first time she talked to me and then she became evil. I swear she was Satan's spawn. She said maybe I stold the money! WTH! Oh yeah I drove all the way to Hemet the very next morning after buying it at 11 o'clock at night in San Clemente! Why would I do that it would cost me that much in gas to get to Hemet . Plus the security numbers didn't match a number on the outside of the envelope the card comes in and a number that's on the inside on the card have to match they didn't. The employees told me that they had total card fraud several weeks before and that they had to take all the cards down so now it was happening to me and they said oh yeah the same thing happened to these other women a couple weeks ago . Walmart just doesn't want to pay the money. So I went and looked up Walmart gift cards complaints I couldn't believe it there's like 8 years worth of people that have gone through hell and lost lot more money than I have and I went through hell because of Green Dot the Visa company didn't want to give me my money back either it took me weeks and weeks and weeks of letters and fighting it was horrible. I just wanted to go on eBay and buy a few things. I wasn't going to let them take my money but you know what it's very rare that people get their money back when this happens to them and it happens to so many people. I think it's an inside job going on with Walmart employees possibly because like I told you exactly $300 was spent at a Walmart. The only reason I got my money back was because I know a lot about legalities and I knew just how to get to them and it worked hard to get a back most people give up and I wasn't sure I would but it did. The next issue with the store I have no problem with any nationality working at Walmart I don't have one bit of bad feelings towards any race working at Walmart but this is the thing when you have customer service people working on the floor and they can't speak English that's a problem. I walk up to ask them and ask do you know where this is where that is and they look at me and say no speak English. I can see if they're working back in the warehouse or whatever but if they're working in customer service they have to be able to talk to you. Next problem they're on break way too much and standing by shelves or a cart and acting like they're going to be putting stuff on the racks or something but they're just standing around talking three or four employees at a time. And it's frustrating when you can't find anybody and yet there's people everywhere that are working there but none of them can tell you anything because they don't speak English and they're busy talking to each other. Target is a whole different world it really is and I'm sorry to say that because I want to say good things about Walmart but I don't like this Walmart anymore. read more

I am saddened to see people making fun of the customers in Walmart. Is this a reflection of society today or on Orange County? I want to believe it's not society. I have been shopping here for ten years and here my observations: The check out people are very nice. The returns department is understaffed but the people are great. The store could be cleaner and the isles wider. The folks in the pharmacy are super and helpful. Asking assistance from a floor person can be frustrating. I should never have to qualify myself but this time I will. I am a retired President and COO of a television broadcasting company who has lived in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, San Francisco and Montecito Ca. Such an awful experience. Long story short, I dropped off film to be developed and two weeks later they just don't know where it is. When I asked if it was lost, the man on the phone told me "No, we just can't find the numbers or your name or the film." He told me he would call the developers and call me back immediately, and three hours later I have no call. Walmart. If you're not shopping with them on the regular, you're probably going to need to at some point. When you do, get on down to south county. This one off Avenida del Pico in San Clemente is a surprisingly decent one. Except maybe try not to be there right before Christmas (agghhh.) But the entire rest of the year, they work their behinds off to keep stocked & organized, and I think San Clemente Walmart is representing the company quite proudly. Redbox inside. Also, they've got lots of good parking. Oh- excellent employee shout-out: there's a lovely lady on staff named Missy who definitely deserves your warmest hello, if you chance to meet her. We were shopping in housewares, and her fantastic personality made our day! She has a cute haircut & quirky glasses, and is a true people-person. Visit the store on 6/30 , buying total $221.43 , first charge to my credit card "credit card did not read" , try the second time it's ok. Receipt show first charge "void" but when I received statement on my bank it's showed charge twice to my account the same amount. I really want to try to give this place another chance but the past two times I've been here its been a disaster. The staff are beyond rude. I don't understand why it is so difficult to just simply tell us where something is, or if they don't know, simply say "I'm not sure". No loss from those words, but instead, making a huff and puff and "follow me" while they obviously don't want to be there, its just not a pleasant place. Opt for the online ordering. I will say that I don't think the staff is as friendly as it could be. With the exception of a kind gentleman named Frank, the auto center personnel was a nightmare to do business with. As a vacationer on our family's first day of vacation, I arrived on the premises at around 1:45pm. The basic need was to get new tires. Thinking that this would not be a difficult process, I entrusted the auto center personnel to follow through. this Wal Mart went way out of the way to save me the total cost of the engine battery in my Sprinter RV . The Auto center took the lead to find out if the old battery in my RV was still under warrantee ,even if I hadn't purchased it there. They found the serial number in their database and found that I had less than 10 days left on my warrantee , and honored it to the total allowed,witch was a complete battery swap out ,free install and no core charge. So I got a free new Maxx H8 battery witch is the biggest battery in their inventory,free install,and free discard of the old battery all for free. Their total explanation of the new battery information was very helpful,and now I have the understanding that on the new one ,I have 3 years ,free replacement,and 2more years of prorated discount after that. Thank You Wal Mart, for saving me the $200.00 replacement. read more

At first I was concerned that this Wal-Mart would be in too affluent an area to live up to its namesake. As my passengers and I settled on a parking spot, a wave of relief washed over us. We witnessed what appeared to be a 'domestic incident' evolving between a young couple. Ok, this Walmart is ok, not great but ok. My review is mainly for the way I was treated by the door person today when I was done checking out. I had purchased about 100$ worth of random things. I told the cashier that I had water on the bottom (had my toddler and baby in cart amongst other things) she said not to pick it up that she would come around and scan it. Well she must have forgotten, I didn't notice because I had to bag all of my purchases and keep an eye on my kids. The door lady stopped me and took a while looking at my receipt causing a long line behind me. She said I didn't pay for the water so I told her that I thought the cashier had scanned it and that it was no problem I could pay for it. She went trough my receipt a few more times all the while letting people with full carts pass without even glancing at them. She then notified the self check out person and personally walked me to self check out. She watched me put my card information in and tried to keep my receipt. I told her that I wanted it and took it so she tried to have the self check out girl print another one. When I asked her why she needed it she simply said it's ok and waved me off. I heard the other girl tell her she didn't think she could print another one and also wasn't sure why she needed it. Sorry this is so long and I'm not usually one to write bad reviews, I worked in retail before so I know how it is but I feel this lady went out of her way to harass me. Still not really sure why, it was an honest mistake and not even one on my part. Have never ever been treated this way in a store and was extremely embarrassed. read more

I went in with my husband to buy a few things, we had separate tabs. He went to buy a can of tobacco chew, and they demanded my I.D. as well! I am over the legal age, and we were NOT checking out together. The lady was extremely rude about it. Apparently, Walmart has their own tobacco policy. However, as for them stating that your entire group must present an I.D. to purchase alcohol/tobacco, not only are they infringing upon the rights of US citizens but it is against the law. Like really when I called the rep said we would be able to change it for you. She was so lazy, unhelpful, and rude and looked like she rather be at home. I know what to expect when I go to Walmart. Today's experience was waiting in the Customer service line for 30+mins with only one person behind the counter and the line going into subway. After about 20mins into my wait, they finally put a second person behind the counter. The associate looked as if they just rolled out of bed and didn't even put comb through their hair and complained about how they didn't want to work at Customer Service and deal with customers. (You work in retail. That's your job!!) The supervisor was standing next to her (with 2 big studs in her cheeks. Really!!) and said nothing. As, a customer this is so off putting. I have been a retail manager for many years. They have no professionalism of any kind. This is Walmart's own fault what kind of employees do you expect to get for only $9 an hour. You can make more money flipping burgers at McDonald's. read more

Shopping here to save money on some of the medicines I take...I bought an item that can be sold over-the-counter, which I always have filled on prescription. The item sells for $54.00 over-the-counter and when filled as a prescription, it costs $59.00. When I asked the pharmacist why this happens, I was told there is a $5.00 "fill charge," which I have never ever been charged at any other pharmacy when buying this same item for over 40 years? The absolute worst customer service in the whole world. They charged me twice for an oil change ($50 each) and then would not refund me even though it doesn't make sense. They said "oh it will disappear and we didn't double charge you" but here we are 2 weeks later and I was charged twice. No one gets two oil changes on the same car on the same day. They then proceeded to treat me like I was a criminal trying to scam them but in reality they cheated me out of $50. So I flagged them for fraud. It really should not come to that when my bank statements were extremely clear that they double charged me. The sad thing is I have been going to Walmart for oil changes for over 9 years but not I want nothing to do with them, I will not go back. They need new management in their customer service area because the women will literally yell at you instead of admitting their employee made a mistake. I personally have been a customer service manager before and I know that this was dreadful customer service. That will be the last time I walk into this Walmart. I called this Wal-Mart to locate a product that was not at my local Wal-Mart. First of all, the Wal-Mart.com "told" me it was not at my local Wal-Mart, and stated it was at this one... Wal-Mart.com was right! Called this store, they were fast and friendly -- and quickly verified the product and it's availability. So far, so good for this Wal-Mart. I am very tough on Wal-Mart because I've been a customer for about 30 years and I know folks in the Senior Management (both locally and corporate). I can tell you first hand Wal-Mart is quite serious about it's brand and the customer service etc... If you have a real compliant, you should make every effort to let the Store Manager know, then the Marketing Manager...
