Their prices are the best, but now their quality is very poor nd it fits the cheap prices, the frozen food is sometimes freezer burned, (chicken) mainly...the have been taking my money every month, delivering my groceries by the shopper, but charging me for shipping to ship my cereal, my cooking spray, my super glue, just simple items that should be on the shelf !!! I've reported them to the BBB and they have lots nd lots of formal complaints from local customers, like myself. I was at this Walmart about 830 at night of a Sunday A few days ago. There were two long lines to check out with a cashier, out of 14 registers. Of course the line was long over at the self check out. This is beginning to be a stereotype for Walmarts. I think the manager who runs the joint should learn and be motivated to be better than the other Walmarts so that the Cerritos store have no long lines thus making the customer a little happier. You're always going to get your typecasting of shoppers in every Walmart, but at least let's have the employees and the management be top shelf and better than the next Walmart near by. read more

This place gets the job done, nothing spectacular about it. Came in for a quick stop at night--shop closes at 11pm on weekend. The availability of products seems to be hit or miss depending what you're looking for. So it seems it gets some pretty good business but sucks if your product isn't in stock. Not uncommon to see big gaps of inventory in the shelf. Tip: You can verify online if they have your specific item, but sometimes even that is off. Solid 3 star experience. read more

I haven't been to this Walmart in a long time but I decided to stop by because I my son was looking for a minion toy that is sold exclusively at Walmart. Thankfully we found the toy and I was very impressed by the store, it was clean, quiet and very well stocked. This place is a JOKE. I called with questions about their MoneyGram process, but no one picked up... it rang so long the call was disconnected. I called back and selected the pharmacy option just to talk to someone. The fool that answered told me "Yeah they're really bad about picking up the phone." So I asked him to transfer me to someone who can answer my questions. He said he couldn't and HUNG UP ON ME! When I called back, he picked up the phone without saying anything and hung up on me AGAIN. Unfortunately I had to go in to use their MoneyGram service. When I approached the counter, the woman didn't understand my situation, nor did she seem to want to listen and help. I asked to speak with a manager (I know, I know) and he guided the woman through the process. So I was able to complete my transaction, but I will not be back. I'm went in to purchase a money order for a mobile deposit... I asked the cashier if they had phrase "not for mobile deposit " on the bottom right as some stores now have that and my bank is out of state. She told me no and I proceeded with the transaction. Unfortunately the phrase was at the bottom. IMMEDIATELY I asked her for a refund or a void and she said no, just fill it out and try to deposit it and I'm sure it will work. I told her I would rather have the refund and she told me she would refund it if it didn't work. I tried it and of course it would not work so I requested the refund and she was unable to process. Go figure!!!! Upwards to an hour later she has called a manager (Oliver) and he advised me to come back the next day and he will refund it ( this is after several phone calls)... now closer to two hours we still have no resolution except for me to come back the next morning after 10 AM... I advised I will be out of town and will come back upon my return in about 6 days and according to the manager Oliver, this is no problem and I will not have to wait the 10 days suggested by Western Union. I asked if it was ok if I left with the cashiers check and receipt and they said yes just bring both back upon my return... Cut to today, I have been here almost 2 hours, no refund and they want all of my personal information... birthdate address phone and ss... I can't even trust them to sell a money order, how do they expect me to trust them with my PID, not only that , they want to charge me for the refund!!!!! I ask for the name of an area supervisor and the woman manager Angela says they don't have one. I asked another manager and he says he only has his first name of the area supervisor (Ray) and no contact information. They really think their patrons are idiots!!!! Ray.... Whoever you are with no last name and no email or phone number, maybe it's time to clean house and start again!!! Ridiculous absolutely ridiculous!!! Negative stars for this Walmart Their service was so bad. They sent my aunt and I all over the store. One employee told us to look past B33, another sent us to the front of the store, then told us by electric section, then another sent us to L27, COME TO FIND OUT THERE IS NO L27. Turns out they didn't have what I was looking for so the employees that are supposed to know the store had us running all over from one side to the other. My aunt ended up buying a LA dodgers jersey, and they have the tag that needs to be removed by a magnet. Another employee sent us to another guy then that guy sent us to customer service but then we went to ask another employee that is at the cash register to see if she has a magnet and turns out she doesn't have one so we ended up going to customer service and ask if all cashiers have a magnet and they replied with "50/50". What kind of establishment has uneducated employees and on top of that one of the employees that helped up was very HIGH! While talking to us he was shaking and spacing off. So we walked to him and asked where 70" TVs were? He immediately just yelled this short sentence "It's not here!" instead of "How can I help you?" or "let me check our other Walmart locations" We gave him the benefit of doubt as assuming he should be tired and having a bad day. Oh well...my husband was gonna ask what Walmart policy on these electronic items. So he was asking this same miserable looking guy "excuse me sir. We bought our current TV from Walmart on last Black Friday sale and wondering what.." even before my husband finished his sentence, this guy snapped at us as saying "Its not Black Friday!!!" with very annoyed voice. WTF!! How RUDE!!! We clearly know when Black Friday is duh?!?!!! So I did a on line purchase at this Walmart. I got the updated and at first they put a delay on my curbside pick up... I was worried that this could happen again. I've done on line orders and it wasn't ready. Well good news it was ready. So I proceeded from work and at first didn't know were curbside was yet been going for years here. The signs talk to me good job on the signage. Pulled up and try to do my on line check in. Got frustrated the on line kept error massage try again. So they have numbered parking with the phone number there to call. So I called told them U was there to pick up a toilet seat. Ask for my last name and the first name. Double check what I was picking up. Minutes later a young man comes to my motor scooter and hands me my purchase tells me thank you for shopping at Walmart. Nice. I went to this dump because I saw some g1 transformers reissues in stock on the walmart app. So I double checked brickseek. It showed the quantity. The hell with brickseek. They may not be accurate. But the walmart app should be accurate. So I went by walmart app. I went all the way to this dump, I couldnt find any stock. I scrubbed all toy aisles. Still couldnt find it. I checked clearance aisles, still couldnt find it. I asked a few walmart associates who had scanners. Only 1 out of 6 actually checked sku and bc #. It showed stock. But they couldnt find it. Either someone stole all 16 of these items or they are bullshitting. I will never go here again. Waste of time. read more

I love their grocery pick-up. They offer the same low prices for pick up as they do in-store. If they don't have an item, they'll substitute it with a more expensive one without charging. I subscribed the the W+ when it first came out $79/year. I prefer the pickup at Cerritos than Long Beach Towne center, that place gets super crowded. Pick-up is on the back side. This was the Walmart that we used to frequent when we moved to California in 2007. It used to be much smaller than what it is now. The food options also might have been different? I could be wrong. This Walmart always met our supplies needs, and Ralphs met our groceries needs (Our affinity to Kroger's as we had just moved from Ohio). However, now that this location is a super Walmart, it is a one stop shop in my opinion. The produce looked fresh, staff seemed adequate, shelves were abundantly stocked, prices are very...Walmarty, Most recently, the Mrs. was trying to buy a toy for Ian on behalf of Mr. Claus. She was trying to locate it at Target, Ross, Kohl's, Toys R Us, etc. but to no avail. She finally found it at this Walmart. She was a happy camper. On opening his gift, Ian was a much happier camper. I'm not white, and always felt like they hover over me when I used the self check out, but today take the cake.This is how I had to OBEY a random Walmart employee on a power trip or be denied, something I cant call service because it's a self checkout transaction. Its 10:30pm, I see only 2 open registers with massive lines, and the only others are the 15items or less self checkouts, all 3 are open. I get stopped before I can even scan,by this woman who counts how many items i have in my cart and says I have more than 15items, (I got canned items) so she says I cant use these, I tell her it's a 20minute wait over there. She says she cant control that. I count realize I only had 22 items, but she then proceeds to remotely stop the self checkout as I am scanning, demanding that I go wait in one of the 2 open cashier lines with more than 6 people with full carts in each. I'm trying to pay for these items only for her to shut the self scan down, once more. While the argument gets another associate to call 2 more cashiers to open 2 more registers, before coming to me, put my bagged items back in the cart and push it out of the self checkout area. Only one other person used these 15item or less self checkout during this nonsense. She sternly told me not to use them, she enforced it by stopping the checkouts from working, JUST SAID she "couldn't do anything about the other registers" being closed. SHE DIDN'T HAVE A SOLUTION TO the problem SHE caused me. It's only now that I am sitting here writing this, that I think I should have acted differently, Imitation her dismissive attitude, telling her I'm not going to get these canned goods, WHILE THROWING THEM AT HER. So annoyed. Placed an order for curbside pick up for expediency, checked in on the app, and waited for 15 minutes in front of the store's curbside pick up parking with an infant in the back. Called them twice with no answer. Even tried the speak to an associate option - no answer there either. I finally had to walk in bc I couldn't take it any longer.. only to find out their regular curbside parking is back behind the store and the front of the store is for pharmacy pick up. Okay what?? Like where are the signs?? There were at least 3 other cars parked near mine waiting for their pick up orders. Walmart, you can do better. It literally takes a couple signs that say "regular curbside - back of store." Also, please cancel your landline if you're not going to pick up the phone. For many Years before COVID thats were I would check out it's convenient because I'm handicapped and the parking for handicaps is close to the garden section door. I went to self check out to purchase some tools for my work bench at home.I bought a tool kit which scanned for only $.99 even tho I was skeptical I continued to scan my other items.That's when a rude associate stopped me and accused me of fake scanning the tool kit she scanned it 3 times on 2 different stations and it still scanned as $.99 she then refused to sell me not only the tool box but the WHOLE cart full of items.Very disappointing and very rude worker. read more

I came to shop for some essentials and random items that I found along the way. I came with my partner, my mom, and grandma. We had two separate carts and checked out at different registers as we were paying separately. A lady named Yvette was very rude, hostile, unprofessional, and aggressive. She was asking for our receipt as we had not even left the register, she was standing very close to me and was blocking my way, she kept laughing and saying I was not paying for my stuff and she needed to verify. I let her know we were paying for everything and lawfully she isn't allowed to stop me or ask for a receipt only asset protection can do so. She went to the door and made them stop me and show a receipt which I had no problem doing at the door, but when you are being harassed while checking out is a different thing. We shop here all the time. The service is horrible. Today tops everything. The older lady watched us scanned our item at check out (didn't bother me). She came to us (we're a family of 5 with 3 kids) and asked how many receipts do we have. We said one and handed it to her. She proceeded to count the items on the receipt and counted every single item we had in our cart. I asked her why? This is a bit out of the ordinary since they normally look at our receipt at the door before exiting. This is absolute discrimination and she didn't even mark our receipt or walked us to the exit and explain that we were accounted for. This Walmart is a descent store. It has super affordable prices and practically everything from medicines to groceries to clothing, etc. After this place got remodeled it is like five times more nicer in terms of appearance and aesthetic, so props to whoever's decision it was for the remodeling, it looks amazing. Anyways, I do have a couple of complains. The staff here always for some reason tend to be a bit slow. Like by slow I mean they walk and talk slow, and I assume it is because majority of the staff are in fact elderly which makes them less suitable of doing work, no offense. Some of the staff can be sometimes rude as well and some staff don't even know what they are doing like at the cashier. Like this one guy at the cashier didn't know what to do because of some lady's card not going through so he calls more staff. The staff here are so slow and now with the self check out things are a lot faster. Another thing I would like to mention is how ghetto the people that come shopping at this Walmart are that it might be a little unsafe even. Some people are just normal customers but I'm telling you I have run into shoppers that smelled like marijuana when walking past them. Like I swear the most random people be coming to this walmart and they are strange and weird too so watch your back especially when shopping later in the night. Also be careful of parking in the parking lot at night because there are always strange vans and RVs parked in the parking lot during that time. Also for some reason there are always people selling things here like some guy selling shaved ice and corn and people doing fund raisers like i get you guys want donations but like they are always trying to make you buy their stuff outside the walmart.
