Has gotten better! Marie in Walmart.com is Great. There is a lot of self check outs added recently. As with any place people who care are always a plus. Previous Posting 06/2017: While they have a cleaner store, more produce, more room...Customer Service/Answering Phones....LEAVES A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH THAT EVEN ALL OF THEIR MOUTHWASH CANNOT GET RID OF!!! In 09/15 I had Walmart.com send my EX copies of my order, how I paid, address info, amount of what I ordered,etc. & it is a good thing this was not a violent divorce where the EX was not supposed to know where I lived or it could have turned out to be a MAJOR INCIDENT. I cannot even begin to tell you the number of people I spoke to in order to address this mishap. I was advised it was my fault when MY EMAIL address was in there not the Ex's. Somehow their system reverted to an OLD email address. Both screens showed MY EMAIL address & I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THEIR REMOTE OPERATIONS. It took weeks for this to get addressed without Tawana R.,Tier 2 Representative, Customer Care,Walmart eCommerce, contacting me back to advise me what actually happened. This was also on the email: "Building loyalty through engaging customer service" YEAH RIGHT! . 5300 Westport Parkway, Fort Worth, TX. 76177 Now comes today's fiasco. Called 630-434-0490 this a.m., phone rang for 3 minutes before automatically transferring to Lawn & Garden where I was advised I would be transferred to Grocery then put on hold for 5 minutes. I hung up & called again. This time it rang for 2 minutes before transferring automatically to Lawn & Garden where I now requested a MGR & when female employee (same from first automatically transferred call) went to transfer...disconnected me. Now comes the 3 CALL...It only rang for a minute this time was answered where it should have been answered the prior two calls or so it appears, only to be put on hold for over 6 minutes waiting for the MGR until someone else (not the mgr.) answered. I again requested the MGR & at 11:11 a.m. Site to Store answered line 1 as she was given a wrong line. Current time on this 3rd call so far over 16 minutes. Another mgr. answered which was not the store MGR., then eventually someone claiming to be the Store Mgr answered time on call now, over 19 minutes. I asked what this "MGR" was going to do about the phone situation alone as I have yet to inquire about the item I was calling about. She said she could do nothing at the moment as she was on the phone with me...NICE & WE WONDER WHY EMPLOYEES HAVE THE ATTITUDES THEY HAVE...Lack of thinking in responses... I went to this Walmart on December 31st to return some Potatoes from the Little Potato company. I had bought this item the day before on the 30th. When I got home I noticed the expiration date for this item was December 15th, 2017. I waited in line for quite awhile and when I got to the front, the lady promptly told me that they could not accept this item (food item) for a refund or exchange since I had lost the receipt. (I have a really bad habit of tossing those things out immediately.) I was obviously a little irritated since this was the sole reason for my trip to Walmart. I had an idea right before I walked out of the store. I went over to the display for this potato product, lo and behold every single one of the BBQ blend potatoes was expired by over 2 weeks. Armed with this new knowledge I headed back to customer service, where I waited in line again. Again they told me no refunds or exchanges on food items without a receipt. At this point I mentioned that I had just gone over to the display and told them what I had found. Only at this point did they allow me to exchange for another type of the product. Long story short, this walmart is severely lacking in customer service. Oh and let's not forgot when I bought the wrong turbo tax and had to return it. It was still shrink wrapped. The customer service lady opened it for some reason and then told me they could not accept that as a return since it was now open. What a joke. read more

This is the absolute worst run business I've ever used. I ordered 3 pickup deliveries. My accounts would not open due to "technical difficulties." I couldn't cancel an order, nor could I log on with my cell phone. I couldn't even change my phone number to a cell number. Everything I attempted led to a dead end. Then I got locked out for trying to do too many things. I am so angry. Plus no one answers the phone in any of their departments. I tried them ALL. The phone just rang and rang. How in the world do they stay in business. All I wanted was to pick up my orders. Plus you have to use your cell phone to do that. But my cell phone would not accept my account information even though my account was open on my computer. They need a new manager and they need to either hire more/new people to do their jobs or they need to eliminate so many services because they aren't maintaining them. What a horrible experience. I generally avoid shopping at this walmart when possible. Unfortunately today I wasn't able to do that. I spend $250-$300 every grocery trip, that equals a very full cart. A year or so ago, they took out all of the self checkouts with the long conveyer belts and replaced them with the express self check outs. They usually have one( maybe two of your lucky) employee checkouts open. Today there were ZERO open. Plenty of employees standing around watching me do their job though. I would honestly not mind self checkout if they had the long conveyers again, but it's RIDICULOUS that I have to put my bags on the floor because I don't have room on the conveyer or in my cart. On top of it, they suddenly want to check my receipt when I leave? For what? My 30 bags that you won't go through ? What's the point??? To make sure I'm not stealing because Walmart won't pay employees to do their job? I don't think so. read more

Tried to request offers/information for Eye exam & the employee was really unprofessional.

My biggest mistake was shopping at this Wal Mart. I should've known things wouldn't have changed from my last encounter with management. Sigh. I ordered two butterfly chairs online for about $20 for site-to-store pick up. What I didn't realize was that they had them in store, otherwise I would've just gone in and picked them out myself. Anyway, I went to go pick up my supposedly new merchandise, and it was totally disgusting. Filthy and the cloth had holes in it. So disappointing. The lady back in walmart.com services couldn't do anything about it, so I had to accept it, even though it was to my standards, and then take it to the front of the store and return it. I get to the front of the store and there is a HUGE line for customer service and one person working the customer service area. So finally after about 20 minutes in line, I am able to return the merchandise I JUST PURCHASED. I'm trying to explain to the lady that I really just want to exchange it and I'm dissatisfied with my service and she freaking rolls her eyes at me and sighs. Seriously, I thought I was being pretty tame; believe me, I know I can get riled up and this was not anywhere near riled up. She told me she was just going to return the items and I could do whatever I wanted after that. When my transaction was over she actually told me "You're done." Not as in, this transaction is finished and you're done, but as in, YOU'RE DONE get out of here. So anyway, then I go over to look at the butterfly chairs they are selling in store and they're all a little bit torn up. So I'm talking to a wonderful sales associate named Anthony who is very helpful. After going through the whole pile with me and being unable to find 2 chairs without holes in them (yes, seriously), he told me to call the manager on duty over at the register and ask for a slight discount for the chairs because they're damaged. So I picked out two of the least damaged chairs I could find and did just that. Guess who the manager was? Yeah, my best friend from customer service and her attitude. She came over and said, "Ma'am these chairs are like $20 and you actually want me to give you a discount? Are you serious? It's only going to be like 10%" I just looked her dead in the eyes and said "Yup." Screw you Wal Mart, screw you. read more

With the multitude of grocery stores in the area - Jewel-Osco, Ultra Foods, Brookhaven, Westbrook, Caputo's, Whole Foods, Aldi, another Jewel-Osco and another Aldi...who needs Wal-Mart? There's even a Sam's nearby. This Wal-Mart has been remodeled in recent years and includes a full grocery section and self checkouts. So far, they have had exactly what I was looking for: basics like cereal and peanut butter; personal care like a hairdryer and deodorant, and fresh produce. I wouldn't come back for the groceries, because there are many other, more convenient, options. But for basics, like deodorant, it's better than the Target on Route 83. And any Wal-Mart with self checkouts, all open and functioning, deserve an extra star! read more

Wally Wally Wally World. This is literally the only Walmart in the Darien, Downers Grove, Willowbrook and Woodrige area. You'd think that with the Target's in Willowbrook and Woodridge, that Walmart would upgrade this store so it has a larger food department that includes produce. Overall this Walmart is like most stores, horrible lighting, messy, and filled with sloppy and smelly people. read more

I should've done my research this place is horrible starting from customer service to the work that they do I went in there for a tire actually this morning I called last night just to doublecheck if they had the size they told me they did I came in there in the morning one man told me that the service center does not open at 1 Pm And then vanished finally I found someone else to come near the customer service center I just wanted to purchased a tire and go somewhere else to install and come to find out they told me that they do not carry the tire and that the service center will open up at 10 AM so I told the person just let me out of the door so I can leave and that's what I did and took my business to discount tire and I had no issues read more

This is a review for a Walmart.com pickup order. We ordered an large item via the Walmart.com website and was to pickup the item at this location. First, I do like that in the migration from a regular Walmart to Super Walmart, they've moved the pickup to the front of the store near customer service. In theory, this would be super convenient. However, that is theory, and theory never works, right? Right. I arrived and gave my web order number and the employee looked in the area where her system said my order was located. Nothing. Then she asked another employee to walk to the back of the store to see if it's hanging out back there. She was likely the slowest employee at this location. She just shuffled her feet as slowly as possible to the back of the store and about 15 minutes later showed up with my order. Awesome. I would have given this a 3-star experience except something similar has happened to me before at this very location. Going forward, unless it's an incredible deal, I'm NOT doing web pickup. OMG They finally finished this expansion! Hello larger parking lot and groceries!! Its a standard Walmart, but "MY" Walmart nonetheless. I absolutely loathe the place during all its construction, but so well worth it. With self-check out and an easier flow, in my opinion to the stare's layout. Glad to see its flourishing and many of "MY" familiar Walmart employee's are still aroundm while its also brought more jobs to the area. read more

Update 5/28/15 The produce section is slightly improved, beer aisle is great (nice craft beer selection), but still only 2 stars. The main issues are poor layout and crappy attitudes from employees. Original review: This is the worst Walmart Super Center I've ever been in. We were actually excited when the remodeling began, but it quickly went south. Cons: nasty produce section, glacially slow deli, narrow aisles, brutally finicky self-service lanes, never has sufficient checkout lanes open, and dimly lit. Pros: one-stop shopping. We only go here when we need non-food items and we are trying to consolidate trips. That's the only way I'll shop here. read more

Recently started curbside pick-up.. the young team you have there are doing a great job. Extremely polite and nice. They are working under difficult circumstances... so what if it takes an extra 5 mins to find your order... give them a break, and don't shout at them from your car window. You only make yourself look bad, not them. Keep up the great work. I'm just so happy I can get my shopping done and placed in my trunk... I'll wait all day, especially during a Chicago winter. My food was expired months off when I had told the manger all she did was tell me to grab another one

Why all the hate for this location? I found it a million times more calm/less populated than my local walmart, and it had everything I needed well stocked. Has an in house eye center and a Subway. Has two separate entrances- one closer to food, one closer to home items, so pay attention! The self checkouts are on the food side, and I ended up confused in the parking lot, not realizing I left from a different door than I came in. Twice in 2 months the customer service employees have told me I could not return something (unopened) that, it turns out, I can return. I called a store manager after both attempts who said it was totally fine. Most of the customer service employees just say no to returns because they're either too stupid or too lazy to actually find out. Come on, it's not rocket science. If you are denied a return go to a manager and confirm it. I will not be shopping there, I don't care how big or cheap it is. read more

Terrible customer service! Do not waste your time here, go literally anywhere else. Took battery in for an exchange waited two hours while they tested it, They were supposed to let me know when they were finished, but they didn't. then they enter the number and couldn't find The old battery in their system forcing me to go to another store. Literally wasted an entire afternoon. No one was even a little bit helpful or seem to care. Their garbage car battery lasted less than six months then they make a simple warranty exchange ridiculously difficult. I despise the store with every fiber of my being. I wish Godzilla were real so he could come and step on this place And save us all from the terrible attitude and lack of service. read more

This is the worst Walmart I've ever been to, specifically the electronics section. Another man and I waited at least 10 minutes for anyone to even show up to help us, as there is no call button for assistance and no other employee could be found. An older man showed up to help, but told us he couldn't do anything besides open a case. I asked who could help with getting something from the back and was told another woman named Barb could, BUT that she was on break and I had to wait another 15 to 20 minutes... I talked to customer service (who had a bad attitude already at 9am, no idea why) and no one would help me there either, they just told me to wait. When she finally did show up, she looked pissed off and told me they don't have anything else in the back without even bothering to check or ask what I was specifically looking for. They won't check you out if one person in your group doesn't have an id? (or in my case, she had an ID from Puerto Rico because SHE'S FROM PUERTO RICO) and this was a "red flag" so I (not her--I was buying a singular bottle of wine with other groceries, she just happened to be with us) couldn't purchase the wine for myself? What is this inane policy trying to prevent? I can easily go in there and buy as much stuff for minors as I want if I simply check out alone. I think that's worse Walmart Location I been to. Very rude Assistance Manger when I fried to explain to him over priced in oil change while paying. I went there today and it was a mad house with hardly any registers open, Each line consists of at 30 people with groceries even in the do it yourself check out, where there we're 3 registers down. Beside waiting forever the machine kept screwing up 5 times while I was checking out. Besides lousy registers the carts are very disturbing.( see Targets cart Great!!!)' From such a wealthy family Walton's you should be ashamed. Are you too interested on making money online that you don't care about grocery shoppers and others. I confess I'm not a regular customer at Walmart and this review will explain why. I ordered on-line on July 28th and was told my order would be ready by 4:14 pm that afternoon and I would receive an email when it was ready for pick-up. Now it is Saturday the 29th at 11:30 am. I made my first call to the store at 9:40 am and was put on hold for 17 minutes. Called back and was told the phones were messed up and only one line was working yet I got right through both times I called. Second time i called I asked for a manager and was told she would personally look into my order. I then went on line and noticed my credit card was charged yesterday. I only shopped here because they told me the order would be ready same day. I promise never to shop at Walmart again. read more

The stores customer service is very slow. Equipment constantly crashes. Some employees are rude and need customer service training. There's a lot of people in long lines waiting and out of 10 registers only 4 of them are open. Employees constantly get together and converse instead of helping and some floor sales employees have lack of knowledge where items can be located. read more

PHOTOCENTER Review They have messed up every single one of my orders. 1) Instant print machine not working even though I called before I came to make absolutely sure I could print my photos before church 2) No one behind the counter. No one answering pages to the counter. But hey my photos were ready! 3) I put in an order for a canvas print. I am holding the receipt right now. They have no record of it. Must've been a problem with the website because even though the order was placed, my bank account wasn't charged and Walmart never heard about it. Why do I keep trying? If I could give it zero stars, I would. Cashier told me yesterday my card didn't go through the first time and to try again. Today I see that the charge actually did go through TWICE. Spent 15 minutes on hold trying to get someone in customer services on the phone only to be told, "I can't help you. You have to come in the store." This update is for the Electronics Department ONLY. I guess I don't know why I ever thought that anyone who actually worked at Wal Mart would know things about their department. I mean, electronics are difficult to understand and - let's face it - a lot of the people who work in this department just don't look like they know anything about technology. So apparently Wal Mart sells phones. Not just TMobile phones, but AT&T and Verizon, as well. We thought we'd be getting a great deal because the Verizon phones were insanely cheap with a two-year-contract. Awesome. I bought Blackberry Curve for $8.88. Take that, Verizon. So we decided we were going to change our plan, extend our contracts and get new phones. Thank God we listened to my mom when she said "Let's just change the plan on the Internet so the guy has less to do in the store when we get there." Man, she was right. The guy in the store was SUPER nice but he was pretty bad at his job. First of all, we were in the Wal Mart electronics department for TWO HOURS. Yep, that's insane. My phone didn't take very much time... we just bought the Blackberry, transferred my existing Verizon number to that phone and voila - done! However, my boyfriend transferred his T Mobile number to Verizon and that proved to be the most insane conversion of all time. It took forever for the guy at the counter to figure out what to do. He called Verizon several times to talk to customer service reps but I'm pretty sure he didn't know what he was doing. I'm sure they could have helped him but he had no idea what to do. My mom was on the phone with Verizon customer service for a really long time (like 20 minutes) and then the guy at Wal Mart messed everything up when the automated system wanted to know the number that we wanted to port over to Verizon and I'm pretty sure he entered my mom's number. Long, irritating story short: the Verizon guy at Wal Mart managed to CANCEL my mom's phone number and port in my boyfriend's cell number to her Nokia phone. What?!?!?!??! My mom didn't even want a new phone! She wasn't changing her phone, buying anything... nothing! So she tried to use her phone and it wouldn't work. Then my boyfriend's T Mobile phone AND his Verizon phone wouldn't work. So two out of three of us had no phones for several hours. How did that happen?!? I'm going to guess that Verizon doesn't give those reps in Wal Mart much training since he could sell AT&T, Verizon and T Mobile phones. I'm sure it's complicated and difficult to learn all of that stuff so I really forgive what happened. My advice to you: if you're going to go to Wal Mart and get a great deal on a phone, do something easy. Be a new customer (they know how to activate new customers and new numbers) or be an existing customer who is buying a new phone and extending an existing contract. That kind of stuff is easy for these guys to do and it doesn't cause confusion or complication. The deals at Wal Mart on phones are amazing so I wouldn't totally write this place off to get a new/upgrade phone. The service was good, but it wasn't great and having a number transferred from T Mobile to Verizon was obviously too complicated for this guy to handle. Purchase at your own risk. I still love the rest of this Wal Mart, though. They have good deals on everything else and the store is becoming more and more organized. They're carrying a lot more in every department and I won't stop coming here. read more

Don't ever exchange propane ranks unless you have 15 minutes to spare. They're approximately $4 cheaper than Home Depot, but I always have to wait and then follow up inside to get the tanks exchanged. Whoever manages this store should be replaced. read more

Buying these grapes was a nightmare. When I went to self self the grapes rang up 2.42 lb. a cashier came by and said it's a managers special and they couldn't correct the price. So, I asked for a manager. After waiting about 20 minutes a women comes to me and said she couldn't fix the price, I said but the price clearly reads 1.48lb. She said if I wanted to wait but I would be waiting a while because the manager is busy (ok. I thought she was the manager). After waiting another 20 minutes I went to customer services and asked them to page the manager. Waiting..same lady who was getting the manager comes up and again says sorry the sign was a mistake and I couldn't get the sale price. I told her again I want to speak to the manager. Manager comes up and finally gives me the sale price. No one should have to wait that long to be told you can't get the sale price and have to be that persistent. It was embarrassing, humiliating and their customer service is horrid. I'm avoiding that place from now on I'll stick with Aldi's or shop and save (better prices anyways). I should have had them void my whole transaction and get all my money back for the groceries I bought. I will never shop there again... read more

ugh.... i basically go to this store at least once a week... mainly for non-food items.... paper towels, wine, paper plates, detergent, softener etc... uhm, i take that back... i also buy coffee creamer, sugar, soda... nothing like meat, i get that from Whole Foods... i only give this store one star ( no choice really ) because its really affordable... other than that... the employees are rude or just simply do not care about anyone. try going on a Monday morning... and you will hear these ladies just chatting so loud.. ( women's dept ) super annoying.... try getting cash back... $20 lets say, and asking nicely for a $10 bill, $5 bill and some singles.... and these african american girls... will just be rude and mean.... i mean... isnt that the reason why they offer cash back coz they can give you cash? and isn't that the reason why those girls are in the cashier... coz they have cash/change? ugh.... i had to call a manager because those cashiers are so mean.... try getting fruits.... ewww bananas... brown and mushy... check out apples, avocados or other fruits... seems like its been sitting there for weeks.... I have no idea why they added a produce section... its disgusting.... BTW, try getting a cart.... this definitely annoys me... all their cheap carts are so hard to break from each other... That's what i like about Jewel and Target... brand new carts... these carts at walmart have wiggly wheels that have their own damn minds.... hard to push, and just dirty... This is probably the most worst Walmart I have ever been too. The associates here are super rude, and have made rude comments to me. Made smart remarks to other people have shop with. About using a scooter. Constantly glared at. And the aisle are never cleared always have boxed and ladders in the way. And the associates Never offer to help. read more

I love their vision center. Dr. Kats is so nice and patient. I wear a strong prescription and it is hard to find contacts that work for me and he takes the time with me to figure it out. I like the ladies that work at the desk very helpful with insurance questions. Michelle is sweet and greets me by name when I walk in. It is nice to be able to get my shopping done after my visit too. read more

I really try to avoid this Walmart. Its either the Walmart in hodgkins or Bolingbrook for me. And if I don't feel like driving far then it's Target on Kingery. The last time I went some associate came up to me and asked if I was from a competitor's store. Who does that? I was standing there comparing products not writing prices down. It was really weird because after I said no she just stood there watching me. I decided I was too annoyed to even buy anything. On my way out I spotted a department manager, not sure which dept, but I told her about what happened anyway. She seemed not to care and confused as to why I even approached her about the issue.
