They need to FIX the self checkout!! The purpose of the self checkout is Convenience...FASTER service via SELF service. Otherwise you're stuck with the regular lines that are RIDICULOUSLY long waits. On one occasion, instead of giving me upwards of $5.00 of change back in paper money, the machine spewed forth COINS only. The attendants response was, "Oh....it does that at times." No offer to give me paper bills from cash drawer....Nothing. For the last three months.....2-3 of the cash self checkout machines have been taking the celestial dirt nap with no successful resuscitation. At Normal stores, these faulty machines would have been replaced promptly. They have been malfunctioning from their inception. Fix or purchase new machines!! How hard is that? I call 2 time try to reach manager but wait for 15-20 ... so I drove 40 min got there saw almost everyone there wore yellow shirt which manager standing everywhere and can't even get one on the phone? So I found my item I was looking for ... went self checkout they said it in a box I have to check out at cashier ... so move to another long line cashier, check out my onsale Lysol and use my coupon .. they wouldn't let me use my coupons!!! Only limit 2 coupons!!! This may be a little misleading so I'll lay it out there. I had to select a place but it's not really Walmart that I'm pissed at. It's those goobers from Comcast/Infinity that ambush you in electronics. I blame myself for saying "hey" back at these goobers. They had me!! Damnit!! This was around Halloween (2019) and I was just slow shopping. I told the salesman (Travis Moon) that I was already a "loyal" customer. (their words to me when I pay each month) Travis seemed delighted to have my attention and said he could work magic and lower my bill plus give me extras. Ok! I'm listening. He asked me my favorite channels that I watched. Told him I keep the ID channel on most all the time and I liked the WE channel. I noticed Travis was training a lady and thinking back, probably heard little that I said. He played on his tablet said he would add a landline for Free because I was nice. HA!!! All said and done, he finalized the deal and got my bill lowered by a whopping $5.00. Boy, was he happy! He even gave me his personal cell number in case I needed his help any further. BIG MISTAKE TRAVIS!! This was on a Friday. He never even gave me a phone number for my new landline. I went off for the weekend and when I got home Sunday evening, my ID and WE channels were gone. Monday morning, I called Travis early, early in the morning and told him that I Never agreed to this line-up. He said he would fix it and call me back. He never called! Before hanging up, he told me not to call tech support or corporate. Guess what I did!! Was on the phone with corporate at least 4 times that day. They even had a really nice tech guy call us and walk us through this BS! My advice to everyone..... if you see Travis Moon or anyone trying to hock their magic, keep walking. Call the company and go though them for any changes you may want. And if you run into Travis Moon, you can tell him that he can unblock my number. I'm done trying to teach him. The irony is that he was teaching someone else. I think he hardly heard what I was saying. I spent several hours on the phone with corporate (they were great) because of this goober. Buyer beware. And Travis sucks at his job. (My opinion). read more

If you've ever wanted to feel unwelcome and inconvenient than does this Walmart have the place for you. It's impressively underwhelming. The lighting is reminiscent of a dingy warehouse and the attitude is nothing short of an overworked pirate crew. With what seems to be a never ending crew shoving pallet after pallet of god knows what into the aisles at all hours of the day, you can easily get your work out dodging jagged bits of metal and wood as you navigate your way through what I imagine is their version of the Labyrinth from Greek Mythology. I couldn't imagine a better way to spend your morning, noon, and night if you're into being miserable for what seems like an eternity while you're in there. I also have had a couple employees ask me for both cigarettes and money outside of the entrance. Although that may just be their greeting tactics. read more

This particular walmart is terrible. On two seperate occasions I've purchased food there only to later find out the food was expired. Also they're are many items on there shelves that are broken or half empty. You have to be extra careful to make sure that when you purchase something that your product is full and has no leaks because the staff there definetly aren't doing there jobs. Not that I totally blame them $7.50 an hour with horrible benefits doesn't exactly get you top of the line employees. Anyway just be careful and double check everything you buy there. read more

I wish this Walmart would utilize the self checkout at night. Anytimevi go in this Walmart after 10pm there's one line open and its wrapped around thejewerly counter, if a another line is opened it's like a hassel or bother because its open. A good friend of Mines came to pickup a TV for me as a Early Birthday and Christmas Present. The customer service experience she explained was one of the worst she's ever had to deal with. With people walking by one by one asking have you been helped until 15 minutes later someone finally assisted her. So she finally got someone to go get the TV and he didn't even work that department and he brought to her attention that the box was damaged. He informed her that they wanted him to turn the box around so she would not see that the box was damaged but he said that was not something that he could do. I appreciate him for an honesty and someone actually demonstrated real customer service. The one-star was for your overall if I could I would rate him separately but unfortunately he works for a place that doesn't care about their customers. I will return with my friend to get his info and do a yelp on how you are Supposed to treat your customers. I just received in the email are we view on my experience I'm going to inform them to read it on yelp like everyone else. But I will recommend my friends and family not to do a pick up at this location because you don't know who you may get, not to shop there because you don't know what customer service you may get so I am highly dissatisfied with this location. read more

It's a Wal-Mart, there aren't many surprises here. They have a grocery, garden section usual Wal-Mart stuff. Staff aren't exceptionally nice or mean. However there are two things that makes this Wal-Mart the worst. If I didn't live so near to it I would avoid it. First, they don't sell beer. Luckily I pass Hal's Package when heading to Wal-Mart, but I'd prefer 1 stop shopping. The second worst thing about this one is that you can never run in and run out. There is a line at all time. The cashiers are painfully slow from opening to close. When I come here I know I'm going to spend anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes waiting in line. Time seems to come to a halt when I get in the checkout line. Why are they so slow? Beats me. Just be aware that there will be no running in real fast here. read more

If you like getting hit up for change on your way in and out, this is the walmart for you! For a super center it's not so super, sometimes you can get lucky and find everything you need, most of the time you won't . You can never get a hand basket in this place , so either get a cart or be prepared to carry your stuff in hand. I've shopped here on multiple occasions and on multiple occasions been on the brink of a meltdown. Yeah, we all know it's Walmart, but there's still an unspoken agreement that there needs to be some semblance of customer service when you enter. After 20 minutes of waiting to spot an employee in the video department, a young woman (who, had it not been for my keen sense of eavesdropping had come to realize that she, in fact, worked there. Two stars are for connivence and cleanliness. But with that being said the staff are 75% clueless on what they actually have in stock. They are usually put of so many things and it takes them forever to restock. There are usually two lanes open out of about 20 no matter how many customers are in line. I've never seen more than three checkout registers open ever....EVER. If you can I suggest going anywhere else. It will save you time and frustration. read more

Dec 4th I purchased a pair of Dr Scholls Foot inserts. I keep the receipt. There is a large sign" Guaranteed or your money back. I wear them 6 times. I take them back WITH the Receipt. I wait on a long line to return them. Some lady tells me we don;t hake them back. your over 90 days. looks at the sign. I miss it by 5 days. She said"you will have to call the company, we aint doing nuttin with them." She tole the cashier.Hand them back to him. #1 The 5 days too late is a Chicken Sh*t move. #2 She had way more attitude than needed. #3 I could have removed the receipt, and gotten a credit I guess. #4 Since when do you have so much business you can afford to lose business?? I fear, nay, loathe a trip to this Wal-Mart Supercenter. I shop here pretty frequenty (probably average 2 trips a week) simply because I live about a mile from here. Pros: It's pretty clean. Cons: They don't have enough people working here. Items are constantly out of stock, in the wrong place, generally chaotic shelves, etc. I wanted to buy totes on two separate occasions and there were no lids for the totes. I asked the person I could find where they were and 2X all I got was "I don't know." The "can't find the price?" thingy's are often not working. Last time I went, I had to go to three before one worked. There are never enough lanes open and the self-checkout corral is frequently like a prison sentence....probably because no one works here. The self checkout usually only has 1 person working it, even at like 5:30 p.m. when there are about 15 people in line and something is always going wrong, making it really hard for that 1 person to make their rounds. I seriously have felt like I was about to be a victim of vehicular manslaughter in their parking lot no fewer than four times. People DO NOT SLOW DOWN in front of store. Why you ask? Oh yeah, there are no speed bumps. Have I mentioned no one works here? There have been several times when the lines were so long at the checkout that I decided to abandon my wares and seek retail outlets elsewhere. I don't like coming here. read more

I shop at this Walmart fairly often, and I wouldn't categorize it as Ghetto, but then, I don't really like to stymatize people and places that way. My shopping experiences have been not much different than my experiences at other Walmarts and/or other big box retailers. There is always a full parking lot (I guess most retailers consider that a good sign) and the lines do move slowly sometimes. But, in their defense, I have never had a rude cashier and the staff has been helpful when I have had a question. The store is convenient (on my way home from work) and is close to a Dollar Tree (my other spot for crafting supplies) and it is clean, if not always neat, but that is more the customers (not replacing items) than anything. I guess, since I mainly buy crafting supplies from Walmart and maybe an ocassional Wi game for my grandson, I don't spend as much time in the store as those who do serious shopping there. I really do wish that the word Ghetto would join the N word and not be used so freely by people who are no better than they think they are! Ann H read more

Worst customer service ever. Employees pass right by you and don't offer any assistance, then there was the rude cashier, won't call any names but let's say it started with a "J". Did not say hello, hi, or anything the whole time she was scanning my order. She just grunted and had a mean look on her face. I guess because it was either time for her to get off or go on break, because she kept looking at the line build up and finally cut her light off. There were only 3 lanes open at 7 on a Saturday! Lets be honest. Customer service at any Walmart stinks. I get that. But I am sick of putting up with bad service from this megalomania-cal company. Hard working people can't really afford to go someplace else so Walmart holds us hostage. We get cheap food and they give horrible service. You can call and complain but they truly don't care. They absolutely know that their company will succeed no matter what the behavior of their associates is. One this particular day I brought my mother in to do some shopping. Like most senior citizens she has to watch every penny she has. She picked out a certain product that was priced on the shelf at 9.99, however when she got to the checkout it rang up a different price. A much higher price. I offered to run to the back to double check the situation. As I went my mother spoke to the cashier and told her of the situation. EVEN the cashier said...oh yeah happens all the time but they wont honor the price on their mistake. They don't care if you complain. Sure enough when got to the area of electronics where the product in had been I bumped into an Assistant Store Manager Koery or Colby I don't remember his exact name...I told him the situation and he said they would NOT honor the price on the shelf. He acknowledged the issue, he just refused to do the right thing and charge the price listed. Instead he said we would have to pay the higher price. LOLOL...not. We left our merchandise there and went to a different store. From now on we will drive the extra few miles to go to a different store. It's sad and embarrassing to be a hard working adult who can't afford to shop anywhere but at a store that takes advantage of some many people. read more

I live less than a half mile away, but only go to this store if absolutely necessary. I went tonight (bad decision) to buy a car battery. I decided while I was there to buy some stuff from the deli too. There were only 4 lanes open, each one with 15-20 people waiting to check out. I stood in the express line (what a joke) for over 15 minutes and there were still 5 people in front of me. I finally put my deli meat, fried chicken and battery on the floor next to the cosmetics aisle and I walked out. I will NEVER, NEVER, EVER go back to this place. It would be much quicker for me to drive to the Target in Edgewood. Besides it being ghetto, there are nowhere near enough cashiers. Absolutely the pits! If you think this Walmart is bad, then you should never go to the one on Gresham Rd. IT SUCKS. Every one standing around, but no one wants to help you, and when they do, they act as if you are disturbing them. HA!!! This Wal-Mart is very unprofessional, from management down to the crew. I did have one young lady try to help me but she could only do so much since she had no authority. I just feel management should not tell you they physically have something waiting for you upfront in customer service and you get there no one knows what you're talking about. I started going to this Walmart Vision Center a few years ago because it was near me, cheaper than most other places, and I could usually get an appointment quick, when I had the time. The same doctor was there for years and I felt well taken care of and respected. Last year when I went, I experienced a very bad attitude from the office assistant when I showed up on time for an appointment I had made and she let a walk-in go before me, which pushed them up to their lunch break and I had to set another appointment for later in the day. I gave it another try today and will definitely NEVER go back. I was there on time, and although the "doctor" (not sure if this actually applies) was not with any other patients and was on site, she kept me waiting for over 20 minutes. When she took me back, she spent no more than 5 minutes with me, and hit me with a bad attitude when I asked some simple questions. Thinking back on it, I am realizing that she never even looked in my eyes at all. The attitude of this woman was very unprofessional and I wish I had just walked out without paying the $140 and gone somewhere else. There is more ugliness to this story, but I'm just getting mad thinking about it and I'll leave you with this recommendation: don't consider Walmart Vision Center, at least not this one. The customer service is very, very poor and the price is way too high for the level of care you receive. I would not go there again if it were free. read more

i use to work at this particular location. i do not recommend this particular location to work at. the store manager all the way down to her minion mangers are very unprofessional and disorganized . one particular manager named donna fired me for absolutely no reason at all. she claim cuz i had four points but we all know that wasnt the real reason because its people walking around there right now with way more points than i had so yes it was very personal. i didnt even bother fighting it because i really dont like working with ghetto people and unprofessional managers. i did my job and was never late. this walmart i hope gets closed down or get a new management team in there asap!!! read more
