Worst store ever.....I made a grocery pick up for tonight. I used the app and had email saying my order was ready. Waited in the car for 35 minutes no one came, no one answered the phone, finally decided to go in the store. All the employees were are on their phone doing nothing. I asked an employee about it and he said the pick up is closed today while he was picking his nose ewww gross. Disgusting and so if you plan on doing grocery pick up here plan on not getting you're groceries and having to call customer service to get it canceled. Even the customer service person was an idiot. If half stocked, items that are never in the right place, and rude staff is a place to shop then this is the place to be. A family member of mine refuses to go to this Walmart because whenever we go in a handful of items that we want are not there. Not to mention the multiple times that I check out and see a completely different price then what I thought. I mean yeah, I could spend my time making sure the item I want is in the correct spot check the item with the price sticker thing but after continuously doing that it doubles your shopping time. I just find it to be real inconvenient. I'll be standing in an isle for an extra 5 minutes just trying to see how much an item is. I understand not everyone enjoys their job but for the love of god, at least pretend like you do. I was trying to get an item from a locked cage in electronics -- terrible mistake. There was an old man working in that area. Side note - elders are the last people that should be working in electronics. Anyways, he went into the photography section and I tried to get his attention by saying "excuse me" and "sir" and he didn't hear me. I believe I shouldn't yell to get a workers attention so I didn't. I just waited. And waited. And waited... for a good 5 minutes. I started to look around to see if there we any other employees in this section and I found someone walking towards a backroom. To sum things up, he told me "that's not my problem." Seriously?!? That's honestly the worst thing you could ever say to a customer. So after waiting more time I finally got my products. In addition, refuse to do anything but self check out because I don't want to be glared at or confused/unfriendly staff that knows little English. My Wife bought a Christmas star for a tree two days before Christmas. It did not work on our tree because it was too heavy for the thin brank and fell over sideways. We tried to return it in the original package undamaged with our receipt and the store personnel would not let us return it. The Eden Prairie, MN store manager decided he was no longer going to accept any holiday returns after a holiday. It is not posted on any sign by the holiday items that no returns are allowed after a holiday. You find out after you come back and try to return something. We talked with the supervisors at the store (they said the manger was out) and they told us that all they could do was give us 25% of what we paid for it since it was on closeout price yesterday at 75% off. If there is going to be a no returns policy on anything it should be clearly posted in the store. Needless to say, we will not be shopping at Walmart anymore and will share this story with all our Facebook and Twitter friends. read more

Clean and well organized store. Used Walmart Pay and they charged twice. What a fiasco. They didn't even know what was going on with their own app. Took me 40 minutes to get it fixed. No one cared and only one manager apologized. Cashier originally accused me of not paying and then directed me to self check and had to go through the process once again. What a nightmare. you wouldn't know this place was here unless you're looking for lifetime in Eden prairie. construction on the outside is nearly complete. the store is still arranging their grocery section but overall the WalMart is clean.. the aisle doesn't have stuff on the floor... the shelves aren't a mess and people who work their dont look like they would be part of a gang or someone who desperately needed a job. the cashiers are quick and the parking is sufficient. there's a subway if you're hungry and a vision center if you're looking for discounted eye wear. read more

And one of the registers is closing but customers keep getting in line. No amount of renovation can remedy the reoccurring problem of unstocked shelves. This store consistently misses replenishing merchandise for days or even weeks despite having an army of staff. It shouldn't be very difficult to determine if a shelf needs to be restocked. Perhaps the management should have the staff straighten out the messy shelves and make note of the items that need to be replenished. Whatever the solution, the team at this particular store should visit the Walmart on American Boulevard in Bloomington. It too had a renovation, but they have a far larger selection of goods which are always available on nicely stocked shelved. The one good thing I can say about the Eden Prairie Walmart is that their staff is very friendly. read more

It's Walmart...I came in for juice, they had juice, I paid and left. Some observations: the inside was clean, employees busy stocking shelves, their prices are pretty fantastic for food items (as one would come to expect), and their checkouts weren't crowded with people. I was a little sad to learn that they close their nursery at like 8pm, but that's certainly not the end of the world! Will I return? Probably, it's Walmart and they have cheap juice. read more

This place may have been remodeled a few years back but it's more disgusting than ever before. I went in here to buy some movies, this place just stinks and the floors are extremely dirty. Merchandise is a disaster in every section of the store. Absolutely the worst customer service. They treated me like I was a fraud after my card was declined. I paid part of my transaction with cash and tried to pay the rest with my credit card. My card was on hold for another transaction. Because the transaction came up declined, the Walmart employee took my cash that I put in the machine!!!! I then paid with another credit card. Last night I went in to pick up an on-line order. I got in line which had about 5 people in front of me, there was a separate line for returns, which had 3 people working it. There was 1 guy working in my line after 1/2 hour in line I am finally next, but then the manager makes him go to break and did not replace him. So after 10 more minutes I go look for this manager and she was so rude to me and told me there were people working the registers and to wait my turn. I was so livid!! No one replaced the guy!!? I waited 10 more minutes until the other manager was done with other customers. I was in line for 45 minutes to pick up an order! Such horrible customer service!! The only reason I did not go off on her because my child was with me! Just don't bother. Walmart has been on my "do not" list for years after a bad experience at this same store. They listed in stock a carpet cleaner that is simply only available at Walmart and the manufacturer...well wanted it quickly...so took the chance and once again confirmed the lack of customer service or 20th century technology. Did an order to be picked up in store...they charge your cc without even confirming that it is in stock..no follow up email..nothing...before going I checked again and found it listed as out of stock...again not sure if I got the last one and should expect to get confirmation to pick up but finally just cancelled the order which I found out had been cancelled within minutes of placing the order last night. Again zero communication. The store is gross...don't go and don't bother ordering anything for pick up because they probably don't have it and don't inform you. NEVER AGAIN. read more

I went in today and there was clothing on the floor, heaps of clothing unfolded stuffed into shelves with no rhyme or reason. Food on the floor,. It was once again a disgusting mess. I have only needed to return things to Walmart twice and today was the second time. I beg of you...... do not purchase anything that may need to be returned or exchanged - it is extraordinarly painful. Today there were 6 people ahead of me in line. There was only one customer service person and she was having an issue with a customer (don't know what it was about) but could not reconcile the problem. Waited and waited and waited - maybe 10 minutes - before a "manager" came to help. The "manager" was also not able to help. At that point a second customer service person came to help. The first person in line stepped up and again - some sort of problem that again required a "manager" to come and help. At this point I have been in line about 15 minutes and the line behind me is growing and growing. We are all shaking our heads wondering if we are on Candid Camera. Finally one of the customers finished her business at the customer service desk and the next person in line moved up for service. She had a simple exchange but for some reason, a driver's license was required and her husband had taken off with the children who had become impatient to try and amuse them for awhile. However, he had his wife's handbag in the cart. Thus, she did not have her driver's license with her. Again, a wait while she telephoned her husband to return with her handbag. That person finally was finished and it took another 15 minutes for my turn. I have returned things to Target and other discount stores and it has never been this unorganized and inefficient. Do not know if this is only at the Eden Prairie store, but the management there really needs to step up the plate and be more customer user friendly if they are to have any more of my business. Oh the Controversy of Wal-Mart. Most people either love it, or hate it. And that's just the way it is. However, I sometimes find myself caught in the middle, being for the most part indifferent. I go there mostly for basic needs, such as food, and hygiene stuff. It tends to be extremely convenient, and the prices are pretty much unbeatable. But how does it stand against other grocers and department stores on the level of store appearance, and customer experience? At first glance, it may be hard to take a Wal-Mart store seriously. The obnoxious bright blue lettering of the sign and the outside of the store make it completely impossible to ignore. If there is a Wal-Mart nearby, a person would definitely know. Upon entering the maze of parking lot rows, one might discover a bit of difficulty finding anything, including a place to park a vehicle, much less a way to leave. Once you're in, it isn't so easy to get out. I have a tendency to pick the worst possibly parking spots. Last trip to Wal-Mart ended with a nasty door ding on the passenger side of my car, in addition to several scratches I assume to be caused by stray carts. The managers of Wal-Mart must know how frustrating the parking lot can be, because they strategically place adorable old men and women just inside the entrance to greet and shake hands with incoming customers, most likely in attempt to lighten the mood. I have to say, this strategy is brilliant. My heart melts every time I see dear old Grandpa smile at me with a near toothless grin, and give me a warm hello. Most of the time, I find that these greeters are very genuine, and I always get the sense that they do truly mean what they say. On this particular trip, I just so happened to be grocery shopping, which means 'hello squeaky cart!' I just love the feeling of all eyes turning to me as I make a seemingly dramatic entrance with my aspiringly operatic cart. But I don't really care what the other shoppers think of me, heck, in addition to having equally squeaky carts, most of them are still wearing their pajamas, and often not the modest kind. So, doing my best to ignore the stares, I continued my trek through the isles, only to get confused as to where I was going. It seemed that the clever managers at headquarters had come up with another genius strategy of keeping us in the store, making sure we all get lost in the maze of sections and aisles. But hey, at least it was clean. Impressively clean actually. The shelves were well stalked and everything appeared very organized and put together. The boundaries of different sections within the store are a bit blurred however, and it was somewhat difficult to find what I was looking for. Again, I feel this is another deliberate strategy designed to keep the customer circling the store, and expose them to everything else that they may be tempted to buy. I do not fall for that trick though. Instead, I prefer to simply ask for help. I found though, that this is easier said than done. With the size of the store, I would've thought that it would have been much simpler to find an associate to help me. But employees here are few and far between. I had to walk the entire grocery section before I was able to find someone who could direct me to the chicken bouillon. And rather than walking me to the location, the employee simply told me the aisle it was in, and went right back to stalking the shelf, leaving me to 1.) find the aisle by myself, and 2.) scour every inch of the shelves while crossing my fingers that I was looking in the right place. I did find it eventually, but it would have been much faster to have been shown the location, rather than having to looking for it by myself. Don't get me wrong. I do find Wal-Mart to be extremely convenient, and largely entertaining. But several improvements could be made to better the appearance of the store, and the overall customer experience. The staff there are for the most part very nice, and welcoming, but sometimes lack in Customer service approach. I think this location would definitely benefit from hiring more employees. Not only would this increase the amount of satisfied customers, but could also help better the appearance of the store. read more

This Walmart is open 24 hours a day. However do not attempt to call them after 11 pm. On 1/11/2017 and into 1/12/2017 they were not capable of answering the phone. This explains a lot about their overall attitude regarding customer service. So we didn't get an answer to a question that was critical to our family and to others because they were just too lazy to pick the phone. We call 7 times and each time the call timed out and just hung up after ringing over 5 minutes each time. Way to go....hope you are proud of how you treat people the buy your products.... We ordered a book online and chose to have it shipped to the store. When we went in, we asked the person at customer service if the item arrived. She looked for about 5 minutes and when another worker walked by, she immediately made her start looking for it while she went to do something else. 5 minutes passed and that person passed it on to someone else and went to do other things. When someone else came to help, they looked around for another 15 minutes for the book just to come back to say that they lost my order!! They did offer me a refund of my money, but we waited for the book to arrive for two weeks and was planning on giving it as a Christmas present. Not only did they waste my time for 30 minutes looking for my lost item, but the two people looking for it first made me feel like I was not important enough to look around for my item. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the last lady said that she would look around for it for the rest of my shift and would call if she found it, which she did.
