Last week I had to get 2 items from this WalMart & like ALWAYS I ended up with about 3/4 bags of stuff (Oops!). Anyway, since almost EVERYthing is locked up, I needed help and Sharon was the one with the keys. Sharon was SUPER helpful & patient with me as I needed her numerous times. But the big issue was when Sharon checked everything out, bagged all my merchandise, & gave me my total! Let me tell you, I did the most embarrassing thing I could do to myself!! By habit I attempted to pay for my stuff with a compromised debit card (a new one was on the way from my bank). WOW!! I felt SO Dumb!! And guess what, Sharon didn't even make me look how I felt [stupid]! She didn't judge me! She didn't seem to be annoyed for her time getting wasted or none of that! I will always remember her for her kindness & understanding. I don't even particularly like this specific WalMart! I actually cannot STAND coming here. I LOVE this Walmart. Of course employees will have a hard time knowing where every item is; this is a brand new store with new lay out. Give them a break :) it reminds me of Costco type. It's open 24 hours, well lit parking lot; makes it safer for those late night runs to the grocery. I'm pleasantly surprised with their fresh produce which includes organic veggies too. You definitely can get lost here it's huge and I think that is why most consumers are feeling that overwhelming feeling. Don't ever do grocery pickup after following the instructions checking in getting there on time I had to wait 40 minutes! That's ridiculous I could off gotten the few items 2 times by now! I called 2 times asked one of the people distributing and they told me to go inside they couldn't find my order and they told me to go back out side and wait. N. Texas Street, Fairfield, CA 94533 We waited on baited breath for the opening of the Wal Mart Superstore on N. Texas Street, in Fairfield over a decade ago. From the first day, it became out "go to" store for just about everything. We were loyal customers from Day One. Several years ago, "old age" with the attendant health problems changed our lives significantly. A simple stop at your 200,000 square foot superstore became an hours long and often painful experience for us since there was only one or two battery powered handicapped carts available -- with one always in use and the other always "broken". I complained to the store manager who told me the carts were "regularly stolen, which is why we don't fix them", which, as you can imagine, I did not believe. At that point, I came home and wrote the corporate offices asking why such a large Wal Mart facility was unwilling to provide the elderly, the disabled (including Veterans), or those with temporary injuries - with working battery powered handicapped carts in numbers a 200,000 square foot "superstore" needed - so that we could shop comfortably at "our" local Wal Mart Superstore. Within a month of sending that letter, "our" superstore had two new battery powered carts available to disabled shoppers. Unfortunately, that isn't "the end" of the story. I don't know what happened to those carts ... I only know that for quite awhile now, there have only been two WORKING carts at "our" Wal Mart and one cart that is never in service. "Broken" is what the employees tell us when it's the only cart parked at the front of the store. Our hopes that we'll be able to enjoy our visit to the store are always dashed when the door monitor tells us the cart we've seen - "doesn't work". Our local Costco has 6 carts parked and ready to go at its entrance, and though on busy weekend we sometimes have to wait a few minutes for someone to return from their car with a cart...it's well worth the time. Six working and charged carts available in a store comparably sized to "our" Wal Mart Superstore for those who need them makes good business sense....the money the disabled spend when they are able to get around the facility without pain MORE than pays for the corporation to provide them IN ADEQUATE NUMBERS. My husband has to sit in the car when we go to "our" Wal Mart Superstore if there are no carts available. That averages out to about 98% of the time. When I shop without a cart....I get the job done as quickly as possible, buying only the things I can get to quickly. No carts available means I cannot "shop til I drop" loading up on things that I don't "need" but think I can't live without. The local Neighborhood Wal Mart (Alamo Drive, Vacaville) has FOUR working carts available to shoppers, EVERY SINGLE DAY. I love the "little Wal Mart" but it is almost exclusively a grocery store/pharmacy.... they do not stock "non grocery" items ... which 100% of your disabled clientele, DO IN FACT, NEED AND BUY. Because of our age and our health (physical) problems, our trips to the local Wal Mart Superstore have, by necessity, been cut by about 98% since it has become more and more difficult for us to navigate Wal Mart's 200,000 square foot store standing or walking with only our canes for assistance. Our NEED to "go shopping" hasn't changed. Our DESIRE to "go shopping" hasn't changed. Our INTEREST in seeing what we're buying hasn't changed. The MONEY we have to spend on shopping is just as good as the money your mobile customers spend (in fact, we may have more of it since the kids are grown and gone and we own our homes now!).... .....so when is Wal Mart going to act like we're matter to the company and invest in enough mobile shopping carts so disabled customers can shop comfortably at your stores????? Certainly, as one of the largest stores in the country, doing more than "just fine" on profits annually....these needs CAN and SHOULD be prioritized not only for the disabled but for Wal Mart's financial "bottom line"! What's that old saying? If you aren't part of the SOLUTION, you're part of the PROBLEM. Help us to continue spending our money at Wal Mart. Do what needs to be done. DO NOT USE WALMART GIFT CARDS HERE!!!!! I got a $100 gift card from my job! Used it and the cashier finally figured it out on how to use it, so I go back the next day and use the remaining $50 the whole line was held up because the cashier didn't know what she was doing. They canceled my transaction and I went to customer service. And that's where Sonja was at she didn't have a welcoming vibe at all!!! She's like what you need? I tell her and she coughing all over the place not covering her mouth! She had a hard time figuring out the card then had the nerve to say maybe it's a "fraudulent card" SMH I said no it came from my job as a gift!! Very rude! She FINALLY figured out how to use it. Ordered John Wick Chapter 4 for curbside pickup. Arrived at Walmart at the designated time and location. Called the phone number for pick up. The phone rang and rang and finally went to voicemail. I tried calling again and the same thing happened. I went to the shipping department and showed the manager my email and order number. He said he couldn't find my order in the system. He directed me to electronics so I spoke with a person there. He stated they didn't have any copies of John Wick 4. I then spoke to the store manager who was absolutely no help. I had a pickup order today at Walmart located at the Ghetto one in Fairfield. This pickup service is actually a brilliant idea but you have lazy workers who don't know what they are doing. My pickup was at 2-3pm. I arrived at 2:20pm, parked in stall #2, checked in with a black color car and waited for 45 minutes. You only have 2 people working. I understand that you may be short and not getting paid well but where is the head manager? The manager is head of this place making over $100k a year! I had not been for a while, was getting dental floss pics valued at less than $2, the floss were locked and had to ask for assistance which meant I had to pay for my stuff immediately in the cosmetic area. The young girl at the register was not friendly. This trip was a huge hassle. I prefer target and this was a reminder to me that I should not shop here. I understand that this store obviously has issues with people steeling merchandise including cheap dental floss,but their customer service stinks. I counted 12 Walmart workers standing around and not one person open more checkstands. You people are pathetic and so is your store. I got my bags out of my heart and left all of my items in the cart in line and walk the hell out. I am not going to stand in your pathetic lines, at your pathetic store again. If I'm not the second or third person in line from now on at Walmart, I will simply leave that car there and walk. Fast Review: Only if you really have to go here. ----- Long Review: The manager of this store has ignored improvement suggestions face to face for over 3 years. The assistant manager has cussed me out to my face on one occasion. The bathroom doors are consistently broken, regardless of which side of the store you go to. Also what kinda store super padlocks the rear bathroom entrance?! Bathroom sinks only know one temperature, scolding hot. It's amazing no one has been hurt & sued them yet. An yes I have brought this to managements attention more than once. They just don't care 3+ years straight. Tortillas (moldy) & cans of beans (over a year old) are never checked for expiration (my experience on more than 5 visits). Seemingly only a few cashiers know how to operate the iconic "walmart pay" from their registers. Which even if your not using that payment method the normal debit/credit card readers are frequently down. The store has no wifi worth mentioning, so good luck trying to use walmart pay at all even if you do get someone who knows what their doing. As no cell service has the means to reach beyond the front doors (I think they shield their stores?). You would do better to go somewhere else, or at least if you must go here.. keep it simple, like really simple. read more

The worst. A lot of items are locked up due to theft which is fine, however when you ring the button for service, you will never get anyone to help unless you hound a million workers. The workers themselves are fine, however it seems management can do better by providing more timely service and resource their workers better. I've even witnessed a busy time and only 1-2 lanes were open while leads/managers are in the side chatting. How do I know they were leads? Because my cashier was so frustrated she was venting to us customers how the leads weren't doing anything to assist or open more registers. I know that was unprofessional for her to vent her frustration to us customers but I couldn't help but feel sorry for the cashier. I don't know if they were short staffed but something needs to change. Better service when it comes to unlocking aisles when needed, and better cashier flow. read more

I haven't gone there in a while...they were worse than I remembered. I went to get some car wash liquid, and it was locked up. CAR WASH!!! I pushed the page and waited for 15 minutes. No one showed up. Needless to say, I left the cart and all the other stuff in it and walked out. I should have known. I will never go there again. I'm not a Walmart person at all. Actually, I hate Walmart. But this is Walmart done right. The superstore is new, enormous, and above all is open twenty-four hours. The store resembles more of a Costco than a Walmart or Target. The store has everything imaginable including: groceries, liquor (including spirits), photo center, pharmacy, salon (yes, salon), electronics, and who knows what else I missed. The store is clean, organized, and well-stocked. Prices are on-par with local competition (Target). As I wandered around the warehouse, I wasn't helped (bothered) by employees, which I like. However, had I needed help, I saw several employees walking around. I'm not sure why such the low reviews; people don't know what they have. My local Walmart (Richmond), which is fairly new is a mere two stars, in my opinion, compared to this super Wallyworld. To everyone that gave this Walmart two or three stars, I invite you to the Walmart in Richmond and guarantee you'll be revising your review. I'm from a neighboring city, but was in the area this morning so I decided to do some grocery shopping here. It was my first time here, and honestly it didn't seem bad at all, as the score suggests. The store is neat and clean, well lit, and everything seemed pretty easy to find. Self checkout was pretty fast and streamlined as well. Maybe it was because it was only 8 am, but my local Walmart Supercenter is already a bit chaotic at 8 am, so maybe it isn't that. I live in the neighborhood, my daughter does not, but she brought my grand babies to visit today...... we came to Walmart on North Texas to get the kids a change of clothes since the weather had changed quite a bit. The kids wanted to look at the toys so we walked back there and almost instantly my granddaughter saw the scooters- which she had been asking for since hers had been stolen from their house last month. Her mom tried to deter her and walked her away. I continued to look at the scooters and realized there were a few marked pretty low. I started checking the mylars and saw that the one she had actually pointed to when her mom was pushing her away was on sale for $7.99. There were 3 on the shelf and it was clearly marked $7.99 so I grabbed one- took a picture so my daughter could see the price and took it to the cart. My granddaughter was sooooo excited and her Mom said she could get it. When we got to the register to check out the scooter rang up $29.99 . I pulled out my phone and showed the cashier the pics I took of the items on shelf and price, he said he would need to get a mngr for an over ride. Soon after he returned with another employee and a female mngr came right after, so there was now three Walmart employees behind the register looking at the items and the pictures in my phone. The mngr (we believe she was a mngr but wasn't certain as she had her name badge turned backwards) immediately said that it didn't matter what the tag said- only what it rings up at and asked if we still wanted it...... my daughter asked why they weren't honoring the price it showed and the lady said that someone must have made a mistake putting the tag there and again asked if we wanted to buy it for the $29.99 which my daughter did not so she paid for her other items, took my grand babies and left the store. I made my purchase, the cashier was apologetic but still wouldn't honor the deal. By the time I got to the car- my granddaughter was in a full blown melt down looking for her Frozen scooter that obviously was still in the store . I visit that store pretty much daily but doubt I will ever shop there again. I, and my daughter, have both worked retail in the past and although neither worked for Walmart, we were both trained to honor the price displayed on the shelf- regardless to whether it was correct or an employee mistake. This store does NOT do so and we had to deal with a very very sad 4 year old as a result.... (After going home and thinking about it- I returned to the store to speak to another mngr about it and saw the Frozen scooters were removed from the shelf- as was the Mylar depicting the price. Glad I took the pictures to begin with) ((Update... it is now 9 a.m the following morning, and I have been trying to reach the store mngr for over an hour now- but cannot get 1 employee to answer the phone ! Not the 1st time im having issues with the store either, just now understanding that the problem is sooo much wider than just poor scheduling, knowledge, and training . Another time I waited for a Pinnacle Whipped bottle for over 45 min, no employee I could find (since nobody answers the call button) "had a key" or knew who did have a key but after 45 min of waiting- I located a man walking through electronics dept who finally came and unlocked case and said it would be at check stand 7. I picked up 2 more small items as I went to the front of the store where there was ONE check stand open besides self checkout that you couldn't pay in if you had more than 20 items, had any alcohol, if you were paying with cash, etc so the line I was in was HUGE! No clue how long I was in the line- I was so irate at having to wait as long as I did just to be able to get in the line . When I finally reached the cashier I asked for the Pinnacle bottle to be rang up too- she looked around and said there wasn't any bottle up there! I then had to step to the side while they "looked for it" (more waiting!!) when I asked if they could have maybe returned the item to the case since the line was soooo long (?) but they sent someone back to check- it wasn't there either, nor was there another bottle! 2 HOURS and a massive headache later- I had to go find another store for the purchase! They absolutely do NOT value their shoppers time, money, or business. I once waited almost 30 min for a .97 cent can of Barbasol shaving cream with at least 8 employees within 20 feet of me and yet- only a street clothed loss prevention employee seemed to pay any attention at all?! Store is subpar but the real problem is management. Managers Bree and Tammy treat customers with no respect and have no fear of consequences. I used to shop here twice a week and had seen both of them disrespect customers before but since I saw them so much I didn't think they would lose their minds towards me. Boy was wrong. I did get to see why they get away with this. When one has a problem with a customer they call the other and it never goes anywhere else. They cover for each other. I used to love Walmart. You wouldn't catch me shopping anywhere but there. Times have changed, and you couldn't pay me to walk into either one of the Vacaville stores now. I can feel my bp rising just thinking about how every time I go to either store (usually having to hit them both up) they NEVER have anything in stock! Something as simple as cat food and litter is one example. My cat's stomach can get tricky to put it nicely, so I can't experiment too much. Friskies turkey pate. They will have half a dozen turkey choices, turkey shreds, turkey bits, indoor turkey shreds, indoor turkey bits, with vegetables, with gravy... not one pate. When they get our brand of litter in, i'm guessing its only a few bags because it is never in stock. The produce... disgusting and never fresh. Pretty much the case with any of their food that needs refrigerating as well. I have had to return cheese on at least 5 occasions because of mold, lunch meat twice because of mold, as well as their hamburger and chicken for being spoiled. I called to verify that they had a TENS unit in store one evening because my daughter was in horrible pain and there was no time to go to more than one store, it was verified as so, but once I got there- not one person- including a manager- knew what I was talking about and could not help me... which in turn left us stuck because at that point, all other stores had closed already. Well, I figured at this point i'd try to order everything online and then use the store pick up option. Thinking I had solved all my problems I get to the store, and the ONLY items on my full shopping list that were available was sandwich bags that they took it upon themselves to upgrade to the value size and believe it or not, cat food... but they had also took it upon themselves to exchange for a smaller size. I show up expecting a full car load and wind up with a few cans and a box of bags on my front seat. Why they did not think to contact me before wasting my time, I couldn't tell you. Gio, in electronics......yeah she doesn't get the five stars, she double charged me for an expensive piece of electronics and when I told he about it, she said, "Well, you can go talk to the customer service desk about it." Absolutely worthless. However, when I got to the customer service desk I met Sherry. She was insanely helpful, genuine and sweet. She got the refund taken taken care of, then went to 13 and got some from behind the glass items I had selected. She ensured the experience was pleasant and that I was well cared for. Ok so like many other Walmart's it's my fav store... you can literally find ANYTHING... this one in particular is always clean and organized and so well stocked BUT what you can't find at every Walmart is a complete food section with meat, lots of fresh produce and even a hot food are.... what is the absolute best is the RANCH FRIED CHICKEN WINGS.... fried patty wings covered in ranch dust .... hot, salty, flavorful and seriously addicting.... every time i am in the area it's a MUST that we stop and have ranch wings lol... and it's must be a fav of many because as soon as they were put out EVERYBODY that lined up got them and they were gone in literally 10 minutes.... weird thing to go to a Walmart for but they are sooooo freakin good so i totally understand read more
