I had a frustrating experience with an employee named Valarie at Walmart. I asked where I could find dish soap, and instead of directing me to the nearby aisle where it was actually located, she sent me three aisles away. I spent several minutes searching the area she pointed me to before realizing the item was much closer to where I originally was. Yesterday I had one of the worst experiences due to Walmarts internal staffing issues and automated system failure. I ordered several posters for pick up for a birthday party I was on my way to from Emeryville. I ordered them about an hour and a half in advance, and sent them to the Fairfield Walmart to be picked up since the party I was attending was in Fairfield. I received a text message saying my order was ready for pick up at 12:18 PM, however, when I showed up to pick up my order around 1 PM, I was informed that my order was not ready at all. My posters hadn't been printed or cut. I was frustrated, because I was already running late for my event, and I was informed via text that the posters were ready almost an hour ago. Something a staff member told me is an automated issue. I then stood around for another 30 minutes, waiting for someone to assist me and was continuously told that the person who was supposed to be helping me was on their lunch break. Eventually, I got so frustrated, I asked to speak to a manager and informed them that while I still wanted my posters, I felt I deserved a refund. I paid $50 for posters that were not ready when they were supposed to be and had to wait an additional 30 minutes in store for help. Not certain if the person I spoke to was a manager or not, if it is, she lacks empathy and customer service skills. She said " I'll print the posters for you, and I'll give you a discount, but I'm not giving you anything for free." It was never about getting anything for free. I had already paid for the posters. And would've paid full price no problem had I been able to pick up my posters as soon as I got there. It was about the lack of respect for my time and the miscommunication. The fact that they had me standing around the store waiting for help for so long when I had already received a text over an hour ago, saying that my order was ready. In turn, making me late to my event. Whoever " helped" me ended up giving me a $25 gift card, which I was not satisfied with. So much of my time was wasted in that store yesterday, I definitely feel like I deserved 100% of my money back and not in store credit either. Unfortunately, I was in such a rush, I didn't have time to go back-and-forth, I really needed to get on to my event, but had I had more time, I definitely would've put up more of a fight about it, because it's not OK for corporations to get away with such poor customer service and treating people so poorly. As someone who works in customer service, and have for the last 15 years, I would never speak to anyone the way I was spoken to yesterday. I will always empathize with people, and accept fault when I know we could have done better, and I would do anything to rectify the situation to keep a customer happy, even if that means providing a complete refund. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS WALMART! Please take the drive and head over to Suisun City or better yet Vacaville or Dixon where customer service is still being practiced. I never have an issue with any other store except this one, Specifically with "manager" LORRAINE. I've had 3 different encounters through out the years and for some reasons she's always the one behind them. On the 2nd one it actually made me not shop at this particular store for 4 YEARS! That's how horrible she made me feel, but suisun store had a fire and it was urgent. 1st incident, they had a fridge full of Starbucks coffee marked down to $1.98, originally $5.98. I wasn't greedy but thought it was a good deal, she wouldn't honor it. I told her she had a fridge full, she made me show her. Told me she would only allow me to buy 1. No big deal, I'm not greedy. 2nd incident I had just had a baby. We did a diaper raffle. I needed to change 2 diaper boxes for another brand, size or for wipes. I called corporate before hand to make sure I was able to do what I was asking because they were gifts and I didn't have a receipt . At Target you only need a baby registry but Walmart doesn't have that option. Corporate said "you're welcome to exchange whatever you like as long as it's under $100 and you have a California ID that will be scanned into our system". Guess what Lorraine turned me away and said I can't do that. I explained to her I had called corporate and she said it didn't matter diapers are out of the question. She made my husband and I feel like thieves. 3rd incident last week I went in to purchase a rice cooker because mine stopped working, walked in and out. Got the same brand I already had because I know how to use it, and it lasted me 6 years! The store was chaos, understandable since suisun is temporarily closed. While waiting in self check out like I went on Walmart.com to see if they offered a bigger size, noticed it was on sales for $16 instead of $48, SCORE! Asked the self check out person if they do price match, she said "it has to be Walmart website". I showed her, she said yes but can't do it at self check out I have to go to a register. Stood in line AGAIN, cashier now said she needs a manager. Grabs Lorraine, she never greets me and only speaks to cashier. I explained to her what I'm doing. She said my scanner is only showing this price of $48.99. I ask her what the difference is between the app and the website. She can't explain. I asked if they do price matches. She said yes but not mine. Why? She can't explain. I explained I've stood in line twice now, what does she do she grabs the ride cooker and walks away. I still wanted to purchase it. The cashier had to run behind her. She didn't ask, she just assumed I didn't want it. Called corporate. They told me managers don't make up their own policies, it's been about a week and store manager hasn't called me. Sad to live a block away and will drive miles out of my way in order to not deal with such nonsense. This is how stores start to lose clientele and slowly revenue and in a few year it will be an empty lot. i would give a zero if i can. I would like to file a complaint about the customer service I received at Walmart regarding a recent purchase. I recently purchased a Blackstone griddle from Walmart. The listed price in the store and online was $187 at the time of purchase. However, I later realized that I was actually charged $193. The next day, I returned to the store to request a price adjustment for the difference. Unfortunately, the customer service cashier was dismissive and did not listen to my explanation. I tried several times to explain that I was not asking for an additional discount or trying to repeatedly lower the price. I simply wanted to be charged the correct advertised price of $187. Instead of listening, the employee repeatedly told me "no" and stated that I "can't keep getting a lower price," even though that was not what I was requesting. I found the interaction frustrating and disrespectful because I was only asking Walmart to honor the advertised price. I would appreciate it if this matter could be reviewed and if better customer service could be provided in situations like this. About a month ago I went to Walmart Supercenter for a basic tire install. That's it. Simple. Shouldn't turn into anything. Car felt fine at first, nothing obvious right away. But after driving it for a while, started noticing something off. Slow air loss--about 1 PSI every couple days. This wheel NEVER had that issue before. Not once. My alignment on the car is perfect, so I will notice if something is a little off. So I finally take a real close look. Inner lip of the rim is bent. Subtle, not something you catch unless you're looking at it closely. But yeah, it's there, and it wasn't there before. I certainly did not have the slow leak before. Which means it happened during the install. Had to. Machine, bad placement, too much force--something careless. And now I've gotta go back and deal with it, explain the whole thing, and of course it's the same story... hesitation, doubt, no one wanting to just say they messed up. Like I'm supposed to prove when it happened, even though it's exactly the kind of damage you wouldn't notice right away. Just a tire install. And they still found a way to screw it up and turn it into a whole situation. read more

This review is specifically for their custom cakes. I get all my kids birthday cakes from Walmart and it is incredibly convenient, they have a ton of different designs, and the cakes are really well done. What I really like is you can choose the whipped cream frosting instead of the buttercream, which makes the cake much tastier in my opinion. I've never had any issues with on time pick up for the cakes and you pre-pay so all you need to do is go in and grab the cake and leave. You can even order the cake from their app so you don't have to go into the store and choose a pick up date and time. When I tell people that the cake is from Walmart, most people can't believe it. Had the worst experience with the most uneducated person working here. She was so ignorant and accused us of stealing because we were at the self checkout and of course had to place our own items in bags. So she automatically accused us of stealing because she didn't see us scan the items! She said she was watching us but obviously was too busy looking at her phone! I've stood here waiting and waiting and waiting, all I needed coming into this store was deodorant, body wash, and an eyebrow pencil. I had to wait almost 10 mins for each item!!!! it used to be worth it coming to Walmart for a better price but from now on, I'm going to another store that's closer with possibly higher prices just for the convenience of running in and out. This has become an all night event for very simple items. A little additional customer service training and manager presence on the floor might go a long way towards staff displaying a friendlier/helpful disposition. Encountered 5 staff today (*Asian man and African American woman working near the rear of the store, a young White woman near the pharmacy, a White woman sitting at a desk in the garden, and a young Asian man at self checkout. Out of these 5 people I asked the first two for assistance, and neither showed interest in helping me find products. Near the pharmacy the young woman looked up my item on her phone and told me the exact row to look on. Sorry I don't have her name but that was really nice of her. The woman in the garden sat at a table with masks and hand sanitizer. She looked in my face, and dropped her head. No smile, greeting, or desire to interact - least of all assist me. At self checkout I was greeted by the young man with a very cheery disposition who told me which checkout machine to use. *I believe this man was arguing with a customer who was disturbed that he didn't want to assist her. I LOVE this Walmart. Of course employees will have a hard time knowing where every item is; this is a brand new store with new lay out. Give them a break :) it reminds me of Costco type. It's open 24 hours, well lit parking lot; makes it safer for those late night runs to the grocery. I'm pleasantly surprised with their fresh produce which includes organic veggies too. You definitely can get lost here it's huge and I think that is why most consumers are feeling that overwhelming feeling.
