I will admit that I do like to shop at Walmart (although I love Target, especially their dollar spot strategically located right at the entrance) and had to pick up some wet dog food since we were out (my dogs will only take their medication with wet food, those spoiled little babies). Since my husband and I were in the area, we decided to shop at this location. I was surprised to see how ghetto this Walmart was, especially it being in Glendora (because Glendora is a nice city). Parts of the ceiling needed some major work and some of the customers just had that ghetto personality (we will just leave it at that...). I was able to find the pet section located at the back of the store and brought my selection of wet dog food to the front. The assistant store manager rang up up and was really nice and friendly, thus increasing my rating to 3 stars because of it. (This was well after 9:30 pm, so I wasn't expecting for any employee to be friendly and helpful at this time of the hour). Honestly do not see myself shopping here again though. read more

One of the nicer Walmarts in So Cal. Well maintained, clean, organized, with a healthy "We try harder" atttude that impressed. Maybe because the Glendora/San Dimas area is more of a nice middle and upper-middle class neighborhood, not blighted. Who knows? Nice selections of women's clothing, I found lots more here than several other nearby locations. read more

As expected, Walmart proves to have some of crappiest customer service in retail! Visited the store this evening to make a return at the customer service department, and then purchase a few items. Arrived at 7:20 PM... the customer service desk was closed! There were five of us there each trying to figure out how we could make our returns, and someone came up to tell us that they had closed at 6 PM tonight. They don't normally close at 6 PM, they just decided to close at 6 PM for tonight because of "staffing issues". When I asked the guy "you know how ridiculous that sounds that you just decide to close early, right?", he replied "yes, I understand, but our priority had to be staffing the registers". And of course you can't make a return at the registers. So, Walmart management decided to send a message that they're more concerned about taking care of the customers who want to buy from Walmart, but don't give a damn about the customers who need to come back with a return. And that doesn't even account for someone coming in to pay a bill, purchase a cashiers check, purchase a money order, any of those other services that they would expect to be able to do mid-evening only to find out Walmart closed that area hours earlier than they should have. So, now I have to come back AGAIN to do my return when I should have been able to do it tonight. But I sure as heck didn't make any purchases while I was here. Not the best Customer service. Will definitely never be coming back to this location even if I am paid. Went to pick up an online order for tires. Which to what i thought was common sense to go to the auto center. I go and was told I had to go to Customer service desk to pick up. We walk across the store only to be told we had to go pick up at the auto center. It was so obvious that nobody wanted to take the time and provide service to us. Which when you make it so obvious that you are too lazy to even go on the computer to check....that is the lowest you can go. There was nobody else at either desk that I can say....they are busy helping other customers. We finally went back to the auto center and after a 40 minute wait....the cashier at the auto center has the nerve to say...I'm so bored. I have nothing to do.... read more

Guys...who doesn't love a well-stocked deli? Am I right or am I right? Well, Walmart has a deli/hot food section that'll make you run back for more. I ordered a small helping of the orange chicken and it was BETTER than any I've had at any grocery store. The Walmart employee that helped me was named Carma, and she was as sweet as can be. I ordered some smoked extra sharp cheddar cheese along with some rotisserie chicken sliced for sandwiches. Carma asked me how I wanted it sliced and even showed me a sample just to make sure it was to my liking. All the employees at the Glendora Walmart were very helpful and very nice. Leslie is an amazing manager. Person on the phone told me this location had a certain crib, which they didn't, and i dragged my infant son to walmart to go buy it. Leslie from customer service was eager to jump at the chance to help me with the problem when 2 other employees expressed no interest in being helpful. I was even told "i think everyone in the baby department is on break" which is a funny thing to tell someone in general. Thanks Leslie please use her as a role model for all walmart employees! I don't know why, but some of the prices for items at this Walmart are higher than the surrounding Walmart locations. We have found this to be true a number of times. This Walmart is conveniently located off the 210 and 57 freeways. Unfortunately, they do get some strange customers here (yes, I am saying that knowing that I have shopped here on occasion as well). You can sometimes encounter some realy characters at this store. I love that this store is open late. It's nice to have some place to go in the middle of the night. Online pick up is located right in the front, not like my local Walmart, where you have to walk to the back to pick up. Pick up was quick and easy. No line, no wait. Was not crowded for a Saturday. If you are considering online ordering STOP!!! Do not order. What a nightmare. There is NOTHING convenient to online shopping when it comes to this store. I could have done all my shopping faster than it took to pick up. No one ever answers the phone, and it took almost 30 minutes to pick up my order. Then to get home and find out the main item for ordering was NOT IN THE BAG!!! So I called and was told I would be getting a credit for the missing item and an email. SO far neither has happened. Placed an online order. Later received an email stating that an item was substituted in my order. I tried calling multiple times (just kept ringing), and when I finally got through, the representative had a heavy accent / and spoke with broken English. In other words, the rep was not actually in the store. Their customer service transfers to another country. Many businesses do this and it's so frustrating. Why can't someone actually in the store pick up? The person on the phone couldn't even tell me what the substitution was. Came in today for a power strip code. I asked 3 Workers for the power strips and one of them saw two of them mentioned either the electronics and hardware section. I use the self check out kiosk.Afterwords,I went to the moneycenter to send money overseas. They were only two cashiers. The good, they have a good selection of products and the prices are good. The bad, The aisles are cluttered with displays of products. Why cant they put the stuff on the regular aisle where that product is located, why do they have to clog the aisles. The employees are always stocking the shelves and have pallets of stock blocking the aisles, this is all the time. Very hard to get to where you want to go. Lets just say the store is extremely cluttered. Then you try to check out, the last time I went they had 2 cash registers open and self checkout, the 2 registers had about 25 people in each one, the 1 register was almost to the mens clothing section. The self checkout was just as bad, I would have been in line like 45 minutes at least. They cant take a few of the employees from stocking the shelves and train them on register, It just seems like management is just stupid or dont give a crap about customer service. read more

As someone who normally does not write reviews or complain publicly about their bad products or mishaps, i think this deserves some attention. The other day I decided to go to Walmart in San Dimas California, normally i do not shop at Walmart but i decided to give it another try, to buy some new bedding for my bed. My boyfriend and i picked out a dark blue plaid comforter set that was said to be an 8 piece set to come with a comforter, pillow shams, a bed skirt, a fitted sheet, a flat sheet and pillowcases for $29.99. It seems like such a reasonable price for bedding since most sets are outrageously priced. We purchased this bed set and carried on with our shopping then returned home. As i get home i go to take everything out of the bag to make sure everything is accounted for to wash it before i put it onto my bed. While unrolling this, i notice that the only item in the bag is a comforter with an unbelievably strong odor. Everything else that was supposed to come in the set was MISSING. I continue unrolling the comforter then i suddenly stop in disgust. As I am unrolling this, not only does it have a strong cigarette odor, but i notice what looks to appear as white stains that look like body fluids, cigarette burn holes all over both sides, along with smears of glitter and some more stains. The stench and the quality of this was absolutely disgusting. I threw it back into the bag and went straight back to return it within a matter of minutes. When i was explaining to the gal at the return counter what was inside, she explained to me that when people make claims to return and state that the stuff doesn't work out or they do not want it anymore, they are told to just return it back to the shelves and half the time they do not check the product. Also she did not even want to open the bag to check the bedding because she was grossed out at what might be inside. She returned my money and i left the store. My personal opinion is that everything should be checked thoroughly and should NOT be returned back onto the shelves incomplete or unchecked. I have never had a problem with this Walmart. It is normally very clean, everyone is helpful, and the area and people are great. However, this experience was outrageous. I am completely disappointed in Walmart and the staff for letting an item like with bodily fluid stains and cigarette burn holes be put back on the shelf and be sold to the public. I hope Walmart changes in not only its return and claims, checking items, but in their quality as well. I am very disappointed after having to go through this experience. read more

I thought my experience was great when I purchased a canopy for $70 rather than what was advertised online at $120. I needed this canopy as soon as I purchased it today for a swap meet. I arrive at my swap meet planning to open my canopy and IVE BEEN BAMBOOZLED! someone returned this canopy and threw in their OLD TORNUP BROKEN RIPPED ONE! Now someone bamboozling Walmart is a different story but when the employees WHO CANNOT CLEARLY PERFORM SIMPLE TASKS THAT ARE TAUGHT FOR THIS JOB, have no regard for properly checking returned items before putting them back on the floor TAPED & SEALED advertised as BRAND NEW, it burdens your customers EXTREMELY. Tell me why they only have one register open with a person to check you out ? They encourage their customers to self checkout . I don't work for Walmart therefore I don't want to be checking myself out . What has happened to custom service ? I'm spending money and want to feel appreciated for my patronage. My other big complaint is that they are not accepting returns on clothing due to Covid. This place use to be somewhat inviting until recently when they put alcohol in security cabinets so you get to wait 10 minutes for someone to hold your hand and walk it to the register for you... slowly mind you, then only to be subjected to a (voluntary with harassment) search upon trying to exit the store with purchases. They would make the pope feel uncomfortable. On a good note, the store is usually fairly clean. Two stars for cleanliness. read more

I purcased 2 beach cruisers on line for my daughter and son in law. Cant believe how many times they messed up my delivery method, so i receive my daughters bike, oddly enough already put together on my front porch. Then I receive 2 bikes in consecutive days for my son in law. both left in huge box on the porch. So I send one back. Fed Ex came 3 days in a row after bike was already picked up. Box came with hole in it but since it was so heavy i figured it would be ok and plus i already wrapped it. i was wrong it had a bent front frame. no more available and since my son in law is 6'4, the only 29" bike works for him. so we go to bike shop to buy new front rims. when they remove frame it contains rust and water. what, i got a used bike. ok, 150.00 later i contact walmart and they dont sell used products...well apparently you do. of course i foolishly did not take a photo. so due to MY failure to take photo of THERE USED PRODUCT, im out. so thank you wakmart for your remarkable and trustworthy customer service. i spent thousands of dollars for christmas gifts at wamart.com last year, but no more for me. read more

I'm comparing this Walmart to other Walmarts. So no lofty review standards. This one is OK. I know self-checkout is going to take over completely soon, but this store tries to keep the remaining full service checkout running quick. Other Walmarts make the full service line so painful that you're forced to do self-checkout even with a full cart. Produce section is good enough. Don't like the checkout in the beauty section but that's like complaining about self-checkout. Both are inevitable just like taxes. They're slow when pressing the button when getting items from behind the glass. At least they apologize when they show up which means they knew I've been waiting a while and not happy. I've done nothing at customer service except for money center stuff and it's been good. read more
