I wasn't a fan when it was first announced that Walmart was going in at one of -- if not THE -- busiest intersection on this side of town, but here I am a regular shopper. Our family is a big fan of the pickup option for groceries - prices are good here on almost everything and the team here is really good about our order being correct. We very, very rarely have a problem with getting the wrong item or charged for something we didn't receive. Pickup speed varies day to day, but generally pretty quick. Inside the store things are packed tight - one stipulation of building here was that the store is a smaller layout than many others, but there's a lot packed into such a small space. It's easy to navigate for the most part though, and kept clean and organized every time I stop in. This store has grown on me, and is certainly one of the better Walmarts I've been in! read more

Our food pantry was in need of a large amount of turkeys for the holidays 2023 and it was suggested I speak with Brenda in the meat department at the location in Greenwood on State Road 135. She was a delight to work with and went to work on my issue in getting adequate supply before Thanksgiving. She was great at returning my calls and making all the arrangements to have my people pick up the turkeys in time for the distribution to our needy clients. Although Walmart has recently been struck by the overwhelming hoarding-purchasing of items due to the COVID-19 outbreak, employees here have worked timelessly to fill the needs for customers buying groceries. I know grocery workers that were recently unable to buy groceries they needed for their family due to the over purchasing of others. Bread isles have returned to filled and they are gradually catching up. Walmart has encouraged people to purchasing limits to promote us coming together as a community to realize we all need groceries and we should only be buying what we truly need right now in order for us all to work together during these trialing times. We just waited for over TWO HOURS for a pickup order. No one answered the phone and there was only one kid bringing orders out with all of the pickup spots full and cars lined up for a spot. When they finally came to ask my name after and hour and forty-five minutes I was told there are workers inside not doing their job. They still didn't bring my order for a half hour. I like to shop here even though there's a Walmart closer to me. People at the one are usually friendly unlike the one on US31. I went through the self checkout and had a couple of coupons. The girl Danielle acted like I was bothering her. She said she didn't know how to do them and walked away. I'm like, huh? I've seen them done enough I told her I would help her. She said no. She said I needed to go to a regular register to use coupons. I wasn't redoing all of this. She should be trained on something so basic as coupons. I asked if she would suspend the transaction and I'd take it to customer service. She didn't know how to do that either. Someone else finally cam by and took care of it. Give me a break. read more

As far as Walmarts go, this one is much better than most. I drive double the distance to go to this one rather than the one I'm actually closest to. This Walmart is extremely clean and always has a good amount of registers open. It's usually less busy than a typical Walmart and is easy to get in and out of. I've had good experiences at the deli and the workers are pretty friendly. I do find that there are certain flavors of some things that I like that are not in stock here. Sometimes the stock is a little more limited than I would like, but I still manage to get my grocery shopping done. Despite all of that, it's still one of the best Walmarts I've gone too. read more

I had ordered something online-pick up at store through Walmart website. The pick up was simple, relatively quick and easy. My order was ready. I also got a text notification once order was ready to be picked up. Considering that it's a Walmart store, this store is usually clean, well stocked and affiliates are friendly and available to help. read more

sat outside for a good 30mins-1hr waiting on one thing from grocery pickup. Several people had been waiting longer than I was. And several customers waiting behind us for us to leave. I get everyone is short staffed but if you have extra employees to spare maybe putting them on grocery pickup would help. read more

First of all, it's Walmart. With that knowledge in pocket, I decided to check out this new location since they are sort of close to my house. I ordered and paid for something online - to be picked up at this store's location. Unlike the reviewer before me, my order was waiting for me. I was able to pick it up with no hassle. This store was not as busy as some of the other stores I have been to that are also located around where I live. This location seemed fairly clean and organized. It's still less than a year old, so time will tell on how it will progress along. It also seemed easy to navigate around. In comparison, it's layout is different than the Emerson location. I think I like it better overall. read more

So, here I am giving Walmart 4 stars. By Walmart standards, this one certainly rises above the pack. This is still a relatively new store. Always clean, organized, and well stocked. This is all I can possibly ask for. If I had to choose between this one and the Walmart off 31, I'd choose this one every time -- no contest. read more

This is my first review. Im so upset i can barely type. Im in walmart, got my shopping done. Its 830 (closing). Ive heard NO ANNOUNCEMENT that they are closing soon or anything. When i get to the register im told the store is closed and i have to leave my items. IM NOT ALLOWED TO BUY ANYTHING. i hear other customers complaining also. So i leave w/o my stuff. Then as im typing this i see customers who were told to leave coming out w groceries in bags. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY ITS SO IMPORTANT TO KICK PPL OUT WITHOUT THEIR ITEMS AT 830. Last time I went here it took 15 minutes to get through customer service. Employees watching older woman struggle to handle the line of customers and stood around on their phones. Meat was very greasy that we bought once, good luck finding someone to get off their phone to help you if you need it. Went to check out video games to buy but workers didn't even acknowledge me instead watching me wander around confused looking for PlayStation 3 games never once offered to help just stared and continued chatting away to another worker. Ordered site to store and had a terrible experience. According to the tracking my items arrived at the store but stayed in processing for weeks. I called during this time, had my information taken and was told they would call back. I did not receive a call back. Called two days later and was told they couldn't find my order in the store. I was told it might have been lost in shipping and that it "happens all the time". 24 hours later I am notified it has arrived and is ready for pick up. Two attempts to pick up and they are unable to locate my order. Do not waste your time, pay for the shipping or order from somewhere else. read more

I hate to leave bad reviews but this Walmart truly left me no choice. Yesterday I made an online order that I could pick up in store (greenwood location). I received a text message and an email later that day telling me my order was complete and ready for pickup. I went out of my way with my 3 year old so that I could get this present I ordered and wrap it etc. I get there and after I was rudely addressed by the online pickup girl she proceeds to tell me that my order was refunded. I don't understand since I got 2 messages telling me it was complete?! She couldn't give me a reason as to why it didn't go through. As she is standing there picking her wedgie and fumbling around, another 2 workers come up and give me no attention except to exclaim loudly OOOHH I meant to call you and tell you we didn't have it in stock (even though the website said they did) But your number was not in our system.... Well, I said, how could you have sent me a text if my number wasn't in your system?!? ....crickets.... Meanwhile I left without my refund or my gift, and tried to call customer service where I was put on hold for 15 minutes and hung up on. I give up, and I hate walmart even more than I did before, which was a lot. So merry Christmas to me! read more

I will never shop at Walmart again! We went in to get a baby shower gift and the customer service desk person was rude and very unhelpful. We then decided to order the item online and it came to us in a busted up beat down box that had holes in it and the tape was ripped and even the box that was inside the Walmart box was beat up & warped like it had gotten wet or something.
