I literally never shop at Walmart. I haven't stepped foot inside one for almost 20 years, but I saw the viral cupcake flower bouquets on tiktok and it forced my hand. I wanted to bring something to a casual birthday dinner on short notice so I ordered one online. Unfortunately for me, as I was doing that, I saw some deals on necessity and leisure items and decided to order six other things as well to see if it was time to change my mind about Walmart. Here is my experience: Before it was even time to pick up the bouquet, one of the items shipped and was delivered to my house. It was a little card game for the party and it was $4 cheaper than I had seen it online other places. They did not package it in a box or in any way actually, it looked like someone grabbed t off the shelf and drove it to my house. That might have been a good thing, except that it was raining hard that day and they left it on my grass. It did have some cellophane around it so it was still usable, but it was definitely not in good condition. We were not off to a good start. Then, when I went to get the bouquet just before the party, I picked up the three in store items. Their was a wait to get my things but it wasn't too long or difficult. As I was waiting, a woman told me that she always gets here groceries here because you can order online and then just pull up in your car and they wil bring it out to you. I made sure to let her know that most ethical and local grocery stores offer that option as well. My experience in the bakery was also easy with just a short wait and I will say that for the price I paid, the bouquet looked amazing. If I were rating this store on the cost of the bouquet for the way it looked they would get 5 stars no question. People at the party thought I had paid $100-$200 for it (we played guess the price) and all said it looked amazing. However, there were issues. The party person does not like chocolate so I ordered all white cupcakes but when we started eating it, I realized they had made a half and half with some white and some chocolate. I was upset at first but the white cake was SO dry that the slightly more moist chocolate actually tasted better even though it was not preferred. The frosting was super sweet and overpowering and also somehow dry at the same time. Therefore it became more of a thing to look at rather than eat because it just didn't taste good. We ended up throwing 7 of the cupcakes away at the end and I don't blame them at all. So to recap for anyone thinking of getting one: Looks and price 5/5, Flavor and quality 0/5. If you don't care a bout the taste and just need something that looks good, this is definitely a smart purchase for the price. After this experience, I look forward to the next 20 years of never shopping at Walmart again but I am glad I tried them out, especially because if I hadn't purchased the cupcake bouquet, I was going to get myself one of their heart cakes for my birthday and I would have been so disappointed had it been inedible. As for the other items I purchased, I did get a better price on them no doubt so I completely understand why people shop here but for now I will pay a few dollars extra to go to local merchants with better quality and customer service. read more

This review is specifically for their tire center. I had a flat tire, and decided to come here because Walmart is typically the lower price for just about any and everything that can be found here, and other stores. I took the flat tire off, and put on the spare. I came here and they asked me what tire I wanted, etc. I was told it would be about an hour, there were appointments ahead of me. They asked for my keys, and took my tire out of my car. I waited 2.5 (actually probably 3 hours cause I was watching Netflix on my phone to pass time). I asked how much longer. I was told they don't know cause they have to take care of all appointments first. This made no sense because 1) if you have "appointments", you know how many you have to take care of, cause those are already pre booked. 2) I was told an hour, even with appointments ahead of me. So I asked for my keys back, forgetting or not realizing they took my tire out of my car, which in hindsight is weird if they had to take care of appointments first. I drive an hour or so home. I go to another Walmart, and realize what happened. So I come back here, and I called first and was told "oh yeah, your tire is all set and ready to go". So I thought "ok cool, it's been changed". NOPE! I get there, and my tire is still deflated, and when I explained the earlier phone call, the person helping me LAUGHED and said "oh yeah I don't know why he said that" clearly missing the que to use empathy and see this wasn't funny to me. The tire center here makes no sense. They wasted my time twice. I'll never come back and recommend you seek tire changes elsewhere, even if that means driving to a totally different Walmart. read more

I never thought I'd be saying this... but I actually had a great experience at Walmart today. I walked in expecting chaos, and instead found a clean store, calm atmosphere, and one of the best produce selections I've seen locally. Everything looked fresh and well-stocked. The clothing section honestly surprised me the most. It was organized, cute displays, and easy to shop. Big improvement. What I loved the most, though, was seeing more cashiers again. I usually shop online, so when I do come in, it means a lot to interact with someone kind. My cashier was friendly, patient, and genuinely pleasant to talk to. Security was respectful, the store felt safe, and overall the visit was way better than I expected. I'm actually glad I gave this Walmart another chance. read more

Placed an online order December 19th for a December 21st delivery for Apple AirPod 3. Got emailed on December 21 that they are delayed. Started inquiring about no delivery early January. After several calls and AI assistant texts, I finally went into my local Walmart. Explained everything to customer service person Ernestine. She took a look and started her research. After a call to a third party shipper and search on their computer she was able to get me a refund. I was then able to purchase them in store. Thank you so much Ernestine!! 7/26/25 - This Walmart is certainly different from mines on Hammer Lane. This was so quiet I thought I was in a library. Their set-up is similar, I was able to find almost everything I needed except one item. My grandson went and asked for some assistance and a team member came and showed me to my purchase right away. We were not in the store very long. I went through the self-pay kiosks with my three items and we were on our way home!!!! From what I saw it was a very clean store; well stocked!!! Their Walmart is very near some new homes, in fact, all of this is a new area maybe about 4-5 years old. read more

But I cant say enough how professional these two were and really went the extra mile to get me the right deal. Me and my husband went to this Walmart and we got a really cute outdoor furniture set. The entire time all of the staff were super helpful and kind. Jeffery helped us load it into our car when we realized we didn't have enough space. All around, it was a great experience and I'm thankful to everyone! I believe the other store lead was Courtney. Store is big and their products are like every Walmart yes. But the thing that is stupid is the way the workers treat most of the costumers. SOME workers are nice but others a just plain out rude. I just went here today and one of my cards declined, the worker instead of explaining nicely had attitude instead. Btw, some other day my friend who doesn't speak English went over there and tried to buy something. She used a card she hasnt used before and she was confused when they tried to explain to her what was wrong with her card and had attitude once again. She was trying to understand, then another worker came to help and explained the same thing but with a bit less rudeness. Still. Besides the "amazing" costumer service, there are no places to have your cart to enter once you have your shopping in your car which only leaves you to leave them near the parking space of a car. We came in looking for items for my daughter's apartment that she needed since she was just moving in. They didn't have any ice, but I guess this is the season when everybody would need ice on a hot weekend. So maybe that was the reason. We needed a shower curtain and a pole which they did have but they were slim on their selection. The staff is mediocre as with many Walmarts, but what can you do? Horrible recent customer service incident! Called because of a false advertisement from Walmart claiming they had ps5 in stock!! Was in stock when I purchased then all of a sudden out of stock 10 mins later!! Always busy, no matter what time you go. The parking lot is huge. There are two entrances to this Walmart. Left side takes you to groceries, right side takes you to home goods, other necessities, and pharmacy. I usually only shop at this Walmart for groceries. A lot of products I use are locked up and it does take forever to find an associate to unlock the cabinets. It's not worth my time and inconvenience. I purchase those items at another store. There is a large selection of groceries. That is the one thing I like. Several brands of the same product. They are in the middle of a remodel, and it has been frustrating to find certain products. They have rearranged EVERYTHING! I prefer self check out when I purchase a few items. It's quick and convenient. The line may be long but it moves faster than a checker. If I need a large amount of groceries, online ordering it is, and I just go pick up at my designated time. Associates are usually more friendly, they load your groceries for you. read more

I've never been in a store as adversarial to their customers than this Walmart. Not only is every single thing locked up, but no one ever comes with the key. Not to mention the human traffic cones meandering about blocking every single aisle. I went for 12 things. Gave up on 3, and I was still there an hour because none of these morons can stay out of the way. Not to mention the online shoppers with their large carts blocking product all over the store as well. Target is across the street and their stuff isn't locked up. Customer service, management for sure, make checking out more convenient, stop blocking all the spots at the north end of the store with storage containers, open up the garden center checkout. Keep cashier's at the registers. Teach all employees how to treat customers. I can honestly say that after going to the Walmart in Cabo San Lucas, every Walmart in the US that I have been to doesnt even compare. It's like comparing a Nordstoms to a Goodwill. OPEN MORE CHECK OUTS! When you only have 3 stands open & 4 self check outs and every one has a line with at least 6 people waiting, OPEN ANOTHER FREAKING CHECK OUT STAND OR 2! I waited more than 15 minutes for 1 freaking item! If I wasn't just passing thru & knew the city better I would have just dropped my item where I stood & left! Update: We are back in the area again for work so we found ourselves here again. Lots of items are locked up to prevent theft. There is a button to push to call for assistance. You may or may not get the assistance you requested. Pressed it for socks...No one came. Pressed it 3 different times with no help. Then Pressed it in cosmetics & although someone came to help, she had the personality of a wet rag. She actually looked angry. She rolled her eyes at my husband when he told her where I was & what I needed. She approached me with a no smile, no words were spoken to me & she sat there texting on her phone the whole time as she was trying to unlock the case, she finally had to lower her phone bc she was unable to unlock it without looking up from it. Rude associates and again, lines at the registers were outrageously long with several of them closed. All customers in line were frustrated & complaining. As a person from Stockton, I had several dissatisfying experiences with the curbside grocery pick-up at Trinity Parkway. I decided to come to this Walmart instead now. When I do this service, they mostly have everything I need for my order. The substitutions are pretty good. The employees are always swift. I appreciate how this location has a lot of items in stock! I come here often but when my wife comes here alone, a Walmart employee(named Borun), who usually works at the south self checkout location tries to chat her up, asking her personal questions like, "do you have a boyfriend", and such. I finally had enough when she told me he said, "bye hon", as she was leaving. We go there all the time together and I know he sees us together and never says anything to her when I'm with her. I asked him to stop harassing my wife and he told me he had a wife too, so go figure. I also talked to a manager but the next day he was there again. Has anyone else had a problem with "Borun"? Shop elsewhere. There's a reason this Walmart gets 2 star average. The customer service here is horrible! Who hires these people? I went there today to buy some fluids for my truck. There was an employee with a handheld scanner checking stock on another item in sporting goods just 3 aisles over. I ask him for assistance and he asks me what department. I tell him automotive and he tells me to go to the auto center and ask them there. I wait in line and i ask the employee if everything in stock is what's out on the shelf. He looks me in the eye and say s "I don't know, if it's out there it's out there." Obviously this guy can't understand the question. He didn't check stock. He didn't walk out to see what item i was talking about. He was being plain lazy. I saw there was a small stockroom next to the batteries. He didn't walk there to check either. Finally some guy that assembles bicycles came over and asked the guy to check stock for me. The same guy from auto walks by and glares at me and never comes back with an answer. I took my money and spent it at autozone. At least i can get service there. Hey management, if you're wondering why your sales aren't as good as they can be, start with hiring some decent sales floor employees who take pride in their job. Second, teach them to stock shelves. 8/23/2021 (Delivery) *Highly Not Recommended* Just got a delivery today from Walmart and in the pictures I have just posted to this review. I am wondering, *Coming from 16 years of experience working from a restaurant* Do these 2 products I just received look restaurant worthy? Would you like to receive this kind of product from a company that promotes the selling of fresh product? Not only is that false advertisement, but this type of situation has the potential to cause harm to an individual putting their life at risk with the possible exposure of Molds, Bacteria's or other harmful Pathogens etc. There are procedures in place for a reason so we could avoid such mistakes. You as a place for people to come and shop or get deliveries from, need to do more training in food safety, product date checking, making sure there's a final check of product before leaving the store. I have personally dealt with and was witness of OSHA doing their work with a place that did not follow right health procedures. This is a health issue that you have just served to my door today. I as a frequent customer of yours am not pleased in the slightest, especially with how much I had to pay out of pocket for the products I need. I would recommend that you pick up the pace and begin the training of your employees now before something really happens and you get shut down for health risk issues. read more

I remember years ago this was a normal Walmart. Now everything is locked up, and you have to go hunt someone down or stand there like a dumby for 10 minutes pressing their "call for assistance button" to no avail. If you finally do hunt someone down, they're always so depressed and run-down looking because 50 customers need something and they're the only one available. Walmart needs to hire WAY more people. If no one wants to work there, change the conditions to make it desirable. Otherwise this location is going to continue to fail, just like it fails its customers everyday. read more

Today was by far the MOST embarrassing day of my life! I was racially profiled at Walmart In Lodi CA I made a trip to Lodi Walmart at 4:40pm this afternoon, I spent about an hour walking around getting new home decor and household items for our new house. I went through self check out as I normally do when I make my weekly visits to Walmart, paying for all my items. I proceed to head out the door making it to the sidewalk when a female employee runs up to my basket, pulling and tugging demanding that I show my receipt. As she's holding my basket she then calls for security, A Male Security Guard then arrived to assisted the Female employee in preventing me from leaving , as I'm trying to walk past both individuals to get to my vehicle. I kept asking both employees to respect my wishes by giving me MY 6 FEET of space. The Male Security aggressively demands that I show my receipt or the cops would be called and I'd make matters worse for myself. I state, I don't have to show you anything given this time due to COVID I'd like to protect myself, AGAIN, please give me six feet of space. As he called the police, I assisted him in doing so and told him I'd wait for the officers to arrive. As I'm being held hostage at the door a numerous amount of people were walking past, the two employees were only focused on me. A couple who happened to park right next to me stops to escort me to walk to my vehicle to keep the Male security guard and the Female Walmart employee from harassing me. Expressing themselves during COVID they should respect my space and out of all people why was I the ONLY person stopped as multiple people walked pass without showing a receipt including them. 3-4 additional employees including a off the clock store manager or front end manager comes to see what was going on as a small crowd of people gathered in front of the store as well as onlookers. I get to my car after feeling completely embarrassed!!!!!!!! Decided to walk back into the store to return all $265.83 worth of merchandise. That's when the off the clock manager try's to talk to me asking that I speak to a front ends store coach. The Managers then removed both individuals from the exit door placing the cart guy there until I left. I ask video footage of the incident as well as for both employees names, they then refused to give me the names stating that was confidential and she was not at liberty to give out that information, and that the video footage would have to be subpoenaed to the courts. Unfortunately everything happened so fast, I wasn't able to record the incident but the City Of Lodi police has been contact and the incident has been documented. I literally cried in my car after being harassed about a receipt. NEVER will I step foot in a single Walmart again! Share & check in a Lodi Walmart! Your support is greatly appreciated. read more

My review of 2 stars is for the automotive tire center. The staff working in this department that I encountered showed severe lack of any initiative for their jobs and customers. My issue arose from a tech named Brandon on 7/5/21. His comments were extremely unprofessional and uncalled for. I did escalate my piss poor customer encounter with store managers and the corporate call center for the encounter. I will not buy any more tires at Walmart. read more

10/27/2022 son wanted a $50 gift card for getting a 4.0 GPA recognition at school today. Had a handful of dollar bills I wanted to get rid. Got to the cashier to pay, cashier asked me if I was going to pay in $1 bills I told her yeah wanted to get rid of my change. She then told me that because it was so many she was not allowed to receive that many $1 bills at once it shocked me and I asked her if she would be able to check for me. I thought that was ridiculous. In my opinion. She went to ask a few lanes away to another cashier comes back with a pen to check my money I over hear other cashier worker say he must work as a dancer. Absolutely no respect for customers. Ended up counting my money I had $30 in $1 bills and 4- $5 bills. So disrespectful. I would never thought of hearing this from a Walmart worker. read more

I placed an online order for pickup at 8:45 am, for pickup from 2-3 pm. We got the alert our order was ready at 1:45. We get here and park at exactly 2 o'clock. It is now 2:50 and the car that pulled up next to us five minutes ago is getting their order as I type this. We have been parked here for one hour. I understand being short staffed, but at least do the orders in order. Ridiculously furious sitting in my car right now, as the car next to me drives off after being parked for a total of 12 minutes. read more
