Honestly, who has the time and energy to invest in a complaint on Yelp the size of a novel over a multi-billion dollar corporation?

I shop at this Walmart regularly because they consistently have the products I need in stock, which I appreciate. However, the self-checkout situation is extremely frustrating. There are usually a dozen or more self-checkout registers sitting unused and closed, while customers are forced to wait in long lines for the few that are open. If Walmart is going to install that many self-checkout stations, they should actually make them available to customers. The store does a great job keeping items stocked, but the checkout experience is inefficient and unnecessarily time-consuming. Improving access to the self-checkouts would make a huge difference. read more

On Friday, May 29th2026 I purchased 1 ink cartridges from the this Walmart store, because it is close to my business store. I opened today I saw that it was opened before, the ink pack was wrap by clear plastic! I went today to return them or receive store credit, but Walmart at that location refused to do either because the packages were opened. How was I supposed to know they were used if I didn't open the box? The lady works there name Maddie, she was mean to me and did not want to help me. She gave me the manager phone number to call, when the manager want to talk to her through my phone even the phone was on speaker, she refused to talk. She said she is not allowed to talk on the phone with anyone. I wonder what is the point to give customer the support phone number to help when they do not want to help customers. I genuinely hope this feedback is actually taken seriously and read out loud to management, associates, or anyone higher up because this entire experience was beyond frustrating and honestly makes no sense as a customer. You guys are always chasing sales and looking at your bottom line, so I truly don't understand how policies like this help the business at all. I understand the importance of customer service and the overall customer experience, and again, I'm just giving honest feedback because I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who feels this way. I walked into your store with around 10 items, and many of those items were duplicates. First of all, almost every regular register was backed up with long lines and only about three registers were open, each with more than five people waiting. Because of that, I went to the self-checkout area thinking it would be faster. But let's be honest it's not even "self-checkout" when there's an employee standing there scanning my items for me. Then I'm suddenly told I can only purchase 10 items or less because "the system won't allow it." That is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. You're turning away paying customers over a technicality, even when several of the items are duplicates. How does that make any sense from a business standpoint? You're literally losing money and frustrating customers over a policy that clearly isn't working. What made the situation even worse was the gentleman scanning my items telling me I needed to put things back. I complied because I didn't want to argue or cause a scene. But after reviewing my receipt, I realized I only ended up with nine items anyway meaning I was forced to put items back for absolutely no reason. That made the entire interaction feel unnecessary, poorly handled, and disrespectful as a customer. I live near the Torrance/Gardena Walmart and already avoid Walmart because almost every experience feels disappointing. I decided to stop by this location after the gym just to grab a few things, and once again I left irritated. This experience completely reinforced why people are frustrated shopping at Walmart. Please stop calling it "self-checkout" if employees are doing the checkout themselves while also policing customers over item counts that make no logical sense. If Walmart truly wants feedback and claims to care about improving customer experience, then something needs to change because this process is clearly broken. I would like an actual explanation for this policy and a real solution moving forward, because customers should not be inconvenienced, embarrassed, or forced to put items back over something this unreasonable. read more

I love my local Walmart. I placed an online order for some produce (Avocados, Cucumber) imported from Mexico and paper consumables like plates, napkins, and TP. They also have good prices on toothpaste and mouthwash. I arrived early and the order was placed in my trunk in about 5-10 minutes. The customer service is exceptional. If you're hungry, there's an EPL and Raising Cane's next door. There's also Thai and Sushi across the street. read more

The women at the return counter yesterday needs to learn her job. She told me she would not take a return because they didn't sale the shirt anymore. We went round and around. She even told me to go find another Walmart to return the shirt. She claimed to be a manager but UNFORTUNATELY she has no manager skills or customer service demeanor. I asked to speak to someone else. He came promptly to the counter. Listened to my concern. Went out on the floor found the same item I was returning and promptly gave me a refund. Meanwhile Ms. UNFORTUNATELY (Her big word for the day) disappeared and didn't stick around to see her co-worker do the right thing. TRAINING IS KEY. read more

10/5/24 The 4th store, finally found the sheet straps/clips!! The very last set, where I can't reach, it's mocking me. By the way, when did Walmart start locking up underwear?! It's the story of my life, been looking for these suckers, sheet straps. Got the deep pocket sheets, supposedly, but every morning, it's same thing, the sheets come undone. It drives me up the wall. Could've gotten them at Amazon but I wanted a physical store where I can see the item in person. I think the ones I bought a while back was from Beth Bath & Beyond when they were still in business (actual store, not online). I set out to finally purchase them today. I went to Target TJ Maxx and HomeGoods. No dice. When I was at HomeGoods, I told the lady at the check out that it would be funny if find these sheet straps at Walmart. Sure enough, Walmart has them, the very last set (the only option, not much of a selection) and wouldn't you know it, it's out of my reach! I found a way to reach and knock them down. I was not about to go searching for a staff member to get them for me--that might've taken another 30 minutes. Check out was a bit strained, I was standing there while the cashier & another staff member were busy ignoring me. They were both talking to another customer who was waiting for service at another department. The customer said he was waiting there for 15 minutes & nobody showed up. I am not surprised. This was the reason I try not to frequent any Walmart unless I absolutely must. At the very least, I got what I came for & no one accosted me at the entrance. Mission accomplished. read more

Walmart continues to prove what a trash organization they are. I needed a car battery. Online they are $149.95. I get there & they are $154.99. I ask them to honor their online price, & they tell me they can't. So I told them I would just order it online & pick it up. They told me it would be a 24hr wait if I do this. Absolutely absurd. Online says it's ready in minutes. I ask the customer service, & they tell me they don't honor prices on their own website. I asked if it takes 24hr for an online pickup, which he looks confused & responds "no." I explained what happened, then he changed his tune & says "oh, maybe in that department it's 24hr." This is a classic bait & switch. The store should honor the prices they advertise & not try to weasel out of it any way they can. read more

I was at this Walmart on Tuesday, June 10th at 5:00. It wasn't too busy so I was able to get an electric cart that worked. My friend was with me reaching the items I needed. I got most items on my list. We checked out and left. When I was putting my groceries away, I checked my receipt and got very upset. I am missing a bag! My milk and 2 salads. I've tried calling the store Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday every hour from 9am until 9pm. I called every department listed and no one picked up! I even called Human Resources and no answer! Does ANYONE pick up the phone there??? I want to talk to someone who has the authority to credit my account. Once I get a response from the store, I will give the receipt number and items. I was unable to return the item (third party policy) and the supervisor, Elaine, claimed Walmart is not responsible for deceptive descriptions The measurements for the "extra large" pot 23x23 were in cm. Therefore the pot was actually small. I left the store without the useless pot. read more

Horrible customer service. my wife and I went in the 10 items less line. I bought 10 items for myself and on a separate transaction, my wife was using her bank account account to buy a couple items for herself. They wouldn't let us buy the second two items because they were in the same cart. Even though she was using her own account to buy her items. We literally were using our separate accounts to buy items for ourselves. She ended up putting her items back. I'd rather pay more and go to another store brand for better customer service, which is what I'm gonna be doing from now on. Walmart is horrible. read more

I went several times with my two cars for change the oil and two times they forget put back some nuts on the bottom so that on the bottom something come out on the freeway I can drive. It's making noise. I went to the Walmart and ask them what happened. This is sorry it was forget to put back that bucket so it happened another time I was rushing to work so I had to go near car dealership to fix it. It cost money, but they don't give me any credit Walmart. It is very messed up to time with my two cars. Had an awful experience here yesterday. My son got a gift card for Walmart for Christmas and he decided to use it on some LEGOS. We waiting for someone to come help us and waited in line to pay. When going to pay, I pulled out the gift card and was told he would need to check with a manager. Why? I wasn't sure, but I waited and told him no problem. The manager eventually came over and immediately rejected the gift card and said I could only use gift cards on the Walmart app. I was confused and asked why, but she just told me they couldn't use it over and over. Mind you, no one never even tried to scan the gift card and check if it worked. I was embarrassed and explained that I was confused because it was a Walmart gift card and they didn't even try it or see if the balance was there. Honestly, just extremely poor customer service. It was extremely frustrating because we had waited in line and made the trip specifically to get the gift with the gift card. I went outside and made an order using--guess what-- the same gift card. The balance was on it and it was completely fine. But the most annoying part was, it prompted me to pick up the order in store (I couldn't find the delivery option to our house) at this same location. So my gift card was FINE. The balance was there. And now I had to place an order to drive BACK to pick up the order. Very disappointing and I will not be back to this disrespectful, disappointing location. And to the manager that spoke to us, you have a lot of skills to learn with customer service. The way you handled that situation was poorly communicated and I strongly suggest explaining when you take it upon yourself to come up with "store discretion" policies. You offered no solution or explanation. You didn't even attempt to make sure the transaction was handled. read more

Your store should never be open if your customer service desk isn't open. If I can walk into your store all aspects should be open. I shouldn't have to stand there and wait 10min till you open the customer service counter for a return. That is atrocious and poor customer service. I visited to buy two or theee perfume as Christmas present but black woman in charge of perfume corner had me wait for over 15 minutes by pretending she is taking care of other customers. I found that a couple of black female employees have strong discrimitive attutide against Asian customers. I came back without buying anything. Other employees work very sincerely and professionally. Came to this Walmart during the day time on a week day. The store wasn't packed and the checkout lines weren't too long. I'm not sure how long or busy the store would be at night or over the weekends, but I assume very busy. During the time I visited, the store was clean and fully stocked, making it easy to find what I needed. The store is located off the freeway next to the Sams Club gas station and it has it's own parking lot for customers. read more

I have tried on 2 separate occasions to buy groceries online and have them delivered to my home. Purchasing online was not difficult, but delivery is a joke. I never received either one of my deliveries. Quote from Walmart " Driver could not find your address and delivery was cancelled and returned to store" I live in a 450-unit condominium that takes up the whole block. I gave them the condo name, main address, and instructions to access the gate. Driver made it to the gate! I followed the GPS, and he drove right by! The managers are worthless and they have changed their coding so our EBT cards, and Over The Counter cards for vitamins and health products are NO longer valid for items we have been buying for years. We get anxiety everytime we are "forced" to go to this store because of the location. There is NO customer service and besides that, they DO NOT CARE ABOUT US! Omg! Smiling does not hurt. This walmart drains my energy. The staff does not smile here. When i asked for help, the floor supervisor i guess she is. She stands with a clipboard in hand. I asked were can i find **&#$@. She looked at if i was making it up. All she had to do was take out her hand held scanner and checked inventory. I believe if your going to work at any place. You should know what your selling. Kyle came over and looked up product scanner said out of stock. Also staff should be dressed up im company uniforms. I couldnt tell who was a worker or a shopper. The vest does not do anything. Only makes them look ridiculous with pants that hanging realy low. And the shoes. OMG! Staff shoes looked like they seen better days. 8/16 - If I can give 0 stars to this Walmart, I definitely would with no hesitation. So first off, I'm in the baby section trying to get formula for my baby and I pressed the button for assistance and it took atleast 10-15 minutes to get some help! Keep in mind, I pressed it multiple times. Second, while waiting, two employees who were pulling some type of merchandise spoke with each other about, "Oh did you get the notification?" And the other guy said, "Yeah but I'm not going to get it" so I can only guess they were talking about the button I pressed multiple times. Finally, a nice Spanish speaking employee comes to help me but you can tell she was working in a department that was nowhere near the baby section so I appreciated her help. Third, I couldn't find an item so I start looking for help. I make eye contact with a young employee and as I'm walking up to him with my phone in my hand, he immediately turns around and walks away fast and starts speaking with his coworker as to ignore me. Why would I want help from that kind of person? I then go look for someone else and I ask this older lady employee for help who's right next to the baby clothes. I ask her if I can ask her for help and in a rude tone answers, "What is it?"I go to show her my phone so she can see the item and without even looking at her device to look it up to see if she has some on the floor or the back, she dares to tell me, "You have to order it online." I tell her how the app says it's in stock and she says, "Did you go check?" And I said, "Yes" and she says, "Then we don't have it. You have to order it online." I would've understood if she at least looked on her device and tried to help me look for it but that was not the case at all! *PS I worked at Target before and I was ALWAYS willing to drop what I was doing to help out a guest. I bought some glasses for someone as a gift before they left cali to maiamii and low and behold they end up getting a call and left earlier therefore I could not give them this gift of sunglasses from Walmart on 2/21/25 there for I had to return the gift lost the phyiscall receipt. I lucky always copy my receipts just in case this happens in which it did and 4:21pm 2/22/25 I brought in the product with its barcode on the product and. The customer service representative three of them was slick at the mouth ask me for a phyical recipe. I advise I took a picture of the receipt ereceipt and she said pull it up I did and she and her coworkers said they don't take those type of receipts that's a copy of the damn Walmart receipt. On Monday January the 13th I visited the store and I needed assistance in the over the counter medicine and Davi did not represent Walmart in a positive or professional experience. He never practice good customer service by not greeding me or the five customers who were waiting for assistance . I understand wearing a face mask for protection but it's still Walmart policy to greet your customer and he never spoke we were like soldiers just pointing to what we needed and if someone asked a question he never answered that's unprofessional it does not represent Walmart customer service policies and procedures. My mother retired from the Walmart on Rosecrans and Paramount. I greeted him he never said anything I said you should at least greet your customers he never said anything I looked at his name badge and greeted him again and he never said anything that was very rude. Unfortunately I had to return to that department because I forgot a medicine and I rung the bell and waited almost 8 minutes for Davi to appear again and this time he had his name badge was turned around covering his name that speaks a lot about his character and he's not good representation of Walmart in a positive way. I recently retired from the department of motor vehicles after 30 years of public service as a manager and I can tell you Davi should not be working with the public maybe he may be a more positive representation of Walmart if he is working in the warehouse where he didn't have to interact with people but that department is a very needy department and he should not be working in that department . I left Walmart upset unhappy and contemplating whether or not to spend my he hard earned money at Walmart!!! read more

2 days ago I was shopping and found these Sanrio hello kitty/ Care Bears collab stuffed toy for 9.99 unfortunately they said I needed to come back on Black Friday to purchase them. They were displayed at the bottom shelf at the infant/toddler section and they couldn't sell it to me. So today is Black Friday, went to Walmart again and saw those stuffed toys hk/Care Bears collab stuffed toys so I decided to add two to my cart. While paying they couldn't charge me for it and said they can't sell it because it's for a sales event in December. So I questioned them and also spoke with Jennifer manager and they still couldn't sell it to me. I am so disappointed. I shop their often I also told them that I came back to purchase them since they couldn't be sold till Black Friday from what another person said two days ago. And here I am again unable to purchase what I needed for gifts for kids. I've asked where I can file a complaint and they said to call 1800walmart. It's really unfortunate that they lure consumers displaying items without regards to the inconvenience of not being able to purchase those items 2nd time around. I am posting this because I don't think it's right for them to display items they can't sell.
