I've shopped at Walmart stores my entire life and I've never had worse customer service. Two managers (Patrick and Savanah) would not accept a return for a broken TV that my boyfriend and I purchased just YESTERDAY. We opened it this morning, brought it back in this afternoon with the receipt, and they're claiming the TV SKU does not match the receipt. This is ridiculous! They were rude and accused us of putting in an old TV when clearly the TV matched the description. I will not be back to this Walmart again. I can't believe they employ such rude people! read more

This store has problems with refrigeration and rotating their stock. Always check the expiration dates on the products you buy, I do. I often find outdated dairy products at this store. I often report these finds to the staff going into the refrigerated area, I have reported it to the cashiers, I have reported it to the staff at the service desk. I have reported it to staff with management name tags. Unfortunately over the last 3+ Months this problem has gotten worse not better. In May I have had 1/2 gallon and full gallons of fat-free and 2% milk get sour 3-5 days before the expiration date. This does not happen to the milk I buy for 50 cents more at Lucky's. I have appreciated having a Walmart in town and don't like passing it by this store to spend more money up the road but I do dislike not having milk when I just bought it "fresh and I hate pouring it down the sink. The store conveniently located and the parking is plentiful. There are always available shopping carts by both doors. The self check-out is excellent and a fast way to by-pass the long lines. The stock is limited but inexpensive. The staff has been pleasant with me. The store is generally clean. read more

I also like the Walmart as an alternative to the two Targets nearby. (Well, the second Target is about to open next week.) It is nice to buy things at abnormally low prices when I desire it. My husband and I went here to pick up a few things; lines were long, even selfcheck out was long, so we decided to go to a regular line. While waiting in line with two additional people ahead of us, one of the mangers lets someone standing BEHIND me and pulls them ahead to go to a register that just opens. Why someone didn't let those standing in line longer and let us know? I'm not sure but it was bad customer service, annoying, and had us stand in line an additional 5 mins more. read more

Thank goodness for this haven in Marina. Not much choices for dining near the Holiday Inn. So, we found this place to pick up a rotisierre chicken for dinner with a garden salad. Plus, there was watermelon on sale for $3.98. So, we picked up 2. Ha, ha, ha... Yup, we dragged them back to my sister's place and left her with 1 in her house. Part of me dies a little when I think about shopping at Walmart. I don't think it's a snobbery thing, I think it's the corporate evil thing. But like others have said, economic necessity (being broke) warrants a trip to Walmart, where I can get the most for the very little money I have. Recently I discovered how cheap getting photo prints from Walmart is and even had photo thank you cards made here. Even cheaper than Costco. Whoa. In the past, I have liked shopping at Walmart. I like the cheap products, variety of product options, and convenience. This Walmart, however, is anything but convenient and is lacking in it's management. First, the location is 15 minutes Monterey and Seaside. Second, I've never heard of a Walmart Supercenter that closes, but this closes at 11PM and doesn't open until 7AM. I may be spoiled by the Walmart institution, but to me, that is crazy this Walmart is closed for 8 hours of every day. I'd avoid EVER doing anything with the photo department (online or in-store). I've made photo orders online several times and gone in to print photos off of hard drives. The employees in photo frequently admit they belong to other departments and aren't trained back there, but they still lose photos and orders nonetheless. On one occasion, I made an order online for two sets of photos. I went to pick them up and the photo employee had no idea how to access the online orders. Finally, after I sat there for 30 minutes, the employee printed my first set of photos. Then the employee told me he didn't know how to print the other photos so I had to drive to the Walmart in Salinas to process the order. Poor management. Poor facilities. read more

FIND THE SAME (OR SIMILAR) PRODUCT FROM ANOTHER SUPPLIER!! YOU'LL REGRET ORDERING FROM WALMART.COM!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! I've placed ONE SINGLE ORDER (a single item) on Walmart.com, EVER. I've been trying to resolve that one order for nearly A MONTH and have spent over 9 hours on hold. Initial order placed 4/15 (account charged 4/17) and was promised a 4/22 delivery. When the order was 2 days late, I called to find it had NEVER SHIPPED! They canceled that order and placed a second. Promised delivery date was 5/4. I called again on 5/2. They assured me that it would be delivered on time. On 5/4, NO DELIVERY! Called customer service AGAIN and spent 3-1/2 hours on hold. When I finally spoke with a customer service rep (Anne), I requested to speak to her supervisor (Marcia). Spent an hour on the phone with the Supervisor, who "escalated the order" to the next level. She provided me with a reference number and promise someone will follow-up with 48-72 hours. STILL NO FOLLOW-UP from Walmart! Today, I am on hold AGAIN (for another hour and a half) trying to get some resolution. I finally got through to a customer service rep (Lei), and requested to be put through to her Supervisor (Dennis). The customer service rep then informs me that Dennis is no longer available and she will find another supervisor before dropping me back to the end of the hold queue!! read more

This Wal-Mart sucks. EVERYTIME I go here they never have enough cash registers open and there are always long lines to check out. My most recent visit was yesterday on a Saturday and I was checking out around 8 pm. They only had 3 cashiers. On a SATURDAY night. The guy that was helping us was named Sataar. He was so slow scanning our items. And we asked for our stuff to be bagged. At the end several items were still not bagged and he said oh you want those in bags too? Um yeah that's what bagging my groceries mean. And no it was not items like milk that have a handle. He left out bread a bag of chip a bag of potatoes some stickers and notebooks? He was a little older like 50 so maybe they shouldn't have him checking people out if he cant keep up. I'm sorry if that rude but I'm not trying to spend all day in checkout. read more

This Wal-Mart has friendly employees and large selection of products. All the staff wear masks as required during the pandemic. They only allow a certain number of people in the store at one time. When I went there was not a line though during peak shopping times you will have to wait in line to get in. The store is clean and the employees are helpful even during this pandemic. I'd give no stars if I could. Went in yesterday and needed something from in one of the locked up glass doors & I was searching for someone to open it for me and I couldn't find anyone to help me. I rang the little button thing they have for assistance. Waited there for like 5-10 mins. I went walking around to see if I can find anyone when I finally did. Walked up to the lady that works there and asked if she can open one of those doors for me and all she said while looking through her pockets was " oh no! My cell phone where did I leave my cell phone!." Then walks away from me! Like really!?!? Bad customer service like what the hell. So I walked about and thought you know what forget it so I went to the check out line when I see that lady again talking to another worker about her phone and she sees me and doesn't say nothing! This Walmart is pretty classy amongst Walmarts. Also, it isn't in Salinas, which is a plus on its own. Marina Walmart is always clean, the cashiers are always friendly, and they're always relatively well-stocked. My only problems with this Walmart is that it: 1) Got rid of its sewing department! I loved that little fabric nook! Bring it back! 2) The produce is ridiculously expensive, and not of the highest quality. I found fiberglass shards in a small clamshell of raspberries once. NEVER BUY EASILY PERISHABLE PRODUCE HERE! It'll all be moldy. 3)They don't keep their crafts stock up to snuff. They think that people don't come there for craft goods! I do! Otherwise, this store is pretty great! They have a garden center, a food court-ish place, and a pharmacy. It's not hectic at all in the store, and even the patrons who shop there seem to be a little more courteous. When I used to go to the Walmarts in Salinas, there would always be that stupid person who doesn't know how to count in the 15 items-or-less aisle. 64 items don't even look like under 15! I know, it took long enough for me to count all your items, you jerk! Enough of me ranting, though. It's a good store, but buy your produce elsewhere. read more

Wal-Mart always seems to have the cheapest prices around when it comes to food goods. However, you are sometimes sacrificing selection for low prices. That's okay by me though. I also go here to stock up on items like paper towels and toilet paper. Their prices just can't be beat, and they are open late. Plus I have found the cashiers to be consistently friendly and conversational, which is never a bad thing. read more

This is the closest walmart i have and it gets a very poor rating for this reason and thats for the toy section I am a colllector mainly star wars and I never see any star wars figures like The star wars Vintage Collection ever since its release in 2018 the store never updates its toy asile every week i stop by almost every week and check if they restocked any of the new figures and the toy section looks the same week after week just plain empty pegs with the price tag of another tot I mainly have to travel to the Walmart in Gilroy or Salinas to find the Figures mainly very poor toy selection I recommend someone To make it larger I remember when the asile would be so big now it looks like this wal mart in particular has shrunken down on its toys cant even find Wal mart toy exluisives! here its unaccetpable especially for a so called Super Center management better fix this read more

I like Walmart and this one is fine. The cashier that checked me out was very nice. what I have a problem with is the manager/supervisor (4/3/14 brown hair, larger frame female) that was "helping" me. I asked her a question, she didn't know the answer so she asked someone. we were waiting for the reply when a male employee asked her to come with him. they both walked away and didn't say anything. the man finally said "she'll be right back" when they were pretty far away. I waited and she never came back. Horrible customer service! they use to list the ingredients on their bakery items. today they weren't listed. no information at all on the packages. listing ingredients etc. is necessary for those that are allergic etc. Is it even legal to not list ingredients? read more

Couldnt find mens products this trip ie.. hair shave stuff, had to ask for assistance. they have moved the stuff and created a a space for womens cosmetics with an entrance and separate register. Youd never know it was there. The shave cream i was looking for is under lock and key..in the back of this stupied space...high dollar stuff! Ha, thank god its locked up! Gotta protect a 5.89 double pack of edge shave cream down otherwise i might be enticed to stick it down my pants and limp out. But the acetaminophen, Nightquil, naproxen and are all easy access for the kiddies. You also cant leave that area without paying first. I left my basket of other thing and left. Hello target! Smaller than most of the "Mega-Stores" you normally see and associate with Wal-Mart Prices are good to fair, and selection is poor to moderate. The onions, potatoes, lettuce and bell peppers are always decent in price and size. Most other produce is good at a good price, except for fruit where often you may not find anything in great condition. Meat seems to become more expensive here every month, but the quality is good. Seafood selection is poor and expensive. Eggs here are always a mess. No gluten free baked goods, or dairy free substitutes. :( The health and beauty section is more than adequate. The crafting section is not bad given how small it is. The DVD selection is spotty, probably due to the high amount sold through the little section. Same with the rest of the store, including sporting goods, office supplies, kitchen accessories, etc. Checking out is a real gamble, as it can be no waiting, or it could take you an hour. You will have to wait for a long time for help with fabric, no matter how busy, or not, the store is. read more

Cashier was a total bitch. 1st she argued with us when we questioned a price, then after I went all the way to the back of the store to get the price tag (knowing one of their associates would take too long), she argued about the description. As I leaned over to show her the name of the product, she turned away from me, pulling the tag away & turning her back on me. By then, the manager was there. I said that was so rude, & the manager explained that it was a safety violation for me to be near the cashier. I explained a better way to handle the situation would be to explain that to the customer, to which they both argued with me. The cashier also did not divulge all the requested info. The clothing department manager wasn't there to adjust the price. The lady by the fitting room mentioned if I wanted to. I can wait for an hour since she was on her lunch break. She told me I can shop around more and come back. So, I did that. She page the manager about 15 min later she finally showed up. The lady by the fitting room explained to her. The manager looked at me and told me they cannot adjust the price since it is on the computer. I knew she was bullshiting me. So once she said that. The fitting room lady told her I had been waiting for an hour for her. Then immediately she adjusted it. Wtf! Just cause I am asian and you don't want to help me. This is complete bull! Her name is Trish. I think. Why don't u fire the manager and hire a different one?! Like a few good employees you have there. Idk we don't have any!" After that I just said "you know what then forget it ,never mind I'll look for it myself!!" Same associate in electronics have my girlfriend the run around with a go phone. Kept her there for over an hour, assisting other, non white customers, and consistently ignoring her. I've lived in marina since 2015 and come to this store pretty regularly. I generally use the self check out because it's faster/easier. Today I went to use the self check out area (which was totally empty) and was told I can't because I had over 20 items (fair enough) so I went to check out at a regular register. I ended up in line behind six carts (really full carts) and finally decided to just put some stuff back so I could use self check out instead of waiting. I mosey on back to self checkout and the same staff member tells me I have too much stuff again. I told her I put some things back but she said I need to go back to the staffed register. So I do, annoyed, with my 19 items. On the way out the receipt checker scrutinizes my receipt, looking through my cart (right after I left the staffed register). I was angry when I left and realized after it's because I felt disrespected and overly controlled. I'm not going to patronize this store anymore, like another reviewer said before me, they are driving good customers away. read more

Be careful when you got a receipt from Walmart and they asked you to do a survey it's a fraud. What they do is they ask you to take a survey online you can win a gift card or X number of a check amount. And they say they will send you it in the mail or send you a report to do on Walmart. Do not fill this out it will mess up your checking account with banks. It will act like a actual survey website asking you did they greet you out the door , was the store clean, what's the cashiers name , it safe and so on. It is a scam do not fall for it they do this so once your account is frozen either when it is clear the check then you only get 200.00 of it and have wire back 80% of money to them . This is strictly for the woman who does the greeting and checking of the receipts at the door. She's amazing! Every time I come in here she is smiling and so cheerful! She greets you with a smile, she opens the door for you and she signs your receipt with a smiley face. It just makes the vibe all that much better. She seems like she really loves her job. I really do hope this woman gets a raise and is recognized for what she does because that right there is dedication. Don't believe me? Go to the Walmart in salinas and see how you're treated. You're lucky if the employees even speak or acknowledge you. There is no other place that I've been that has the level of customer service and customer appreciation that this place does and it's all because of that lady. Living in Marina temporarily and compared to all the Walmarts I frequented from this area to the Midwest this place is a joke. Can no longer buy alcohol there because every single time there's a major shortage of clerks so not being able to use self check out with alcohol must wait forever in line and why on earth is there an average of 2 to 3 clerks on a busy evening every time. While in the Midwest there was a clerk at self check out who could ring up alcohol before moving on to doing the rest myself but these idiots in management aren't doing this for whatever reason. Also the first time ever at any supermarket chain no hot rotisserie chickens were available. Corporate needs to step in and fix this crap show. read more
