Expensive oil change for my car and didn't have the oil for my 2014 Toyota Prius for the good price of the Pit Crew oil change for Quaker State brand which I truly wanted. Stupid Capitalism! I feel sorry for the Walmart employees who do not deserve to be treated badly by a big corporation. Auto manager had a problem figuring out how to switch off the maintenance required screen on my car. I butted in which two minds work great as one and pulled up my YouTube to teach me how to do this and told the auto manager my auto book should be in the glove box. He went threw my book and still couldn't get it. Until, I went to sit inside my car in the drivers seat and figured by my own. Ive been coming to this store before it even turned 24hrs. The best part now is that they finally have groceries so for all my late night hunger:) I tend to come here when they begin stocking up at midnight, and Im always looking for them kimchi noodles! Those noodles are the BEST! So being there on time to get em is pretty fuckin rare at this store. The customer service seems to change when the overnight crew comes in, their all rude and creepy espicially the supervisors who orchestrate the whole overnight shifts. I love the filipinas cashier cause their always nice and super chill with me. Their the only reason I continue to shop and gave them one extra star. I needed to buy groceries yesterday, so I figured I would try the Oceanside Walmart.They were super low on inventory in the grocery section of the store. There were empty shelves in many isles (including the entire bakery section) where food used to be. I kept seeing many employees taking stuff off the shelves and putting food items in shopping carts while I was shopping. Unfortunately not one employee offered any assistance or even a "hello". It kind of looked like they were closing down the grocery side. Not sure what was going on. The rest of the store seemed fine. Checking out was quick, and the cashier was very nice. read more

Horrible experience today would give 0 stars if could. Went to money service waited there for about 5mins before the team lead at the time said she couldn't help me because she needs to go and I had to wait til elisa was available,that's fine she didn't need to be rude about it. By this time a line was already forming. Elisa was dealing with the customer in from of me and needed a manager over ride. She called multiple time on the phone for help but no one picked up. She was trying her best to reach someone and had no luck. She ran into coach Carla and she couldn't override cause she had no keys by this time,but there was a huge line already she should of helped Elisa as quick as possible to try and make the line smaller. But no she went to find Melinda who was the only one in the whole store who could override it. There were other employees trying to help out but no luck they had no access to override. It took over 45mins for Carla to come back with Melinda and then start helping. If she is a coach Carla she needs to have access to keys to override being in the position she's in.And if Melinda is a manager she she of hopped on after her override was done and tried bringing the line down not just leave like she was being bothered. If you guys are gonna leave an employee like elisa all by herself and have a huge line going from money service all the way to the aisle is ridiculous. She needs to be able to override or make her a manager to do so or have one with them at all times. This walmart is very convenient for me. It's very close to my house, has self checkout lanes. Only problem with the self check out is the people who are working the self checkout are extremely slow to help people out when the machine is asking to see an associate. Or sometimes there is no people working in the self checkout and then we have to wait in line for another 20 mins because of how packed walmart is read more

I never knew this was a Supercenter either, which is super convenient, but I don't live up here and I probably still wouldn't shop for food here anyway. I'm sure its just a matter of time before the Supercenter near you opens, its sad because they tend to monopolize all the other groceries in the area and they have to close because they can't compete with the super capitalist operation that is Wal-Mart. This was Walmart's first Oceanside store, and now that it's remodeled into a Super Walmart, it's no longer overly crowded inside and is kept up much better than before. We like shopping here mainly for groceries, as they regularly (that doesn't mean always!) beat the chain grocery stores prices. They've a Subway sandwich shop with the usual peculiar smell as you walk in that I've yet to try. We have tried the hot food area though and they've nice things like the usual whole chickens, General Tsao chicken, normal and spicy chicken strips, corn dogs, fried okra, mac & cheese, etc. There is also a deli next to it with a decent selection of meats and cheese. The service however is lacking. Each time, it seems like the clerks behind the counters would rather do anything but help customers as they will look up at the customers, and then go about their business for a couple minutes more. No acknowledgement of a customer like I get each time at an Albertson's or Vons; and while the deli meats are cheaper than either of those stores, I have found the quality to be a little lacking. Grocery selections compete with most grocery stores here and of course, there's the regular part of Walmart with all the goods you've come to expect from Walmart. The aisles here are a pretty good size which is nice, as I don't have to pick and choose a spot to look at the goods while fearing being hit by someone else's cart when they are impatient to get by like the Jefferson & Marion locations. This location also has a Tire & Lube center and as is typical of a Walmart, it pays to get in line early or you could be there for a while with the line of cars that will build up here. read more

Waited 30 minutes for an employee to unlock a cabinet for me. Went in to get two things for a friend's birthday: flowers and a bottle of brandy. I asked 2 employees to unlock the cabinets for me after waiting 15 minutes. There were other customers waiting too. We had pushed the service button many times and it seemed to be broken. One employee kept saying she'd get someone and obviously didn't. Took 30 minutes to get someone to unlock it. Anna (I believe she had ginger hair and glasses) was the only helpful employee I came across, who didn't have the key but went out of her way to find it. She showed care for the customers and had patience with our frustration. Hopefully she's valued highly by management, she's the only reason this isn't a 1 Star. read more

Came here looking for duct tape and boxes one day. Went in and immediately knew where to go because the signs of the isles were very big and clear. Somewhere along the way, this store changed the way they operate. It appears they do the majority of their stocking during the day. Large carts with cases of goods and people to deal with it. Three points on this: 1. These people are in the aisles during busy shopping hours. They are in the way. 2. This has to be very labor intensive due to poor productivity. I would guess they are taking 4x the amount of time as doing it at night. 3. I question the temperatures of the refrigerated and frozen items when 1 person is stocking over 40 cases. The shelves are in a constant state of disarray. There are thousands of items that are not out. Staples like canned tuna in water. Terrible place to shop. Lower prices mean little when you have to go to another store to buy what you were unable to buy at Walmart. read more

I worked the graveyard shift for many years. Walmart is usually the only place open on my day off (night off). The vast majority of my experience at this Walmart is from midnight to 3am. Be warned... if you go here overnight, you will find it hard to navigate the isles because of all the hard workers prepping the store for the next day. Keep your head on a swivel or you're likely to get pummeled by a pallet jack. Other than my crazy midnight adventures, this store is great. It's very clean and well stocked. It's got a full grocery section and a garden section. There is plenty of parking and it's located in an area with multiple exit options. read more

I am not a fan of Walmart in general, simply because of the way that they treat their foreign workers, and the way that their workers act as though they are being inconvenienced every time you try to ask them for information. That's if you can find a worker at all. This particular Walmart location is unfortunately closer to my house than Target, which I definitely prefer over Walmart from everything from cost of items to quality of items to their business practices and the way they treat their employees. Today's visit is a necessary evil because we do need some items immediately that we do not have time to travel to the nearest Target to get. I will be sure that we are in and out as quickly as possible, and that we do not give these people anymore money than what they absolutely require from us on this visit. I am not, nor will I ever be a fan of Walmart. This family is one of the richest families in America, yet they pay their workers peanuts while they live in multimillion dollar mansions. I just can't get behind us kind of business practices. The Waltons are one of the greediest families in this country. That is the high price of low-cost items. This is the first time in a year that I've been here, and I do everything I can to ensure that this is not a common practice. Even being in the store makes me feel dirty. I took my car here to get a new tire last weekend. The mechanic, which was the first point of contact was awesome. He was super straight forward with what exactly I needed to get. He said I would get a call in a couple of hours once they were finished. After waiting to hear from them for 4 hours, I called them which they said my car was ready to go. When I got there to pay, I walked up on an angry customer talking to the Walmart employee... the gist of his story was they charged him for something he didn't ask for or needed. The Walmart employee was a woman who barely spoke English and just kept saying sir this is what is on the receipt.. their convo went in circles. She was RUDE, did not apologize for Their mistake in charging him for something he didn't ask For.. actually it was funny because the Customer (who was upset) apologized to the Walmart employee! It was ridiculous and the WORST customer service I had ever seen. Another thing I noticed is how casual the employees with each other in front of customers. Their pharmacy center is a complete joke. After dropping off my medicine subscription they told me to come back in 15 min, 20min later I go back and they tell me it's going to be an additional 30min. I go back 40min later after waiting in their parking lot and while their looking for my subscription I over heard the pharmacist that she lost my order and had not even began to make my subscription yet. After being frustrated with their service and joke of time promises, they guaranteed me to come back in 30min and it would be done, I decided to go home and came back 1 1/2 hrs later and what do you know, still not ready. My last 2 visits convinced me the staff just does not care My most recent visit, I waited 10 minutes for the cashier to receive 1 dollar bills from her manager. I eventually gave up and went to another line On my visit before this, it was 11:30 PM. Only one cashier and no self-check out (self-check out closes at 11 PM). So much for 24-hour service. We were checking out in a lane and we had a basket full of stuff (we only shop once a month) but we also needed to make our card payment.
