Went last night to do some shopping at my local Walmart off college blvd in Oceanside,CA my boyfriend was racially profiled by one of the employees while he was grabbing socks and shirts which they lock up in the cage ... she told him that she had to take it up to the front register and when he's done shopping he can pay up there. BUT when I asked her for some shoes that was locked in the cage she allowed me to have me leave it in my cart. Note that when I asked for assistance in shoes he was NOT with me, yet when he asked her for assistance to get his socks and shirts she made sure to grab it and take it to the front registers... well about an hour later of shopping we go to the front and she never takes the shirts and socks up front.. so we are at the front another 30 min looking for the missing items. Mind you it's about 10pm so it's one register open so the line is being backed up. The cashier continues to search for it so I help her well I go to self checkout registers and ask the gentleman working there if someone happen to bring the items and he is just very rude and his tone was condescending .His body language to the no eye contact was very unmannered. The fact that I lived in this city my whole life and always shop at this particular store I've never had this experience while shopping here. I mentioned all this to the supervisor at the time and the response I got from her was to "take the survey"...Corporate will be contacted. read more

Standing at bike cabinet. Called in THREE times and waited over 15 minutes to get an item in the case. Not sure why it's even in a case when it's under $2. Associates kept walking by, but no one had keys & said someone else would come. Who?! If they get called even more than ONE time, it should be the mamager's responsibility to show up immediately & take care of the customer. They should bear the imconvenience & better organize the associates, not the customer. I'm not asking you to find the cure for cancer. I'm not in Europe where terrible service is the standard. The only option for zero stars is to not write a review, but after numerous agonizing trips to this painfully conveniently located wal mart...I'm done. I will not go back to this store. Not ever. Monday evening was the straw that broke the camels back. I got there at 5:43 pm for the sole purpose of buying a can of gold spray paint, which as we all know is locked up (just like the razors, which was a VERY similar experience), no biggie, but if you're going to lock up product you're selling, have somebody nearby that has keys to unlock it. I waited about 5 minutes before I left the paint department in search of an employee in a neighboring department. Spotted one, she didn't have keys and didn't know who did, but suggested I ask electronics to page somebody over the intercom. (The Walmart way includes a "10 ft rule, you have a customer within 10 feet, you greet them and see if they need assistance, Sam Walton would be rolling in his grave if he saw how these employees react to customers, I say this with 7 years of quality customer service experience working for wal mart) anyways, I finally find somebody in electronics, she says she will call for assistance, and I can wait by the spray paint. So I go wait, another 5 minutes, no page. I go back to electronics and she's no where to be found. So I ask the lady at the fabric counter to page somebody, well, she was too busy and told me to go to sporting goods to ask. (Seriously, over a $4 can of paint). I bite my tongue and go to sporting goods, nobody there, I wait, nobody comes. So I used my past experience and dialed (are you ready for this???) #96 on the phone, I PAGED AN ASSOCIATE MYSELF!! Do you think it worked? NO! So, fed up, I go to the fitting room which I know the associate is taking in all the calls to the store and can page a manager, so I explained my frustration and kindly asked her to do so. She did. (Wow, for once, an employee that cared!) the managers response "I'll be there in a minute". So again, I waited, 8 minutes. I was annoyed and said forget it, I'll go to lowes, but the kind lady asked me to wait, and paged another manager, again, the manager on the other end replies "I need to head to the registers, what does the customer want, can somebody else help them?" SO DONE, just. So. Done. I left at 6:27, WITHOUT that lousy can of paint. Save yourself the frustration and steer clear of this madness. read more

sucks that this is my local one since there are 200 in oside. its never stocked, ever. once i had a full on brand specific list of everyday food items to get for a charity. probably out of the 50 items listed, only 2 were fulfilled. so i went to the wmart on marron rd and lemme tell you it was so easy to find all of the items. which i will yelp about after this one. 3/3 workers i asked for something and they said they were on break but to hold on n they will grab someone. if i waited, i would still be there. n lets not get started on their pharmacy--always losing my family rxs and/or filling the wrong ones... oh and the separate opthm business there? dishonest, dishonest! and come to find out, it was the manager that straight up lied to me. i need to see if they have a yelp so i can give them a star they dont deserve. read more

3 hours for a measly oil change. Ridiculous. First off, they have Goggles working the electronic keypad collecting everyone's car info, who apparently has trouble reading the screen even with his binos strapped to his face. He looked as if he was plugging my mileage into the quadratic formula. Two out of the six employees actually had tools in their hands, while the others patrolled the perimeter gossiping like little girls. Yes, we know American Idol was great last night but my car has remained motionless for the past two hours. Eventually one of the employees grew tired of the scenery and decided to drive my car around to the back. By then the line of cars had stretched around the parking lot. Alright..well why is this place SO unstocked? This Walmart has been unable to stock a product that I have been looking for in 2 months. I come in about once a week to check to see if they have the item and consistently no...they do not. I have also come here to look for an office plant...I go out to their "garden department/storage area" to try to find a plant. The "garden department" also acts as an overflow of unpacked merchandise storing area...mind you this is not 3-4 boxes...it's more like 20-30 crates of crap that is blocking isles. I get so frustrated that I just need to leave the area. The most hilarious moment was when I walked out of the garden department and the lady asked if I had found a house plant like I was looking for...I laughed and said no there is NO WAY I'm climbing over crates of merchandise to find a houseplant. She said "what??? no there arnt!" I told her that she can go look for herself and I would go to Lowes. This store is amazingly aweful...save yourself many headaches and just avoid this store like the plague. read more

This store allowed someone to use my stolen credit card to purchase all they could hold without asking for identification. It's 2019, and identity fraud is bigger than ever, and they don't ask for ID? Also, my picture is on my credit card which makes it even worse. Had the cashier been remotely interested in doing his/her job, they'd have seen my face on the card didn't match that of the credit card thief standing right in front of them. All of this could have been avoided if they'd done their job and ask for ID on a credit card purchase (like policy states they are supposed to do when a PIN isn't used). read more

It's your typical Wal-Mart. Granted that it's the busiest of their three stores in the area but they manage to keep the store well-kept and stocked. If you can't find that specific item you're looking for, pay no more mind and just hop over to Target or Ralphs. Simple fix. I've been going to this store for years and have never had problems with service or product. As much as the employees at this store get a bad rap, I can't say I blame them at times. Some of the zombie-like customers who I've seen come through on some days are just rude and awful and should probably be refused service. THIS LOCATION DOESNT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR. I come here every week. I hate this location SO MUCH. The only damn reason I come here is because it's the only Walmart by my house. I seriously cannot wait until we move far away from this Walmart. First of all, the employees are rude and really don't give a shit about you or you being a customer. The ONLY good employees are the people in the paint department, and I honestly feel sorry for them that they have to work at such a scum location. Tonight the lines were so long (as always). I waited 20 minutes to get to SELF CHECKOUT. I checked out my items and I was about to pay when the guy working says I can't pay with a Walmart gift card.. Well guess what?! That's what I was going to pay with. He tells me that I can't pay with a damn gift card (which by the way I could've). If looks could kill, he would've been dead because I was livid. I then tell him to check me out at his little register there (cause that's what they're there for, many employees have done it before) he not only tells me no, but tells me what to do (pay with a credit card-WHICH IS NOT WHAT I WANTED TO DO) when I told him I wasn't going to pay with a credit card the dude got incredibly snappy with me and caught a tone, he said, "Well then, I don't know what to tell you" and I said, "What do I do then? I'm trying to leave here I've been waiting forever" and he said in the rudest most mean tone, "I DONT KNOW WHAT YOU SHOULD DO" Okay, first of all, YOU WORK AT WALMART, you should be able to direct customers and have answers. You really should. If you can't even work a job at Walmart and be nice and help out a customer, MAYBE you shouldn't work there... Anyways, so I gave him a fuckin glare and walked my happy ass to the lines where there were at least a hundred people waiting & I waited in line for another 30 fucking minutes...to buy 8 things. That's it, 8 things. I seriously hate this place and the people working here. They're never ever helpful, they are ALWAYS fucking rude, and they truly don't give a shit about their customers. Nobody would even call a manager for me!!!!!!! The guy working self checkout at 8PM on June 20th, 2015 should be fired. This place really upsets me. My husband and I filled our basket with groceries and while he was checking out on self check out, I ran to grab a mascara real quick, hoping to get back to him before he paid. I grabbed the mascara and started going back to self check out to purchase it with the rest of our stuff, when I got stopped by an employee who told me I had to purchase any make up items at her special register. Of course, I didn't have any money with me because my husband was using it to pay for our other items. I had to call him on the phone, wait for him to finish buying our things, and then he had to come to the other side of the store so that I could buy my 3 dollar item at the special register. There are a rediculous amount of cameras back there as it is and when you leave the store you have to show an employee your receipt to prove you purchased all your items. This Walmart makes their loyal customers feel like criminals and inconviences them at the same time. They made my "real quick stop at Walmart" much longer than needed and very unpleasant. I understand that people steal, but this place is only hurting their customers that spend thousands of dollars there every year, making them the multi million dollar company that they are. What happened to the days of pleasing your customers? Come on, Walmart, do better! read more

Went to Walmart, which is literally the last thing I wanted to do, however I had to exchange something my family sent my son. The girl at the counter was extremely rude and seemed to be bothered that I was there. The girl at the counter "Amanda" proceeded to tell me I needed a receipt even just to get a different size? I have never heard of that, but yes we are at Walmart and yes the counter girl "Amanda" did not seem knowledgeable in her job. So an assistant manager "Christine" was called over. Wow! What a ridiculous example of a leader in any means. She was worse than Amanda! She was so rude, she walked away while I was explaining my family sent the wrong size. Christine gave me this look like she just wantedto Take a nap in the break room. Ha! If you hate your job that bad, there will be someone who would be glad to replace you and do a better job! I don't shop at Walmart for excellent customer service. It's a bargain superstore. I go for the deals and I get out of there. But today I had the pleasure of being checked out by Nathan at the garden center register this evening. He was efficient and careful with my groceries and was a very pleasant young man. I asked him what he did before working here? He says, "it's my first job." I was amazed. Great hire, Walmart. You struck gold in that kid. read more

When a friend and i were walking in we asked the greeter Alondra where the bathroom was, she responded in the most rude way that i was completely taken a back.... i tried to laugh it off and keep going with my day like everything was just fine but while walking out she actually stopped both me and my friend to pretty much tell us to laugh at ourselves.. we then asked for her name she moved her hair over her name tag and tried to walk away. We then asked a fellow coworker for her name in which he then told us we can't harass an employee when we were the ones stopped and harassed .... the way she was acting was VERY aggressive... as a manager myself I would NEVER want someone greeting my customers like that. I did talk to a manager he apologized but the damage has been done.. I will now be driving an extra ten minutes to go to a Walmart because i never want to experience that again. read more

For some reason this store has two persistent problems. I have physical problems that cause major pain if I try to due all of my shopping. There is often no electric carts available. If they are not out of order, they're all in use. I have to cut my shopping short and go somewhere else that is more expensive. COSCO, Von's and Albertson don't have this problem. There sometimes long delays - weeks - in restocking items. It's disappointing to have to go somewhere else for one item. I managed a lab that supported Antimissile systems. Parts were a major effort, but we figured it out. Sometimes a fighter jet would come to the local air port to pick up their stuff when it was ready! read more

Great location for this Walmart, it's located within a big plaza so parking is never an issue. This Walmart has a Subway inside so if you want to rest and grab a healthy meal you have that option. Depending on when you go, if you're in need of installing cable they do have a Cox representative with a booth set up at times near the entrance right when you walk in. It has a wide selection of items to choose from, you can probably get your whole days shopping done here. The lines can get hectic, but what you expect it is Walmart after all. I have yet come across bad customer service, the cashiers are usually friendly. Once you get your shopping done here, you can consider grabbing some food or dessert around the plaza. I do believe this Walmart is 24hrs so you can get your shopping done later during the day if you has a busy work schedule. read more
