Walmart gets very busy but they have several carts with seats available which is nice. I'm glad they're well maintained and don't go too fast. They hold a lot of items so sometimes it's hard to turn when the cart gets full. This Walmart has nice people who check you out and check your receipt at the exit area. The greeter was very nice and we had a nice conversation. They keep the ethnic hair products well stocked and they offer sales on them often which is great. Especially when you'd like to try a different brand. They have good night products to keep your hair healthy. Prices are lower than amazon and Sallys. Good variety too. Pretty standard with what you would expect of a Walmart as far as service/set up not bad also not stand out (not to generalize, but the Walmart vibe is kind of a distinct vibe IYKYK) - Unfortunately the pick up orders have been inconsistent hit or miss, sometimes wait times are very long (but it is a bigger store in their defense!) I have had missing items, damaged items, moldy fruit sadly, would really love to see some improvements in that department because with a toddler pick up orders can be a god send on harder/hectic days. read more

I had an oil change this morning and the service great! They all were very happy and personable . From the ticket writer, Eduardo, to the cashier DK, who rang me up, great customer service. I walk with a cane, and Eduardo told me he would park my card up front. I heard DK checking other customers out, and he made small talk, held a conversation with them. Probably the worst Walmart that I've been to besides the one in Vista. I understand that we're not in the best part of Oceanside, but it's so aggravating how they have everything locked up. It takes them 20 to 30 minutes to come open up the display cases just to grab the item that we need. It's super frustrating to see other employees. My wife had left her phone somewhere in the store. We tracked it to within about 25 feet of its location. The parking lot is big so there is always parking. There are several cashiers so the lines are so long you have to wait forever. I like knowing I can buy ice cream and it wont melt while in line. Bottom Line Up Front: Poor customer service. I have been going to this Walmart for over 10 years. Long story short my son saw that there was a whole section of Hot Wheels on sale for 1.24. No other price other than 1.17 towards the right of the 1.24 (pics for ref). We wait in line to pay, and scan our items and it's not 1.24. I get told to go see the service section. I go take a pic of the area I got them from, I go to the service dept; the cashier says she has to get the manager. Manager Arianne comes over and right off the back, it's a poor representation. The first words out of her mouth were "What is it that you want". I explained the price difference, and she then scanned the product and said no it was 3.97. She then scans with her cell and it comes up 3.62. So now there are 3 different prices. I explain to her and show her the picture of what's in the store. Which has no other price other than what I said. She says "What part of no did you not get"? Of course, I'm going to get upset and tell her "How is it the customer's fault your prices are all jacked up"? She gives me this stare and says is that all? I said, so you're not going to respect the posted price nor at least apologize for the confusion and have someone fix it. Continues to stare me down. I asked for her supervisor's number which she said was Emily at the store number, with no care in the world. Then says is that all and walks away. So that is my 10-year-old son's experience of how adults act. I have been here day and night I have seen the huddle of employees around each other and how they get guidance. I know Walmart does its part to get good training and guidance to its employees. This lady needs that right now or to find a job that does not frustrate her because Walmart is 100% customer based and I know some customers are horrible but I was one of the good ones. read more

It's been awhile since I did a review for Walmart. I think they got a bad rap from social media. If you can go in the morning to do your shopping, that's great! I think that is the best time to go. Employees are not tired and shelves are well stocked. I came in this morning and I see employees are all smiling and happy to help you if you have a question. As for check out the best thing is self checkout. You're in and out of there in no time! If you make a mistake, don't worry! There's someone waiting to help you. I like this store, but customer service is not exactly great...There were at least 5 employees that walked right past me without a word. I get it--customer service is closed, but instead of making a customer wait, I feel they should be attended to first, so that they are not waiting. I know Walmart is a huge conglomerate, but they need to up their curbside pickup system and make it possible for people to not have to park outside...what if it's raining outside and the customer does not have a vehicle? I am so sick and tired of constantly being inconvenienced by the self checkout attendants! When they were all open and I could go to any one there wasn't a problem. Then they closed them claiming staff shortage. When most but not all opened back up it's now only if you have 15 items or less you can use the ones in the corral. Some were reserved for Spark drivers only and yet they didn't have any for Instacart shoppers. On the morning of Wednesday June 5, 2024 I saw an old black guy checking out at the one set aside for Spark drivers and at the time I didn't see that it was because of the change in signage. But I could see on his phone that he was doing an Instacart order and not Spark. He also clearly had more than 15 items. How come he was allowed to use it and why is that when I try to I always get told I can't and to use a different one?! Deep down I can't help but think it's because he was black like the self checkout attendant lady was and she wants to inconvenience me due to being white and having called her out on her crap before in the past. Like when they actually didn't have any bags there. Talk about reverse racism. Even at the Vista location on University and Sycamore I've gotten hassled by the black and Hispanic self checkout attendants. So I'm going to say it. Terrible service. We have been sitting at pick up for over a hour and a half. No one answers our calls and we've asked an employee for help about what's going on and they were rude and blew us off. We've been approached multiple times with other peoples orders and told them who we are more than 3 times and still come to us with the wrong name on the wrong order. When an order is said to be ready at a certain time for pick up it should be ready at that time. I should not be still waiting on a pick up almost 2 hours after it was said to be ready. I had a complicated online return citation and I literally was repeatedly interrupted EVERYtime I tried to provide the pertinent information they would need to help me find a solution. I came in knowing I was not going to be able to return my item... it was past the date requirement and it was from a third party seller! As they ran me through their protocols for a standard Walmart return (which is fine if they were pleasant about it) they restated all the same information I had already provided but reacted as if it were New Info to them! I provided it more than once already! They used the basic information they found from my receipt to discredit any other information I shared. I absolutely cannot understand why three staff members (including a store manager) could not have the patience (there were no customers in a line behind me) to hear me out. I wasn't even asking for my money back... After the first 30 seconds of trying to express why I came to the customer service desk in the first place I became painfully aware It was going to be a challenge to find an answer to my question!! I walked away feeling like any person who witnessed this had to think "that dumb lady was trying to pull a fast one on Walmart!" Walmart Delivery Service Since Covid 19 and my husband is at risk, we have been avoiding leaving the house as much as possible. So we signed up for Walmart delivery May 2020. I've been placing a delivery order about every two weeks and overall, we have been really happy with the accuracy, timeliness and accuracy. (so about 15 deliveries so far) One time an item was missing from the order, I called the customer service # and they immediately refunded. One time a few eggs were broken, again they refunded with no problem. We actually have received extra items twice - a giant jug of Pace salsa and another time a pack of string cheese. Its like a little mystery bonus! Only one time was our delivery way, way, way delayed a lot later - it was on a Saturday evening. I was a little nervous because my order had It's-Its, Drumsticks, Vanilla Ice Cream and other frozen items. (please don't judge me!) The order did arrive eventually, the groceries were fine, and the driver told me that Saturday nights are the absolute worse, crazy busy time for delivery. I guess a lot of liquor orders, party supplies? So best days for us have been Sundays late morning. Even after we all get vaccines and we get back to "normal" I will probably keep ordering this way.
